Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Longtime congressional staffers Michael Brady and Michael Giuliani are fed up with reporters who cover Congress. Frustrated by their failure to investigate stories and tired of the liberal bias, Brady and Giuliani have vowed to make it right -- by becoming investigative journalists themselves.

The pair doesn’t have the resources -- not to mention the money -- of traditional Capitol Hill correspondents. But their desire to tell the untold truth about members of Congress fuels their new enterprise.

And something else drives Brady and Giuliani: a desire to see Democrats deal with the same scrutiny that faced Republicans in 2006.

Their week-old Web site, Majority Accountability Project, combines journalism and political activism -- a mixture that’s put many liberal blogs on the map. Brady and Giuliani said they saw a void in the center-right blogosphere. Many conservative bloggers consider themselves pundits, but shun the term “journalist” and don’t regard themselves as activists.

The Majority Accountability Project tries to emulate liberals’ success in using Internet messaging techniques to punish wrongdoing by their political opponents. Liberal Web sites have long aired damaging information about Republican office-holders. Eventually, the mainstream media picks up this information and uses it to bolster stories about GOP corruption. In 2006, this process so tarnished the Republican brand, it led to a GOP slaughter on Election Day.

“Last year,” Brady said, “dozens of organizations, blogs and Internet-based groups were engaged in comprehensive research on the Republican House majority -- poring over legislation, travel vouchers, FEC statements, and financial disclosures -- disseminating that information and, quite often, driving a great deal of the mainstream media coverage.”

Brady and Giuliani’s project will serve not only as an investigative channel for scoops on House Democrats, but also as a starting point for political activists in congressional districts across America. The Republican Party apparatus failed to engage many of those activists in 2006, leading to a huge disparity in online fundraising and a pathetically weak pushback on messaging.

With years of experience on Capitol Hill and the know-how to run a campaign, Brady and Giuliani are confident they can reverse this trend. Their credentials appear to justify the confidence. Both have served as chiefs of staff to members of Congress and have served stints at the GOP’s House and Senate campaign committees.

After only a week’s worth of work, Brady and Giuliani have already produced several solid stories that Washington’s established reporters never had interest in pursuing. For example, the Majority Accountability Projects has unearthed the scoop about soon-to-be ex-Rep. Marty Meehan’s exorbitant salary at the University of Massachusetts, freshmen Democrats’ embrace of an embattled lobbyist, Democrats’ financial support for defeated candidate Christine Jennings, and the National Democratic Club’s exception to D.C.’s smoking ban.

Their goal in breaking these stories isn’t just to generate bad publicity for congressional Democrats. Brady and Giuliani hope Capitol Hill reporters will begin to pay attention, leading to more stories. They also hope that state and local bloggers will circulate the information back home in their districts.

Congressional sources developed over their careers on Capitol Hill supply some of their scoops. And Brady and Giuliani also know where to look for information -- including some places that young reporters might not know exist.

But to keep their Web site humming with a steady supply of information, the duo realize they must have access to the same information available to the Capitol Hill press corp. Thus, Brady and Giuliani intend to apply for congressional press credentials -- a notoriously difficult process for anyone who falls outside the traditional definition of a reporter.

Yes, the Majority Accountability Project is a for-profit enterprise that will accept advertising -- prerequisites for securing credentials. But the duo’s part journalist/part activist function will certainly test the system. If victorious, they will likely clear a path for scores more citizen journalists.

While the Majority Accountability Project is only in its infancy, the Web site holds great potential as a pioneer in the online world. While most liberals will probably hate it, and some conservatives will complain about its support for Republicans, its model is one that others could emulate. As long as Brady and Giuliani stick to the facts and report the truth, they’ll be blazing a trail for news hounds on the Internet.

