State gaming officials have fined a western Pennsylvania casino $10,000 for allowing two ineligible gamblers to play slot machines.
The Gaming Control Board found that an 18-year-old played slots for about 45 minutes at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino on Aug. 11. The legal age to play slots is 21.
Officials also found that a person who registered on the state's self-exclusion list played the slots and obtained a casino "club card" on Aug. 26.
The self-exclusion list allows problem gamblers to ban themselves from casinos, which must deny them gaming privileges. The person was identified when trying to cash a check at the casino.
The board announced Wednesday that the Pittsburgh-area casino would pay $5,000 for each violation.
