New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went to the locker room for treatment of an arm injury, but did not miss a play in Sunday's 22-21 loss to Miami.

Brady was coy about what happened when he left the field in the first quarter.

"I had to come in here and get some stuff taken care of," he said.

The pains are accumulating for Brady, who came in with right shoulder and finger injuries. He threw two interceptions in the final 10 minutes, but Brady declined to blame health issues.

The latest injury occurred when Brady took a hit as he threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss. While Patriots teammates celebrated, Brady trotted off the field and kept going, vanishing through the tunnel.

He returned five minutes later, and following a Miami punt he was back in the game. Brady finished 19 for 29 for 352 yards and two scores.

Dolphins linebacker Jason Taylor also left the game, then returned.

He said the training staff didn't try to keep him on the bench with a right shoulder injury.

"They know better," he said.

Taylor was hurt on a pass play that went for a 58-yard completion for the Patriots in the second quarter. He was treated briefly on the bench and then left the field.

He was back in the game in the third quarter despite the injury.

"It hurts," he said. "It's a tough game."

Taylor finished with two tackles.

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub returned to his game after getting treatment for a separated shoulder.

Schaub hurt his left shoulder on the Texans' first play of a 23-18 loss to Jacksonville. After getting sacked by Derrick Harvey, Schaub stayed on the ground as trainers rushed onto the field. Schaub eventually walked off without any help, but spent just a few minutes on the bench before heading to the locker room for tests.

He returned late in the second quarter, with the Texans trailing 17-0.

Rex Grossman replaced Schaub and threw an interception on his second attempt. Grossman was 3 of 9 for 33 yards when Schaub returned.

Bears wide receiver and kick returner Devin Hester left Chicago's 17-9 win over the St. Louis Rams in the third quarter with a calf injury.

Hester was hurt on an end-around play when he took a handoff and was tackled for a 4-yard loss. He limped off the field, received some treatment on the sideline and then walked gingerly into the tunnel to the dressing room. Earlier in the game, Hester had a 48-yard reception from Jay Cutler.

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback William Gay sustained an apparent concussion during an accidental helmet-to-helmet collision with teammate Ryan Mundy during the fourth quarter of the Oakland Raiders' 27-24 comeback victory.
