Obama's Big Disconnect

Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

For Barack Obama, closing the deal with Democrat voters has become like herding cats: He just can’t get them all lined up and coordinated on his side.

This nation has a history of looking closely at its candidates and taking their measure before they vote for them. It is a process that Obama shuns and rival Hillary Clinton thrives on -- and therein lies the problem for Democrats.

Obama, who leads both in pledged delegates and in the popular vote, cannot close the gap with lunch-pail Democrats, older voters and (for lack of a better term) white people.

Consequently, Clinton has been able to widen Obama's weaknesses with each passing primary contest.

Yes, Obama won lunch-pail Democrat votes in caucuses, but remember: Caucus participants, for the most part, are party activists who cling to the farthest-left end of the platform; they are not Middle America.

So why the disconnect with the Democrats’ core constituency?

The appearance is that Obama does not understand them; they are outside the realm of his “change” message. His original “change” agenda did not force him to relate with Middle America in order to win.

Wisely, Hillary’s did. Remember her “Listening Tour”? Of course, no one at the time was paying attention to Clinton because no one did “it” better than Obama. Then came the setbacks to Obama’s inevitability -- the Rev. Wright caused people to pause, and the “bitter” comment caused them to look elsewhere.

Here is part of the problem: Obama thought he could win the nomination by being against the war and not being George Bush. He did not realize, nor did he foresee, today’s economic problems. Jobs, jobs and jobs are what voters want a candidate to talk about; they want reinforcement that jobs will be available, that those will pay a living wage and will not be outsourced to foreign soil. Those voters are looking for a fighter.

A direct correlation exists between Hillary's success and the increased economic uneasiness, because economic uneasiness is highest among white middle-class workers.

Voters also are finally realizing they really want to know what “change” is. Is it 73 cents more in your pocket, or does it have an economic-stability package attached to it?

Obama came out of Pennsylvania looking like an elitist who can't live up to his rhetoric of bringing people together; he never showed the compassion for policy solutions that Hillary demonstrated.

U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle, a Western Pennsylvania superdelegate who has not committed to either candidate, says that’s a problem. “Obama needs to demonstrate that he can connect with blue-collar working-class people,” the Forest Hills Democrat said. “Up to this point, I don’t think he has shown that.”

As reported many times over, many Democrats, inside the Washington Beltway or in the Heartland, hope for an Obama-Clinton ticket. Brokering that deal may prove harder than herding cats; right now, ending the Cold War seemed a lot easier.

Yet to win in the fall, Obama needs Clinton more than Clinton needs him.

In the 1976 presidential campaign, Gerald Ford blamed Ronald Reagan for his loss to Jimmy Carter because Reagan did not campaign for Ford in Southern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Ford felt Reagan could have made the difference among what came to be known as Reagan Democrats, the same voters with whom Obama cannot connect.

Obama will need Clinton to do the same thing -- that is, if he ever herds the cats that he needs to close the deal and win the nomination.

Die for POTUS who won't honor our Flag?
The man won't wear the American Flag and I cannot find where anyone knows if he ever has soluted same. How would you feel as a 19 year old fighting soldier facing death for a Commander And Chief who won't salute our Flag?
Who's wife is not proud of the America which has made her want not, and a spiritual advisor to POTUS who says "God Damn America"?

What are you thinking Americans?
Don Jones
MyManJohn.com

pay attention

he wore a flag pin the day of the debate.
he sings the national anthem - not with his hand over his heart - but
sings it standing up and with eyes looking at the flag
and numerous times he has led the Senate in the pledge.

Now, in the house I grew up wearing a flag pin or any flag like things
was anathema to what you were supposed to do. I believe this is
still in the flag code, but as long as you do it tastefully I could care
less. (This does not include full flag patches)

Likewise, I do not care if people do not put their hand over their hearts
when they stand and sing the National Anthem - hey, at least he sings it
- have you watched how many athletes or spectators sing it lately?

And my man jones, he is not a Muslim.
And he never said I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing is his favorite song.

Western Pennsylvania
Western Pennsylvania is going for Mccain in the fall. Conservative Catholic Democrats I know in Illinois will not for Obama in the fall. He is arrogant and out of touch. He is an unrepented liberal. He is wrong on abortion and guns.

Pay Attention Yourself.
Obama is supported by every far left group or person in America. His cash cow, the far left George Soros, won't be found wearing a flag pin, saluting our flag or singing our national anthem. No way. But Soros is anxious for the "change" Obama keeps shouting about. He can't wait.

Let's see

Look at it your self

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp

That site gives some details.

If he wants to be Commander in Chief , he needs to learn the flag code and adher to it.

Pay attention yourself...
The man attends a church that spews hate speech against whitey and America. The Reverend Wright is no better than the Klan, Hitler, and Amadinejad. The pastor who has replaced the Reverend continues in the same mold. And you cannot convince any rational American who has viewed the tapes of the Reverend's sermon that Obama was absent on all those days or that what we saw and heard was 'taken out of context'. This means that, he is teaching this hate to his two daughters.

Then when Obama has the gall to make his comment that small town Americans are bitter and cling to Religion and guns... well, maybe he just thought they attended his church? And while you say that he was not a Muslim, pray tell exactly what religion was he before the bigotted Reverend converted him to Christianity? Hussein is the family name handed down from Muslim father to son, is it not? Did he not attend a madras as a child? So he went from one religion that spews hatred to the racist Reverend....

Pay attention yourself II...
Now lets look at what the Senator from Illinois has done as a Senator....
The answer is NOT MUCH and NONE of what little he did was bi-partisan.
He did not try to work with those accross the isle for a New York minute. Instead he (and the other two Senators vieing for the white house) have been campaigning for a full two years of their 4 year term. Of course they still collect their pay & perks, which is why I don't buy the Obama song of being a different 'kind' of politician. Saying it a million times doesn't make it so.

He is fond of blaming the war on George Bush, yet we know a majority of Democratic Senators also voted to go to war. Unfortunately for him the record of the vote passed by the Senate authorizing the war was made when the Senators from Illinois were Durbin and Fitzgerald. Don't see any Obama..... check for yourself: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll _call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=107&session=2&vote=00237

In fact, you don't see Obama's name replacing Fitzgerald until 2005, so how in the heck do you see him voting no on the war? DUH!!!

It's all these little things that add up to make people queasy about Obama. We all know that politicians say anything to get elected so his brilliant speeches only go so far and don't match up with his past actions and leanings....

NO WAY.
Let's see---
Obama's minister "GOD DAMNS AMERICA"
Obama's Wife--though college educated and wealthy, hates White America.
Obama's Cousin is busy in Africa beheading political opponents in Kenya

I'd say his only supporters are puppet masters and non-acheiving Blacks, who use whites as an excuse

Dumb people rule the day
The reason Obama can't connect to the middle class is because he insists on having an honest dialogue with them.
The Republican's figured out a long time ago that "you don't preach the bible to pigs".
You give pigs what they want (crap) and they are very happy.
This country is going nowhere because the clueless sway every election.

Sorry, but it's not about
"Jobs, jobs and jobs."

First of all, because most Americans who aren't part of the "progressive" clique' or the "chattering classes" figured out a long time ago that government cannot "create" jobs. Only private investment can do that, by investing resources to create WEALTH. Jobs are an inevitable by-product of that. When government "creates" jobs, they last just as long as the tax money is there to support them, no longer- and they disappear when the tax revenues fall. Say, when capital-gains taxes are raised to supply money to.... create jobs.

