This edict from HHS is yet another big government mandate placed upon the people of this country, which will dictate what they can or can’t do – what they will or won’t do – regardless of how their own consciences might lead them. Johnson also recognized this aspect of the mandate, thus he described it as “a potential tremendous assault on the individual liberties of all and especially an attack on people of faith.”
To employers who are people of faith, the mandate basically requires them to set their faith aside when it comes to providing health services for their employees. Planned Parenthood might like this, but no one who takes their faith and the Founding Fathers’ view of government seriously can approve of such a bureaucratic overreach.
