Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

It appears that Barack Obama has survived a tough couple of weeks. In the words of some, he's shown that "he can take a punch."

But, frankly, I think Senator Obama is still getting kid gloves treatment from a press corps that tilts left.

Despite the hounding about his "bitterness" remarks, and the ongoing story of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, there's been hardly 10 seconds of attention about his incredible statement that he wouldn't want his daughters "punished with a baby" if they "make a mistake."

This in a discussion about HIV/AIDS in which he said that contraception should be included alongside of abstinence in sex education.

Regarding his two young daughters, Obama said, "I am going to teach them first about values and morals."

First? What are values and morals if there is a second? Faith, of course, includes forgiveness. But values and morals are absolutes. There is a world of difference between forgiveness and teaching alternative paths.

There have been questions, appropriate questions, about how Barack Obama could have been sitting in the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years and suddenly, today, realize he does not agree with him. How so?

We have a good possible answer here. Religion for Senator Obama is not something too serious. It may satisfy some social needs and provide intellectual and emotional salve. But it doesn't translate into behavioral absolutes.

The arena for addressing life's dilemmas for Obama is politics not religion. So, in this sense, Pastor Wright had it right. His former congregant is first and foremost a politician.

In answering a question about abortion while campaigning in Iowa last year, the always deliberative Obama said: "I think the American people struggle with two principles: There's the principle that the fetus is not just an appendage, it's potential life ... They also believe that women should have some control over their bodies ..."

The fetus is "potential life?"

Shortly after the Supreme Court's decision last year upholding the constitutionality of the ban on partial birth abortions, Obama spoke at a Planned Parenthood conference in Washington, D.C. Condemning the court's decision, he said that it was part of "a concerted effort to steadily roll back" legal abortions.

Criticizing Justice Anthony Kennedy, who wrote the majority opinion in the case, Obama said, "Justice Kennedy knows many things, but my understanding is that he does not know how to be a doctor."

Of course, Kennedy's job is not to be a doctor, but to be a judge. And in doing so, he included in his opinion testimony of a nurse who participated in a partial birth abortion procedure:

"The baby's little fingers were clasping and unclasping, and his little feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors in the back of his head, and the baby's arms jerked out ...The doctor opened up the scissors, stuck a high powered suction tube into the opening, and sucked the baby's brains out ... Now the baby went completely limp. He threw the baby in a pan, along with the placenta, and the instruments he had just used."

Thus the end of what, for Obama, was "potential life."

Nat Hentoff, no conservative, but a libertarian who writes for the "Village Voice,'' calls Obama the "infanticide candidate."

In a recent column, Hentoff noted that, while in the Illinois State Senate, Obama voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This Act addressed cases where, during an abortion procedure, the live infant was actually born. The Act would have banned killing the living child.

Responding to John McCain's remarks delivered the other day at Wake Forest University about law and judges, Obama contrasted McCain's pledge of "judicial constraint" with his own concept of legal activism.

Obama said he'd seek out judges "who are sympathetic to those who are on the outside, those who are vulnerable, those who are powerless."

Aside from this bizarre idea about the role of law, what irony there is in hearing this from a man with zero empathy for our most vulnerable -- the helpless infant in the womb.

For the 90 percent of blacks who are casting votes for Obama, know that almost 50 million children have been aborted since Roe V. Wade in 1973, a third of which were black babies. Is this really the man whom our community needs?

Good article. I appreciate you pointing out Obama support of late term abortions. I've commented about how Obama supports killing babies that survive an abortion; undoubtedly the liberal dimwits dismissed it........

"In 2002, the Illinois State Legislature passed the Infant Liability Act to outlaw the inhumane practice of infanticide. There was never a thought that this bill would be opposed. However, Obama opposed it on two different occasions – first by trying to limit discussion and then trying to block a vote on it in the committee he chaired."

http://www.therealitycheck.org/2008/03/08/barack-hussein-ob ama-refused-i-did-not-want-to-concede/

Only a subhuman could support such depravity as killing a baby that survives an abortion. Obama is a maggot; utterly unqualified to be President.

Having issues with compter, testing to see if I can post anything.

the answers are there...
"For the 90 percent of blacks who are casting votes for Obama, know that almost 50 million children have been aborted since Roe V. Wade in 1973, a third of which were black babies. Is this really the man whom our community needs?"
There is a place in the Bible where Jesus is admonishing his disciples for chasing the children away from him, Jesus looks at the children and tells them to leave the children alone, to let them come to him, "for such is the kingdom of heaven. 50 million and counting. Lots of little angels, how many more will we have stolen from us??....

BO did not denounce Wright until Wright made one statement at the NP meeting. Wright said, If Obama is elected I will go after him. It seems to me that BO, once elected, will be too white for the hate mongers. He will be attacked by all sides and the little Missus will not stand for BO to do anything but cow tow to them. I hope people wake up, but I don't think it will happen. To many have been turned into non feeling zombies.

I am tired of this stuff

Is Obama really the man blacks need?
By Star Parker
----------

Why you address supposedly American citizens by the color of their skin?

Pretty racist stuff here, and for me, I am sick of it all.

How about what is good for all Americans?
That thought ever cross you black folks mind?
We supposed to view black skin as a special interest group now?

90 percent voting for Obama just because he shares their skin tone, it as racist as it can get.
So take your racist arguments and stick em

The Harshness of Poster
Star wrote a brilliant column, I don't agree with all of it, but she made some good points.
The previous Poster's on the other hand, kinda got me thinking what if there mother's had aborted them? We wouldn't have had to be graced with their baseless drivel.

All Sen. McCain needs to do
is find a half-decent darkly pigmented female to run for VP, and he'll win easily, seemingly.

Second
"First? What are values and morals if there is a second?"

How about math and science?

Abortion
He doesn't want his daughter to be punished by a baby. Since when is a baby a punishment. Of course Obama ...go ahead and kill your first Grandchild.

Sound like electability to me: she's bright, well-spoken, can identify with the "blue-collar" voters, safely Christian, and young.

Good morning to all!
I have a new series of posts I will be doing at my blog, Fountain Abbey, this week that I think all of you will enjoy.

Hope to see all of you there!

Abortion is a horrible
act that must be addressed by a civilized society. It cannot continue if we are even to call ourselves civilized.

Still, I must agree with talent scout. Why are we still addressin issues by skin pigment? Are we not Americans? I'm sick of the BS that leads one to believe that then need someone of their ethnicity to be their political leaders. Are we to all move to specially disignated areas of the country so as to create districts where one can "feel" comfortable having people only like them around?

