President Barack Obama says Europe's leaders can solve their debt crisis _ if they can muster the political will.
The president said Europe is wealthy enough that there's no reason not to solve the economic problems sweeping the continent. He says, "It's not as if we're talking about some impoverished country that doesn't have the resources."
Obama says European leaders recognize the urgent need for something serious and bold, and the question is whether they can get it done.
Obama also reiterated warnings that problems in Europe could have a big impact on the ability to generate jobs in the U.S.
He spoke Thursday at the White House.
