Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

If there is one thing the media agrees upon it is that Hillary Clinton runs a shrewd and disciplined campaign. This mantra runs through practically every media mention as they report the tried and true horse race story lines.

But the ongoing Norman Hsu fundraising scandal has to call into question this basic premise. The New York Times noted this week that Hillary was afraid that a fundraising scandal could harm her campaign. And yet faced with an unknown figure coming out of nowhere to become one of her, and her party’s, biggest fundraisers didn’t raise any red flags.

Despite the scandals of illegal campaign contributions from a variety of shady characters with connections to communist China that surrounded her husband’s reelection campaign, Hillary acted like Hsu’s contributions and bundling were completely normal.

Even when contacted directly with serious questions about Hsu’s potentially criminal past the campaign insisted that Hsu was "COMPLETELY legit" in the words of one staffer’s email. When the Wall Street Journal ran a story that questioned whether the people Hsu was bundling contributions from were financially able to make such large donations, the campaign insisted nothing was wrong and issued this statement:

"Norman Hsu is a longtime and generous supporter of the Democratic Party and its candidates, including Sen. Clinton. During Mr. Hsu's many years of active participation in the political process, there has been no question about his integrity or his commitment to playing by the rules, and we have absolutely no reason to call his contributions into question or to return them."

When it turned out that, contrary to this statement, he was a fugitive from justice they grudgingly decided to give to charity the $23,000 Hsu had directly donated but insisted on keeping the bundled contributions. When serious questions were raised about the legitimacy of those bundled funds they finally acquiesced in returning them, but have declined to release any details about these donors.

Initially, it even appeared the campaign was going to re-solicit these donors in order to avoid losing all of the donations, but they quickly backtracked when this raised even more questions.

The Hillary campaign blames these problems on the lack of evidence in the public record and insists they did their due diligence. But everyone seems to have more information than her campaign. The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, a variety of columnists, and even bloggers have all dug up more information than the vaunted vetting process of the Hillary campaign.

Hsu’s past is full of vague finances, bankruptcy, dummy companies, and addresses that lead nowhere. The people he bundled money from seem to lack the financial ability to make such large donations and appear to have been reimbursed from some of these dummy companies.

If you get a bundle of very large donations from numerous members of the same family who all live in the same house and appear to have modest means shouldn’t that raise a flag for further follow up? Why is it that countless journalists and bloggers can unearth this information and yet Hillary Clinton claims this was all an honest mistake? Given her history doesn’t this seem sloppy and even reckless?

Buried in the middle of a recent New York Times article was the real answer–Hillary’s need for cash once again outweighed her judgments and competence. This is in fact just how the Clintons operate:

“People have often said about the Clintons, they don’t care who they hang out with as long as the people can be helpful to them,” said one of Mrs. Clinton’s major fund-raisers. “The larger point in all of this is that the Clintons are the ultimate pragmatists in who they hang out with; if you can be useful to them, they will find a way to make it work.”

Hillary Clinton insists she is the candidate of both change and experience. She has experience all right; the experience of doing whatever it takes to raise the millions of dollars it takes to get her elected. What about change? Well, some things never change.

Weren't the first 8 years enough?
How Hitlery can even be considered as a presidential candidate is beyond me. For 8 years, she and her husband had the most corrupt administration in the history of this country.

For future liberal posts on this thread, don't tell me she hasn't done anything that the GOP hasn't already done. You do not excuse bad behavior by comparing it to other bad behavior.

What the country has seen on this part of the on-going "FundingGate" with Hsu is just the tip of the iceberg.

And one of her biggest campaign points is she wants to bring about socialized health care??????

God help us if she wins.

Has it occurred
to anyone else that Hsu's sudden "illness" or whatever it was on board that train in Colorado was just a little too convenient? Maybe I've been reading to many polical thrillers, but it seems to me that maybe someone in the Clinton campaign may have been trying to shut him up before he could do any more damage.

Clinton will drag down the Dems with her
For most conservatives, moderates, and libertarians Hillary Clinton is anathema. And as is being now quietly whispered in Dem circles, Clinton's nomination will drag down her party with her--especially as Iraq continues to improve, HsuGate unfolds, and as tax-haters get up close and personal with Hillary Care 2.0.

Thanks to Hillary, Reid, and Pelosi the GOP will win the White House and take back at least one chamber in '08.