If so, where do I go to find the Czech, Danish, Irish, French, German neighborhood. I guess I can't live with my children because they also include Armenian and Spanish blood. STOP THE INSANITY!!!

really??? kid gloves???
so obama is still getting hit with kid gloves by the left leaning press. what a crock... for 2 on e half wweeks all you heard were every odd unusual. thing he has done since he was 4 years old. every friewnship was disssectied, and those who was supposedly friend with was dissected back to his childhood. if he went to the toilet and forgo toput the seat down for the ladies., headlines screamed the next day about his anti femenist feelings. your article is silly in a monty python sense. if you can erase it please do.,

uneasy ride
what????? What??????? dont the 88 per cent get a vote in this years election.?? i assunme that if they do and if they vote for barack that he will represent them just like white presidents have supposedly repe=resented the 12 per cent minority of black people. god i feel stupid whenimthink a letter like this seems to be necessary even for the one person represened )I hope) by the writer

The Bradley effect?
When Tom Bradley lost the California governors race to George Deukmejian, after leading in the polls, the term "The Bradley effect" was born. It is used in conjunction with minority candidate who lead in polls but lose the election. It is thought that when being polled, a person will say one thing, apparently concerned about being thought a racist, but when in the polling booth, do something completely different. Some attribute this racism.

From my perspective, generally speaking, blacks cannot be considered interested in the real issues that face America until they stop voting in monolithic fashion for the Democratic pary that enslaves them.

Zero empathy
Obama's words reveal his lack of belief in the Bible which is the foundation of all faith in God. He has "zero empathy" for the unborn because he does not truly believe that
God is Creator of life. He needs to be evaluated on this basis. Also those who call them conservatives must be more aware of the subtle changes to the meanings of words. "Values and morals" do not have the same meanings as "virtue" and "absolute". The absolute of virtue which can only come from God
does not reside in Obama's mind and heart. He is more a relativist than an "elitest". But he is definitely a hypocrite.

Middle of the road position.
Obama assumed a middle of the road stance on the issue of abortion, and his views are consistent with a majority of Americans. You can parse his words to twist the central point which is that we need to find a way to continue to provide women, not politicians, or the far right from taking us back to the dark days of basement abortions, and to respect a women's freedom to make the choice about her own body.

At the same time we need to prevent abortions and that best way to do that is to educate and have contraception made freely available.

You want fewer abortions, support sex education and contraception. That is what Obama was saying and he is right.

We can find common ground on this issue if we can do something about the extremists on both sides of the political spectrum. They are both in their own way contributing to more abortions.

Thanks Star
for reminding people of the views Obama holds regarding life of the almost born and accidently born babies. If he holds life in such contempt, I as a senior citizen, will probably be one of the next not to merit life saving care.

mrbmrb
Do you have "spell check" - or do you even bother to proof read your comments before you hit "Submit"?

I do know
Obama is one slick talker. The question should be "Does America need a slick talker?"

Is Obama the man?
I find it most amusing the Ms Parker is asking the question to the Black community. There is a smart driven accomplished brother and Ms Parker can do nothing but tear him down. She questions his values and his faith? She talks about the Black chirch ilke it is suppose to be a rally for this country. The Black church and pastors like Rev Wright preach to the broke and about injustice.

What church does she attend, a Black church in the Black community. Does she look to see what the church did for the community it served.

I understand she is a conservative and she can't bite the hand that feeds her. But please she does not represent the BLACK community.

Star Parker and Race
To the posters that were offended about the article because of race(talent scout, hitler)...you need to relax. Star was arguing against the point of how Obama is good for African-Americans. This notion is being pushed by the media; she was just making a case against that.

Star Bright?
Is the abortion issue a reasonable wedge issue to toss at the black community? Well if it doesn't stick I guess you can try gay marriage.

Sen. Obama is a bright, honest, thinking man of mixed ancestry. He believes in a woman's right to choose.

Republicans have been very successful at bringing these emotional issues to bear on campaigns in the past, to the exclusion of many other critical concerns. And it never ceases to amaze me at how many people will vote against their own self-interest based on these narrow issues.

While I can't imagine a justification for abortion, I'm not so naive not to recognize the "burden and blessing" an unplanned for child can be. But, I also can't find justification for the death penalty which seems to be no problem for many on the right.

In the end all candidates represent trade offs. And I would rather vote for one that has the interests of common folk at the forefront, rather than one who prioritizes the wealthy and privileged.

Christian Hypocrites
Why, like Obama, go to church on Sunday if you don't respect life? My reading of Christianity and Jewish theology focuses on the commandment, Thou Shalt Not Kill. If you support the killing of unborn babies maybe you don't belong in church because that commandment is one of the pillars of both Judaism and Christianity.

It's perfectly understandable that Obama attended his churcb because he wanted street cred with the African American community. Obviously, many, like Obama, want to be able to cherry pick the principles of Christianity that they will support. Church-going then just becomes a political prop for an aspiring, ethics-challenged politician. One is reminded of sociopath Bill Clinton carrying a Bible on Sunday when he was president.

cabobby STILL doesn't get it!
Why do blacks need to have someone represent THEM? Why is there still a "BLACK community"? As I asked above, do I need someone from the "Czech, Danish, Irish, French, German" community to represent me? This wholesale separation of blacks from the rest of society is ludicrous!

Like I said in another post above, when blacks STOP being a monolithic voting block and vote for the best interests of America, and not their own personal wants/needs, THEN, and only THEN, will they diplay that they have matured beyond the 2-year-old "ME" phase that toddlers go through.

Really dapperzapper?
You state:
"And it never ceases to amaze me at how many people will vote against their own self-interest based on these narrow issues."

Do you REALLY think this is what is happening in the US? In truth, it is the opposite that is occurring. It is the reason we are in such dire straits! What we have is a bunch of lazy louts voting for Democrats so the can continue to live off government largesse.

And then you trot out this gem:
"And I would rather vote for one that has the interests of common folk at the forefront, rather than one who prioritizes the wealthy and privileged."

That BS argument is so old that only ones who still cling to it are either yellow dog democrats or the under 25 numbskulls who haven't have the reality of life slap them in the face yet. I don't know which one you are, but I'm confident you're one of the two.

Frog
Well said.I can't wait for a congressional hispanic caucus.

JM051
There is nothing middle of the road about supporting partial birth abortion, and killing a baby that survives an abortion attempt. If you want Obama for president go vote for him, but don't ruin my breakfast with nonsense and/or lies.

jax33, great point!
Blacks will soon (if they haven't already) become the second largest minority voting block. Hispanics will demand their seat at the table. The difference between the two, though, is Hispanic is a general term for Spanish speaking people and do not represent a monolithic voting block typical of black voters.

I grew up in SoCal and virtually all my good friends growing up were Mexican. I consider it my honorary ethnicity :). My friends, and many of the Mexicans I came to know, are on opposite sides of the social issues the Democrats champion. Most of the Americans of Cuban descent that I know are very conservative.

Still it will be interesting to see how blacks deal with being relegated to the ash heap by the Democrats once the Democrats realize that Hispanic voters represent a larger voting block. The "what have you done for me lately" crowd just might jump ship!

The vote is too precious a thing...
to be wasted on many Americans. How many voters study the candidates? How many voters study the issues?

Voting has become a popularity contest where a charming candidate can win the vote of the many ignorant voters.

It is little wonder that democracies crumble considering how little effort many voters commit to casting an intelligent ballot. The privilege of voting should be earned not a birth right. The privilege to vote should not be given to any person that receives federal money of any kind. In my opinion the best ballot we could have is a blank sheet of paper on which the voter would write the candidate's name, correctly spelled and legible.

What kind of electoral process would we have if my ideas were adopted? Surely, it couldn't be any worse than the current circus.