It's a self-defeating form of mental and fiduciary onanism, and the people who pay the taxes know it.

The second reason is that Obama has basically done exactly what Hillary's so-called husband did- shown himself to be an arrogant elitist who lies through his teeth to the people in general, and only says what he really thinks when he thinks only the "party faithful" are present. All of whom are arrogant elitists, just like him.

It isn't just Obama that can't "close the deal"- it's the entire leadership of the Democratic Party.

Including Hillary. (News flash; she's lying too- she's just better at it than he is, due to longer practice.)

I wait with bated breath for the farrago of nonsense from the usual suspects telling me I'm wrong. Because I'm not.

cheers

eon

You know middle America
What does middle America look like? What does rural America look like? Doesn't being American count for anything any more. If you support Obama then your not middle America. Your just some far left nut who fell in love with Obama's glow early in the race. Obama's an elitist? Using buzz words isn't going to cut it. If Obama was an elitist, it would have been detected early in the race and not just now. If Obama was out of touch, it would have been detected early in the race. If Obama looked down on people, it would have been detected early in the race. Obama makes people feel comfortable around him and thats an elitist and out of touch. Hillary can't seem to get off the ground and she's the one who communicates and is in touch with the people. You see, when you say something you have to have the facts to back it up and not the latest attacks memo passed around with the same buzz words meant to get negative reactions about Obama. From the moment this contest begain between Hillary and Obama, it's a fact one of these candidates haven't been able to connect with the people. It hasn't been Obama. Whatever Hillary says, is now in question. Is it a lie or not. Everytime Hillary tells a story, it's in question. Is this the truth of her over active imagination. You say the people wants a fighter, is that why Hillary compared herself to Rocky. Hillary is not a fighter. The Presidency is an entitlement to Hillary and no one is going to get it. Not Obama, not McCain and not even middle America. Thats not being a fighter. Thats 100% pure arrogance and elitism.

the oblahma and the missus clinton
in the end both are running as the entitlement candidates. The missus clinton based on her sex and saving the dims from bubba's attempt to destroy the party.

The oblahma running as the cure to the so called racial divide. He was going to bridge the gap because he was the great unifier who could transcend race but in the end ran solely on race.

but now it seems that neither can connect with all of the country. Both bring baggage and lack of experience.

If the repubs had a stronger candidate there would be less empahasis on the dims. Mccain however remains weak and too indecisive on too many issues. He still hasn't done much than being only marginally better than either of the dims on defending america against foreign enemies and the ravages of socialism

Obama vs. Normal Americans
Let's see here... Obama the liberal elitist and his US hating wife are the end result of Affirmative Action coming home to roost. Normal Americans grew up in school with an awe and respect for institutions like the pledge of allegiance and respect for the American flag. Apparently Obama did not.

Normal Americans had to fight for a better life- not feel as though the country owed them one.

Normal Americans feel the hurt when a group is singled out and put upon- such as the hatred for Germans, Italians, and Japanese during WWII and work to make things right- Obama sits in a church for 20 years under a racist pastor and does not go any further than disagree with him. Heck- if I was in a political position and did the same thing as a white person I would have to write letters and go to sensitivity training classes.

Normal Americans go to church and have respect for God. Obama feels like communists and atheists do- that religion and God are a crutch for the weak minded only to be pulled out during trouble and not a way of life.

Normal Americans feel that they have a right to own a firearm and that this right is protected by the Constitution. Obama feels that guns are something to hold onto when the going gets bad.

There is a big difference between Normal Americnas and Senator Obama.

disconnect
so salina,
is there a disconnect between bush and the voters: here to do the jobs americans won't, amnesty. gas is how much?. is that a high price?
the dollar is what? is that a low price?

is there a disconnect between mccain and the voters: amnestida, no border fence, send your military contracts to the french. don't send in the auditors.

the democrats and republicans have a big disconnect with the american people.

mensheviks and bolsheviks do not have the solutions for the united states. any of the 3 will bring the nation to turd world status in 1 term.

adios,
Harvey
Lancaster, Mexifornia
dial 1 for english

The bottom line for me
The bottom line for me is that he won't wear a flag pin or put his hand over his heart during the anthem. As a retired military officer, I refuse to vote for this man to become President and Commander in Chief. Oh, and as a white person, I refuse to vote for someone who for 20 years has listened to Rev. "hate whitey" Wright.

As important, personally, as respect
for the flag is....
I read his "Blueprint for Change".
Everyone should.
Then ask one question.
How ya gonna pay for all that?
All the tax increses both dimocrats are talking about won't begin to pay for all the spending either of them advocate.
deficit, Deficit, DEFICIT
And the Chinese will own more of us.
Very bad idea.

Obama Has The Nomination
Sharpton's power play in New York has nothing to do with the decision to free police. Sharpton is warning the Democrat Party he will call for riots, if the Blacks perceive the nomination is stolen from Obama. Blacks don't care about the legal or political argument, they think only in skewed terms and anti-Black oppressive decisions. The nomination is Obama's and all leave, passes, and holidays had better be cancelled for firemen and bomb squads, if the nomination is denied him. The Clintons had better get out of Harlem before they get the "Mussolini" treatment but "sic itur ad astra".

There is no hope
until, in spite of its faults, we love America and loudly say so. In the past, we have come together to fix problems like discrimination. Somewhere down the way, we became balkinized into a multitude of groups who work for their indivdual interests and in competition with the "others".

I don't see Obama has anyway to pull us back together except for his seeming confidence in talk and his own intelligence. This is not good enough for me.

Ode to Obama from my blog.
Based on Simon and Garfunkle's Cecilia. Special thanks to Langston Hughes for the Crystal Stair.

Obama, you're breaking apart
You're shaking our confidence daily
Oh Obama, You say what you please
But you're just a sleaze, so go home

Obama, You're just and upstart
You're faking your campaigning daily
Oh Obama, It's not about race
No Crystal Staircase, just go home
Go on Home.

Hawking hope in the afternoon
It's Obama, but there's pending doom. (yes, there is!)
Soon to Hill he'll lose his place
'Cause at heart the campaign's
About gender and race.

Obama, you're hangin' with Wright
And Ayers' Weather Underground daily
Oh Obama, You want us to vote
You're bankin' on hope, but go home
Go on Home.

Jubilation, now Clinton's redeemed
We all see the fall and we're laughing
Jubilation, She's picking up steam
Obama will fall and we're laughing

Oh Oh Oh Oh, Obama will lose
Who else can we choose
Maybe Hilly!

Oh Oh Oh Oh, Obama will lose
Old Chaos is loose
What sensation!

Oh Oh Oh Oh (fade)

AynRandLives
was spot on regarding his comments about Barry Hussein Obama.

Normal Americans are so used to the race-baiters who speak like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton that when an eloquent black guy like Obama speaks, some people think he's not the same as the other black supremacists who play the race card every day.

Obama and his wife are in lock-step with Jeremiah Wright and his congregation. "Hate Whitey" should be his campaign slogan.

Equal Time to McCain from my blog
Thanks Billy Joel for inspiring the following parody. Based on You May Be Right.

Fright'ning night he crashed our party
The next day we felt so sorry
Others dropped and hopes were dashed again
He's from Arizona's Sun
Wasn't hurting anyone
So the GOP selected John McCain

He's been stranded in a combat zone
Survived the Hanoi cell alone
Even though he's old we now have John McCain
And we told him not to run
'Cause his policies are dumb
And we said that only proves that they're insane.

