Manufacturing conglomerate 3M Co. and Medline Industries Inc., which distributes health care products, said Monday they have agreed to resolve claims that each company falsely advertised their respective surgical hand cleaners.
The cleaners, Medline's Sterillium Rub and 3M's Avagard Surgical Hand Antiseptic, are used by doctors, nurses and other health care providers in preventing infection.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The parties' claims against each another will be dismissed, both companies said.