The Relevancy of the Vulnerable
We have a party in this country that protects the rights of terrorists who want to see the end of our society, as well as criminals within our system who choose to brutally murder our citizens.

These fellow citizens protect the lives of those who use their free will to terrorize and kill, from waterboarding and execution by injection. They have no problem giving less protection to unborn babies and they call themselves compassionate and civilized? Pregnant women used their free will to practice unprotected sex(cases of rape, excluded) and to carry that baby to term is a punishment? Doesn't that unborn baby suffer a punishment? Far more inhumane I suspect compared to a woman delivering a baby and adopting it out to the many families who cannot conceive.

What is wrong with a party that gives more rights and protection to terrorists, killers, rapists, trees and animals than to developed unborn babies? Everything and Barak Obama has time and time again proved that he supports this belief and the policies that will make it law.

An Obama Nation would be an abomination
Who is more helpless and more in need of protection by a judge than that little just born baby laying on a table about to be stabbed in the brain by a butcher who claims to be a doctor. The crap about "the health of the mother" is just that -- crap. The exception allows possible depression, ennuii, or embarassment as psychological "heath factors". Only to save the mother from death or severe physical injury should abortion be considered. In those cases and those cases alone. This is only a racial issue in the sense how you decide might indicate whether you deserve to be considered part of the "human" race.

single subject voters
People often accuse me of being a single issue voter when it comes to the subject of abortion. I, OTOH, cannot understand how anyone can justify the killing of the most innocent of our citizens as an excuse for responsibility.

Obama/Wright - Users
Obama and Wright have both used Trinity Church to advance their personal agendas. It appears that faith has little to do with their association with Trinity and their bond with one another. Wright and Obama have similiar backgrounds. Both are mixed, both raised in mixed neighborhoods and both attended exclusive, primarily white schools where they both excelled. Wright now lives in an exclusive all white neighborhood, not in the neighborhood of one of his congregants or even in a mixed neighborhood. Both were comfortable in a white world but needed a Black Church to ensure their futures. Wright was able to gain national status and wealth and Obama was able to build a black base for his rising political career. Their bond is probably why he did not reject Wright initially and did not do no until he first was rejected by Wright.

Even though she has done well, Michelle Obama is probably the one who relates more to the congregation in terms of past oppression, feelings of being disenfranchised and probably a past victim of subtle discrimination. I would suggest this is why her speeches reflect doom and gloom about America.

Whatever his motives, how Obama has handled his relationship with Trinity and with Wright are indicative of how he might handle much more significant issues facing Americans - does this bode well for America?

Obama learning
I don't think it's so much that Obama has shown he can take a punch, but that he is learning lessons from the Clintons.

Their mantra has always been, "Deny, deny, deny" and then "Ignore, ignore, ignore."

He found that denying Rev. Wright wasn't working, so he made a few nice-nice statements and the just ignored the whole rotten mess.

I think he is driven by a distant calling that has no connection with the United States so he will just continue to spread the bull and tell himself that he is the second coming of Muhammed and will lead us out of desperation - right into the mouths of the Islamic terrorists.

THE LIFE AT CONCEPTION ACT

....STAR ...

.....Congressman Steve King of Iowa, working with the NATIONAL PRO-LIFE ALLIANCE, is gathering signatures to petition Congress to pass THE LIFE AT CONCEPTION ACT ...

.....This ACT if passed, would declare unborn children "persons" as defined by the 14TH Amendment and thus entitled to legal protection ...

.....Never once did the Supreme Court declare abortion itself to be a Constitutional right ...Instead the Court said: "We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins ...the judiciary at this point in the development of man's knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer". ...

.....Then the High Court made a key admission: "If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case, (i.e., "ROE" who sought an abortion), of course, collapses, FOR THE FETUS' RIGHT TO LIFE IS THEN GUARANTEED SPECIFICALLY BY THE 14TH AMENDMENT." ...

.....So all that is required to overturn the abomination of ROE is that Congress pass a LAW declaring that life begins at conception .....COLOSSUS

Interesting point, Bren Tatum
Bren Tatum writes:

Apparently, how one answers this question depends on your political affilition. For some, it appears that the truth is of no concern when it comes to pushing their agenda. That goes for both left and right. In this situation, I've heard some liberal pundits say they will vote for Obama because they like the leadership he has shown in handling this situation.

(shaking my head in sad dismay) Some people just never seem to get it. Sigh.

KL, the reason it appears
that the right has become "mad" is because we just can't understand how seemingly intelligent people can be so gosh darn ignorant? I mean, what does it take for you to recognize your position and your leaders are idiots he!! bent on destroying what makes this country great? Sometimes I feel like I want to bang my head against the wall. Better yet, let me bang your head against the wall. Maybe it would knock some sense into you. Sheesh!

Star is RIGHT On
I for one agree with Star. One other thing I don't think anyone is talking about and it makes we wonder if anyone out there ever thinks thing through.

Obama wants to bring our troops home. We read where hard criminals are now allowed in our armed service. Now lets look at the world.

Who protects the countries like IRAN, CHINA, RUSSA, etc? It is the military THEY have built up. A military that is trained to PROTECT the politician and keep the people under control. Now why do you think Obama and Clinton want to bring our military home, why are they allowing the recruitment of crimminals into the military? If either one should become President and the Democratic Congress is still in control and the President is Commander in Chief, who do you think they will train the military to protect against the citizens of this country. Oh they will get all of those who support this country and their families out of the military and keep the harden criminals, who would sell out their own to save their skin and then American is done. We all become slaves and as far as children go, well only those in control will be allowed to give birth.

America you better be more thoughtful about what is happening around you and what the government is doing and the media not printing. It will be hell in America if we don't wake up. And yes GOD is watching.

Partial birth abortion
An Ob-Gyn colleague of mine told me that there was no medical or obstetrical indication (acceptable reason) for a partial birth abortion. I have read that there is no situation where such a procedure would be needed to save the life or health of the mother.
As to destruction of the baby due to fatal defects in the baby-that is an entirely different matter, but brings up the question of mercy killing. That also raises concerns about execution of the innocent for the benefit of the economy.
Donald W. Bales. M.D. retired internist

King Liberal
Its not much consolation, since my belief is that neither Obama nor McCain will make a decent president, but one of you guys is going to be disappointed in November. Within a year, i predict the other will be just as po'ed at his "dream" candidate, as my Catholic friends were with JFK (approval rating low 30's when assassinated) and as i am with the Bushies.

Joy
", why are they allowing the recruitment of crimminals into the military? "

---

Are you sober? Neither Obama nor clinton get to decide who is admitted into the military. they are just running for office, they haven't been elected anything.

The policy we already have that lets people with criminal records into the military has already been established by Bush's defense department, with Bush's blessings.

Bren Tatum writes

I think it's interesting that TH posters and columnists have been busy sucking their teeth over Rev Wright, while McCain's campaign is being run by a guy who lobbied for the Myanmar military junta = yeah, the one who is starving it's own people - but, hey, if you're a conservative words seem to be worse than actions.

