Never Count Out the Clintons

Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

The first rule of politics is, “Never count out the Clintons.” Their political conglomerate, Clinton Inc., is like Glenn Close in that bathtub scene in the movie “Fatal Attraction”: It always comes back to life a second or third time.

Polls, momentum and a string of losses tell the story of Hillary Clinton’s troubled candidacy -- but her history, tenacity and character tell another tale.

“Her past points to someone that can dig in. She is a real prizefighter,” says Charlie Gerow, a Pennsylvania-based GOP strategist. “Yes, she is down. Certainly, she is not out.”

Good campaigns have a plan, Gerow explains; excellent campaigns can change on the fly. “You will not see her rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic,” he adds. “When she said she was in it to win, I believed her. I still do.”

Part of the reason Clinton is not winning is that her political narrative has been defined by everyone else. In a large sense, her “brand” is not her own.

When an advertiser or strategist is selling something, whether a product or a candidate, brand is important. Think of it as a little index card in the brain that conjures up one or two images that define what or who a product or person is.

The initial image of Hillary is not that she is not Barack Obama, but is part of Bill Clinton.

“The question for Hillary is, what can she put on that index card in voters’ brains that is going to make a difference for her in the stretch?” wonders media strategist John Brabender, who makes his living branding candidates, mostly Republicans.

The first thing Hillary should do, in Gerow’s mind, is to get out from under the shadow of both Bill Clinton and Obama, and just be herself. “My advice to Hillary would be, if you want to start winning, fight the battle … on your terms and your message.”

Both Gerow and Brabender agree that it is not just her brand that she needs to shake up; it is the expectations game.

Primaries are fueled by two things, momentum and expectations. Right now, the metrics by which Obama is winning put both expectations and momentum on steroids -- a hard battle for any opponent to go against.

In the past, the Clinton campaign masterfully set expectations low for her and high for Obama. When she beat her own artificially low expectations or Obama did not meet the artificially high expectations that the media had adopted, he got no momentum for winning -- or less than he should have.

Think Super Duper Tuesday, when most observers walked away thinking no clear winner resulted.

But Obama’s recent string of wins has defied metrics and expectations. That is a problem for Hillary’s expectations game plan.

Gerow reminds us, however, that Hillary Clinton is tactically smart: “If she can take a breath, adjust, and re-evaluate the circumstances she is facing, Hillary can push back on her losses.

“No one should pine for her right now. This thing is still very much in play.”

Brabender, who faced his own branding challenges in strategizing for Pennsylvania’s former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum in 2006, says Clinton faces a real dilemma about going negative.

With limited time left and polling numbers dictating what a candidate is going to do, she may be inclined to try to push Obama’s brand toward the negative.

“If the ads start to become, ‘You know the real Hillary Clinton, but you do not know the real Barack Obama,’ she is taking on a certain amount of risk,” he explains.

That risk is that people may start to turn on the messenger instead of the message.

But Brabender does not see her having much of a choice. “The Clintons are pretty savvy political animals. They know what to do. I would personally not be shocked that she comes up with the conclusion that it is time to take the gloves off.”

Whether it is an attempt to re-brand herself, to cast a negative brand on Obama or to re-mix the expectations, you’d be making a fatal error to call this race a done deal.

Texas Republicans should do what on 3/4
So who should Texas Republicans vote for in the up coming primary? It’s an open primary and I’m tempted to vote for Obama just for the sheer enjoyment of seeing Hilary go down. (I know that is bad, but just give me this one guilty pleasure) On the other hand if the Democrats keep tearing themselves apart, maybe we should just vote for Hilary to keep this thing going on right up to the convention.

No, vote for Hillary-here's why

========================================
Absolutely NOT!! Vote for Hillary and defeat Obama who is the harder opponent for McCain.

After Obama is defeated blacks wil be very angry and deprssed, and many will believe Hillary stole the nomination- and stay home in November.

that means Hillary has to run as a democrat without Black voers-You know what that means?