(Refrain)
John might be Right, Bush may be crazy
But it's just a good conservative I'm looking for
Turn out the light, don't try to change me
I may be wrong for all I know but McCain ain't 'Right'

Remember how he viewed the fence
With Feingold added more nonsense
And joined that nasty old gang of fourteen?
We were looking for a man
He said take me as I am
'Cause you might enjoy a RINO on the team

Now think of all the years we tried to
Find someone who might have a clue
Bush might be as crazy as you say
If he's crazy then it's true
Then that RINO John is too
And we really don't embrace his Maverick ways

(Refrain)
John may be Right, Bush may be crazy
But it's just a good conservative we're looking for
Turn out the light, on the old G.O.P.
I may be wrong for all I know, but McCain ain't Right

I may be wrong but McCain ain't right (6X)

If Obama becomes president,
we will have a disaster: a far, far leftist who thinks he can pal around with Hugo Chavez and who would probably appoint Jimmah Carter as secretary of state. George Soros would be so proud! I wonder how many of our officer corps would quit if Obama became commander in chief.

Obama is a hack pol. from Chicago
who wants to be US pres., the most powerful position that has ever existed--more than being Ceasar in imperial Rome--but he cannot wear a flag pin, deny his relations with racists (Wright and Weeks), terrorists (Ayers and Dohrn), and crooks (Rezko) AND he cannot debate a woman who's he's beaten in popular vote and delegate count.

Here is a guy who says he'll talk to tyrants like Iran's Ahmadinejad and N. Korea's but he can't confront Hillary Clinton on tv.

He doesn't represent me. He may not be a Moslem, but he attended a madrassa in Indonesia at a very early age, and he has myriad Middle Eastern connections that are as opaque as h*ll at midnight. He is inexperienced, never led anything, doesn't like typical white people (a label he gives both his white grandmother and white mother) or connect with white people save elitist liberals, and will not be pres. of the US.

Obama
Does anyone think Hillary will campaign for Obama if he gets the nomination? I can't picture that.

Obama is heir to Jimmah. He is endorsed by Brezinzski. He doesn't like our country. He does agree with Wright and Farrahkan. He is really no religion, as much Moslem as "Christian". The change he wants is the destruction of our country and the creation of the North Ameirican Union and ultimately one world gov. He is a MARXIST. He is very smooth and polished, but evil just the same.

Obama describes his new found "Christian" faith as: (1) Suspicious of dogma (2) Without any monopoly on the truth (3) Nontransferable to others (4) Infused with a big healthy dose of doubt, and (5) Indulgent of and COMPATIBLE WITH ALL OTHER RELIGIONS.

On Feb 15/08, Usama K. Dakdok, President of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry called Obama's Church and reported the following conversation: " I then asked the person who answered what I needed to do to join. She told me that I needed to attend two Sunday School classes in a row and then I would walk the aisle. I replied, "That sounds easy. One last question please. If I am Muslim and I believe in the Prophet Mohammed, peace be unto him and I also believe in Jesus, peace be unto him, do I have to give up my Islamic faith to be a member in your church? She answered: "No, we have many Muslim members in our church."

Obama is Carter redux
Every day now, Obama does something else that reminds me of Carter:

The moralizing.
The scolding of Americans.
The beating up on our allies.
Making concessions to our adversaries.
A windfall profits tax on oil.
Raising taxes.

Obama gets away with this, because his youthful supporters are too young to remember the Carter years and don't remember why these policies failed. Their left-wing teachers and professors won't tell them. In fact, with no sense of historical reference, these policies come off as "new and refreshing" because their entire lives were spent in a time of conservative dominance.

Gang Of 14
And not a Clinton or Obama among them? How's that sit with especially Obama's claim to be a "uniter"?

Obama
"In America," Obama said, "we have this strong bias toward individual action. You know, we idolize the John Wayne hero who comes in to correct things with both guns blazing. But individual actions, individual dreams, are not sufficient. We must unite in collective action, build collective institutions and organizations."

collective=marxism

Obama addressed the "unemployment catastrophe" among black youth, and declared any solution "must arise from us working creatively within a MULTICULTURAL, INTERDEPENDENT, and INTERNATIONAL ECONOMY."

That's globalism. I doubt blacks working like serfs is really going to be OK with him, but he'd love to see whites reduced to third world status. To pay for our crimes.

The real question is who do the globalists want to win? This election was over before it began because all the candidates are in the bag. All we are doing, talking about this, is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

They are all going to scr*w us, although Obama scares me the most, because he hates our country.

Mrs. Paddy
Your Cecilia/Obama parody is my favorite. I could hear the percussion section in the background as i read it.

Of course Obama
has no connection to middle America. he connects perfectly with the far left (they defend him here) and inexperienced youngsters and of course, typical blacks. He has immersed himself for 25 years in these people, talks like them and has their values. No wonder he has no idea what irks some heavy euipment operator, or when he is saying something irritating. Hard to see how he can get elected without these Reagan Democrats, but who knows.

Fox News asked if McCain has already
peaked this morning. What a ridiculous question. The Dems don't even have a nominee? How can anyone peak when the campaign hasn't even started yet? What bothers me is that BO is ahead in some of the national polls. What is it going to take to get America to realize that BO doesn't relate to the vast majority of middle America? I'm thinking about making some T-shirts that say "Obama So Much Better Than Any Of Us".

Goldwater
http://www.gwb.com.au/gwb/news/multi/goldwatr.html

What Goldwater had to say about CFR/Trilateral Commission

"I believe that the Council on Foreign Relations and its ancillary elitist groups are indifferent to communism. They have no ideological anchors. IN THEIR PURSUIT OF A NEW WORLD ORDER, THEY ARE PREPARED TO DEAL WITHOUT PREJUDICE WITH A COMMUNIST STATE, A SOCIALIST STATE, a democratic state, a monarchy, an oligarchy - its all the same to them.

"THEIR GOAL IS TO impose a benign stability on the quarreling family of nations through merger and consolidation. THEY SEE THE ELIMINATION OF NATIONAL BOUNDARIES, THE SUPPRESSION OF RACIAL AND ETHNIC LOYALTIES, as the most expeditious avenue to world peace. They believe economic competition is the root cause of international tension.

"Perhaps if the council's vision of the future were realized, it would reduce wars, lessen poverty and bring about a more efficient utilization of the world's resources. To my mind, THIS WOULD INEVITABLY BE ACCOMPANIED BY A LOSS IN PERSONAL FREEDOM OF CHOICE AND RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RESTRAINTS THAT PROVOKED THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION.

"THERE HAS BEEN A GREAT TURNOVER IN PERSONNEL. BUT NO CHANGE IN POLICY. Example: DURING THE NIXON YEARS, HENRY KISSINGER, A COUNCIL MEMBER AND NELSON ROCKEFELLER PROTEGE, WAS IN CHARGE OF FOREIGN POLICY. WHEN JIMMY CARTER WAS ELECTED, KISSINGER WAS REPLACED BY ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI, A COUNCIL MEMBER AND DAVID ROCKEFELLER PROTEGE.

Obama globalist stooge
"WHERE I DIFFER FROM Rockefeller is in the suggestion that to achieve this new federalism, THE UNITED STATES MUST SUBMERGE ITS NATIONAL IDENTITY AND SURRENDER SUBSTANTIAL MATTERS OF SOVEREIGNTY TO A NEW POLITICAL ORDER.
"ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI AND DAVID ROCKEFELLER SCREENED AND SELECTED EVERY INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN SHAPING AND ADMINISTERING THE PROPOSED NEW WORLD ORDER.