Hurrah for MAP
I have the MAP link on my blog site (click on name above to see). I agree totally with this article. We need more organizations like MAP, which will succeed insofar as conservatives support it -- and mention it to friends and fellow coalition members. I found visiting the MAP site an exhilarating experience. The Democrats (Murtha, Mollohan, Jefferson, and crew) are about as corrupt as they come, so there should be no shortage of great material.

steve

TV coverage
Conservatives also need a major television broadcasting company with a news department that reports with a conservative bias. FOX News is fair and unbiased, but they cover the same stories as the other networks. Which means proportionally more stories reflecting badly on conservative politicians and conservative values. We a need a network exactly the opposite of CBS and PBS, which would reflect a conservative bias, and then deny that one exists. It would be nice to have a news network whose "man on the street" interviews always show people with the conservative viewpoint, as opposed to CBS which picks and chooses liberals for their "man on the street" interviews.

A conservative television news network would provide much more balance in the propaganda war that the mainstream networks are waging, and it would make a killing in the ratings.

Good Work
I too am linking the site. Hopefully Bill O'Reilly will interview the two men to give them a little publicity.

MassachusettsLiberal
"How about the hundreds of $millions in foreign aid for Katrina that the Bush adminstration never collected."

Depending on who it was from, there could be many reasons has not been (if you are correct) collected. I would like to see proof.
For instance, it could be from countries the US feels are terror-related, or it could be from countries that the US regularly supports with foreign aid, hence, the money would just flow back the other way eventually anyway.

MassachusettsLiberal
"Republicans prefer to keep foreigners on welfare, but kick poor U.S. citizens off welfare after a few years."

Last time I looked, the Dems have a majority in both Houses of Congress. I don't see them rushing out to change the situation. Instead they are wasting time with pointless investigations.

So...this is a get even club, right?
So let's not solve any problems. Let us instead, dig up and throw enough dirt and mud around to obscure or somehow lessen the perception of our own actions.

Quit judging the other side and figure out how to fix it. Or are we too busy taking in our share of the loot taken from the people in arrogant disregard to what is needed, so as to satisfy our personal wants.

Get rid of those republicans that are not acting in the best interest of the country. Forget about the Dems.

Mass lib
This is not about minimizing the findings of this new group, but "whats good for the goose". Last time I looked there was only One that walked this earth perfectly, and oh yes, he was "reported on unfavorably", ridiculed, crucified! I have a sneaking suspicion that Dem's and Libs may "sometimes" engage in selfish or wrong behavior, so why not hear about it also in addition to Repubs? I love it !!!!

Hustler
"Get rid of those republicans that are not acting in the best interest of the country. Forget about the Dems."

That type of statement is exactly why the new website is necessary. The brainwashed Lefties only want the GOP to obey the rules.

Don't get mad, get
even....JFK. Sort of like trying to get even with Rush by starting Air America. Sort of like trying to get even with the GOP sweep in 94 by engineering a DEM sweep in 06. Hustler, successful moves will always be imitated and sometimes even improved and expanded by those who took the brunt. Reminds me of the way Hitler, punished by tanks in WWI, learned more from the experience than the inventing Brits, and used them quite successfully in the Blitzkrieg. How unfair of him. You sound like a naive crybaby.

Bring it on
Keeping Democrats honest will make them stronger, just like firing Gonzalez will make Republicans stronger.

Nice idea--in theory
The Dems were unable to come up with any single crushingly negative story about the Republicans in the run-up to the 2006 elections, but the drip, drip, drip of constant corruption stories (magnified by the MSM), added to the disappointing performance of the reigning Republicans regarding immigration and spending, led the Dems to win (barely) enough seats to take control of both houses of Congress.

MAP won't have the unquestioning support of the MSM, but at least there's SOMEONE who might confirm my suspicion that the Dems are even more corrupt than their Republican targets.

Big problem: it's almost impossible to embarrass a Democrat. For example, did The Blue Dress embarrass Clinton? No, it only angered him that the Evil Republicans would go to such lengths to prove that he was an immoral liar, and the Dems arose to support the belabored Clinton, who only "lied about sex, as would anyone else in a similar situation." Contrast the Clinton Dems to the Nixon Republicans, who encouraged Nixon to resign.