A landslide for Republicans in November and a good chance to take back the senate and house PPSA: Obama is a true radical-google Obama and william Ayers and Bernadinbe Dohrn if you want an eye open on this phony half white man, who is also part arab and chinese who is running on being the first "black" President..only one thing wrong with that: he aint black-just dirty and dishonest.

This chick Salena Zito is completely
spaced. In fact, a lot of you conservatives are drinking your own bathwater.

Not only is Barack beating Clinton, he is doing it without seeming to break a sweat. The same Obama MOVEMENT that is currently trampling Hillary is the same Obama movement that will trample McCain. Some of you are so deluded. You have these fantasies of Hillary rising like Dracula. She is in sunlight right now. Sunlight is on her skin. She's screaming; the garlic is out; the stake & crucifix are ready. Let her die in peace without all this TH "commentary".

I've heard several prominent conservatives now say that they've never seen anything like the Obama movement in 40 years. He is like a force of nature, he creates his own oxygen. When he is on a roll, the rhetoric is more freeing & inspirational than MLK & JFK. No wonder Ted & Caroline want to be a part of this moment in history.

Winning strategy for Mrs. Clinton
If she really wants to win, she should jettison her husband as publicly and as obviously as possible. She should announce her divorce at a press conference, repudiate Bill, and go after Obama in the next breath.

It is go for broke time. Mrs. Clinton should fire everyone in sight and slam hard on real concrete programs with which she really agrees, and she should say "This presidency will not be Bill's Presidency, it will be mine, and I intend to first protect this country, get solid programs that make sense, and clean up the government. I will remember that I don't owe the Congress anything, I owe the country everything."

If she boldly spoke the truth of what she knows as a Senator, openly explained what she saw a problems both domestic and foreign in all kinds of venues, she could put Obama on the run, but she has to speak to us as adults.

One comprehensive and forthright speech would do it, and the she would show she is ready to face down a Republican opponent on equal terms. It would be and could be a real barn burner.

She needs to lose the tears, dump the cackle, and get down to business. The divorce announcement would amount to a declaration of war. We'd know she means it. Up to now it's been little theater.

If she wants to win, she'd better get a move on. These few things would be so convincing, it would throw everybody into apoplexy.

Sure would be fun to watch, and she might just have a chance of pulling it off.

I am not so sure...
I personally believe Hillary is simply just an obvious snob. It is for this reason she is beginning to lose her favoured status. In the beginning of the campaign she was the front-runner for her party simply because of name recognition. However, the more the camera highlighted her personality, the other candidates were a bit more palatable.

Her negative numbers have been high since the campaign started and the fact those numbers never changed is quite significant.
On the other hand, most humans are easily herded and with the influence of television, radio and newspaper commentary about the coming deliverance of our woes by the new saviour in a bottle, Barack Hussein Obama or is that a John F. Kennedy-Abraham Lincoln love child?
I think he is rather reminiscent of Chance the Gardener. Waving his magic wand, dropping his platitudes and capitalizing on his semi-negroid looks leaving his opposition in the untenable position of being labeled racist for any disagreement. Wait until the media starts heaping that guilt trip on the masses of undecided voters.

Bottom line: Hillary is just not a likable person, woman, candidate or wife of Monica Lewinsky's ex-boyfriend.

Be great if every Texas Republican will
... go out and vote for Missus Cli'ton.

And send the dead, decadent and degenerate "Democrats" divided to their Denver dog-fight.

After all, the Ludicrous Left, via its Goebbels-esque media wing, selected the "Republican" candidate -- and we owe it the closest we can get to returning the compliment.

That much, surely, is Black and White.

cornpone harry
No offense, my friend, but McCain has no chance against either Obama or Clinton. McCain's nomination was manufactured by the MSM and now that he's a lock, they've already turned on him. The MSM will destroy McCain during the campaign for POTUS.