RIGHTS
referring to a women’s right to CHOOSE abortion/murder. Because, women do have the right to choose, it was before they opened their legs, that was where they failed to make a choice between responsibility of actions i.e. birth control or maybe, “morality”. But by being irresponsible and using abortion as the solution, makes it nothing more than another form of birth control. But it is their right, say them. What right is that, I ask? To act immorally, to be irresponsible, to kill, just what right is it they are talking about??? Tell me which Amendment covers that right, there isn’t one! Again, the dumbing down of the people by liberal agendas that devalue human life and dignity. We ALL do have the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not free sex fueled by self-indulging lust and carnal pleasure. Political correctness describes this heinous action as a “choice”, semantics minimizes the act by implying it’s ALL about a “choice

I am very sober
Maybe its Bush's defense dept., but Obama and Clinton are in the Senate and you hear nothing from either of them on this issue. Remember it is Congress who sets the LAWS and who sits on the Military Board that are from Congress, who recommends issues before Congress, Harry Reid, Democrat.

Give me a break, you are one of the problems this nation faces when you refuse to view issues and only look at a reason to shoot it down. I gave you something to think about and all you can do is ask if I am sober??????????

One More Single Issue Voter
Yes, abortion is my single issue. Why would I vote for someone with no respect for human life?
Actually, I'm concerned about many other issues as well, but I will not knowingly support an abortion proponent.
I can't believe that one of the commenters actually said Obama is "middle of the road". It just proves that people don't study candidates' track records.
Perhaps Star could have written an article about whether BO is what America needs, but no other group is voting 90% for ANY candidate. No other group or candidate has demonstrated that type of misguided solidarity.
Unless conservatives wake up and get to the polls, the next POTUS will be BO, and the next First Lady will be the very angry MO.

What credibility?

Obama initially claimed no nowledge of Rev. Wrights extreme positions.

Then he claimed that he was not in church on those "key" Sundays.

Finally, he repudiated Wright's views... but not the man himself.

But to have us believe that he had never once leafed through Wright's "Trumpet" magazine, consistently filled with his hate and bigotry... simply goes beyond the ridiculous.

And all while seeing fit to stay at Wright's church for over 20 years?

Right.

I would love to have the opportunity to vote for POTUS any qualified person who happens to be black...

...but NOT this man.

I think think_4_yourself asked if you were sober because your post was so ridiculous I had to read it three times, I also couldn't believe anyone would say that if they were sober or straightor even sane.

Your fantasy that Obama/Clinton have created an army of criminals (our GIs in Iraq should appreciate that statement) so they can bring them home to support a despotic regime is the silliest thing I have read on TH since last week when Talent Scout said that gays should be publiicly tortured to death.

You also seem to think that they managed to create this ominous army of theives, murderers and thugs by not protesting when the defense department changed the rules in order to enlist them. Well, what does that say about all of the conservatives who actually supported that decision?

I listened to a radio interview yesterday with one of those military thugs you are so afraid of - he has lost both his legs, his wife has left him, and he hasn't learned to walk yet because he was set back by a flesh-eating bacteria.

One of Obama's goons, no doubt.

Star Parker and Race
To the posters that were offended about the article because of race(talent scout, hitler)...you need to relax. Star was arguing against the point of how Obama is good for African-Americans. This notion is being pushed by the media; she was just making a case against that.
----

And Star is here making their point for them, as she accepts the very premise by accepting it as a basis for her arguments.

I am tired of hearing what is good for blacks in America as if they are a special interest group that deserves special attention.

They do not deserve any more attention than any other citizen, and need to stop with their own racist views and thought outside of their own skin tone for the good of us all.

Blacks are said to be voting for Obama up to 90 percent.
Simply cause his skin is black like theirs.
That is as racist as it gets

joy
"Remember it is Congress who sets the LAWS"

Expanding enlistment regulations to include people with criminal records is not a LAW, go read a textbook.

Further, it was mostly dems who were critical of this decision.

Obama is only a charming Marxist
Blacks want to live on the liberal plantation even though it has all but destroyed their family structures, increased crime higher than any time in their history, and kept them ignorant and violent.

The majority of blacks want a life free of consequences for their choices and behaviors. The majority of them want a black who will explain away their self-destructive and impulse-driven living, one who will justify their physical and racist attacks on people of other races, and one who will readily hand out money from tax coffers when their endless social programs predictably fail.

They want to play the lawsuit lottery no matter how much it destroys jobs and hurts others.

This is what over 90% of blacks want. A "payback brutha", a sixties throwback black man for president who will give them the proverbial lash that they so desire.

And life on the porch will be so much easier.

Whats more
Is there are millions of sexist white women all across America voting for Hilliary simple because she is a woman.

The Democrats have reduced themselves to being the very thing they shout and scream bloody murder about if a white man was supported due to his skin color, or if simply because he is a male.

This is how stupid this country has now become today in our politics.

Nothing is real about any of the people running for office, and shows how shallow this entire nation is in todays politics.

I find it all embarrassing to believe any of the people running for President have found such backing into the millions for each.

The Dark Ages held more enlightenment than todays American and world Politics.

I have sons in the military and they would get out rather then protect a bunch of thugs who want to take over this Nation. Our boys would die for this Country, They will not die to protect a communist thug. I stand by what I said.

Whats the matter, afraid to think it over and maybe see what can happen if this country keeps going the way it is. You do know the Democrats are in control of Congress, not the President, and they make up the rule of laws don't you? How much more can you take of them?

If people who are opposed to abortion, gun control, illegal immigration and other important issues woke up and voted AGAINST any candidate who supported these issues, we wouldn't be seeing the ridiculous candidates succeeding as we do.

Talk about single issue voters - what about people who are opposed to the things I mentioned above but choose BO because of the war in Iraq. Is that not a single issue? Why are these folks opposed to Iraq but think nothing of killing REAL innocents - aborted babies?

Babies today, who's next?
If the central government authority becomes the manager of "universal healthcare" as Obama wants, serious rationing is certain. Rationing always forces some unpleasant choices. In that context, there's not much of a leap from being "punished with a baby" to being "punished with a sick senior citizen."

Think about it.

If B huissein obama isn't getting special treatment from the media why hasn't there been more investigation into his connectioins with ayers, wright and reszko.

Why notg also tell us how you dismiss his connection with dorothy tillman. Tillman was an early supporter of b. hussein's while serving on the chicago city council. She was finally thrown outr of office for corruption by b. hussein remains a strong supporter of tillman's.

But what is more disturbing is tillman's embrace of slavery reparations. Does b. hussein also support tillman's view that blacks are owed repartations. Assuning you might be white are you in favor of tax dollars being paid to blacks living today who were never slaves by white persons living today who had no connection with slavery. Butg worse still what of those from asia who were not present in america who would likewise be taxes to pay for something their ancestors played no part in

>>...almost 50 million children have been aborted since Roe V. Wade in 1973, a third of which were black babies.

You use "which" (which is a pronoun describing a thing, not a person) as opposed to "whom" (a pronoun which refers to human beings).

While in agreement with your comments, when you're arguing in favor of allowing babies to survive a successful birth, the baby is a person, ie, a "whom [he or she]," not a "which [it]."