MAP has their work cut out for them, but it's a great idea.

I wonder if there are any Democrats among the remaining 9,999 names on that D.C. madam's list. If ABC has the list, will we ever hear about a Dem on the list? And if the Dems aren't embarrassed about one of their own hiding $90,000 of a $100,000 bribe in his freezer, what WILL embarrass them?

Oh Geez
We have a President who is INSISTING on giving 30+ illegal aliens amnesty, who refuses to enforce our immigration laws and can't hand out freebies to the illegals faster.

We have a U.S. Attorney General who is a member of La Raza and MEChA. He also openly displays his contempt of our Constitution.

These are Republicans, but they sure aren't conservatives. We don't elect a political PARTY to office; we elect individuals. We'd better start remembering that and voting accordingly.

liberalgoodman
Clinton's fired the entire White House Travel Office so that they could "get our people in," then falsely accused the Travel Office employees of corrupt practices in order to make their perfectly legal firing seem justified. I'm trying to recall how many hearings were held on that matter, but "I'm sorry, I don't recall." That Travel Office investigation was the Clintons' idea of the proper use of their FBI.

But the perfectly legal firing 8 U.S. attorneys (with no subsequent FBI investigation of the 8), well, firing Gonzalez will make the Republicans stronger. Yeah, right.

"Keeping the Democrats honest" would, unfortunately, entail getting them honest in the first place. How about you mount a campaign to outst William Jefferson, D-Louisiana? Oh, that's right, innocent until proven guilty. Drip, drip, drip.

PS enough crying like babies
I love about all the crying and whining about the Dems publishing negative things about republicans. OH POOR BABIES!!!

You know if its not true that prove it wrong.

The republicans are the master of dirty political tricks, swift boat and the right wing media, Fox, talk radio, blogs and web, have a constant stream, drone of "Liberals did this", "The main stream media did this", "This Dem did that". However NEVER NEVER NEVER taking responsibility except with a causal, well mistakes where made.

When have you heard ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC or PBS do you hear them openly bash "RIGHT WINGERS", Fox or Republicans. There my be biases but the right wing JUST WACKS AWAY with out shame. At least on the other stations they are critical of the left as well.

If you want a civil fair debate than start with your side and tell them you are sick of the constant strident attacks. NOPE, you will not because you like it. THAN SHUT UP AND STOP complaining when the so called "LEFT" does it back. You are all children.

Let me teach you a few things I learned by the time I was 6 years old:

Do onto others as you wish them to do onto you
Put yourself in the others shoes
Don't spread faults witness
Everyone is a sinner

I realize this is politics and that give you somehow permission to act crazy and like idiots but please for the sake of out union try to put some brains behind you constant rhetoric and propaganda.

"A house divide can not stand.......United we stand divided we fall."

LGM
"Bring it on". I like your attitude. Helps me remember there are libs out there with guts. After all, we're in the same boat. I see no value in shooting holes in the other guy's end of the boat. Disagreement and discussion are part of progress. Those who use words like rant and spew generally fall into the group of ranters and spewers.

jetpilot
Gerry Stubbs--pedophile ACTIONS, not just talk; re-elected, honored in death.
Wm. Jefferson, did not resign, now on Homeland Security Committee, where bribes can do some REAL good.
Gonzalez U.S. attorneys vs. Clinton Travel Office w/FBI investigation.
Scooter Libby's perjury vs. Wm. Jefferson Clinton's perjury (Scooter's served NO purpose, impeded no investigation--geez Scooter, why would you even lie?).
Bridge-to-Nowhere vs. spinach farmers and indoor-rainforest-in-Iowa-for-God's-sake!

Scream all you want to, JP, I'll take our dishonesty over yours. When we ARE actually dishonest, we ARE at least embarrassed. And we don't generally blame our attackers, like Clinton, Stubbs, Jefferson, et al.

p.s. jetpilot
If you could just get Kerry to release his military records you could PROVE those darned Swiftboaters lied. Darn darn darn, Kerry's just too darned considerate.

