The Wyoming Business Council board has recommended public funding for 40 projects that would affect 32 communities around the state.
The funding recommended Thursday adds up to nearly $19 million from the state and federal governments.
Recommended funding includes $1.5 million to the city of Evansville to build infrastructure for a business park. Similar grants for business infrastructure would go to several other cities and towns, including $730,000 for Cody and $471,000 for Chugwater.
Grant requests turned down include $2.9 million sought by Laramie for an early learning center and nearly $1.5 million sought by Lyman for road and infrastructure improvements.
