The racial/class appeal of the latest Hillary Clinton is no longer disguised; it's just put in terms a political consultant rather than a good ol' boy would use. It's quite a comedown from George Wallace's feisty eloquence in the old days about pointy-headed intellectuals, but the appeal is remarkably the same.

Now it's Hillary Rodham Clinton who's supposed to be the candidate of hard-working Americans, white Americans. As if black Americans don't work hard, too. And, of course, nobody ever saw a lazy, no-account white American.

Goodness, can the lady be fooling anybody, including herself?

To paraphrase Joseph Welsh, Joe McCarthy's nemesis during the Army-McCarthy hearings, "Have you no sense of decency, ma'am, at long last? Have you no sense of decency?"
