BRANDON, Fla. (BP)--Services for Forrest Pollock, pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, and his son Preston are scheduled for Saturday, May 17, in Brandon, Fla.

Pollock, 44, and Preston, 13, were killed in a plane crash May 12 in the rugged mountains of western North Carolina.

A "celebration of life" will begin at 11 a.m. at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Road, preceded by a gathering of friends at 9:30 a.m. at the Tampa-area church. Interment will be next week in Oklahoma City, Pollock's hometown.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Bell Shoals building fund. Notes to the family can be sent to pollockfamily@bellshoals.com.

Pollock had been pastor of the 6,000-member Tampa-area church since 2002. He is survived by his wife Dawn Allen and five other children, Courtney, 15; Brooke, 14; Hope, 12; Blake, 10; and Kirk, 8.