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like those who are professional writers should have a firm grasp of grammar... unless it's a pro-abortion lib, to which [intentional: not an error] a baby might well be considered an "it," as I refer to pro-abortion (and infanticide for babies born alive) liberals.

Obama, to those who have read up on him, is unfit to serve as president for a number of reasons. This is just one of them.

I have a "side bet" on Hillary (knowing that she won't win unless by unsavory methods) staying in the race long enough to communicate to democrats that Obama is NOT a Muslim, but a communist.

Sorry, libs: I know that you have been denied the details of this unless you read conservative websites, which expose such things as his surrogate father, a pro-communist, anti-American member of the Communist Party-USA, during his formative years in Hawaii; "Frank" in O's book "Dreams of My Father," whose full name is Frank Marshall Davis.

Please Google before calling me names, the traditional lib way of beginning an argument...while losing the argument at this point. Of course, guilty bystanders might not understand this degree of "nuance"...but you have to be a lib to miss it!

You Da-- Right it Bothers Me
It does bother me that some Republicans are so far gone they can't find their a-- with both hands, just like the Democrats.

But at the same time, McCain still believes in the Constitution and the American PEOPLE and stand up for our rights and he does NOT keep shouting racial at every stop.

We do not have a Regan in office, so we take the next best thing and that is someone who believes in the Constitution and will appoint judges who also live by the Constitution and not what some people want, just because they think they deserve it.

I still do not want criminals in our military that are harden criminals that would sell out their own to protect themselves. Our military are a proud bunch and they should be the ones speaking out. I stand corrected unless proven otherwise. Hope that will not be to late for all Americans. At least I am willing to discuss the posibilities and look at your side of the issue, one can only make sound decisions when they have to exercise their brain and not just their mouth.

Chris Matthews Noted This
Nice article.

For what it's worth, her's a link to an article by an Illinois nurse who was scheduled to testify at an Illinois Senate committee hearing on this issue. The committe was chaired by Obama.

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51121

The morning after the Pennsylvania, Chris Matthews (who's completely in the tank for Obama) was part of a panel on MSNBC. When questioned by others on the panel about why Obama did so poorly with Pennsylvania Catholics, Matthews solemnly said that more than anything else--even beyond Wright and Bittergate--Obama's comment about his daughters being "punished with a child" so offended the belief in the "sanctity of life" that the comment had Catholic voters sprinting to the polls to vote for Clinton.

If I were the GOP, I'd get a copy of that footage and run it every day until the election. There's too much to dislike about Obama, but he's a ghoul when it comes to partial-birth abortion. I suspect that Hillary didn't want to play this up, but I bet it gets unleashed in time for the Fourth of July.

Why Is It...
...that in virtually any state in the union, if you murder a pregnant woman (who is on her way to get an abortion), and the baby doesn't survive, you are immediately charged with double homicide?

But if that woman had gotten to the abortion clinic and had the baby killed, she wouldn't be charged with anything other than the price of the procedure, and the attending physician would legally make a few bucks for ending the baby's life.

As Spock would say, "That's not logical."

End of Life
Universal healthcare will require guidelines for who qualifies for care or in this discussion, life. Who lives or dies will need to be defined by the state if the state is fitting the bill. If there is little regard for those at the beginning of life, why would anyone believe that some day you will be told that your spouse, parent, child or self must be "helped along" for a more expedient death, as required by the state guidelines? Slippery slope folks, slippery slope.

McCain the Liberal, gags me
McCain points to his long pro-life record, but his campaign-finance crusade included a years-long effort to suppress the pro-life message, and he supported government funding of stem-cell research that called for destroying human embryos. He claims to be for small government but he contemplates government regulation of everything from light bulbs to professional sports, even as his immigration proposals would crush state health-care and education budgets. While some of McCain’s supporters claim he has consistently opposed tax increases, his Kyoto-style proposal on global warming would actually result in the most enormous tax-increase in American history (while doing little, if anything, about climate change); and, relatedly, though McCain now says he supports making the Bush tax cuts permanent, he was one of their most vigorous opponents.
This is an excerpt by Andrew C. McCarthy it is an excellent article from NRO check it out

Appallingly lazy intellect
jimmis - I don't think Obama is evil. I believe he is just disadvantaged with an appallingly lazy intellect.

His "punished with a baby" remark reveals a nonchalance toward the sanctity of human life. My point is that if this attitude is extrapolated to his "universal healthcare" scheme, then other forms of "inconvenient" human life -- especially ailing seniors -- may well suffer the same fate as unwanted babies.

Obama seems unable to think through anything with any depth. He's not exactly leadership material.

Mashkiki
The end of life is pretty obvious- life ends when all cellular functions cease.

Obama is a Muslim Snake
I think if he was available the Democrats would have run Osama Bin Laden. They definitely settled for an ideological Muslim apostate in Obama. Only the ignorant would vote for this stealth Muslim as he and his wife are angry anti-Americans. In fact, I do not consider Obama and his wife as Americans. Obama is the worst candidate ever selected for our Presidency. He should be impeached from the Senate because of his connections to Muslim terror, Criminals, Mass Murderers and terrorists. Character matters and its judged by the company he keeps. Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are.

The Democrat party has evolved to a Muslim terrorist supporting Party. The party overall is EVIL! in action and words.

Mark my words, the Democrat Party will be known outwardly as the Muslim party someday.

GnuCarSmell
Your characterization of Obama as having an "Appallingly Lazy Intellect" is well-said. I have often thought the kindest thing I could say about him is he might be naive.

The scary thing is to dismiss any alternative and accept 'naivety' as the real explanation.

Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.

Abortions
What are they saying that 30% of abortions are from blacks, Hell if they stopped abortions then that would probably make 9 out of 10 black
babies born today without a BLACK FATHER. I think if OBLAHMA wants to convince people about his policy on abortions he should try and convince his black folks about becoming good BLACK PARENTS FIRST.

Charming marxist, indeed.

The pro from dover, reply #60.

As much as your post left a bad after-taste and as much as I was trying to disagree with it... I could not.

And that Obama openly and willingly caters to the destructive weaknesses of his own people, that is simply apalling. Talk about... yes, a self-serving opportunist.

I also would certainly not include all blacks in your description of the liberal plantation mentality.

But tragically, way too many of them are secuded by it... and then fall for it.

Thank you Star!

Obama makes me sick because he is a typical ambitious power and money hungry politician, but his stance on abortion leads me to conclude that he one of the stupidest and/or most evil of candidates.

The wife is unbelievably arrogant and self centered. Her poor me speeches are ridiculous.

I don't care what you look like or where you come from. It is your moral fiber and that alone is what really counts, which this plastic couple appears to lack.

Leave it to the Democrats to find "Bill and Hillary" juniors.

Abortion Support?
The Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973 has been one of the greatest hoaxes perpetrated upon the American people in our history! If anyone knows ANYTHING at all about Constitutional law, lesson 101 would be the Supreme Court has NO policing powers to enforce its own rulings. These rulings are interpretive, not legislative! Supreme Court rulings can only be backed up with the policing powers of the EXECUTIVE branch! The fact that Roe vs. Wade became the law of the land can be laid directly at the feet of a Republican Administration, Nixon's!

