A parallel purchasing managers’ index for the non-manufacturing sector, which covers construction and services, rose to 52.2 up from 50 in November.

View More »Trump ideas would alter the world map
Some of President-elect Trump’s ideas would cause some major changes on the world map. During a wide-ranging press conference, Trump said the U-S needs control of Greenland and the Panama Canal for “economic security.” When asked, he refused to rule out the use of military force. The president-elect also doubled down on his suggestion that Canada merge with the U-S. And he wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America.”

A growing wave of frustration in Los Angeles has sparked a recall petition for Democrat Mayor Karen Bass. Despite the city’s rising crime, homelessness, and a series of controversial decisions, the wildfires that have destroyed lives, homes, and businesses were the final straw for residents. Voters are demanding accountability and change. Critics argue that Bass’s leadership has only exacerbated the city’s problems, with many calling for stronger policies to restore law and order. As the petition gains momentum, it’s clear that LA residents are losing patience with what they see as failed leadership. The pressure for Bass to address the mounting concerns or face potential removal from office is mounting.

Sweden is closing churches
VERBATIM: It’s all about so-called climate change. The Lutheran National Church of Sweden says it will shut down seven houses of worship on the island of Gotland from October to May, in order to eliminate the use of fossil fuels to heat them. Local parishioners who would like to attend services during that time are simply out of luck. Church officials have issued a statement saying “ “Knowledge about climate justice should permeate all activities of Church of Sweden.” MH SRN NEWS.
