about seccesion is that sure, the States have the Right to secede. But the result would be the USA (now the U.S.S.A) would go to war against the offending State(s) just as happened in the Civil War.

Did slavery need to be abolished? Sure it did, it is an abhorrent practice. But the war was not fought as a result of the practice of slavery, it was fought in response to the seccession of States.

Regulators deciding they need to regulate more is normal behavior and increases their power. This is like the frog being disappointed in the scorpion ... does not change the outcome.

The time has come for the American people to demand a thorough study of our regulatory agencies. Most of them were created unconstitutionally, and they are nor permitted by our Constitution. The EPA, OSHA, and abuses of the Endangered Species Act are prime examples. Congress Should repeal the EPA for starters, and then reduce our budge by eliminating various other agencies.

Liberals suck.

Texas need only take a stand upon the 10th amendment. Texans should instruct their County Sheriffs to cease enforcement of unconstitutional laws, both state and federal. Texas' Governor should instruct his State's citizens to stop surrendering their money to the Feds, and pledge the use of force to protect and defend them against any Federal officer sent to molest them.

If the US government goes against the constitution that all states adopt before joining the union, shouldn't the states be given the right to secede? It wouldn't be the states that broke the agreement it would be the US government.

We have every infrastruture, ports, farms, ranches, industry, etc. to support our own country. Some people think Texas is just a wind blown prairie or desert. We have forests, hills, plains , wheat fields, fruit trees etc. but very little desert.

If Texas ever secedes, other states will follow.
Who knows the future? We Texans may be forced to secede to survive someday ,never underestimate Texans..

If Scesession is not a lawful alternative, then the union is not lawful either.

Texas does NOT have any more right to secede than any other state. That was a condition that Texans brought to the table, but it was thrown out in the final settlement for statehood.

The fact is, the treaty under which Texas joined the U.S. provides that it could be divided into five separate states. But it is not empowered to leave the union, a question that the Civil War seems to have settled once and for all. - Dallas Morning News

That in no way prevents us from deciding that the potential hardships from secession are more appealing than the lasting effects of socialism (see all previous socialist regimes).
