Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Now that makes me angry. A man claiming to know Christ, with credentials that should demonstrate he does, using those credentials to speak lies to the homosexual community and the world... to willingly distort the message of God to excuse his own perversion and take as many people as possible down that path with him—the quintessential example of misery loving company.

Meanwhile apostates like the "reverend" Fred Phelps represent the other side of this dangerous, deadly deception... purporting to be followers of Christ, while revealing their own side of evil by declaring "God hates fags." I've got news... God loves sinners, including fags and the rest of us so much that He sent His only son to die a brutal death to pay the penalty for their sin and ours.

What does God hate? Religious phonies... liars... deceivers. Jesus drove them from the temple with a whip. He reserved his harshest comments for false teachers... calling them "blind guides... hypocrites... open-throated graves."

Terry Mangum had no power to send Kenneth Cummings to hell. No trustworthy preacher would say so. Homosexuality is a serious sin, but so are adultery, lying and stealing. If Christian doctrine prescribed retribution and murder for sin, we'd all be dead.

God sent His son, that famous "Jesus," to forgive, restore and renew... not to condemn. But redemption can't take place without the proclamation of God's standard on morality, sexual and otherwise. How will people know what sin is if we are no longer able to speak about it, confess it to each other and present the world with a better way... God's way?

If that is hate, then I guess I am a "monger." If love is letting friends and family lead destructive lives while standing by, nodding in approval, then I choose not to "love." But I do choose to be a friend... a faithful friend... the one who speaks truth even at the risk of friendship and maybe, in this case, my reputation.

Scot - let's call it a day
you can stick with your view that every other belief structure is false since it sez so in your book and I'll stick with my own personal experience which shows otherwise.

dannynono / We don't have to be lost...

dannynono writes: “I also completely disagree with the std church teaching which allows for christians (and non-christians really) to continue trashing this planet since we have 'dominion' over it and it's only a temporary home before we all head off to heaven.”

That is a red herring, and has nothing whatsoever to do with our discussion up to this point. I have not made environmentalist causes my ‘religion’ as many people seem to have done, but I’m certainly not in favor of “trashing this planet” either, and I don’t know any Christian who is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
dannynono writes: “- this is your book, not mine. I don't believe in 'sin'.”
Maybe you should; sin believes in you.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8, KJV)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

dannynono writes: “-sounds like a good argument for those that believe we are all one. all equal.”

I’m not sure I understand why you keep returning to the subject of “equality”, but without Christ, we are all equally lost, that is for sure.

But we don’t have to be lost Danny, the choice is ours; we can *choose*, man. Don’t you understand?

God does not want us to be lost:

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9, KJV)

Don’t just skip past it once you see that it’s a passage of Scripture, go back and read it, please, it’s important… more important than anything I can say.

Take care, Danny. I don’t expect your mind to change as a result of our conversation, but I hope you will think about it, really think about it.

Scott
