Jasmine Thomas scored 20 points and No. 10 Duke beat Western Kentucky 70-47 on Thursday.
The Blue Devils (4-1) led by nine at halftime and opened up the second half with a 14-3 run over the first 6 minutes to take control of the game. Western Kentucky cut its deficit on Kenzie Rich's 3-pointer that made it 42-27, but the Blue Devils quickly stretched the lead back to 20 and put the game away.
Courtney Clifton scored 11 points to lead the Lady Toppers (3-1). Lashay Davis added 10.
Allison Vernerey had 10 points for Duke, which shot 23-for-29 from the free throw line.
The Blue Devils, who will face Marquette on Friday, led 18-13 late in the first half and extended the advantage to 12 before Clifton's 3-pointer made it 28-19 at the half.