"IN THE LATE 1950S, Brzezinski, an accepted member of the inner circle of academics, asserting the need for global strategies, was openly anti-communist. By 1964, he had modified his criticism of communism.

"In my view, THE TRILATERAL COMMISSION REPRESENTS A SKILLFUL, COORDINATED EFFORT TO SEIZE CONTROL AND CONSOLIDATE THE FOUR CENTERS OF POWER - POLITICAL, MONETARY, INTELLECTUAL AND ECCLESIASTICAL. (world religion is included!)

"A REPORT PRESENTED AT THE PLENARY MEETING OF THE TRILATERAL COMMISSION IN MAY 1975, AT KYOTO, JAPAN, CALLED FOR AN ENLARGEMENT OF CENTRAL AUTHORITY AND EXPRESSED A LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN DEMOCRATICALLY ARRIVED AT PUBLIC DECISIONS.

"It also suggested that it would be helpful to IMPOSE PRIOR RESTRICTIONS ON THE PRESS and to restructure the laws of libel to CHECK THE POWER OF THE PRESS.

"THE ENTIRE TRILATERAL Commission approach is strictly economic. No recognition is given to the political condition. Total reliance is placed on materialism. The commission emphasizes the necessity of eliminating artificial barriers to world commerce, tariff, export duties, quota - an objective that I strongly support. What it proposes to substitute is an international economy managed and controlled by international monetary groups.

Obama globalist stooge/Carter heir
"No attempt has been made to explain why the people of the Western world enjoy economic abundance. FREEDOM - SPIRITUAL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC - IS DENIED ANY IMPORTANCE IN THE TRILATERAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEXT CENTURY.

"DAVID ROCKEFELLER AND ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI FOUND JIMMY CARTER TO BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE, FOR EXAMPLE. THEY HELPED HIM WIN THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION AND THE PRESIDENCY.

"TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR purpose, THEY MOBILIZED THE MONEY POWER OF THE WALL STREET BANKERS, THE INTELLECTUAL INFLUENCE OF THE ACADEMIC COMMUNITY - WHICH IS SUBSERVIENT TO THE WEALTHY OF THE GREAT TAX-FREE FOUNDATIONS - AND THE MEDIA CONTROLLERS REPRESENTED IN THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS AND THE TRILATERAL COMMISSION.

"They made him a founding member of the commission but to keep their options open, they also brought in Walter Mondale and Elliot Richardson, a highly visible Republican member of the Nixon administration, and they looked at other potential nominees.

"After his nomination, Carter chose Mondale as his vice president. He chose Brzezinski as his foreign affairs adviser and Cyrus Vance as his secretary of state.

I will repeat Obama is endorsed by Brezinzski

New darlings of the left!
The left has found their new darlings. Down with those Che Quevara posters decorating their homes. Up with the Barack and Michelle posters.

Wonder what my fellow conservatives could do to stop a person so far left he's off the charts? Could myself and fellow conservatives vote for the nominee of the Republican Party? Think it might help stop this guy from turning the strongest nation on the face of the earth into a third world country. That's what the left wants you know. They dream of it night and day. The nation they despise could end of being "Venezuela North". The left cheers!

Che is gone but Barack and Michelle will carry on. Warms the hearts of Sean Penn, Robert here at TH and far left radicals around the world. Think they'll get their wish? Maybe there is someone who won't let the country go down the tubes and who believes deeply in a strong America. The nominee of the Republican Party has stated those beliefs repeatedly and has surrounded himself with conservatives!!!!

John McCain or Barack Obama? The pride of the left or someone who will NOT surrender this nation to terrorists!

decisions. The biggest in the future is not to get us into unnecessary
wars, like Iraq

"No wonder he has no idea what irks some heavy euipment operator, or when he is saying something irritating. Hard to see how he can get elected without these Reagan Democrats, but who knows."

Maybe they will vote their self-interest?

Mr M Coupe writes: "What is it going to take to get America to realize that BO doesn't relate to the vast majority of middle America? I'm thinking about making some T-shirts that say "Obama So Much Better Than Any Of Us"."

He doesn't relate to us, he went to better schools than us - boo hoo hoo
who the _____ cares?

Will he lead us into another unnecessary war?
Will he save social security (not a big fan of it myself - but if you make
a promise to people you should keep it)
Will he improve health coverage (66% of Americans support a plan like
his)

call me crazy but I don't get caught up in feelings.
a valid comparison, is music, some people get caught up in the looks
of the band, me, I judge the music.

This is not to say I like everything about Obama, but I am guessing that
he is less likely to lead Americans into an unnecessary war.

the bad news
The bad news is that McCain is endorsed by CFR and Hillary and Bill are in deep too.

Jorge was their stooge also.

It won't matter who wins.

everyonesfacts
I would not have given the lapel pin a thought if BO didn't make a point of saying something about it himself. The following is a quote from Obama about the lapel pin.

"The truth is that right after 9-11 I had a pin," Obama said. "Shortly after 9-11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security.

"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," he said in the interview. "Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism."

I can't think of any other candidate for POTUS that would say such a ridiculous thing. Obama made the pin an issue himself. No one would have said a word about it if he didn't.

bi-partisan support
The CFR is the establishment. Not only does it have influence and power in key decision-making positions at the highest levels of government to apply pressure from above, but it also finances and uses individuals and groups to bring pressure from below, to justify the high-level decisions for converting the United States from a sovereign constitutional republic into a servile member of a one-world dictatorship. Former Congressman John R. Rarick

Who are some of the past and present members of this anti-American operation? Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, Porter Goss, Alan Greenspan, John Bolton, Paul Wolfowitz, Gen. Richard B. Myers, Henry Hyde, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr., Sandra Day O'Connor, George Soros, Christopher Dodd, Diane Feinstein, Gerald Ford, Bill Frist, Newt Gingrich, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Katherine Harris, Teresa Heinz, Antonia Hernandez – President of Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Gen. John P. Jumper – current Air Force chief of staff, Joseph Lieberman, John McCain, Rupert Murdock, David Rockefeller, Diane Sawyer and Tony Snow.

Dick Cheney and Soros and Teresa Heinz (standing in for the hubby) all chummy together in the same organization.

Is it just about fighting out who gets the most spoils?

Today kicks off the countdown to May 1st, Holocaust Remembrance Day, at Fountain Abbey.

Stop by my blog: fountainabbey@blogtownhall.com (or just click on my name to go there)

Every day I will have a different blog entry about the Holocaust.

Feel free to send them to anyone and everything, especially those who are skeptics. I have provided links to websites with tons of pictures taken of the concentration camps and all the atrocities therein, that you can send to other people to help them lose their skepticism that the Holocaust happened.

Stop by the Abbey when you get a chance!

no, he did not make it an issue.

a reporter did.

this was not part of a speech.

he could have answered it differently that would not lead chuckleheads
to try and make it an issue. But chuckleheads will be chuckleheads.

You are going to have to
vote for a president.

The choices will most likely be Obama for the Dems. and McCain for the Reps.

You aren't going to get whoever is subliminally pure of heart and politics and whatever else you want. Politics is not innocence and light--it's called the art of the possible.

Writing in for someone or denying the reality that's going to be presented isn't going to make the situation better. McCain is a million times more compatible to cons.'s than either Dem. candidate of the moment.

