Gold and other metals are ending higher. Crude oil is also ending higher, while crop prices are lower.
Gold for August delivery rose $32, or 2.6 percent, to settle at $1,255.70 an ounce Monday. Silver also rose, but not as sharply. Copper, platinum and palladium rose between 3 and 4 percent.
Crude oil rose 1.5 percent on growing concerns about Middle East tensions and their possible impact on oil supplies.
Benchmark crude for August delivery was up( $1.43 to close at $97.99 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Prices for wheat, corn and soybean futures fell.
