Landauer Inc. said Monday its board increased its quarterly dividend to 53.75 cents per share for the first quarter.

Landauer, based in Glenwood, Ill., is a consultant on radiation exposure to hospitals, medical offices, universities and others.

The increase means its yearly dividend rate is $2.15 per share, up from $2.10 per share last year.

The dividend will be paid Jan. 4 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 11.

Shares of Landauer rose 14 cents to $56.25 in late afternoon trading.