New Obama Parody

Kimberly
So, using your logic, any Liberal who is pro-choice (abortion) and anti-war is in a hypocritical moral fight about killing innocents?

Incidentally Kimberly
You can parse the bottom line any way you want to. I would ask you to look at what the effect of 'choice' really is.

IMHO CHOICE ended when pregnancy began. And, if an unborn child is not an 'innocent life' what is??

Obama and Infanticide
Anyone who votes to kill a baby that survives an abortion is 1)a sub-human and 2) should be shunned by society. Imagine the lives of my two little girls in this psychos hands. I bet if he was forced to watch a "late-term abortion" (I call it murder, but those "are just words" in Obama-land) he would never vote the way he does. Lets hope this man doesn't get elected if only for the judges we would be preventing from getting behind the bench and enforcing insane ideas such as infanticide. Liberals are always for the "little guy". except when the "little guy" is a baby in someones womb.

Roe Vs. Wade
I love the "right to choose" argument. We don't support killing babies, but we do support the "right of a woman to choose". Well that women (and man) had many choices leading up to hgetting pregenant. The choice to continue to disrobe. The choice to have sex. The choice to have unporotected sex and many others. Only after it all doesn't work out do women want the ability to have another "choice": To kill the baby growing inside them. That is sad and sick. A society is ultimately judged on how it treats the most vulnerable people and Liberals in America have shown that they don't mind having the babies brains sucked out and the baby discarded like trash.

Stop Talking About Race
You people talk about Race like Joseph Goebel Talked about Jews. Propaganda at it's worst.
Before judging other people you need to look in the mirror. Unsuccessful people have a tendency to blame/hate other people for the quality of their life (Blacks and Whites). Why is majority of Racist in America Lower Middle Class or Poor (People that make under $50,000 a year)? It's easy to blame others for your shortcomings.

News to me!
Thanks for DR for post #98 and revealing the lunacy of the left. Now anyone making less than $50k is poor? Just another way talk about all those poverty stricken people and how they need more of Big Brother, right?

It reminds me of an old SNL gag where Dan Akroyd portrayed Jimuh Cahtah, then POTUS. He talked about not wanting to curb inflation so everyone could smoke $75 cigars and drive $100k cars. The ignorance of the left knows no bounds.

BIGbelly -- wouldna mattered
"The previous Poster's on the other hand, kinda got me thinking what if there mother's had aborted them? We wouldn't have had to be graced with their baseless drivel."

Don't worry, there's more where that came from!!

Actually, about 65% of Ams.
want restrictions like the banning of partial birth abortion (or the Congress would never have been able to pass the leg. twice; Clinton would not sign the first leg. success) and over 75% think abortion is not a preferable choice for solving sexual missteps.
Regardless, Obama has shown himself on all issues to belong to the most extreme leftist radicalism of the Dem. Party. He is rated more radical than anyone other Dem. including Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, Pelosi, or Reid. He is in a class by himself for supporting leftist ideas, not that he votes them all the time. His most common vote is *present* so he isn't on record for many votes.
He is the head of a subcommittee in the Senate that the Dems. gifted him which he has never convened to a meeting. A person so irresponsible and negligient is not pres. calibre.
Of the two Dem. candidates, much as I dislike Hillary Clinton, she is a far superior candidate for the Dems. than Barack Obama who is an inexperienced teen-aged mutant invention out of the corruuption of Chic. politics and a lazy press that has never bothered to look up his terrorist and extremist friends and influences.

re: Kimberly
First of all, my opinion on abortion is that it's not something that should be subject to federal laws. The second point about abortion if you support somebody's ability to choose murder and they commit murder and support that decision you are an accessory before the fact to the crime of murder. In the case of abortion of you support a woman's ability to choose to abort her unborn child and women have abortions then you are an accessory before the fact to the murder of an unborn child. It's a pretty cut and dried case. You support that choice then you support the consequences of that choice which are the killing of a human being. There is a valid argument with regards to the health of the mother or in cases of rape or incest but that's pretty much the limit to such arguments in my opinion. The rest is just an attempt for the "pro choice" crowd to convince themselves they don't support the murder of 50 million human beings every year. You can try to justify it but you support it and that makes it blood on your hands.

JM051
Like Savage99, my stomach became upset reading this post. A middle of the road position? Egad!

If we just use gestation period as a rough approximation of moderation, then an extreme abortion supporter would allow mothers to kill children up until nine months old? That would put Barak right in the middle at only 1 day old or less. At least I suppose this might be his position based on utterances. Perhaps he believes in uncontrolled infanticide up until age 5 but, is only pretending to be a moderate on this issue. You ever think of that JM051?

Kimberly's pro-killing anti-security ...
rant in post #91 is shows the idiocy of the left. First she tries to say the right has twisted terms like pro-abortion and that no one really wants abortions, but that it's all about "choice". As if "choosing" to kill an unborn child isn't really killing at all. Really, it's just another choice.

Then she turns right around starts talking about "pro war" people being in denial if they're against abortion. Well, Kimberly, I don't know anyone that actually wants war, but there are adults that realize it is sometimes necessary. Really, contrary to what they at Rainbow University, there are things that are worth fighting and dying for.

In leftist speak, nothing is right or
wrong. There are only *good* choices and *bad* choices. Anyone who's ever been vaguely associated with our dying, liberal pub. school systems has heard the non-judgmental gibberings of social workers and counselors schooled in never acutally stating an opinion or making a real decision in their lives.
If a student chooses drugs, perhaps that was not his *optimal* choice. If a girl chooses abortion, that was maybe *the best case* choice.
That both activities question both morality and ethics is never mentioned because then someone might actually commit to right and wrong actions.
From such drivel has come the mantra of *woman's choice* when she gets to be some kind of absolute tyrant ruling over life and death of infancy and her putative partner's possible choices. In such situations, we are occaionally left with law suits and court petitions by potential fathers who only lately learn about their possible offspring, are never notified that they've become parents, and are disregarded as fifth wheels in all proceeding and concerns.
Men are so ignored and denigrated by the entire process that they are usually reduced to some subordinate *support* role, as if the whole business were no more significant than who won a supporting actor Oscar maybe 20 years ago.

These same idiots that chant
"My body, my choice" aren't really for choice. They're talking about themselves in particular and no one else. If a person really did have control over their own body, why couldn't I sell one of my kidney's if I wanted to? I mean, everyone else along the path makes money. The donor coordinator, doctors, hospitals, heck even the courier service makes money on donated organs. Why not the person doing the "donating"? Your pathetic childishness really annoys the rest of us adults.

Profrom dover: You're wrong
You label Mr. Obama a "charming marxist".

He's not all that charming.

Offensive Posts
I just got to thinking for some reason about the ability to flag a post as offensive. I have seen many posts disappear over time and I dislike the practice. As a medium for exchanging ideas and in respect for the first amendment, I suggest that most offensive posts should be left alone.

I have never flagged a post as offensive even though some might seem to deserve it. I think this serves several purposes. One, the post remains in the public realm and can be found and copied in the future to be used against the offending poster. Two, it serves to remind us of just what thoughts some people are capable of. Why erase the evidence?. Third, if you are easily offended, then perhaps you should find a less controversial forum than a political site.

