Don't just put your trust in President Obama or in Mitt Romney. Elect the president who will put his trust in "We the People." That's right. It's time to put your trust in yourself, your fellow countrymen, your community, and the ability of a renewed American Dream to once again transform our economy and our country. We need a president who instead of micromanaging the economy and taking advantage of the producers who work hard to earn the rewards they deserve, will once again let our people go to produce the recovery America so desperately needs.

More government jobs is not the answer, because every dollar used to create those jobs is more money taken from taxpayers like you who could use that money to buy what you wanted, to invest in companies you believe could reap a profitable return, or to save for your family's future. Government money isn't free. Government spending either takes money through fees, fines and taxes and sends it to the government-controlled economy or it prints money that increases our debt and our taxes to pay off what we owe.

President Obama is learning a painful lesson Harvard obviously failed to teach him. Economic theories alone don't improve economies--entrepreneurs, investors and workers do! Unfortunately, applying the wrong theories make it less likely that people's dreams ever see the light of day.

The current administration has done nothing but get in the way of small business expansion. While providing short-term rewards for hiring new workers, President Obama's team has created long-term fear and uncertainty by generating a stifling array of new regulations, higher healthcare costs, and higher taxes if one is fortunate enough to be successful. Is it no wonder entrepreneurs are reluctant to put their money at risk on new ventures or risk hiring new employees?

President Obama’s recent comments about business entrepreneurs reflect hostility instead of honor: “If you have a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen." With that kind of worldview, it's easy to justify taking from the fruits of the producers and redistributing it any way the government sees fit.

Yes, in our free enterprise system, it does take a village working together to producing a vibrant economy! But in the past, the American "village" prospered because liberty and property rights ensured that hard work and innovation were rewarded. Our system allowed success and failure. Some in our village became richer and some remained poor, but there was always the motivation to dream, to work, and to achieve.

Contrary to what liberals would want you to believe, people still can move from poverty to success. As Henry Ford would say, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”

Mr. President, let our people go! Let it once again be easier and less expensive to do business in our country. Let Americans once again innovate and reap the benefits of their creation and their hard work. Let workers earn the wages they deserve and not what government imposes. Make working payoff more than staying dependent on the government.

As Ronald Reagan explained in his farewell address to the nation, “Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: ‘We the People.’ ‘We the People’ tell the government what to do; it doesn’t tell us. ‘We the People’ are the driver; the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world’s constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which ‘We the People’ tell the government what it is allowed to do. ‘We the People’ are free."

Mr. President, let our people go! If not, get out of the way and let us elect a President who will.
