Coastal Carolina rallies past Gardner-Webb 26-21

Tommy Fraser scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter and Coastal Carolina rallied to beat Gardner-Webb 26-21 on Saturday.

Fraser, who had 90 yards rushing, scored on a 4-yard run with 4:17 to play for the Chanticleers (4-5, 2-2 Big South). Zach MacDowall went 25-for-42 with 332 yards. He threw touchdowns of 25 yards to Akeem Wesley and 39 yards to Marcus Whitener. The Chanticleers rolled up 473 yards of total offense.

Defensively, Josh Norman intercepted three passes for the Chanticleers.

Patrick Hall rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs (5-4, 2-2). Hall's 1-yard run near the end of the third quarter put the Bulldogs ahead 21-17.

The Chanticleers outscored the Bulldogs 10-0 in the final quarter on the strength of a 26-yard field goal by Justin Durham and Fraser's run.