McCain is a doddering old fool whose record of liberal legislation and love of illegal aliens will result in his defeat.

I'm an independant and am in the unenviable position of constantly waiting until the primaries are done and then voting for the lesser of two evils. There was nobody to vote FOR this year in the primary and there is no lesser evil this election.

Thought this was a parody
I thought this was meant to be funny-
Hillary always fights back?-- she disappeared after HillaryCare.

She's so smart?? - She flunked DC bar exam, married and passed in Arkansas- at which time most of what she did she got the opportunity because she was the Governor's wife-

Remember the cattle futures- if she had be smart enough to make those herself and honestly, she would have continued in the Futures Market.

If she had not been Bill's wife, she would not have been on the board of Walmart, (and there is no record that she contributed anything of substance there).

And as a lawyer, she set up a scandalous contract for those poor old Whitewater investors. Oops, and she let others go to prison for that.

As Governor's wife she took on Arkansas education, and it slipped from midrange stats to 49th in nation.

Come on, when the going gets tough, she shifts blame, when it gets really hot, she disappears.

Fun article, till I realized it was meant to be serious.

The reason
you don't want to count hillary out!
Her and bubba(cackle & slick) will do anything, and i do mean anything to get the "super" delegates to raise her name up at the convention.

Those delegates will abide by the clinton gang's rule of "law". Which includes bribery, investigations for misconduct and maybe "accidents".
They do not have any limitations.

Note the headline
Never Count out the Clintons (plural)

Not never count out Clinton ( singular),

is this the 2 for 1?

She Didn't Have FBI Files For Nothing
Don't count her out yet. She probably did not have a file on Obama but did so on other important people, who can help her cause. Just think Hillary, if you had a file on Obama, your life would be so much easier. She has until March 4, Texas and Ohio, to unload all of the dirt on Obama. If she doesn't have anything significant, she is fini. Who will spill the dirt if available? She seems to have lost most of the Hillary lovers on the networks to Obama. The NYT shot its wad using the McVain story. Dan Rather and Mary Mapes are no longer around to clue us in. My guess is that the dirt will find its way anonymously to less suspect news sources who will publish the dirt because it may be real. She hasn't spent 100 million for nothing.

Bob C.
You are correct that John Mccain has been a MSM darling. Before the 2000 election, especially. They loved to ride his "Straight Talk Express".That was when he was railing against G.Bush.The love affair went on until McCain spoke up for the war in Iraq. That cooled their passion except when he disagreed with the president. The MSM agreed almost totally with McCain, except his support for the war.
Now,if there is ANYTHING conservatives despise more than liberals,it the ultra-liberal Mainstream Press. If ANYTHING will bring conservatives to McCain's defense, that is it. We are suspicious of anything they say or do.They are trying to manipulate this election cycle.Conservatives will not allow that.

Terminating the Clintons
I've had trouble with the last couple columns by Zito but this one's a reliable winner.

Whatever their public facade, the klintoons are relentlessly power mad, who once having had power, are driven to reclaim what they feel is rightfully theirs. And for them, expedience is the word as they will do anything it takes in their quest.

Given all her botox treatments, Madam klintoon knows her face will have fallen off in four years. She isn't content as a Senator so it's scorched earth as to preserving her future political viability.

Even if she hasn't the delegates at the convention, the klintoons will make every back room move to get the nomination.

As Elvis belted it out, it's now or never.

So, Will
You seem to be an Obama supporter. What, exactly, is his plan, other than the audacity of hope? I'll grant the man his soaring rhetoric, but I haven't heard him really say anything of any substance. What little I can decipher sounds like warmed-over socialism/fascism. True?

Chelsea Next?
Even if Mrs. Bill Clinton is eliminated in this round, have you stopped to consider that daughter Chelsea may have some reconstructive surgery so that she won't look so scary and emerge in a few years as the candidate? This saga may never end!

