The Americans, In Review

Mr. Sinclair is gone now, having died in 1984. Yet, I wonder if he would have written the same rebuke/tribute today. If you read the transcript of his broadcast, and adjust for the slightly different, but strikingly similar events of the day, I believe that it still applies. I truly hope that more Gordon Sinclairs exist on this planet. Whenever I hear of my fellow countrymen disparaging this nation, especially those privileged hedonistic malcontents who are our Hollywood elite, I think that maybe I will follow Ronald Reagan's lead, and pull out Gordon's transcript for a heart-healing read.

A Special Note: I want to refrain from the practice of making comments about the physical appearance of people with whom I disagree; however, Mr. Chavez of Venezuela is a vile cancer on the Western Hemisphere. I am an American citizen, and have little power to address his hate-filled insults in any meaningful way, so I reserve the right to acknowledge his resemblance to Mister Potato Head at every opportunity.