With the Dems. you know you will get militay humiliation in the Middle East, a sure predictor of a bad economy and world recession, for as the US goes, so goes the world; Dems. mean higher taxes, and all the energy surcharges the global warming sh*t will bring (may Al Gore as Energy Czar); the homosexual agenda, the feminist agenda, universal health care (we can't pay for Medicaid and Medicaid now), the unFairness Doctrine to shut down sites like TH, and ad infinitum.

McCain has never had an earmark, has never voted for a tax increase, wants to preserve the Bush tax cuts (that could raise your taxes $2500 in 2010), and will nominate cons. to the courts. IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN KEEPING ANOTHER TWO OR THREE WHACKOS OFF THE SUP. CT., MCCAIN SHOULD BE THE CANDIDATE YOU VOTE FOR.

So typical, I have a direct quote right from BO's own mouth and it's someone elses fault. So, anytime BO says something stupid, I guess you'll find someone else to blame. I suppose BO isn't responsble for his San Fran comments either.

Mr. Obama closing the gap
It never fails to amaze me how people like you can just lie. The Clintons will continue to use scare tatics on poor rual whites to try and win the nomination. Mr. Obama has won with young white voters because they know the truth. These young sharp children are not going to be swayed by old racist white folks. Mr. Obama gave young disatvantaged and poor whites a voice. White people could not admit to being poor until Mr. Obama said we are in this together. Hillary has lied and her husband is a cheat. You want to make Rev.Wright an issue but you need to hold that fire to a person who is married to someone.Monica could have been a spy.What are you Hillary supporters going to do when the red phone rings and Hillary can't find Bill? HILLARY IS WORTH 100 million dollars and the American people are suppose to believe Hillary is concerned for us.Rev. Wright was right. We must continue to pray tat we will become one America.Obama will win.

Mamalox
I don't know who you are talking to. Who's supporting HRC here? If you want to support BO that's up to you. After all, he's the second coming, isn't he. If BO wins the W. H. all the nations problems are just going to drift away. Boy I wish you'd pass the Koolade, I'm thirsty.

mamalox
you sound like someone all of 18 years old. Exactly who are these young voters whop know the truth. Based on the level of education taught by the liberal establishment what passes for knowledge is closer to liberal indoctrination.

The american dream is the accumulation of wealth. Many of us dislike the clintons but their accumulation of wealth was through as far aa any know strictly legal.

The rev wright however supposidly this great minister who railed against white folks and america somehow has managed to latch on to $10 million to buy a house in a neighborhood that is close to 97% white and that for the left doesn't raise questions or ring of blatant hypocrisy.

But as is typical of the left is they will offer cover for the these two weak candidates that are mirror images of each other.

As for america coming together that remains a pipedream. Partisan politics and the nastiness injected into politics by the likes of kennedy, pelosi, reid, durbin etall have made washington a place where there will never be more than minimal consensus.

The oblahma remains far more partisan and has no record of working across the aisle and offers nothing more than the typical brand of failed dim policies of increased govt, more failed govt programs and increased taxes.

wildwest
I think mamalox want away. Like most LW bomb throwers its hit and run (with your tail between your legs). That's what happens when you shot you wad all at once.

Many comments reminds me of something .
Some time ago I read something attributed to Daniel Patrick Monyihan. I alwys respected and admired him! His simple but "right" statement has stuck with me! He said: Everyone has a right to their own opinions, but not to their own facts! I read a lot of "your own facts" in these comments! Shame on you!

vamtns41
Have you ever watched any of the political talk shows? I hardly ever see people state the facts. Just listen to Allen Colmes for five minutes. Even when a Republican agrees with him he still tries to argue with them. I think that most people have a set point of view and don't want to listen to what others are saying. I don't think this is unique to TH, go over the LW sites and read the posts over there. I think you'll see what I'm saying is true.

CFR ????
Oh now we have the great CFR conspiracy again. Yep, everything is the fault of those aiming for a One World Government. I guess the CFR is in cahoots with the Skull and Bones at Yale, the Illuminati and, especially, that dastardly Carlyle Group. Oh, and what about the Free Masons, as well as the Knights Templar still protecting the Holy Grail, I guess.

And, then we have those nasty Neocons and the Zionists. We all know they control everything, including the media (what?). Then we have Big Oil trying to bankrupt all of us and Big Pharma cooperating with those evil Insurance Companies to make sure we have no healthcare.

Hell, we don't have a chance - let's just give up. Even our hero Obama can't defeat these evils.

You people may fear this basketful of conspiracies, but my fears for this country are focused on REAL threats like Islamic Terrorism, Trial Lawyers, Teacher's Unions, Radical Environmentalists (Al Gore), hedge fund managers, etc. If only the CFR was powerful enough to counter these threats which may, indeed, destroy this country.

I can't find fault with any of your concerns. As for the CFR, I think people like to focus on things that don't exist, like UFO's and Yetis. I guess, its just fun to find danger where it doesn't exist.

Unfortunately for BO
War is not the only thing will be driving folks to the election booth. But after listening to his interview this morning he is clueless about that also. He, as with most Politicians is, "of the people for himself". I have not heard anything from him that leads me to believe that he knows much about the economy, he knows nothing about what it takes to run a business in this country. Barrack reminds me of another fictional character, and as he often said, "make it so number one". Does he really believe that words will get the job done? It sure looks that way to me.
His so-called "historical" speech on race fell short. If race relations in this country were actually as they should be, people like BO would be out of a job. I would add that I do not believe that racial relations in this country are as bad as the Dems would like us to believe. When all Americans come to realize that Government agencies and political rhetoric are the problem, they will once again operate as a community instead of individual lobbyists voting for another fix-all political promise.
America is most definitely ready for a Black President, just not this one.

Jims Jab
Never has one man, used so many words, to say so little. I wish I had that kind of gift. I could go far BS'ing my way through life. I wonder if BO gives lessons?

I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR OBAMA!!
seems to me like obama feels more comfortable around kids infact if he only knew "enough of the basketball"!! its getting quite repulsive to see he cares more about playing basketball instead of spending time explaining just what it is hes going to do to make this world a better place not to mention take time out to answer all the lingering questions up in air regarding all his associations with people that speak horrible things about our country!!

he might even have time for a debate with hillary if he could not be so into hitting the jumpshot he thinks he has...this is what has turned people off about him along with the lack of experience and his so callled smooth ways about him!! he is smelling his 50's but acts like someone in their 30's and its quite a turnoff for people who want a "man" as the president instead of a college wanna be!!

if he can only related to basketball then i do have one thing to day to him....

"DEFENSE WINS GAMES"!! not the jump shot!! wow! hillary sure seems to be the more dominant one with the answers while obama is the weak one that just wants to work on his jumpshot!!

indiana is make or break for obama as well!! nobody is saying anything about that now are they? maybe if he spent some time actually talking about something he might win the state however hillary is the dominant one now and she will win with her "defense"!!

say "NO TO "O"!!

Mr. M Coupe how disingenuous
you quoted his words but you wrote:
"I would not have given the lapel pin a thought if BO didn't make a point of saying something about it himself."

ummm, he didn't he was asked a question. perhaps you missed this
part of your post: "in the interview". Hence it was an answer to a
question.

So no he didn't make a point of saying something about it himself
a reporter did. It was probably the furthest thing from his mind -
because who really cares? (Obviously some members here)

Isn't it more important what candidates "tell the American people [of]
what [they] believe will make this country great"?

For most Americans this combined with what they've done and what
we think they will do. For the fashion police it'll be something different.

everyonesfacts
Nice try. Don't be such a coward, if you want to call me a liar then just do it. I told how I felt about the lapel pin as simply as I could for you. I will leave it in your hands to judge my motives, since you think you can read my mind.