Why?
Did no one complain about the EIGHT felons who were Bush 'Pioneers.'

Shoot, one of Bush's major fundraisers may have been involved in a murder for hire.

Republicans only care about stuff like this if it goes against their enemies. They tolerate an endless amount of it within their own ranks.

Yeah, there's some crooked money in the Hillary campaign. but she can't compete with Bush on that account.

proves to me
The fact that Hillary didn't seek divorce or separation from slick Willie after all his improprieties proves to me she has no common sense, no self-respect and is as totally amoral as he. The latest campaign-funding scandal further shows she's just another lying, pandering, cheating arm of Clinton Inc.

animalgirl
Why is it you even bother to defend Hillary's actions. Bush isn't running for Election in 2008. Did you ever hear about the deaths associated with the Clintons, there is alot of smoke and you know where there is smoke there is fire. And the GOP when it discovers violations & crooks within their own ranks, we disown them and get rid of them. Hillary & Bill make Bush and others seem like Babies when it comes to Illegal Activities. Again, you don't know what you are saying. No facts, no details, just plain venomous lies to support the biggest Socialist Commie to have ever been elected. Hillary Clinton. Why don't you read up on your Heroine, afterwards if you have any sense, she wouldn't be your Heroine at all. Bill & Hillary have sold out the American People to Communist China, and that is well documented. How about Pardongate, Travelgate, whitewater, lincolnbedroomgate, and a whole bunch more. Hillary purposely made every attempt to destroy Bill's Accusers, she didn't care if they were telling the truth or not. We know all about Hillary, how come you don't. Can't accept the truth?

Hillary
I'm shocked I tell you, Shocked!

the clinton crime family is at it again watch out hsu people who could harm the clintons frequently end up dead.the clintons are traitors to the republic because they sold atomic bomb secreats to communist china for campaign money.they should change thier name to rosenberg.

Chicom Employee
So the masters of opposition research, the holders of the FBI files, the people who took cash from the Chicoms named Huang, Lippo, Kanchanalak, Trie, Buddhist Nuns and James Riady's gardener are asking us to believe that "Norman Hsu just wanted to be liked". I'm sure Hu Jintao liked him a lot when he authorized yet another set of payments to be funneled to longtime Chicom employee Hillary Clinton. Lead painted toys, poisoned cat food and toothpaste and a nice invasion of uppity Taiwan will all be OK if Red China's satrap is installed in the White House by retards hoping for free handouts from Big Sister. I was listening to her speech at the Tom Harkin Steak Fry (a carbon and cholesterol criminal fun fest in Iowa) where after a ludicrous anecdote about finding blind and disabled children galore during her days as a big-government lobbyist, all denied a decent life by the too-small size of government, she screeched out a list of things that she was going to set right; use diplomacy to solve terrorism (!), end secret ballots in Union elections, take back those horrible tax cuts and make sure every American gets all the health care they ever dreamed about FOR FREE! I guess those Iowans are going to need it real bad after their kids get done sucking the poisoned paint off those uninspected toys from China, not to mention Grandma, unable to afford human food because of the murderous Bush regime's invasion of Iraq, tucking into a can of Kitty Feast and choking on the industrial waste added by Madame's Chicom campaign contributors. When are they going to catch on to what a corrupt fraud she is?

missus clinton
does this witch believe in anything beyond her lust for personal power and the ends always justify the means. She learned long ago, during bubba's failed congressional run the importance of cash. No money is dirty if it works for her goal of power. That she is the consumate control freak only validates the notion she always knows the source of money and looks the other way or suffers selective memory when caught with dirty knickers

Republicans take note...
Better get used to it; unless the Republican party can find a nominee with a spine that can generate some enthusiastic popular support, (in other words, an actual LEADER) the Clintons' machine may be unstoppable!

Hillary would eat her young to be Pres.
Everyone is in agreement that Hillary would do anything to be President, would this also include conspiracy to murder?

bman
you forgot one thing. She would also kick him in the jewels to stifle his calling for the local cop. As for her medical records, they cannot show lack of a conscience or scruples. But a heart of ice would upset medical authorities. Lacking a pulse would cause consternaqtion that all their monitors were broken

Mrs. Clinton and the Deja Vu Democrats.
The American People want the 2008 elections to be about Change. A Change to put America back on track, going in the (R)ight direction.

