Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Last weekend's European Parliament and British local county council elections were not only a victory for the center-right over the center-left but also, more significantly, an indication of the growing rejection of the past 60 years of denationalized and consolidating European history. They were, particularly, a sharp assertion by many indigenous Europeans that they will not put up with losing their culture to overly assertive Muslims or other immigrants.

*** Special Offer ***

The latter point was made most emphatically by the voters of the Netherlands, Hungary, Finland, Britain, Austria, Denmark and Italy.

In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders' anti-Islamist, libertarian Freedom Party received 17 percent of the vote and four of 25 Dutch seats in the European Parliament. In Hungary, the center-right Fidesz Party trounced the Socialists (56-17 percent). The government-aligned Liberals were eliminated, with 2 percent of the vote, while the anti-immigrant, hard-right Jobbik won 15 percent of the vote and three seats in the European Parliament. Jobbik's leader, Gabor Vona, claimed that the "national front" was born Sunday and that they would "take to the streets" to urge early national elections.

In Austria, two anti-immigrant parties took an unprecedented 17.7 percent of the vote. The hard-right Danish People's Party won two seats in the European Parliament, with 14.4 percent of the vote. In Italy, the anti-immigrant Northern League gained more than 10 percent.

In Finland, the anti-immigrant, Euro-skeptic True Finns Party garnered 10 percent of the national vote (up from 0.5 percent in 2004), while its leader, Timo Soini, received 130,000 votes -- the most of any candidate from any party. The True Finns have been talking openly about the problems mass immigration has brought to Finland, and in a breakthrough, the current prime minister, the Centre Party's Matti Vanhanen, has admitted publicly that bringing up those problems cannot be construed as racist.

But the loudest vox populi was heard in Britain, where Nick Griffin's British National Party won two seats in the European Parliament (with about 8.5 percent of the vote) and picked up several important county council seats in the simultaneous British local election, with about 7 percent of the vote. The anti-Islamist BNP is a former neo-Nazi party. It partially has disowned that past and recently has reached out to the Jewish community, but it is still explicitly a party that only indigenous British people (mostly Celtics and Anglo-Saxons) may join. If one considers the BNP currently to be a fascist party (it clearly is a racialist party, but it does not embrace the term fascist), then this is the first time that a British fascist party has won a seat in a parliament. Even Sir Oswald Mosley, a British fascist leader in the 1930s, never accomplished such an election.

Overall in Britain, the governing, scandal-ridden Labour Party collapsed to 16 percent of the vote, with the upstart non-racist but anti-EU United Kingdom Independence Party coming in at 17 percent and the Tories at a barely respectable 27 percent (and that only after last week quitting the right-of-center European People's Party and joining a Czech and Polish Euro-skeptic bloc in the European Parliament).

The UKIP's stated purpose is that the United Kingdom "shall again be governed by laws made to suit its own needs by its own Parliament, which must be directly and solely accountable to the electorate of the UK."

Sunday night, the BNP's Nick Griffin claimed his party's victory as a vindication of the party's claim that "we're here to look after our people because no one else is." He went on to condemn the "liberal elite, which has built a dam, a wall of lies, which has grown ever taller and ever thicker over the years to stop ordinary people protesting about the removal of their freedom." He added, "Well, tonight that wall has been broken down."

In a conventional British election, the Labour Party's collapse would have resulted in a Tory triumph. But in this election, about 1 in 4 Britons did not vote Labour, Tory or Liberal. Rather, they voted for the unprecedented combination of the UKIP's respectable (but, until recently, eccentric) call for the absolute legal sovereignty of Britain and the BNP's disreputable -- but listened-to -- racial and cultural scream.

I warned -- after coming back from extended field research in Europe (yes, drinking was involved) for my 2005 book, "The West's Last Chance" -- that if the respectable political parties did not address the growing, legitimate concern of indigenous Europeans to protect their culture from being overwhelmed, disreputable parties would arise to answer that call.

Now, with last weekend's election, we are beginning to see the breakout of such political impulses. Not all the parties are disreputable. I have met with Geert Wilders, who is a courageous, decent Dutch patriot. He only stepped up to the challenge when, in 2003, as a local official, he made the commonplace observation that Yasser Arafat was a "terrorist leader." This drew a death threat and the subsequent arrest and conviction of a Dutch Muslim, identified as "Farid A.," who warned, "Wilders must be punished with death for his fascistic comments about Islam, Muslims, and the Palestinian cause." To this day, Wilders travels with very heavy Dutch security.