I have at least a half dozen major issues with BO. The lapel pin is not on my list. And it would not have been if it wasn't for BO own words.

Mr M Coupe
I assume you did not get it was "an interview" and thought that he
brought it up of his own accord as your post stated.

if you did this deliberately you are a liar.
If not, I would not call it a lie, just did not understand it was not his
choice to bring it up, but someone else's.

I care little about your motives and much about what actually happened.

everyonesfacts
You are getting far too knit picky for me. I feel like I'm taking to a Clinton. You are trying to parse everything I say down to the last syllable. This is just getting tedious. I already told you, I don't care about the lapel pin. I don't care who brought it up first. I posted the quote from BO on the subject for you to read for yourself. You can accept the words of Obama or not. I can't help you understand that BO made the pin an issue. If he didn't want people to talk about this subject, than he shouldn't have said anything about it, but he did. As for me, I am done talking about this dead end topic with you. I hope you have a good evening.

Obama
God help this country from Barack Obama.

chillers
Just one quick question. Are you willing to take that passion and put into the McCain campaign where it will make a difference?

Savage99
Thank you sir! I appreciate your comment to me. :-)

ONCE OBAMA IS OUT OF THIS RACE
THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE IM GOING WITH MY PASSION! RIGHT TO MCCAIN! FIRST THINGS FIRST! OBAMAS GOT TO GO!

chillers
Just how are you going to get rid of BO? I think that's a Democratic matter. At this point I can't see anyway possible that BO is going to loose now can you?

chillers
1. chill

2. see the Moyers interview of Wright to complicate your conclusions

3. Wright will be at the National Press Club tomorrow.
C-Span should carry the event - hopefully more than once.

BO says tax the rich
I keep hearing from the Dems about Bush and his tax cuts for the rich. What do the numbers say? In 1999 the top 10%(AGI 87K+) paid 66% of federal income tax, in 2005 the top 10%(AGI 103K+) paid 70%. We know that Bush cut some taxes so why is it not reflected in the percentages? Could it be because more Americans moved into higher tax brackets? Is this a bad thing? Who exactly is the middle class? I would like to know. Is it folks that make between 30 and 60K? Well we only account for 28% of taxes paid. The top 25% 65K+ paid a mere 86%. Explain to me how this is so unfair to the middle class. By the way the top 5%, 365K+ paid over 39%. Do you think someone is trying to keep our eye off the ball??

Salena Zito- A "Twilight Zone" Column?!?

Zito: “This nation has a history of looking closely at its candidates and taking their measure before they vote for them. It is a process that Obama shuns and rival Hillary Clinton thrives on -- and therein lies the problem for Democrats.”

That is laughable beyond absurdity. Hillary “thrives” on being scrutinized and looked at closely? There’s not enough room in this Thread to list all the deceit and records we won’t EVER see from Clinton.

~~~
Zito: “Obama, who leads both in pledged delegates and in the popular vote, cannot close the gap with lunch-pail Democrats, older voters and (for lack of a better term) white people.”
Here’s a “better term”: *white democrats*. That’s much more accurate, since he’s THEIR party’s candidate. It’s hardly fair to tar-and-feather conservative white people who wouldn’t vote for Obama even if he was running unopposed...
~~~

Zito: “Voters also are finally realizing they really want to know what “change” is. Is it 73 cents more in your pocket, or does it have an economic-stability package attached to it?”

If it’s a government “package”, especially a liberal democrat “package”, the best POSSIBLE outcome is 73 cents LESS in your pocket. That’s *best case*, as in *fantasy best case*.

~~~
Zito: “Obama came out of Pennsylvania looking like an elitist who can't live up to his rhetoric of bringing people together; he never showed the compassion for policy solutions that Hillary demonstrated.”
Removing “absolutely nothing” from the pool of available responses, what in the WORLD does showing “compassion for policy solutions” mean in?
~~~

Zito: “As reported many times over, many Democrats, inside the Washington Beltway or in the Heartland, hope for an Obama-Clinton ticket.”

