That's what your chump party is foisting on your stupid a$$. Payments start in January 2010, if it passes, but benefits won't take affect until 2014. All the while thousands, according to your annointed one, (the little half-black samb-O), are dying because they don't have health insurance.

I've worked for 35 years. My family and I have always had health insurance because my husband and I have always worked and paid for it. Please explain to me why I should pay for someone else? You claim to be a Christian-have you seen the words in the Bible "if a man will not work, he will not eat"? Where in your Bible does it say it's ok to take from one person to give to another, of your choosing? And what makes you qualified to judge whether someone has enough and ought to give to someone else? God made that an individual choice-he didn't give you - or the government - that authority. He does tell us to give, but it's supposed to be a decision we make ourselves. Is it your goal to always be like you are now, or do you hope to work...

What is true, is that Lincoln submitted his Emancipatioon Proclimation only to those states that were still at war with the union. He did it not to free the slaves, but to weaken the morale of those left at home to tend the family farms. Without the slave help to bring in crops and keep up the farms, he caused much starvation not only to the white owners, but to the slaves themselves.

I know that was not the topic of this column, but it bothers me that the real history of Lincoln is not taught.

They do so well at holding our tax money in a Lock Box. Social Security, Medicare, Fuel Tax -- every one goes for something else.

But they will reduce the cost of health care. By paying providers less, it will cost less. Good providers will quit, and the ones left will be worth most of what they get.

Doing without is very inexpensive.

America is already at a point of maximum saturation in bureaucracy hindering our global competitiveness. Adding yet another thick layer of bureaucratic controls (and tyranny) to our litigious culture will only make our business environment even more hostile.
To top it all off, our extreme indebtedness, unpayable at any rate, will push this once great nation to insolvency, mediocrity and poverty.
How long do these clowns in DC think the international communiry will continue to artificially prop up the Dollar and lend us the funds to pay for their follies ?
