Trump fires top ethics officer and whistleblower protector
President Trump has fired two officials in government watchdog positions. The president dismissed the federal government’s top ethics official as well as the leader of the agency dedicated to protecting whistleblowers. These are the latest moves in the administration’s government overhaul. The president has been pushing out civil service employees and replacing them with political appointees. Hampton Dellinger, who led the Office of Special Counsel, filed a lawsuit on Monday claiming he was illegally removed from his job.

Trump Transgender Policies Challenged in Court
Two Trump administration executive orders targeting the rights of transgender and nonbinary people are facing fresh court challenges. Reporter Bernie Bennett has more.
VERBATIM: Three Democratic states sued Friday over the order to ban federal funding for gender-affirming care for transgender people under 19. It’s at least the second challenge to the policy that was put forth late last month.
Trump signed an executive order last month directing federally run insurance programs, including Medicaid and TRICARE for military families, to exclude coverage for such care. It also calls on the Department of Justice to pursue litigation and legislation to oppose it.
Trump also signed an executive order on Wednesday intended to ban transgender athletes from participating in girls’ and women’s sports.

Google abandons DEI
Google abandons DEI
VERBATIM: The world’s most popular search engine says it will no longer pursue a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program that, amongst other things, sought to promote the LGBT agenda. Google joins numerous other leading corporations, including some of Silicon Valley’s biggest names, in stepping back from DEI even as President Trump declares war on the concept within the federal government. Target made a similar announcement earlier this month. MH SRN NEW.