Polly
Guess the Swiftboaters told the truth

Jetpilot
The kindest word i can find for you is inconsistent. You advise the right to cease attacks on the left and to clean up their own house. Then you launch into lengthy attacks, while implying the corruption on the left is trivial pecadillos. You see NO attacks on the right from your alphabet bunch. Where were you when Rather published a forgery, for example? Ever heard of Rosie O and her claims that Bush was behind the Trade Center deaths? But enough of this who shot john. I believe in fair civil debate. Since i can control only my own debate practices, i start first with myself. Would it be too much to ask you apply your recommendations to your own contributions?

gently99
In a word, it seems, "Yes."

Democrats' duplicity
Why hasn't William Jefferson (D-LA) been indicted?

Two people testified that he was taking bribes and the money (less $10,000 for beer money) was found in his refrigerator.

Yet the Dems ignore that and say the Republicans are the criminals.

MassLib: Spending starts in the US Congress; they control the purse strings.

I remember when Rostenkowski (D-IL) was indicted and tried for felony theft (stealing the taxpayers' money). Rostenkowski went to prison. The MSM refused to use the term "felony theft". Instead, they claimed he was jailed for "political corruption" (whatever the heck THAT is).

Spin all you want, Dems. The American people can see through it.

Polly, gently:
Re-read jetpilot's post and ask yourself: is
this guy capable of even understanding your
points, much less engaging in reasoned debate
about them?

I think not.

Hmmm...
It would seem "jetpilot" flipped on his after-burners and made a supersonic exit from this thread. Must have been too many "bandits" here for him to engage!

"Jet pilot" my arse.....

Speaker Pelosi
spoke often about the "culture of corruption". Surely she will welcome the results of these two new investigators to clear this up. I know the Dems are doing their best to ferret out any wrongdoing, so a little help should be encouraged by all Americans who are tired of the critters in Congress who are less than honest and honorable in their actions.

bullgod
I guess I agree with you, but don't you sometimes wonder if Democrats and Republicans live in different worlds, where Democrats see Republican politicians as actually having a pulse (e.g., jetpilot sees Republicans thus: "However NEVER NEVER NEVER taking responsibility except with a causal [sic], well mistakes where [sic] made." And "If you want a civil fair debate than start with your side and tell them you are sick of the constant strident attacks." Like a Republican might ever find the volume for a "strident" attack!)

We, of course, see it differently. (No examples needed.)

We can assume jp's nuts...or DO they really think that? Are the Dem politicians actually sweet, honest, hardworking people who merely quietly see things differently and truly seek to expose corruption, no matter who does it?

Nope, I can't accept that. So am I nuts?

Gonzalez/Jefferson, Scooter/Clinton. Just don't see it. Oh well.

What a great idea!
Fight bias in the media with...more bias in the media. Brilliant!

Primus54:
You say "Jet pilot my arse". No kidding; I'd
bet the mortgage money this illiterate idiot
has never flown a jet.

In fact, it's even money he couldn't fly a
Frisbee.

Polly:
I honestly don't know if lib/dems really believe
that Repubs have cornered the market in corrup-
tion. Seems more likely they're just indulging
in a little spin and propaganda, because serious-
ly - who could?

Of course, I'm referring to serious left-wing
posters on this site (there are some!), not a
comlete buffoon like jetpilot, who is too stupid
to know the difference.

What do you mean. . .
. . ."Keeping Democrats Accountable?" They haven't been held accountable for their various transgressions since the sixties.

Whether we conservatives like it or not, we are going to have to start fighting fire with fire. Join in the mud-slinging and trash a few DhimmicRATs and see how far it goes.

I'm so sick of the constant stream of propaganda disguised as news on the major networks that I don't even bother with them anymore. I'll find my news online and this new website might be just the thing.