Europe has long experienced single-digit fringe votes of the left and right. But as the hard-edged BNP approaches 10 percent -- and only slightly milder other parties approach 20 percent -- the historically volatile European mix of nationalism and race may be building once again.

IT’S ALL ABOUT ISLAM STUPID KAFIR
IT’S ALL ABOUT ISLAM STUPID KAFIR

OBAMA QUOTES FROM VERSE 5:32 THE TEACHING FROM GOD THAT ORDERS THE MURDER OF 300 MILLION AMERICANS

FOR THE TRUTH ABOUT ISLAM GO TO http://www.godofmoralperfection.net and download ebook or order on Amazon.com paperback titled Islam: Evil In The Name of God.

Before there was Hitler, Mein Kampf and the SS there was Muhammad, the Koran and Muslim SS known as the Companions. Muhammad was the first Hitler.

By equating Christianity, Judaism with Islam, President Obama has placed a happy face on evil.

Obama quoted from Koran; “whosoever killeth a human being, it shall be as if he killed all mankind.”

But this is a TOTAL misrepresentation of Koran 5:32. What this verse states is “whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth..”

“Corruption in the earth” means that kafirs must be murdered for not converting to Islam. By refusing to convert, kafirs have declared war on Allah, are a danger to Islam creating corruption in the land and therefore must be murdered. This means the murder of 300 million Americans who have created corruption in the earth.

All Muslims regard the Koran as the divine book written by God himself. Every word of the Koran of extermination, murder, brutality, torture, beheading , etc is the word of God – divine and timeless. Any person who believes such nonsense is evil.

How could the President who understands Islam quote from a book that orders mass murder of his fellow countrymen?

PVV vs BNP
I don't think that Blankley does anywhere near enough to stress the difference between the respectable mainstream views of the PVV and those of the racist and socialist BNP.

The PVV rightly opposes mainstream Islam's misogyny, homophobia and inability to tolerate diversity or condemn Muslim terrorists. Quite a few TH readers would be disturbed by Wilders strong support for homosexual rights. The PVV suports the European concensus on gender, race and sexuality equality. The PVV has women, gay and ethnic minority MPs. On fiscal policy they are strictly conservative. As a conservative libertarian I would happily vote for the PVV.

The BNP hates Islam because it is the religion of many South Asians, Africans and Arabs and it isn't acceptable to be openly racist the way exactly the same people who make up the BNP leadership were back in the 1970s when they were all in a previous racist socialist party called the National Front. They still hate black and asian people who aren't Muslims. The BNP is homophobic and misogynist. On fiscal policy they want nationalisation of key industries, Autarky, protectionism and a large welfare state (but only for British people). As someone with a French and a Norwegian grandparent I am not sure that the BNP would even consider me British. I would no sooner vote BNP than vote NASDP or Communist.

Perhaps Mr. Blankley can clarify...
.
...just what his "up-and-coming-Nazis" song reference ("Tomorrow Belongs To Me") from "Cabaret" is supposed to imply about Europeans....

Does he REALLY think (it seems so) that, because the recent Euro-wide vote rejected the Socialists so clearly, it is a rise of unbridled Nationalism? RUBBISH.

senses
Finally a few countries are coming to their senses. Please keep stressing that we here in America need to get back to our own senses. The stink is getting worse and we need to stop it, The BO smell is in need of deodorant and disinfectant then flushed.

King Elect O is surely
rejecting the Europeans, both their new rightward voting trends (not only big EU elections but also Germany, France, and Italy, while Eng. is preparing to dump the Labor Party) and their traditional Am. alliances.

YES. TOMORROW BELONGS TO US!
That the BNP may be racist is of secondary importance to the more important issue; the greater threat to the world posed by the danger or Islam. There’s a Muslim saying, “Enemy of my enemy is my friend”: meaning sometimes strange alliances are necessary to achieve the more important objective and the greater good. The Western world is in an undeclared war with Islam. At stake is our very survival. So our most important objective for the security of the free world is the ultimate extermination of Muslims. So if we must, for the greater good, support political parties like the BNP or other neo-fascists to rid the world of dangerous vermin like Muslims, so be it. Desperate situations sometimes require desperate solutions. So YES. Tomorrow DOES belong to us; provided we find leaders with the courage to think the unthinkable.

The real import of the elections
For too long the diversity apologists were able to define the terms of the debate by labelling anyone who didn't buy into their mantra as "racists." Well, the old high school debater's trick didn't work back in high school and it is no longer working in Europe. Respectible political parties can now advocate restrictions on immigration and the subversive activities of muslims who reject assimilation - and garner significant electoral percentages. The current economic collapse also doesn't hurt these parties. People are tired of being told who they have rub shoulders with, who they have to defer to - and now are pushing back. It is something which is long overdue.