But, the democrats theme for 2008 is "Deja Vu". A repeat of the same scandals brought to us by Mr. & Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Only a Consistent Conservative Republican, can give this country the Right Change.

Leave Mrs. Bill Clinton and the democrats in the past, and let the Conservative Republicans lead this Country in the Right direction, for the Right Change, for all Americans.

Will some Clinton support please explain
I genuinely would like a supporter, and preferably several supporters, of Ms. Clinton's candidacy to explain to me why the following is not of concern to you:

1) She's corrupt. Every time she runs for office, we see similar violations of the law. This is not the first such scandal from Ms. Clinton, there were similar scandals in her New York Senatorial campaign, resulting, I believe, in a criminal conviction for her finance director. Do you not care that you're supporting a person who clearly does not care about the law?

2) She appears to believe she's royalty. Several former White House employees have testified in writing to this. Former Special Agent Aldrich explained that she would not even allow anybody to WALK THE HALL of the White House when she was walking; if she saw them, their career was shot. She treated the help like dirt; she cussed out Secret Service agents repeatedly; she forced White House employees to work too few hours to be full-time employees, so they could be denied benefits.

3) She seems to be completely vicious. The way she treats the help around her is part of it; she's also famous for verbally abusing Bill (long before the Monica thing came out -- Monica was hardly the first, probably more like the 400th). After the "vast-right-wing-conspiracy" show, she apparently told an aide, "That'll teach them to f*** with us".

4) Her words are entirely chosen by expediency. You can't tell what she actually believes, because she won't ever say that. She only says what she thinks the public wants to hear. Any resemblence between the truth and what she says is coincidental; it's not that she hates the truth, just that it's irrelevant to her.

Do you really not see all this? or do you actually think bad people can make good Presidents? that personal character really makes no difference? because by all accounts, Ms. Clinton is truly a bad human being.

Wow
Her campaign is still alive. She's still the prohibitive favorite for the Democratic nomination.

That these two facts are true is a testimony to the extent of how much the mainstream media is in love with the idea of Hillary as President and has thus sandbagged news on her behalf. The mainstream media wants us all to "MoveOn" from any scandal that would possibly taint Hillary.

The world's smartest woman
Once again, the world's smartest woman, wants us to believe that she was unable to uncover the basic background facts about Hsu. I get confused. Is she smart or just a victim of deficient data? Poor Hillary. She has such contempt for the electorate. She thinks we're going to buy her spin.

They always do
speedy_duck observes, "She has such contempt for the electorate. She thinks we're going to buy her spin."

She DOES have contempt for the electorate, but she has good reason to believe it will buy her spin. Namely, it always does.

This is not the first Clinton scandal; arguably, it's somewhere around the 60th. Yet, neither Clinton has ever been charged with anything. Why? Because they are experts at deflecting investigation. They have a routine that they follow that involves threats, bribery, deception, denial, delay, and a number of other tactics, all engineered to prevent any real, personal damage. They understand that an accusation, even a true one, means nothing if the public can be made to forget. And the public, so far, always does.

You and I will not forget. But we're the exception. And so long as the mainstream press flacks for her, this scandal will not sink her, any more than the last one did. She had a campaign manager go to jail last time, remember? And yet, here she is...

I was watching it on CSPAN last night. She said it. I forgot about the tykes in Alabama but ,of course, thats nothing for the Goldwater Girl who ministered to the illegal aliens in her upper middle class Chicago suburb in the early 1960's! We should count ourselves lucky that she didnt get singed by all the burning churches that young Rush Limbaugh and his cronies were setting ablaze.
I was watching this speech to see how the crowd, an obvious collection of party faithful (who else could listen to Tom Harkin and keep a fried steak down at the same time), reacted to her speech, or should I say SCREECH! Not good. Edwards was much better of a speaker and the speech was tailored to getting a reaction. The audience knew when it was time to cheer. Not so with Hillary. A shrill monotone the whole time. She mistakes yelling for passion. Another odd thing was Dodd, Edwards, Biden, Harken and some unnamed female (possibly Mrs. Harkin) all sat in a group and off to the side was Her Highness, talking to no one.
Interesting.

People are stupid
As I watch the throngs of people clamor at Hillary's speeches I wonder what in the hell they're thinking. I wonder if they're thinking..."She'd make a great Commander in Chief of the military". I wonder if they're thinking..."Yes, I'd love to pay 20% more in taxes to fund a health care program" when there doesn't seem to be a health care crisis in this country. Then, I wonder if they're thinking that she'd be beholding to George Soros and the KOS. Finally, I wonder just how stupid must they be.

