NEW YORK (AP) — Miami Marlins President David Samson was voted off CBS's "Survivor: Cagayan" on the first night.
Samson, who turned 46 on the day the episode was telecast Wednesday, wore a navy blazer, blue dress shirt and tan khakis at the start of the episode. He was elected leader of the "Brains" team, which competed against "Beauty" and "Brawn."
This season is set in the Philippines province of Cagayan.
Samson voted to kick off J'Tia Taylor, a 31-year-old nuclear engineer from Chicago, and whispered to the camera "in the real world I may hire you, but in this world not tonight."
The tribe cast four votes to kick off Samson and two to kick off Taylor.