Wolfgang writes: “...The current economic collapse also doesn't hurt these parties. People are tired of being told who they have rub shoulders with....”
**************************************
CORRECT! In fact it’s these vermin who contribute to the problems of Western nations as they’re now an economic drain. As to whom we want as neighbors, Nations have a right to maintain their cultural and ethnic identity. This means if we dont want to be infested with Muslims, who aren’t part of our culture, we have the right to exclude them. And if they prove they’re a threat, as they now have, we have the right and responsibility to take more “Extreme” measurers.

Congrats to Europe!
They learned from past mistakes as will we.

Tea Party, Anyone?
Meanwhile, America is heading in the opposite direction.

The EU Had Better Awaken PRONTO!

Bravo on the elections, but the EU had better get with the terror program, which we are moving away from, as well, especially since the Obama Ad. is now Mirandizing enemy combatants on the battlefield.

Terror Aboard Air France?

It seems that two people aboard the doomed Air France flight had names that were well-known to French security because of links to terrorism.

Jean Monnet is dead.
The consolidation of Europe on a gradual march was the great edifice of Jean Monnet.

Will the common market and the European Union that Monnet labored for and indeed birthed, be the staging ground for a revolt against the inclusion and knot tying of the EU and its push for the abandonment of national sovereignty?

One didn’t need to micro examine French farmers and viticulturists invading bullet trains and releasing geese or dumping wine to know that tariffs and their removal would cause distemper amongst agrarians or that loss of national currency for the Euro would cause arrhythmias. These recent votes however are staggering for the notion of the universal charter of the EU, with its all are welcome among all immigration theories.

Europeans, old Europe and unshackled 'new' Europe are furious over Islam in Europe. These are not the gastarbeiters of Willy Brandt's West Germany, these are the Muslim/Islamic takeovers of north Paris and East London and the just washed sidewalks leading into VondelPark.

It will be fascinating to watch if the differences that Monnet sought to bridge between geographies and national identities can survive the 'common' European repulsion of the Mosque and Islam in their towns.

Don't Get Your Hopes Up
Socialism will win out in the long run because it promises something for nothing.

And in this country the so-called watchdog media is on board with the socialists, making the run all the more swift.

Randy
"Before there was Hitler, Mein Kampf and the SS there was Muhammad, the Koran and Muslim SS known as the Companions. Muhammad was the first Hitler."

And before that there was Jesus and the Bible. All the same then you put them side to side. Humans with messiah complexes, a "book" of rules written to keep the sheep in order.

Turnabout African sells Europe downriver
Before even taking office Spud tried to sell out Europe by promising Putin he would not support a missile sheild for Europe. The only reason that didn't occur was because PUTIN made the secret offer public. As long as even a gasp and a grasp at self preservation is called racist by, not the old guard media, but Tony B and others that might have been thought to have a brain cell or two the culture formerly known as Europe is a dead as the druids.

IDOPAS
comparing Jesus to Mohammed and Hitler is just absurd. What book did he write? The "rules" attributed to him are almost exclusively related to a spiritual life. If you beat someone to death with a copy of "the cat in the hat" doesn't make Dr Suess guilty.

not so fast...
Three points, if I may:
1. The Danish People's Party is NOT hard-right. It promotes limitations on immigration from non-western countries and is obviously critical of the laissez-faire of the 90s which brought in a few hundred thousand Arabs (aka "Palestinians") who eventually failed to integrate or contribute to society - on the contrary. In fiscal and social matters the DF are typical Social-Democrats, i.e. for re-distribution of wealth and a huge public sector. So: desillisioned social-democrat, who resent immigrants from the backwatters of the Middle East. (I would never vote for them because of their statism)
2. Even though they now are being heard, none of these parties have a shot in hell at governing or decision making in the EU Parliament. It is a signal, but not a sea change. The governing parties left and right need to pay attention, but their "bipolar disorder" is intact.
3. Islam is a complicated affair. Indeed, its insistance on emulating a 7th cent. tribal war lord in the 21st cent. can spell big trouble. It is not the book, it is this horrendous refusal to adapt to changing times. Both Christians, Jews, Budhists, Shintoists and what have you have done that and the lives of their people have florished. Even Arabic UN researchers have documented that Moslem countries are destitute. Hence the large flow of immigration to welfare states, where Moslems can live by their law, and get fed by the unbelievers. Caution is however in order, because hundreds of thousands of Moslems, in fact entire nations, have known how to adapt to various conditions and develop a Moslem life anyone would approve of. They are, however, silent and ... too few.