For libphobic
It's because Hellary is also an adulteress that she didn't divorce Bubba (she had a one-side affair--predatory on her part--affair with Foster, and then had him offed).

Analogous to one of Canada's top couples, Pierre-eh and Maggie (Trudeau); the one difference is that Trudeau entered PM's office SINGLE, and left it a divorced adulterer.

People are stupid
"it even appeared the campaign was going to re-solicit these donors in order to avoid losing all of the donations, but they quickly backtracked when this raised even more questions."

can anyone tell me how this information got out to our reporter richard collins.

before we think it cant happen
I didnt think people were stupid enough to elect Bill once never mind twice.
All this Bush hating is simply tit for tat over the fact that the socialist hero Billy got smeared. SO if you dont have a platform other than
1.Tax Tax Tax
2.Kill Babies
3.Cut and run
4.Obsfucate the constitution

What else can you expect

George Bush is
certainly not a great president. Actually, I believe that he is one of the worst ever. I have several reasons but my primary reason is because of the abandonment of his conservative base and his shameless capitulation to liberal democrats on issues where he could emerge victorious if he had the balls. However, I also believe that GB is a good and honorable man who always ask himself this question before making a decision: "Is what I decide good for the country and the American People?" On the other hand, Bill Clinton's first thought when he (and Hillary) ran the country was: "What's in it for us and how will we benefit?" The media will never expose the Clintons for the corrupt white trash they are.

A Clinton Vetting a Major Contributor?!
You jest.

the dims/libs/socialists are driven by hatred of bush. They have festered this hatred since the alldull fiasco. They somehow think that the missus clinton is really the cover for the return of bubba. But they are so driven by this fantasy that they are incapable of truly looking at the missus clinton. That she has no experience outside of govt. and is convinced every problem can be solved by increased govt and it's accompanying tax increases still hasn't set in to their blindness over clinton. The power structure is so tilted towards their desire to impliment socialism and their blind followers cannot understand what is in store for america. But they think the missus clinton is a winner despite all her flaws and stupid comments and promises to change america. By the time the dims/libs/commies wake up and realize the dream has instead turned into a nightmare it will be too late. But just think how thrilling it will be for her to refer to everyone who disagrees with her by the same endearments she directed toward bubba and everyone else who has incurred her wrath. Unfortunately for the libs and the missus clinton their nightmare won't come true. Enough sensible americans won't fall for the deceptions she has already fooled the libs/socialists with

Hillary's appeal; simple to understand
People believe she will deliver on all of her impossible promises and their lives will be tremendously improved with the help of the government. Obviously, these people live in fantasy land. They are the types that hear Rudy Guilliani say he will lower taxes to create more revenue and get confused because it is counterintuitive. Hearing that 'rich' people are going to have to pay more taxes is a simple solution to all their problems. That is all there is to it.

Bill and Hill are completely corrupted
Nothing pales by the amorality of their lives.

He serially abused women and she ran a "war room" to degrade and deigrate her "sisers" (feminism that she claims) as trailer trash and bimbos.

They are both connected with over 50 peculiar deaths of people close to them personally and professionally who were about to testify against them in one of their many scandals. Seventeen (17) of these paople died by gunshot wound. Your odds of dying by gunshot are 1-5500. I don't know anyone shot to death.

Their lies range from his promise to the people of AK that he would finish his gubenatorial term in 1992 and not run for pres. to looking the Am. people in the eye through the tv camera and declaring, "I never had sex with that women." Then Hillary went on The Today Show and blamed the "right-wing" conspiracy for her husband's infidelity.

In 1996, the entire Dem. re-election campaign was debased by taking Chinese communist money in exchange for Am. technology. Hillary is STILL imbroiled in the Peter Paul scandal for not reporting millions raised in Hollywood in 2000. Her campaign manager for 1992 already took that fall.

in 1996, the reelection was so busy raising money from China it twice told the Sudan that we were not interested in Osama Ben Laden, who was offered to use twice before being exiled from the Sudan to Afghanistant--he had ended up in the Sudan because his native Saudi Arabia wouldn't take him.

ta-da
Hillary was successfully sued for disobeying fed. sunshine laws when she ran the healthcare task force in 1993. She disobeyed and stonewalled subpoenas from Congress for years in regards 1) IRS tax forms of her enemies in the Whtie House safe, 2) her missing Rose Law Firm records, and 3) the whereabouts of Craig Livingston who was wanted for questioning re: Vince Foster's death (by an antique gun that didn't work). AND SHE A LAWYER AND OFFICER OF THE COURT.

