President Barack Obama enjoys the celebrity and uniqueness of being America’s first black president but loathes the accountability that comes with the job. Since day one Obama, has cried racism as the cause for his inability to work with Republicans in Congress or basically get anything meaningful done in five years of his presidency.
Well, well, well. When Republicans tried to delay the Obamacare individual mandate during the government shutdown, Democrats and President Barack Obama called them “meanies” and obstructionists.
The federal government shut down and right now House Republicans look really stupid but so do the President and Senate Democrats. None of the three want to do the jobs they were elected to do: serve at the behest of “we the people.”
Where in the world is America, as Syria descends into utter carnage? This is the question nations are asking of us. Like it or not, America is the world’s conscience, defender of humanity, democracy and warrior against evil.
It’s ironic America’s first black president, who has done nothing but further polarize race relations in this country, would use the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington to reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy.
You’d think the Republican Party won the 2012 presidential election, the way Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus is carrying on about CNN and NBC airing Hillary Clinton movies.
Personal responsibility is for whites only, according to black apologists like MSNBC’s Toure Neblett, Oprah, Russell Simmons, and the mainstream media. In the wake of the George Zimmerman not guilty verdict in the death of Trayvon Martin, this low expectation message is pushed relentlessly--that all men (except blacks) are created equal with certain unalienable rights among them “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
The fact blacks praised Jay Z for his comments on the Zimmerman verdict and bashed CNN’s Don Lemon for pointing out the problems blacks bring on themselves is exactly what’s wrong with “Black America.”
When I think the Republican Party can’t get any more broken or branded as the party for out of touch white men, the GOP falls deeper into stupidity.
There’s a song that says “don’t let it go to your head, no.” Perhaps First Lady Michelle Obama and President Obama should listen to its lyrics. It seems America’s first black president -- as well as his wife -- have gotten so used to the coddling from the mainstream media that they believe they’re above criticism or heckling.
Any conservative, who thinks E.W. Jackson winning Virginia's 2013 Republican Lieutenant Governor nomination is a good thing, needs to have his or her head examined.
Wow, after five years of his loyal constituents supporting him and receiving nothing in return, it was nice to see President Obama address this year’s all black male Morehouse College graduates.
What is happening to our country? Gays, who represent less than 3% of our population, are trying to dominate our culture and society. Love whom you want. Love the one you’re with.
NBA player Jason Collins is gay. Who cares? Why is this news? And more importantly why did President Obama call him to congratulate him? Like other famous gay Americans, Ellen DeGeneres and Anderson Cooper, to name a few, it seems Washington Wizards Jason Collins wanted to put himself in the “spotlight.”
I can’t decide if the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) minority outreach effort is more like watching a sitcom or a soap opera dubbed “The Young and the Foolish.”
Enough with Republicans invoking analogies to slavery and plantations to make their case for conservative policies or attract minority voters. News flash: it doesn’t work!
Remember when Republican Rep. Peter King, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, held hearings in 2011 and 2012 on the radicalization of Muslims here at home?
Now Congress is a bunch of “shameful” liars, according to President Barack Obama because the Senate didn’t vote for a slew of gun control amendments he demanded. In his remarks about the Senate gun bill’s demise, Obama took his hypocrisy and insults to new heights, revealing an arrogance of power we haven’t seen since President Richard Nixon’s Watergate.
Every time I think the Republican National Committee is going to give me a break and not do something insulting, they give me another reason why neither I nor any other conservative should have any confidence in the RNC.
How ironic. Our first black President, Barack Obama, gets over 90% of the black vote in both elections but seems to run from black issues like he’s running from the plague. When was the last time he gave a policy speech on the breakdown of the black family?