The horror… the horror…

~~~
Zito: “Yet to win in the fall, Obama needs Clinton more than Clinton needs him.”
If he’s counting on Clinton to help ANYONE besides CLINTON, then he might as well just quit now!
chillers
until the dims decide he is damaged goods nothing else matters. He may win the nomination. The left has enough kool aide drinkers who buy into the victim mythology that will continue to support his run and to soothe their conscience over supposed sins of the past. '
the general election is where reality will set in. His leftist ideas and his status quo ideas of tax and spend will likewise doom him.
But the thing that will finish him off is his elitist attitude, his associations with wright and ayers and resko. His angry and spoiled wife combined with combined attitude of bitterness and entitlement will make them totally unappealing.
But it still remains to be seen if he can get the nomination. Despite protestations of the left I find it difficult to believe the party will back the oblahma knowing who will support him but who opposes him. That he has the black vote locked up is one thing. That he has alienated middle america and working class folks is a whole different situation.
The presidentcy can be won without the black vote. It cannot be won without support from white working folks
For lack of a better term
"Obama...cannot close the gap with lunch-pail Democrats, older voters and (for lack of a better term) white people."
Yes, and with six months between now and November, there's no telling what other skeletons will jump out of Obama's closet. It's only going to get (for lack of a better term) worse.
chillers
I have maintained for some time that the dims are not about to turn over the party to their favorite victim group. The powers that run the dims know they need the black vote to win elections but I don't see them sharing power with that minority.
From a vantage point of policy differences there is none between the missus clinton and the oblahma. But there are still many who remained enchanted with the oblahma. Between now and denver many things will happen. The clinton's are not about to give up either and will wage continual warfare against the oblahma.
But the arrogant fool has played into her hands by refusing to debate. He claims we already know about him and his positions. But the msm has not fully vetted him and now his buddies wright, ayers and rezko are changing the dynamics.
But the threats of civil insurrection may unnerve the dims to oppose the oblahma. The dims have long painted the repubs as the party of racists but it appears the dims can'tr move beyond identity politics and are particularly sensitive to the black vote.
But let the war wage on
Momentum Ended With Wright
Wright's sermons, William Ayers the the Weather Underground, Tony Rezko, and other unsavory characters drove a nail into Obama's tires. Whatever momentum Obama had ended with these disclosures. Quite simply, there is absolutely NO WAY he can convince America to trust him implicitly between now and November. Impossible. Yes, Hillary is a liar, we've known that for very many years. Obama has a wide range of extremely radical people in his circle; people we don't trust, people we wouldn't ourselves associate with. Obama has a better chance of earning our trust in 2012, but certainly not now. I think, like it or not, Hillary is the only sane choice the superdelegates can make if they seriously consider winning in November.
Chillers, Chill Out, We're Cool
No need for all caps anymore, more Americans than you know feel exactly like us. The media is still trying to pump Obama up to make him look like he's still a viable candidate, that's also why they have been pushing Hillary to get out, so the questions about his associations would have time to die down a little and be forgotten. The superdelegates are afraid of blacks rioting if they don't get their candidate nominated, so they don't want to vote against Obama. On the other hand, the whole point of superdelegates is to WIN in November, and they know Obama's chances in November against McCain are incredibly thin.
In November, in the privacy of the voting booth, people are going to vote for the candidate they trust with supreme power; that won't be Obama. When we think of Obama becoming POTUS, the hairs on the backs of our necks stand up too, so just chill, lots of people echo your thoughts; they are called The Silent Majority. This is the same group that rallied to put Bush back in for the 2nd round, Kerry left us no choice. Obama is a zillion times more dangerous to America than Kerry was. So just chill, we'll rally again.
Wildwest
Identity politics, victim hood in particular, is how they win. Hillary and Obama constantly remind everyone how much of a victim they are. Victims of everything from global warming to having to live during a Bush administration. The educational system they have so carefully crafted ensures the steady flow of victims into their "big tent". High School graduation statistics seem to show that their numbers may be growing at a faster pace.
Oh boy!
ok brick house...:-)
actually only reason i use caps is not becuase im mad i just use them because i can see the letters of type better where other people think im mad!! lol! im not and i enjoyed hearing from you......
everything you said was 100% correct so i guess i'll wait for all the news on this tomorrow!! should be great drama to say the least!!
everyonesfacts, Reality Check Please!!!!
Obama could not explain during the debate why he does not wear the lapelle pin (except the poor orchestrated disabled vet. giving him one to wear - and nobody got fooled by that staged moment). Also, Obama was enrolled twice by his mother in indonesia as a muslim - this is public information, one school was catholic the other one was a muslim school. In both schools he was registered as a muslim. His mother was atheist but his father was muslim. His step-siblings are muslim. His asian sister is muslim. His step father who raised him is muslim. He now attends a church that is led by Wright (though retired he is still head pastor). Wright's Black Liberation Theology is closely linked to Nation of Islam (view Wrights's visits to Liby and work with Farakhan). Obama has supported Farakhan's million man march, which was planned by Nation of Islam. His views about muslim prayer (that he participated in - and only muslims are allowed to do so - is that it's the most beautiful sound. He can recite it for you as he did growing up when he was openly muslim. Now, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like/or is named like a duck (hussein). It really is a duck. But then again, being muslim would not fit with his agenda to be president - just like having wright at his announcement he is running for president did not. Obama may fool some people, some of the time but not everyone all of the time. Americans have his number!
The inexprienced dream ticket - LOL!
Democrats have a double problem. First, convince either one of their candidates to take the other as VP so that they can unite the party. This is key because their supporters prefer McCain to their primary opponent by 19-25% (a margin large enough to tilt the presidency). Second, convince america that two inexperienced people are qualified to correct ALL THE PROBLEMS Bush has created in the last 8 years. The first problem may be solvable considering both Hussein and Hillary really want to be president. The second problem is unsolvable. Why? Americans may agree with democrats that Bush has made BIG mistakes (whatever the spin they will use) but they will be unable to convince americans that two unqualified, inexperienced people can be trusted to fix these problems. Especially when they are running against (to quote Hillary) McCain 'a great american with a great american story to tell'. It's not just that the two candidates are inexperienced and unqualified, it's that their personalities when combined make McCain a much better choice because McCain has not annoyed as many demographics as both of these candidates have. Let's not discuss comparing Cindy McCain with either Bill Clinton (first man with moral issues) or Michelle Obama (first angry black woman to vie for the position of first lady). ITS A BIG DISASTER FROM ALL ANGELS.....Dean has really aged. FYI - if these two can't figure out how to count votes in FL and MI, how can they figure out global level problems? McCain will make this an issue.
Who Connects with Obama?
Wright. Ayers. Rezko. and the list is longer but we will reserve the right to complete it another time. The point being, Obama's associates are unnerving at best. In a general election, he will not get away with calling them 'distractions'. Why? His thin resume made him frame his campaign as an issue of 'sound judgement' and not 'experience'. Sound judgement can not hinge on a speech he gave about Iraq in 2002. Since he lacks any big policy development or influence both as an IL senator or US senator, the other argument has been 'experience earned as a community organizer not in the halls of congress' as Ms. Oprah explained. Unfortunately, his associates as a community organizer are very very scary. ALL Americans will find it difficult to understand why Obama has picked this list of people to be a part of his close circle or work associates. Of all the people he could have picked, he picked these nut cases far left america hating radicals who range from angry, lunatic pastors who believe AIDS was developed by whites and govt. to kill blacks to Ayers an unrepentant terrorist. McCain may not attack Wright as a mentor but he will go after Ayers as part of his 'defending america' against it's enemies domestic and local. By the time we are done with the general election - Obama will be lucky to get re-elected as senator again.
What does obama owe his friends?
Considering that his pastor/mentor Wright is very engaged with american foreign policy (including visiting Libya and distributing Hamas bulletins in church). And Rezko the syrian businessman who did business with Saddam's regime gave obama's the 625K plot making it possible for them to purchase their dream home. And Wright still believes that his acts of terror were justified as a means to protest our foreign policy - and thinks they did not do enough - after bombing 3 buildings including the pentagon. Americans must wonder, what Obama owes these few 'good men'. After all, Rezko's 625K gift could not have been for altruistic reasons. And Wright's recent comments about 'Obama needing to do and say what he needs to as a politician' implies everything we hear from Barak is not kosher (no pun. intended). And, Ayers may finally be able to use his friendship with Barak, to do more than they did. Only this time instead of bombs, he will support Barak's idea of taxing americans to death to fund the UN so that the money can be redistributed to Africa and Middle East in the name of 'eradicating poverty'. Does Barak think americans are stupid?
Obama's Mission Impossible
1. Convince americans that his lack of experience is 'not an issue' when picking a president.
2. Convince americnas that discussing his list of associates i.e. Wright, Ayers, Rezko is a 'distruction' from the real issues.
3. Convince americans that his real issues i.e. hiking taxes for ALL americans is the right thing to do, even if americans are already earning less when adjusted for inflation. ' i realize you are earning less, but I want to take more of your money'.
4. Convince americans while he realizes that raising dividend taxes impacts 100 million people, and decreases govt. revenues, it is still the 'change we can believe in'.
