Federal judge blocks Trump’s NIH funding cuts

A federal judge is preventing the Trump administration from drastically cutting medical research funding. After temporarily blocking the National Institutes of Health cuts last month, a federal judge is putting the cuts on hold for longer, while lawsuits proceed. Scientists argue that a drastic reduction in medical research funding will endanger patients and delay new lifesaving discoveries. The Trump administration has dismissed some of the funding expenses as “overhead,” but universities and hospitals argue they’re far more critical.

Will Trump’s Face Appear on the $100 Bill?

A Republican lawmaker is introducing legislation to immortalize President Donald Trump on 100 dollar bills. Correspondent Bernie Bennett has more on the story.

Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas said that he plans to introduce a bill to feature President Trump’s likeness on the $100 note once his current term concludes.

Gill sait in an interview, “President Trump could be enjoying his golden years golfing and spending time with his family. Instead, he took a bullet for this country and is now working overtime to secure our border, fix our uneven trade relationship with the rest of the world, make America energy independent again, and put America first by ending useless foreign aid.”

Gill says replacing Benjamin Franklin with Trump on the $100 bill “is a small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years.”

VERBATIM:  A new Gallup poll finds that less than one-third of adults think that the major news outlets are telling them the truth most of the time.  Christians are especially skeptical, given their treatment by the big networks and publications.  Another poll revealed that less than 20% of reporters say they know very much about religion.  The decline in media trust is most pronounced amongst Republicans, but Democratic trust is down as well.  MH SRN NEWS.