Think of Manchurian Candidate

Can you see Hillary in the role played by Angela Lansbury in the original Manchurian Candidate?

Everyone knows Hillary is Social Fascist
Barack is the same or worse. I think it's great he's giving her the run of her life. She was a shoe in in liberal NY, but he's out liberaling her so she's in a real race now. Maybe the Clintons will give up and move to Canada or Venezuela or something.

Read This Classic
Google "The Audacity of Hopelessness" by Frank Rich, which appears in this morning's NYT (2-24). Contrasts Hillary's mismanaged mess of a failing campaign with Obama's professional one "that runs like a well-oiled machine" (the so-called empty suit has turned out to be extremely competent). Ends by saying that Hillary's campaign has been run as badly as Bush's war but that after spending money so wildly ($1200 for donuts just in January) Hillary may not now have the money to mount a Surge.

Sawdust
If you haven't heard Obama say anything it's because you haven't been listening. Half an hour ago I was reading in two different newspapers (one Democrat, one Republican) that his recent speeches tend to turn into theses with so much substantive and lengthy detail that some of the audience wanders away. Also his website gives infinite detail of what he would like to do. Also in the debate with HC the other night he readily provided clear evidence of both knowledge and preparation.

The Brainless Multitudes mostly just repeat something they've heard, especially if it's in a cute phrase like Cut & Run or Empty Suit, and they tend to run a little bit behind the times. If you are a conservative Republican in love with war and in hate with your government, you probably have valid reason not to like Obama who is, after all, a liberal Democrat (we are a two-party country). We can all respect that difference. But if you say he is nothing but empty words, you just give away the fact that you're not paying attention or thinking very much. The buzz now is not that Obama is empty but that he is turning out to be extremely competent.

PS: In your dreams, did you ever think a relative political unknown could smash Hillary and the Clinton machine, a feat which Obama seems to be doing? So much for being "all words".

Obama is an empty suit
He has no leadership or executive experience.

In the IL legislature, he voted "present" over a 100 times (from John Edwards, not exactly a right-wing critic), and even then, he entered into the legilative record many times that he did not mean to vote as he did because he didn't understand the issue. Real smarts there.

He has only three years in the US Senate, and currently isn't even there to vote "present."

Obama has no signature legislation in either body.

Obama has no "program" that isn't right out of 19 C. socialism. He has no military experience, and his anti-war status is just post-WW I pacifism, that led the world into WW II after the anti-war 30s in America and Europe.

Obama says he's a "uniter," but Bush tried being a uniter. He kept Tenet at the CIA and Mineta at Transportation--and what did he get from them? Tenet said Iraq was a "slam dunk" and Mineta gave us airport security that searches old ladies and not young Muslims. And did Daschle or Reid or Pelosi give Bush any credit? No, the left has always acted like an enemy in our own Congress.

Obama will only "unite" leftists who already agree with him. I don't see any indication that he would want compromise with Republicans. Dems. only want bipartisanship when they get what they want: No Child Left Behind from Ted Kennedy that has made Bush an object of hatred by the educational lefties and a failed immigration "reform" bill that just wanted to ignore illegals and give everyone amnesty and Social Security.

Ding, dong, the witch is dead
Zito carries on about Mrs. Clinton's tenacity, but that's as much a myth as her experience.

Bill Clinton never got as much as 50% of the popular vote when he ran for President. And he has charm and charisma. What has Hillary got besides 900 FBI clearance files?

Hillary's problem is that the backroom arm-twisting party politics that are her and her husband's strength have no effect on 20 million voters participating in primaries. She only has 900 files, not 20 million. And the files she's got are mostly on Republicans who can't help her get her party's nomination. And even those files are out-dated.

The truth is that the Clintons wore out their welcome, even with the left, long ago. People on the left have been looking for someone else for years. Someone they could support who would defeat the Clintons so they wouldn't have to fear retribution from the Clintons.

