To be truthful, all the controversy here has been stirred by gays. The Scouts were not screening anybody as to their sexual proclivities. I don't know that they have thrown anybody out that wasn't making a point to push their gayness or atheism. Scouts really don't sit around discussing sexual orientation. The program really is about badges, training, service, being an excellent camper, learning skills that you just won't get anywhere else. The Scouts are wise to recognize the real danger that homosexual leaders pose to adolescent boys. And more to the point, parents are not going to send their boy camping with such a leader. Do the girl scouts send their girls out into the woods with male leaders?