Much of the above is legally criminal. Why so many people fall on their swords for her is beyond imagining.

Oh please
"These problems while significant...."

You're kidding right? Don't pretend you care.

Be honest. There is nothing a leftist could do to cause you to withhold your support, is there?

Leftist journalists traveled to the USSR and saw the horrors committed by Stalin and covered it up. The bad guy? Evil America for provoking them.

I know, you know, everyone knows Billy raped Juanita Broderick. No problem.

I know, you know, everyone knows Billy sold secrets for Chinese cash. No problem.

The ends justify the means. Politics the religion. Leftism the theology. Government the god.

As a true educator, you always do your homework, as evidenced by your posts. Too bad Clinton drones feel rather than think.

Hi, oldsocialworker
We have to keep up the good fight or the screamers and shouters get all the attention.

Google some of the stuff on the Clintons and all the deaths assoc.'d with them. I did not realize how extensive the info was. I know some is prob. just "conspiratorial," but still, how many people have close friends and associates killed by mysterious shootings?

You can Google me under Conservative Battleline for some of my more formal writings. Ciao for the evening.

Rocky, Robert, whomever...

"but honestly with 4000 dead and climbing in a war where so many lies or exaggerations were told...you and the nutty righties are the only ones who care about thhe things you mention."

Robert

Do you also care about the ruined lives and dead produced by our various government provided systems?

I'm sure you also care about:

*The increased violence and decreased academic levels forced upon public schools- all developed over the past 35 years. Overall, American incompetence.

*The sympathy for offenders and indifference toward victims afforded by our legal system; which has resulted in revolving door "justice", more victims and crime, and emboldened criminals.

*The comfort, rights, and financial support provided to those who choose to live based upon the satiation of instant gratification so that their many children are gauranteed at least 17 years of abject misery; only to often repeat the pattern.

Does your heart go out to the those people as well, or is it reserved only for the voluntary military servicemen and women?

Rocky
I believe your point fits quite well into a larger context. If it doesn't, it should.

The Clintons
How can you tell when the Clintons are fabricating? When their lips move.

Renny-
I did not write down the Conservative Battleline contact info. when you mentioned it before. I will look into it now, while I am thinking about it.

Keep up the fight. Yes. Ugh! Its like dealing with personality disorders; nothing penetrates the construct!

These problems are paramount, not just s
Bill and Hill are measured with and by very different standards.
You need to go back and review the history that follows this pair. The rules and laws which have been broken, the number of people allowed to do jail time for them (ag Hubbell, ) the cover-ups, pulling FBI files, selling pardons to tax evaders and terroist, the land deals, and on andwth no real penalty. Because this has gone on so long and is so frequent there has developed a certain "lower expectations" when it comes to this pair.."heck just one corrupt contributer, there is usually much more",or"so Berger simply stuck valuable pieces of history into hsjock,"hey listen those women asked for it." Indeed this behavior is expected from them, it's part of their charm and mystique...
Make no mistake Americans...these problems are vitally important when people with a broken moral compass are running the country, when they actually believe or cannot see the difference between right and wrong...when it come to their actions. How many times have we been told as kids,Rome fell from within..how trite you say?
Maybe just this: the last interview that Bill had with Dan Rather he was asked (regarding Monica) Mr. Clinton, Why did you do it? His answer.."BECAUSE I COULD"
Remember, our children take what they see and hear from our leaders as the way to "do things""
Can you imagine the most powerful man in the world "getting over"on a 22 year old, because he could...and then explaining to the country that oral sex isn't sex...I'll bet he would consider it sex if someone tries it on his kid. He still believes that he did nothing wrong...and you think these are small issues?

What did Bush do with his super-tainted Enron campaign contributions? Did he give it to charity? Did he give it all back?

Return on Investment for the Chinese?
Most people donate to a particular campaign because they expect some sort of payback. Usually it's political: the candidate pledges to vote 'aye' or 'nay' on a specific issue.