The Clintons' only strength was their power; the fear that they invoked in anyone who crossed them. But that power, and the fear that goes with it, is impotent if the missus can't beat a first term Senator for the nomination.

Nobody wants the Clintons anymore. Even Democrat Party leaders who feign support for them.

The witch is melting. Soon she will be dead.

Lilly
To someone of low intelligence, like you, he appears smart.

But he does not know how the economy works and very very little about world affairs.

He is as described, an empty suit.

Being glib of tongue is like an empty sack.

Right on LinnieBeth
At last someone points out the truth.
1. Hillary failed the bar exam.
2. She made a mint in a record short time in cattle futures.
3. She "lost" her Whitewater files, which mysteriously appeared in the WH living quarters. Why the Rose Firm didn't have them is a mystery.
4. Her "work" for Arkansas education dropped it to 49 out of 50.
5. "HillaryCare" was done behind closed doors it was so important to the country and near and dear to her.
6. They did not own a house until their friend bought one for them on their way out of the WH. Now they are multi-millionaires, thanks to Dubai and many shady deals.
7. They will not make their tax returns public.
8. When they left the WH they had lists at stores across the country to buy them gifts, ranging from furnishing to jewelry.
9. She says she has experience in "dealing with difficult men" and tears up about the "problems" she has faced in her life. If she had never married Bill Clinton, we would have never heard of her. She claims visiting countries as experience that we expect from the Secretary of State. Between the cackle, the tears, and the screaming into the microphone I am ready for the HillBillies to be HISTORY! How long are we to fawn over sociopathic white trash?

You Con Dreamers.....
John McCain is (AGAIN) running into financial problems. And this is when he has the republican nomination practically wrapped up.

Barack Obama is currently raising over a million dollars a day (between 40-50 million dollars a month). And this is with his nomination not yet clinched. Imagine the donations pouring in after March 4th, after he severely disables Clinton's candidacy.

How can John McCain compete against this financial juggernaut? (if Obama has $200 million to spend for the general & McCain has a tenth of that, can McCain still pull it off? Most of the conservative base is not donating to his campaign & is only voting reluctantly).

To say nothing of the 45-year-old age difference between the candidates. This is gonna get extremely interesting. Mostly for dems, I'm afraid.

I see that b*stard Ralph Nader is announcing another bid to run on "Meet the Press".

Clintons political machine
In my opinion, the first rule of politics, is that most politicians will do or say whatever is necessary to get elected, the Clintons exemplify this to the extreme. The empty suit(pantsuit)label, just as easily applies to Hillary as it does to Obama, neither has strong credentials in executive level positions. As far as expectations, Hillary was cleary the presumptive Democratic nominee in the beginning, however, Obama's machine has easily out-flanked Hillary's machine in some very critical areas, grass-root support and message, the most dominant. The Clintons know how to scratch and claw, for sure, but, Obama is proving to be a crafty boxer who's tactics have him leading on all cards, Hillary will need to win the last few rounds over-whelmingly to take this prize-fight.

You seem very full of yourself, handing out "assignments" here on TH.

Not just handing them out; but INSULTING people first with your mediocre wit & style & then expecting an answer. Talk about the Audacity of Boorishness.

PS: Don't bother working up assignments for me either. I get a constant stream of credible news from both sides of the political spectrum & don't want to be sidelined with your partisan polemics.

Re-Brand To What?
HRC ran on experience she didnt have, ran as independent of the husband who her political fortunes have always been totally dependent on and always was trying to keep the policy stuff geared to whichever audience she was talking to. What can she offer now? Obamessiah has the hope and unity market cornered and the fact that they are both far to the left means that any debating of real policies is off the table. Re-branding nothing when its already clear that you're running against something is futile. This inferior candidate's only strategy was based on having no serious competition. That was wrong and now its too late.