Corruption
Am I just totally naive? Rhetorical question.

Corruption.

Hmm. I don't care if it's the Republicans or the Democrats. From my perspective, the party that is usually THE most corrupt is the one that is in the majority.

No one is going to go the minority party to get something done, they are always going to go the majority party. That's the party that controls the agenda. The minority party may get little things done, but it's the majority party that can manipulate the rules to their advantage.

I love folks like the author. They remind me of the TV preachers.

Once Americans start realizing that we have to protect ourselves from BOTH parties, we'll be a lot better off.

dogjudge:
Truly spoken, sir. Corruption and malfeasance
will always be part of the political climate.
Both major parties today, and any party that
manages to gain some measure of power, needs
careful watching.

That said, I don't understand what objection
you have to the project Bluey writes about.
It's undeniable that the media pretty much
gives a free pass to questionable dealings
among Dems; isn't that a serious problem that
should be corrected?

Bullgod
Thanks for the comment.

Free pass to the Democrats? From a long time ago, perception is reality.

I don't know if they do, or they don't. There have been quite a few Democrats who have been brought down by the press. Dan Rostenkowski and many others.

It may be you're right. I don't know.

I think it occurs on both sides. It just depends on who is going after who. William Randolph Hurst, William McCormack are names from the past who went after their opponents.

Whenever I see anything in the press, I always ask if they have an axe to grind. There are certain people that become so blatant after a while I don't even bother.

Bullgod
Curiosity.

If you were going to use someone from the site to try to support a position that you were taking, who would it be.

For me, it's folks such as William F. Buckley, George Will. Opposite end of the spectrum, for me, I won't even read anything by Ann Coulter any more.

Darn good idea!
This new site is long overdue! You go boys! I'll be a customer for your ideas and a customer for your advertisers products!

JetPilot
Suffering from hypoxia again. Better go to 100%.

MassLibrul
"And how about Bush/Cheney using Tenet's "slam dunk" phrase for political points?"

...maybe his slickness shouldn't have axed 900+ analysts from the Mideast and Africa desks of Langley a few months after the first WTC bombing. then we could have had our own intel people do the job they were supposed to, rather than just paying other nations for what they had for intel.

"$millions in foreign aid for Katrina that the Bush adminstration never collected"

...got a reputable source on that? (ie, other than nbc, abc, cnn, msnbc, see*bs, nyt, etc.)

"the Democrats are fighting a close election result in Florida"

...you mean 7 paid gore operatives on the FL supreme court trying to throw the election? how novel-al capone has nothing on you critters. btw, a gaggle of lamestream media types (nbc, USA today, nyt, among others) went to FL and did their own recount.

Bush won.

dogjudge:
My favorite columnist on this site is Walter
Williams, who can't be beat for plain-spoken
truth, IMO.

Also never miss Thomas Sowell, and lately Diana
West.

I enjoy Ann Coulter - wouldn't cite her as a
source, for sure, but for humor and entertain-
ment she's the best.

Buckley I like; I still remember when he was
virtually the only conservative voice the media
allowed us to hear. Will, not so much. He tries
too hard to be liked by the left.

There's plenty to like about TH - not least the
discussions going on UNDER the columns.

Pure Freaking Magic
Look Polly and you all, don't be d-bags.

THEY ARE ALL CORRUPT AND INCOMPETENT, OK. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR BI-PARTISAN.

YOU STILL TALK ABOUT CLINTON AND SOME GOO ON A DRESS. HA HA HA HA HA HA.........GET OVER IT. I WISH WE HAD THOSE TROUBLES. THAT IS WHAT I MEAN, DEMS HAVE BJ-GATE AND GOP LIES ABOUT DATA THAT START WARS THAT DESTROY NATIONS. THE GOP DOES ACCOMPLISH MORE. MY WISH IS FOR GOVERNMENT TO DO LESS.

