US dollar mixed in Europe

The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday morning. Gold rose.

The euro traded at $1.5726, down from $1.5733 late Monday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

_106.51 Japanese yen, down from 106.96

_1.0231 Swiss francs, down from 1.0259

_1.0187 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0177

The British pound was quoted at $1.9774, down from $1.9775.

Gold traded in London at $ 929.25 per troy ounce, up from $916.75 late Monday.