5. Convince 71% of americans who currently oppose a nationalized health care plan, it is still the 'change we can believe in'.
6. Convince americans that while govt. has failed in managing social security, education and medicare. It will do better once it adds a 'national health care plan' to it's list of responsibilities.
7. Convince americans that his wife who believes that america has 'lost it's soul and is just down right mean' will represent this country in a positive light to foreigners and other dignitaries.
8. Convince americans that while 'experience' is not an important factor when picking a president, it is an important factor when picking a cabinet and other members of his administration.
9. Convince americans that an unexpected pregnancy is a 'punishment' and explain why a featus that survives abortion should not be given any medication.
10. Convince americans who believe in God, Gun ownership and enforcing immigration laws - that they are just bitter and frustrated because of their economic conditions. And as soon as he gives them all the perks of an Obama presidency courtesy of tax payers, they will not longer need to cling to God and Guns or fear people who do not look like them.
11. Explain that Ayers like Wright has been misunderstood because both these men are really great americans.
I am Sick of the Middle Class
Yesterday, Obama defined those earning in the 60"s to 70's as hurting middle class. They are hanging on every word of pols like welfare queens, even though they are some of the richest people in the world. I often wonder how their whining plays in Bagdad.
So what is their p;roblem? They must be overpaid and uncompetitive. They should study the government programs for the poor before they sign on.
If politics is not the answer to their economic insecueiry, entrepreneuship is. From experience I think of unemployment not as a jobs problem but a shortage of entrepreneurs that create jobs. Of course, they need capital and that can be hurt or helped by tax policy. I envision a day when unions stop running companies into bankrupcy and offshoring. Instead of wasting their money on politics, they would help workers buy the companies. First, however, they probably need to stop insisting that everyone get the same pay and instead allow the develop;ment of managerial talent in the ranks.
Sarah
Bingo. Couldn't have said it any better. Thanks for your post.
I might add only one additional item:
Convince Americans that your judgement to stay in Jeremiah Wright's congregation and absorb 20+ years of his sermons was a sound decision because you were able to square Wright's preaching about what Jesus taught with that of what Black Liberation Theology teaches based on what you have read in the Bible.
and he never will......
running against Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, MSM, Senator John Mccain, The Clinton Machine, the Republican Machine, 527's, just to name a few.
White America is a joke, and while folks all around the world watch as you destroy a viable American with integrity because of the color of his skin, will have a blowback effect like none America has ever seen.
You are not the most powerful America that you use to be, your conservative President has sold us down the river, and the various overseas entities have very little respect for us as a nation. Now we continue to disgrace ourselves by dividing this country, polarizing this country because White America does not like to share. They think that a White American is the only one that can run this crooked country. That a White American is the only one with the skills to put a winning team together. But what White America does not realize is that they are not the Equalizer, GOD IS THE GREAT EQUALIZER.
White America pay very close attentino to GOD.
Get Real America....
White Americans hate America. If not then why would you allow this country to sell its soul to the Communist to support his personal war. We all know that Saddam was on the verge of coming off the dollar. If he would have done that it would have had the same effect on America as allowing Bears and Stearn to collapse. You people believe anything and follow anyone, even a clown like G. W. Bush who needs to be impeached.
Yes, White Americans hate themselves, that is the behavior that abusive people have. White Americans do not like White Americans, unless it is against another race, then they cling together lock step.
Then you still using the experience game, but then you might be correct, he does not have experience lying to the American people.
Scott
Good perceptive analysis of Ms Zito's column.
Oh no not again
And who do you hate? Just another drive-by poster. Barrack has been lying to the American people all along and now that they have found out he is in big trouble.
Obama Will Win
Much wishful hoping on these boards that Obama is fatally harmed. He has a very large cadre of committed supporters who will NOT be swayed by any questionable associations or his lack of experience. These people vote with their emotions and Obama fulfills all of their dreams about the "hero on the white horse" thundering in to make everything right. This is not about race (except for the black community who will provide their usual blind support to the Dem candidate), but about IMAGE. Obama is the perfect candidate for the 40% of our population who are looking for a magical father figure to make all of their problems go away.
Also, count on Richardson being the VP candidate to help pull in the critical Hispanic voting bloc. Just look, Richardson is already meeting with crazy Hugo (Chavez) as the first step in Obama's policy of meeting with our enemies.
The far left in this country has done a magnificant job of taking over the public education system and "brainwashing" our youth into seeking just such an emotionally idealized, far left candidate.
Get used to it, the far left has won. Welcome to the Socialist States of America.
"Obama could not explain during the debate why he does not wear the lapel pin (except the poor orchestrated disabled vet. giving him one to wear - and nobody got fooled by that staged moment)."
I guess I am missing something he has explained
the pin several times including yesterday on
Fox. Again, who cares (I guess you!)
"Also, Obama was enrolled twice by his mother in indonesia as a muslim etc. etc."
Now in America you can choose one's religion.
And Obama has.
"He now attends a church that is led by Wright (though retired he is still head pastor)."
So you know he is not a Muslim. Why did you
mention it earlier?
"Wright's Black Liberation Theology is closely linked to Nation of Islam (view Wrights's visits to Liby and work with Farakhan)."
It is?
Please show.
"Obama has supported Farakhan's million man march, which was planned by Nation of Islam."
He went as an observer. That can be seen as
a form of support. Of course, the March was
more than support of Farrakhan if you're old
enough to remember. Many in the March did not
like or support Farrakhan at all. There is a
Spike Lee joint on it, Get on the Bus if you are
interested in seeing a variety of participants.
Actually the March focused on what would be
considered Conservative principles of fatherhood.
But anyways . . .
Your second check
"His views about muslim prayer (that he participated in - and only muslims are allowed to do so - is that it's the most beautiful sound.) He can recite it for you as he did growing up when he was openly muslim."
Yes, it can be beautiful - some are most aren't
imo. I've heard about 20-30 different calls.
I like most Gospel music, but prefer pop
and rock.
I don't think his family was ever very religious.
Nor was Indonesia. Remember this is before 1979.
"Now, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like/or is named like a duck (hussein). It really is a duck."
Except you said he goes to church.
You also seem to think there is a close link
between the Nation of Islam and Islam - there
isn't.
"But then again, being muslim would not fit with his agenda to be president - just like having wright at his announcement he is running for president did not. Obama may fool some people, some of the time but not everyone all of the time. Americans have his number!"
This guy thinks long term!
Are you quoting Obama, "The American people are
smarter than that"
I think you're being too smart by half.
Mission possible
Sarah writes:
Obama's Mission Impossible
"1. Convince americans that his lack of experience is 'not an issue' when picking a president."
And that judgment is more important.
"2. Convince americnas that discussing his list of associates i.e. Wright, Ayers, Rezko is a 'distraction' from the real issues."
Everything is in play in a Presidential election
but the war, economy, health, etc., etc. will
also play a large part, hopefully the biggest.
"3. "taxes"
He will increase pay roll taxes on those making
over $102,000. If you make under you will
probably get a tax cut.
"4. Convince americans while he realizes that raising dividend taxes impacts 100 million people, and decreases govt. revenues, it is still the 'change we can believe in'."
Impacts is a good word.
It might decrease government revenues.
It will only affect those that trade or cash in
their stocks.
401Ks unless cashed in early will not be affected
- that is your 100m #. The real # who will be
affected are a few million.
This is not to say I agree with the policy.
But at least know what will happen.
"5. Convince 71% of americans who currently oppose a nationalized health care plan, it is still the 'change we can believe in'."
Actually something like 66% support a plan like
Obama's which does not qualify as "nationalized
health care"
"6. Convince americans that while govt. has failed in managing social security, education and medicare. It will do better once it adds a 'national health care plan' to it's list of responsibilities."
How has it failed on social security?
Not yet.
Doing #3 above will keep the system solvent till
what 2040, 2050?
Mission Possible II
"7. Convince americans that his wife who believes that america has 'lost it's soul and is just down right mean' will represent this country in a positive light to foreigners and other dignitaries."
Why, doesn't she like them better. lol.
"8. Convince americans that while 'experience' is not an important factor when picking a president, it is an important factor when picking a cabinet and other members of his administration."
So is judgment.
"9. Convince americans that an unexpected pregnancy is a 'punishment' and explain why a fetus that survives abortion should not be given any medication."
Could have been better worded. But listen
to the rest of answer and see Obama talk policy.
His answer on the abortion is very logical if
one believes in abortion.
"10. Convince americans who believe in God, Gun ownership and enforcing immigration laws - that they are just bitter and frustrated because of their economic conditions."
Why does everyone think this is about them
If you are bitter and cling to guns and God
it was about you, if not, it wasn't.
"11. Explain that Ayers like Wright has been misunderstood because both these men are really great americans."
That's why he deplores his actions.
These posts prove why Hillary
doesn't have to be smart - just shrewd. So now the Golden Boy just doesn't resonate with "Middle Class America." But Hillary does?
Obama, for whatever else you can say about him, has a healthy marriage and a healthy family life, and does not have a pathological need to control everyone else's life.
Hillary, on the other hand, is so megalomaniacally convinced that SHE is always right that she will do anything, stopp to anything, to get elected.
Good luck, America. With Hillary as President, you're going to need it.