My GOP "list" of shame was a very short one of a WAY WAY longer list. WHY? Simply because they where in power and still are in dominate power. The GOP had it ALL for 6 years. Now we know what happens. Let's not let that happen again. I blame the Dems partly as well. They had no back bone and where pretty much a GO ALONG minority party.

Bush and GOP started a war for reasons that turned out to be ALL wrong by mistakes, MY BAD, Oh-oops or by outright lies (you choose). THEY WANT TO KEEP IT GOING TO SAVE FACE. I understand that, BUT ITS IMMORAL AND WRONG.

I am almost 100% sure if Dems where in total control of the government and if they started this war, for no reason and screwed it up royally like Bush, the Dems would likely want to KEEP going as well. It is not lost as long as you keep fighting and saying its getting better.

The point, don't be such a d-bag. I just wish someone would say the truth. TRUTH! I wish you would be honest and not on a constant rag about liberals and dems, because it intellectually dishonest when there is MORE to mad about on the GOP side.

As far as I am concerned, we should start 24/7 withdraw of IRAQ OIL to the tune of about $2,000,000,000 worth, than get out.

This propaganda about the troops, they want to win and what would does that say about the sacrifice of those who died. Yea, yea, yea, if you really cared, you would not want more US troops to die, more in the last 4 months than at any other time, +300 since the "surge". That is WORSE, and the next 300 deaths will be worse still.

You know & I know this is a s hole and will never be a pro US democracy. Wish it would be so, but wishing, denial and saving face has no place in war.

Think about the Iraq people you cry. YOU DON'T CARE! BUSH DOES NOT CARE! MOST AMERICANS DON'T CARE, never did never will. I mean we feel real bad about the innocent Iraq civilians deaths, but that is not really a reason to stay. Even Rumsfeld in his down home grandpa golly gee whiz talk said, civilians die during war, gee henny penny, those things happen, oh well. Bill O'Reilly says he has no respect for the Iraq people and they are "prehistoric". STOP WITH THE FAKE CARE.

I am PRO AMERICA, sorry Iraq. Iraq civilians deaths are on Bush and the GOP and will always will be, forever and ever. Deal with it.

What conservatives and republicans really lament and morn the most about IRAQ is the DEATH OF THEIR PARTIES POWER.

You all have a good weekend, I got to watch Former CIA George Tenant on 60 minutes lie, I mean explain why when he said "SLAM DUNK" that Saddam had WMD's and a direct 9/11 connection, when he said he knew better, BUT HE SAID NOTHING.

THIS IS WHY BUSH, GOP AND FANATICAL RIGHT WING MEDIA AND FOLLOWERS ARE DANGEROUS: enablers, yes men, lap-dogs, puppets, figure heads, stuffed suits will go along no matter what.

NO ONE STOOD UP AND SAID NO, this is WRONG. THIS IS WHY THE LOCK-STEP ATTITUDE, CLOSE THE RANKS AND ATTACK LIBERALS, DEMS AND BACK GOP/RIGHT WING NEO-CON AGENDAS NO MATTER WHAT IS EVIL. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE THRILL IN BEING PART OF A PARTY THAT IS POWERFUL AND CULT LIKE AND A WINNER. HOWEVER ITS UN-AMERICAN AND WILL LEAD TO OUR DESTRUCTION. THE PART ABOUT ONLY REPUBLICANS CAN SAVE US FROM TERRORISM IS ONE OF THESE DANGEROUS LIES AND RETARDED.

THE DEMS ARE JUST NOT AS ORGANIZED ENOUGH OR IN LOCK-STEP ENOUGH, LIKE THE GOP, TO START A WAR WITH MADE UP DATA; THE DEMS LACK OF ORGANIZATION AND UNIFORM HARMONY AND UNANIMITY ABOUT ISSUES IS BOTH THEIR CHARM AND THEIR LIABILITY. WHEN I SEE PARTY LINE VOTES ON IDEOLOGY AND SPECIAL INTEREST LEGISLATION MY SOUL CRIES.

