Medicines Co. suing Teva, Pliva again over patent

APNews | Jan 04, 2010

Drug maker Medicines Co. said Monday it is suing a unit of Teva Pharmaceutical Laboratories Inc. and Pliva Hrvatsk claiming infringement of another patent pertaining to the company's anti-clotting agent Angiomax.

Medicines said it flied the lawsuits in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware after Teva and Pliva asked the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to approve a generic version of Angiomax. Specifically, it is suing over the '343' patent.

Medicines is already involved in lawsuits with the same companies over a separate patent on Angiomax.