I post this because I actually considered going back and flagging JM051's earlier post but, decided it should remain.

I liked the ability yahoo used to give on their forums to rate a post or agree with one. Each post would contain the number of recommends given by other readers. I would like to see something similar here with another indicator of revulsion. Perhaps a smiley face or frowny face we could click to indicate our degree of agreement or disagreement.

b. hussein obama
politics can be addictive, listening and following leftists is to be avoided.

The question concerning whether b hussein is what blacks need is only part of the equation. The question is whether b. hussein is what america needs.

It seems that b. hussein is the selection of the media types, the blacks and the egghead elitists. I thought the process was to find who was, or who could be what is best for america.

Many remain disappointed over the 8 years we have endured under bush. The idea that someone as naive as b. hussein and his strange notions that terrorists can be worked with defies understanding. The media would have us believe that b. hussein is this fresh voice and under his "leadership" all problems can be resolved and his personality alone can generate world peace is laughable but worse dangerous to the security of this country and the world

renny, I too think it's despicable ..
they way fathers are treated in the process. As much as I'd like to beat that drum, I don't. Especially with regard to non-married, or shack-up, situations. Men have to know that the deck is stacked againgst them and if they sit down at the table and play, they are probably going to lose.

Women hold virtually all the cards when it comes to pregnancy and abortion. The father has little or no rights in most cases. So to men who can't their pants zipped will just have to learn to deal with the consequences.

Hitchhiker
To a large extent I agree with your post above about not flagging offensive remarks, but I HAVE flagged some when they are beyond despicable. Since I can't slap them silly, a slap down by flagging their post seems a moderate response to vile statements.

Political and Economic "Genocide"
Obama by his actions, his votes against curtailing "partial birth abortions" and his statements regarding his daughters "the punishment of a baby" is repugnent beyond words.

But even more significant to his constituancy (90% of the potential black vote) is that he is actively a proponent of diminishing his races' political and economic impact to a non-factor in future US governmental considerations.

Look at the numbers (US census data for 1970 through and 2005(est)):
Black Pop.% in 1970-- 10.5%
in 2005-- 12.5%
Hispanic in 1970-- 4.4%
in 2005-- 14.4%
Asian in 1970-- n/a
in 2005-- 4.3%
White/other in 1970-- 85.1%
in 2005-- 68.8%
Abortion data indicates that fully 1/3 of all abortions are abortions of Black babies. Given that the population percentage of Blacks has been relatively constant around 11%-13% the 1/3 factor is extreemely disproportionate.
In fact if you extend the trends indicated above for another 35 years the Black percentages go to below 5% of projected population numbers.

At 5% or less this population would not be of political or economic significance. I believe I am right in refering to this as Political and Economic "Genocide" for Blacks in America.

The things being espoused by Obama can only lead to the conclusion that he is just one more politician using the Black race as a springboard to office. In this case he cearly does not care one iota that his policies would help destroy his own race (albeit diluted).

Hitler
I will flag everything you post until you post something that is not offensive or on topic. Be gone with you.

It's not ludicrous at all! In fact, it's the reason behind the founding of the Crimson Apex Solidarity Horde. (Well, that and the piles of CASH that flow toward minorities with an advocacy group.) CHOICE
referring to a women’s right to CHOOSE abortion/murder. Because, women do have the right to choose, it was before they opened their legs, that was where they failed to make a choice between responsibility of actions i.e. birth control or maybe morality. But by CHOOSING to be irresponsible and using abortion as the solution, making abortion nothing more than another form of birth control. In a more moderate tone to restate the issue, “The Choice needs to be made before risking a pregnancy or at precisely before the moment of intimacy, not afterwards.” Unfortunately we live in an era when society, lacking any faith based morality chooses to deny the ideology that each and every human life is made in the image of God and is held precious and deserving of protection.

But it is their right, say them. What right is that, I ask? To act immorally, to be irresponsible, to kill, just what right is it they are talking about??? Tell me which Amendment covers that right, there isn’t one! Again, we see irrefutable evidence of the dumbing down of the “many”, by the liberal agendas that devalues human life and dignity and denies the sanctity of life. I have been told it is regarding “the right of a woman over her own body” where is there a right like that, stated??? Is happiness equated to having promiscuous sex and the control over ones body, after the fact, as just merely the solution?
We have the “right” or rather the freedom, to smoke even if it kills us, yup, but not to force a cigarette on someone else, drive when drunk, nope; so it would seem that society does discern the validity to some of our actions.

LIFE
What, then, is the determination of what we can do in regard to our rights? We CAN NOT do anything that poses a threat or endangerment to another human being; even the unborn, and yes a fetus is a human being regardless of when you deem life begins, this idea of when life begins is irrelevant unless you have experienced the loss of a precious baby and mourn that child. It matters not if you were 6weeks, 6months or 40 weeks pregnant, you deeply mourn that loss no matter when you experience it.
We ALL do have the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not free sex fueled by self-indulging and lustful pleasures. Political correctness describes this heinous action, abortion, as a “choice”, again semantics minimizes the act of murder by implying it’s merely about a “choice” not the destruction of a human life.

To all my friends:
Come on over to Fountain Abbey. I've put up a couple of new posts for y'all to enjoy.

The first is another one on the Holocaust, and the second is a military story that is quite humorous, but sadly does have mature content, so some of you may want to skip over it.

The military story is entitled "The Lady In Red".

Hope to see y'all there!

I noticed from your comment to daily jones you fail to understand how the right views the state of washington. Perhaps you are not quite as looney as oregon but still in competition to give socialist massachusetts competition for the title of leftist paradise.

But seeing that the supreme court has ruled in favor of photo id's for voting I guess the left in washington is wondering how they will win further elections without first polling the various cemetaries when counting votes

Obama, the Infanticide Candidate
When Obama first refered to a baby as punishment, I had to wonder if that was how he saw himself. Was he a "punishment" for his mother's indescretion? This man could play all three male parts in the Wizard of Oz. He has no courage, won't even debate the Wicked Witch of Westchester County, New York. He really hasn't show any evidence of having a brain, just look at his latest "57 states" comment and by voting against the Infant Liability Act, he certainly proves he has no heart.

Star - How do Town Hall bloggers who
so proudly speak in foul language translate their conservative morals and values, while directing their opinions and commentaries to these threads?

What are their behavioral absolutes?

Your article contains scare tactics, doesn't it?
Are these your expression of true press?
In one place, you hinted at agreeing with Reverend Wright, when you referenced his comment about Obama "being a politician."

Now you and he (Wright) have found some common ground???

The details of these partial abortions you describe ARE brutal. I assure you nobody (including Barack Obama) will condone them.

Lower Middle Class and Racism
You people talk about Race like Joseph Goebel Talked about Jews. Propaganda at it's worst.
Before judging other people you need to look in the mirror. Unsuccessful people have a tendency to blame/hate other people for the quality of their life (Blacks and Whites). Why is majority of Racist in America Lower Middle Class or Poor? It's easy to blame others for your shortcomings.

Hitchhiker - the problem with rating
a blogger's post is that; in this kind of forum, popular opinion could very well be of an offensive view. I would say that so many of these bloggers view the world in an extreme and passionate side. So many refuse to even consider that another view can be enlightening, whether they conclude for or against.

