Fri, May 31, 2024 at 12:59 pm
West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin [I-WV] has left the Democrat Party and registered as an Independent. Manchin pulled the plug on his affiliation with Democrats citing partisanship on both sides of the aisle posing what he sees as a threat to Democracy.  Posting on X he writes: -quote-“To stay true to myself and remain committed to put country before party, I have decided to register as an independent with no party affiliation and continue to fight for America’s sensible majority,”  Manchin is not running for re-election to the senate and signaled this week he won’t seek to reclaim his old job as governor in west Virginia.

Trump can still vote in November if he stays out of prison

Sat, Jun 1, 2024 at 7:03 am

Donald Trump’s felony conviction won’t stop him from being able to vote — as long as he avoids prison.