SHE'S A PHONY
"Part of the reason Clinton is not winning is that her political narrative has been defined by everyone else. In a large sense, her “brand” is not her own."

THIS IS BECAUSE SHE IS COMPLETELY DISINGENUOUS AND PANDERS SO MUCH THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE THINKS OR WHAT SHE SAID THE LAST TIME AROUND. ALSO SHE IS a weathervane politician who doesn't take a stand until she gets the results of a poll.

Lets hope she is down and out this time and that we can get her out of the Senate next. Those of us in NY would love that....

You'll be rid of her when Obamassiah anoints her to Darth Vader Ginsburg's Supreme Court seat in a year or two and the esteemed Gov Spitzer appoints Al Sharpton to fill out the remainder of her term.

DON'T COUNT OUT THE CLINTONS
I used to be able to go on Google to find the long list of people that the Clintons mysteriously got rid of but it is gone- Hillary cleaned up Google. But the Clintons will do anything to get back in- I live near Denver and hope the Convention is a big spectacle of Hill meanness. Pathetic that a gathering of dems had to be here.......Is anyone else upset that the middle class has now been raised in Obama's and Clinton's mind to upper class status so that we can be taxed to pieces to take care of the welfare folks? When they talk about helping the middle class, most of us are not in it to them!!!....Obama is a socialist but I want to see the Clintons lose to him and that is a scary wish!!

Thanks Lilly
I wasn't sure which would be worse for the country, Clinton or Obama. Now that I find that Lilly is an Obama supporter it is clear. If a knee jerk liberal like her is for Obama, I'd have to back my girl Hillary.

Ohio, Texas and PA - - Vote for Obama!
How do Republicans in these key states make their votes meaningful? Simple: Vote for Obama in the primaries. "Registered Democrat" is a meaningless label...all you have to do is tell the election officer you want to vote Democratic.
Other than restricting votes for party nominations in state and local races, there is no downside to voting on the Democrat ballot in the primary. You can still vote all the issues and it doesn't matter at all in the general election how you voted in the primary. Best part is if you get asked by a polster what you're affiliation is, you can still tell em you are a Republican. What would be really cool is if the exit polls call it for Hillary but the actual results go to Obama because of crossover votes from Republicans!

A vote for Obama now is simply a vote against Hillary. Dispite her "negatives" Hillary is the bigger threat in November. Obama may get the "youth" vote, but his anti-defense and anti-business positions will be easier to expose and attack than Hillary's universal everything for everyone. Keeping her out of the White House should be our primary motivation for voting...in both the primary and the general election. If we can cut her off at the pass, it will give us a head of steam to puncture holes in the Obama balloon in November.

How do I dislike thee, Clintons?
... let me count the ways.
Shrillary IS a FLAMING liberal, but one of the Clintonista miscalculations was that especially as a woman 'Crat she had to appear tough, and libs can win when they pretend to be moderate (Slick Willie, Jimma' Carter). Her voting record CLEARLY places her among the most liberal Senators, and she was simply "moving right" on some votes which would have been more liberal still otherwise. Instead, Clinton fatigue turned off some libs... they had made enemies in THEIR crowd too. Their unbridled egos and elitist airs of entitlement surely grated also on many on the left.

Hildabeest also got terribly unlucky. The 'Crats desperately wanted to win the W. H. back... she was the MSM choice, so the libs rallied behind her as the presumptive favorite, until almost out of nowhere, a new liberal messiah surfaced who was even teflon-colored to boot.

Obama is one artful operator-- he has managed to say almost nothing specific, but has not been pressed on it or his #1 most liberal voting record or nonexistent relevant track record to be POTUS because he is playing a different hand. Seriously, if he were white, his candidacy would be a joke. But Presidente Jorge and Congress have stunk up Washington even more so than the usual nadir standards, so America is angry and hungry for "change." But really, where's the beef?!