Another point: Who ever believes 'free' speech to be interpreted to mean 'any' speech has best to search his soul and his higher power for some clarity on this issue.

Nothing is free.

renny #103 post
I feel for you.

Any man who inserts his pen** into the vagina of a woman, should assume a child is beginning its life. Don't you think?

that word was pronounced 'unacceptable'.

Hitchhiker #101
This article affected me too.

I believe it to be manipulative.

I am absolutely against abortion. Period.

Those who are threatened by strangulation or some unforseen condition may consult those/her higher power for guidance. That decision must be theirs. No one elses.

We, as a civilized society must make priority, the education of spiritual discernment and cherished life. WE must learn compassion and responisility all over again.

On Demand, Partial, Live
I may be wrong on this and I would like someone to fill correct me with specifics if possible;

I am not aware af any state or federal election that has had a proposition or other election device that was s stand alone vote for Abortion On Demand, i.e. abortion as a birth control method. To the best of my knowledge most americans do not agree with birth control by this method.

Furthermore: I have never seen or heard of specific vote of the people to allow Partial Birth Abortion. It was practised until the Supreme Court called a halt.

And Lastly: The item about B Hussien Obama acting to stop legislation to end live birth abortions is the first I had heard of this despicable practise. Again, have the people ever voted to specically allow this procedure?.

This is a perfect example of Liberalism(Socialism) run amok. I really do not believe that the majority of americans agree with the practises outlined above. Where do you think this puts HBO?

I do not believe that the majority of the american people have ever had the opportunity in a direct manner to say one way or the other.
If this is not true please let me know.

Someone enlighten me.

obama
This is such a rediculous column apparently no one has commented.

Lee #128
Nor have I ever heard of such a thing.

Pivotal Item
If a potential Supreme Court Justice is to be made accountable for his/her attitude regarding abortion and this is a pivotal consideration. After all Justices serve and interpret law for the rest of their lives.
Then this is most definately a reasonable litmus test for a candidate for the Presidency. This person gets only 4 or 8 years but appoints the above who are in for lifetime.
This is a very critical issue.

PC will destroy us all.

#1 post the great satan???
I read your referenced article.

I really think that Americans could benefit by knowing that it is people (whether doctors or not) who perform abortions, thereby legislating them.

It is a people/person who chooses to legislate/perform/allow/condone/accept such a criminal act; whether legal or illegal.

One's conscience remains the judge and the jury under God.

No President of my United States will ever influence my good conscience nor discriminate God's restitution for His creation of Life.

Each of us has a responsibility to our God as He sees fit. That is our only right and liberty.

"Property"
If society actually cared about the welfare of children, it might start by removing the “implied” legal standard that children are the sole “property” of their biological mothers from conception to legal adulthood. To begin with, the “virtuous” gender unilaterally exercises its "reproductive rights" 1.4M (30% of children conceived) times annually (w/o considering the corresponding responsibilities)by aborting, committing infanticide, & outright abandoning their children for purely capricious & arbitrary reasons. Additionally, American women bring about 70% of divorce actions (the “No-Fault” Divorce legal movement was started by the National Association of Women Lawyers in 1960), have children out of wedlock at least 37% of the time, and are invariably “entitled” to subsidized housing, welfare, food stamps, child custody, child support, alimony, etc. Their near monopoly with respect to child custody results in women committing over 60% of all child abuse & neglect. Non-biological partners account for an additional 30%. It would seem, in the absence of evidence of abuse, that default shared custody would be in the best interest of the nation’s children. Unfortunately, in this current state of institutionalized misandry, when all things female are sacrosanct and beyond reproach, maintaining the consequence-free, responsibility-optional lifestyles of irresponsible women children trumps the interests of this nation’s children. They are their mother’s “property” after all. Isn’t gender-feminism wonderful?

Dichotomy
There currently exists an institutionalized “open-secret” dichotomy in contemporary U.S. society: (a) Feminists and their duplicitous chivalrous male politician counterparts have enhanced the “sanctity” of motherhood to the point where fathers have been relegated to sperm-donors & part-time caretakers at best and ambulatory wallets at worst, i.e., Fathers have no rights during a pregnancy but financial obligations, with token rights, afterwards; yet (b) modern society blithely also allows these same individuals to unilaterally exercise their "reproductive rights" 1.4M times (30% of all children conceived) annually (w/o considering the corresponding responsibilities) by aborting, committing infanticide & outright abandoning their children for purely capricious & arbitrary reasons. This is perfectly “normal” behavior for the latest generation of the virtuous gender.

The debate about pro-choice vs. pro-life is bogus; it’s really pro- irresponsible woman vs. pro-fetus. The Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 gives women the exclusive, unilateral right to opt out of parenthood.

Black or White
Who cares?? Skin color does not matter!! What the "blacks" (and whites alike) need is a leader with the stones to lead! Not a manager, not a CEO, not a sold out white washed politician, it doesn't matter what color! The fact that obama is the sold out media's choice is enough. We are only getting what "they" (the globalist corporations here and abroad) are making available to us! I'm willing to bet that at least 95% of our illustrious great politicians are sold out to big money interests and the whole (once great) political system of our (once great) country is broken down....

Sorry folks, we're toast, because nobody seems to care. Welcome home to the USA third world! cause that's what's next for us and our children and our grandchildren!! How are we gonna fix this??

Roe vs. Wade
Even if “Roe vs. Wade” is overturned for being “bad law,” the issue will be transferred to the individual state legislatures as per the US Constitution’s original framers, i.e., 13 different little experiments. Hence, if you’re rabidly Pro-life, you can live in the Dakotas. If you want to employ abortion out of convenience (IAW 96% of the 1.4M annual abortions performed per year) , and feel morally superior for doing so, go live in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, i.e., a woman-child sleeps around, gets pregnant despite having access to dozen forms of birth control & uses abortion as retro-birth control. They can then wear a Ms. Magazine "I had an abortion" tee-shirt as though killing their child for convenience was some sort of sick feminist right of passage. You know the type.

I love bloggers who have statistics at
the tip of their fingers/tongues.

Where are they citing these stats from?

I lost custody because his lawyer was tough, expensive, while minimal child-support came our way: via garnishment between his quitting jobs.

Great strategy won custody of my children.
Then I got them back (after the decision proved selfish and the reprocussions brought parental summonding...regularly.

One son survived. The other is still healing with much devotion, patience & prayer.

HOW I CAN RESCUE MYSELF ??
Obama want to be a King in this country. They
both with his wife looks imperial .He is
impenetrable ,.He is talkative, NOT a brilliant. And for sure -- HE IS IMMORAL !
Our country will be in a BIG,BIG TROUBLE !

The abortion issue...
... in the US is much uglier than Roe v Wade or even 'partial birth.' We're talking eugenics. Look at the birth-rate of Down Syndrome children since 1973. A 75% decline. Doctors are now being sued for not notifying parents of genetic defects, like deafness, which can be detected in the womb. Where to next? Gender selection? Eye color?
The headline of this article is offensive. The man is running for President, and you want to talk whether he is the man 'blacks' need?
