Ky. economists to meet to make revenue forecast

APNews | Dec 21, 2009

A panel of Kentucky economists will meet Monday afternoon to forecast tax revenues for the coming year.

Those economists from Kentucky universities serve on a financial forecasting group that advises state officials on revenue expectations.

Their work has been especially noticed during the economic recession when state revenues plummeted, causing widespread cuts to government services.

The panel's last prediction, made in October, was for an additional $160 million revenue shortfall this fiscal year.
