The ‘Following Days’ After the Fourth of July

Freedom requires vigilance. George Washington said that ultimately for this government to succeed it will depend on the goodness of those who participate in it. We have criminal lawyers in DC today that We the People have elected who continue to game the system. We get the government we deserve.

The crowd, guessing approx. 1,500, appeared to be controlled extremeists, and I didn't even hear a curse word. After returning home, I must say that I was extremely disappointed that Fox News and some of the talk radio hosts didn't even acknowledge the tea parties. Can someone tell me what possible hidden agenda these news outlets have in not discussing the tea parties? Fox not only reported the tax day parties, but also had hosts of shows attending. The TEA Parties were blacked out by the media this time. Where were the patriots? There should have been massive TEA Party protests all across America, but too many Americans were perfectly happy celebrating their Socialism, their enslavement, and their dying country. It is truly beyond ironic that Americans were celebrating the birth of their nation while their nation is on life support and rapidly approaching the throes of death.

They fear standing up for the conservative Constitutional principles they allege to support by continuing to vote for the Socialist GOP instead of a 3rd Party like the Constitution Party that truly represents Constitutional Conservative thoughts and ideals. They like their Socialism - NOT THEIR INDEPENDENCE. As Albert Einstein so eloquently stated in defining "insanity": Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. This is precisely what you have with those Conservatives who believe they can change the GOP from within. How long have they been doing this now???

Prospective signers might want to spend an hour actually reading the document, particularly the litany of charges against the government of King George. Those acts of "tyranny" are eerily similar to the current state of the union. Then read the final sentence and put your life, security and honor on the line. Most of the 56 lost much. Are we prepared to lose as much for the continued Liberty of our nation?

If we were in a similar situation as they were in 1776 I'd like to think most Americans would sign. But, like many Torys in 1776, I'm afraid most now wouldn't even consider it. "We'd lose our Welfare benefits!" "Our unions would have to shut down!" "They might KILL me!!!!"