Obama figures to beat Amnesty John-- two libs, but one has his crowd fired up while the other is angry that he backed into a nomination.

The sad thing about Lilly is
the fact that she even has a "hate speech" archive. Get a life woman--and I use the term loosely.
Zito's description of Hillary as the prize fighter made me invision how Bill has knocked her down and bloodied her with his sleazy affairs and she keeps getting back up to fight another fight. Think Rocky Balboa folks. Somehow I can't quite picture her with the winning "Rocky" theme song standing at the top of the stairs, arms raised in jubilation. She just doesn't fit the winning profile. She can never just be herself as Zito suggests. She is just too unlikable. Cackle, cackle.

The Clintons
It is just about time for the Clinton's to bring out the "big" guns (maybe literally).Everywhere you look she is being piled on.Who'da ever thunk it?I have waited almost twenty years for the tide (or worm)to turn for them.Whatever they were accused of..they and their "dirty dozen"(and more)hangers-ons ,all stuck together, and except for two or three times, they skated. They are a tough pair. They will fight"til the last dog dies".They will NOT give up.It will be wonderful to see just what lengths they will go to, to save their sorry butts. They have no scruples when their backs are against the wall.Somebody had better watch his back.

To Will the dreamer
Listen up, your Osama is a not a faith healer for America. You say proudly that Ted Kennedy the drunkard endorsed him and that is why your Messiah Osama lost MA? LOL Obama is nothing but hot air.

Obama: Man of substance,
speak to us on Iraq.

1. But what I do think is that the civilian leadership and the commander in chief has a responsibility to make sure that they have the plans that are going to allow our troops to succeed in their mission.

2. That's why I have a plan that will begin withdrawing our troops from Iraq on May 1st of this year, with the goal of removing all of our combat forces from the country by March of 2008.

3. Now, us having gone in there, we have a deep national security interest in making certain that Iraq is stable.

4. In terms of timetable, I'm not somebody who can say with certainty that a year from now or six months from now we're going to be able to pull down troops.

5. I have put forward a plan that will get our troops out by the end of 2009.

6. I believe that we should have all our troops out by 2013, but I don't want to make promises, not knowing what the situation's going to be three or four years out.

7. The idea that the situation in Iraq is improving is simply not credible, and it's not reflective of the facts on the ground.

8. I don't think any of us should be rooting for failure in Iraq at this point. This is no longer Bush's war, this is our war, and we all have a stake in it.

Barrack Obama said it.

Can someone tell me where he stands on this, or any other issue, for that matter? That is except for raising taxes on the rich and big oil.

Another Bill Clinton Story
Mark Steyn has a great reminder of how Bill entertained the masses when he was king.It is titled; "Obama Makes Hillary Look Like Bill Richardson".Check it out for some fun.It is today's column.I had forgotten about the subject, but enjoyed recalling it.Funny stuff.

Hilary Clinton - the "political animal"
The author presents excellent analogies in the context of this article; however she fails to present factual arguments. After reading the article, it is understood that Hilary Clinton is somewhat of a “prizefighter” who does not give up. I agree with the author on that matter, however if there were some historical facts about Hilary Clinton’s persistence, this article would have been more persuasive to the reader. Another strong point the author makes is that Hilary Clinton is not progressing in this election because she needs to create a “brand” of her own. Of course, when we think of Hilary Clinton we are going to think of her husband and former president, Bill Clinton – there is no way around that. I agree that she needs to create her own image, but how are we certain that this is the reason she is not ahead in the polls? Hilary Clinton is lacking something in her campaign, whether it is not having her own image or simply just not matching up to her opposing candidate. The author quotes John Brabender, a media strategist, who also agrees that Hilary Clinton is a “political animal.” After reading the end of this article it is clear that Clinton needs to do SOMETHING to remain in this race, it would not be surprising if she shocks the United States and races ahead in the polls. The fact of the matter is, this race is not over and Clinton is still very much in the running.
