Questcor Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Friday it appointed to its board Louis Silverman, CEO of Marina Medical Billing Service Inc.

Silverman, 51, was president and CEO of LifeComm Inc., a Qualcomm-incubated wireless health services startup, before joining Marina Medical in August.

Silverman's appointment expands Questcor's board to six from five members.

Marina Medical, provides revenue cycle management services to emergency room physicians.

Shares of Questcor, a drug manufacturer, rose 6 cents to $4.14 in afternoon trading.
