I find this article's central question and thesis absurd. As a feminist, humanitarian, and thinking person, I find both Palin and "Sharia law" EQUALLY appalling and worthy of scorn. My mother's "feminist peers" don't talk about Sarah Palin. They, like most folks in the country, are busy working, paying the bills, traveling, hanging with the fam, and getting about life. I have a friend who is a "Christian" and supports the building of the mosque at Ground Zero. She claims she mainly supports it simply because she hates Sarah Palin. The tragic irony: Here is a woman purporting to be a Christian vilifying a Christian woman (Sarah Palin) who opposes a shrine being built as a testimony of victory over America.

Actually, this isn't entirely true. In it's beginning, NOW was a useful, helpful organization. In the early-mid 70s, when sexual harassment in the workplace was not only condoned it was expected. Having been on the receiving end of supply room feel-ups by the boss, NOW was the organization that stood up for me and those like me and forced the change in law.

Sadly, five years later they became irrelevant when harassment went from real harassment to "feeling uncomfortable" in the workplace and a general male-hating organization. It was sad to see, particularly since they had noble beginnings.

They became irrelevant when they supported Bill Clinton's use of power for sex in the workplace.
