About 26,000 LED Rocketship PalPODzzz portable night lights, made in China and imported by Osram Sylvania Products Inc., of Danvers, Mass., because the bottom cover on the recharging base can break and expose internal electrical components. This poses an electric shock hazard. The company received three reports of the bottom of the recharging base breaking and consumers touching internal components that resulted in minor electric shocks. The recall involves LED Rocketship PalPODzzz portable night lights with model number 72174. The products are shaped as rocket ships. They were sold at Home Depot, Stop & Shop and other retailers nationwide and online from October 2008 through November 2009. About 700 Super Rigs play sets, made in China and imported by Variety Wholesalers Inc., of Henderson, N.C., because the toy truck's surface coating has high levels of lead, which is toxic if young children ingest it. No illnesses or injuries have been reported. The recall involves the "Super Rig Transport" toy truck with trailer and vehicles. The recalled toy trucks were sold at discount stores in the Southeast from September through November 2009. About 28,100 log splitters in the U.S. and Canada because the product's control handle could fail to automatically return to the neutral position and could fail to stop the splitting wedge from moving forward. This could pose a risk of amputation to consumers' hands and fingers. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The products were made in the U.S. by MTD Products Inc., of Cleveland. They were sold at Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Sears, Wal-Mart, hardware stores and independent dealers from November 2008 through October 2009.