THE GOP IS ADDICTED TO THE 100% POWER THEY HAD FOR 6 YEARS AND ACHIEVED WITH THIS POLITICAL STRATEGY. PANDER TO NRA, EVANGELICALS, ENERGY, WHILE USING OPERATIVES TO DO DIRTY TRICKS. IT MAKES THE GOP IMPOTENT AND INCAPABLE OF MAKING THE RIGHT DECISIONS. THE DEMS ARE NOT AS BAD, YET, BUT WAIT TILL THEY HAVE 100% POWER. THEY HAVE LEARNED FROM THE GOP. THEY ARE GOING TO FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE, AND WE ALL LOSE. WE ALSO ENCOURAGE THEM TO ACT THIS WAY.

WHY DON'T WE HAVE LEGISLATION WE AS THE PEOPLE WANT AND KNOW WAS GOOD (YOU AND ME AND MOST AMERICANS)? IMMIGRATION, BORDER, CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM AND SO ON? WHY? BECAUSE THE POLITICIANS DON'T WANT IT.

I'll be as critical of the Dems and suspicious of their actions when they are really in power, which is almost a "SLAM DUNK" in 2008. All americans should be critical of government and especially the party in power. Just because its your team is no reason to let them steal and lie and cheat.

If you sit there and let the BUSH/GOP do all kind of things like MAKING UP DATA, data which was repeated during the State of the Union and at the UN, which lead to a war and are nonchalant about it, I have nothing else to say. THEY KNEW THEY WHERE TELLING LIES AND EVERY ONE KNOWS IT NOW! HOW SAD. I BET FOX NEWS WILL DO A STORY ON IT? RUSH WILL BE OUTRAGED!

I know politicians LIE, but lie about a BJ not getting us into a WAR!!

WHO IS GOING TO PAY? WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?

George Tenant gets the Medal of Freedom! You can't make this up!

Paul Wolfowitz another one Bush's idiot Iraq architects. His punishment for poor performance from Bush is he gets a cushy job at the world bank for $400,000/yr, and has NO BANK EXPERIENCE. Of course he than gets his girlfriend and several other friends get $200,000/yr jobs as well. This was to pay off Tenant and Wolfowitz for their silence. Except Tenant is mad about being blamed for all the disastrous and bogus intelligence by Cheney. Poor baby. I bet Colin Powell is mad at Tenant for being fed lies.

Plausible Deniability DOES NOT HACK IT. Got to go, watching George Tenant lie on national TV, yep he is on, yep he is telling lies; I can tell I see his lips moving.

ah yes! the wisdom of Father Nikita - another idol of the left. it's been a while since i heard that quote, but it sums up the matter quite nicely.

reasonable idea in theory
So the site set up to show that democratic malfeasance matches republican malfeasance has uncovered the shocking fact that the president of the second most important of the UMass campuses is paid the second most of UMass presidents. And that democratic congressman are supporting the democratic candidate in a dispute. I am sure that voters will see this as the equivalent of being given millions of dollars from a lobbyist, or abusing a mistress, or trolling for pages.

Meanwhile two more republicans have been forced to step down from committee assignments because of allegations of improprieties.

A website to ferret out democratic impropriety makes sense. But it can only be a success if it is true that the media is hiding democratic impropriety. These first examples don't seem to support that.

Hustler
The republicans spent 6 years ignoring the dems and trying to fix problems. It allowed the dems to slander them without opposition and (along with rep spending sprees) managed to get them out of office.

It is time for the right to finally fight back when attacked by the left.

Hustler, if you really want amity and peace, then convince the left to stop attacking and slandering the right, then we can stop criticzing them. Until then, I think the only sane position for the right is to fight back against the left with every bit of venom the left uses to attack the right.

Question
I keep reading the statement "if John Kerry would release his military record...". I was unaware that when you leave the military you are allowed to take your complete record of service home with you and it's appearantly the only copy in existance. Is this true?