So, what return on their "investment" into the Clinton/Democrat Party are the Chinese expecting? Why would they give hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to these people? Is anyone investigating this angle of the story?

The Clinton Lemmings
Those who plan to vote for the distaff side of the ethics-challenged Clintons in the coming election illustrate Samuel Johnson's quib about second marriages: The triumph of hope over experience.

But whoever said Democrats were intelligent?

Hillary, the Blame Game, and Suha Arafat
There is nothing out of the ordinary for Hillary to play the blame game and feign ignorance when confronted with irrefutable truths. One only need recall when she sat right in front of Suha Arafat, headphones on for simulataneous translation, listening attentively as Mrs. Arafat delivered a string of reprehensible blood libels about Israel and the Israeli army. Hillary said nothing but when the speech was over, got up and went over to hug Mrs. Arafat. When the text of the speech she had heard was then translated and made public, Hillary blamed faulty headphones and said that she really couldn't make out most of the speech. Hillary Clinton, the wife of the US president, would sit there passively while her headphones didn't work? Now that would require anyone to suspend belief.
Lowell Blackman

The election will be over in Feb
when the primaries conclude. If the Republicans nominate Rudy, McCain, Romney, Huckabee or Thompson it will be President (or is that Queen) Hillary. If they send Hunter, Tancredo, or Paul then it will be a race. Hunter would pull in every state Bush got, meaning he'd win. Tancredo would do the same. Paul would be the most landslide victory since RR. Despite the fact that Paul could win a landslide I still couldn't vote for an isolationist in the primary.

In response to Sam
The year 2002 is used because 5 years seemed to be the most relevant. If I had tabulated with an earlier date, it would have been more deplorable for the GOP.

Regarding the responses that this list includes Craig-no (too recent), Frank-no (no crimes). Kennedy-no. If you want to inlcude 40 years of felonies, that would cover the Nixon years, and that gets too unworkable. It seems names are important. Have your wish.

This list does not include hundreds of other republicsn implicated, or who have confessed under grant of immunity, who are under investigation, and all those who have been and those charged, or indicted. Just those convicted.

Billary
How can we be sure that she and her campaign have done what they said they would do with these contributions? I sure wish I had the money to find out the answers to these questions.

Clinton's relatives
One of my friends is Bill Clinton's first cousin, a cop. I asked him one day at church "so, did you vote for your cousin?" and he gave me The Look and said "Are you kidding? No way. I know the man."

If it stinks, chances are it's rotten.

For the record
Steward Writes:
"Just the facts:

Since 2002:
Convicted: 102 Republicans. 1 Democrat
Indicted: 5 Republicans. 1 Democrats
Confessed under grant of Immunity: 1 Republican. 0 Democrats.
Under investigation: 21 Republicans. 1 Democrat.
implicated: 75 Republicans. 0 Democrats
Total: 204 Republicans. 3 Democrats."

Hi Stewart: Did you notice that these convictions occurred under a REPUBLICAN administration. Republicans do wrong, Republicans go after them. Democrats do wrong, Democrats defend them. Example, William Jefferson(D-LA) was caught with $90,000.00 of FBI Sting money in his freezer(Cold Cash?) and the Dems welcome im back to congress with handshakes and back slapping. Randall Cunningham(R-El Cajon {near San Diego}, CA) was caught taking bribes and other shady deals, is now sitting in Federal Prison. I used to live in SD and TRUST ME, he was considered a "god" there. I might add that Cunningham was charged and convicted despite the U.S. Attorney there being one of the 7 fired by Bush.

I guess I have a lot of people who agree with me out there, or perhaps have a better handle on the truth

when libs rely on wickipedia as their source for fact don't be surprised at their arguments. But their driving hatred for president bush controls all their thinking

Relax, Felix
You are right and I agree with you entirely. I confused Rocky with someone else (Robert) and believe I took the post I responded to out of context. That's what I get for being nosy!

Anyhow- I don't "feel sorry" in the way that you are thinking for those in the situations I outlined. My poorly made point is that the government has created those situations by the implementation of liberal policies, and in that context I am sad for the people who have no idea that they are being used as system fodder to promote big government. I find it ironic that those who scream about deaths in and expense of the military don't care at all about the many ruined lives created by liberalism and its expense.

And that idea that republicans brought these charges to the public's attention: Not quite. The one case that would be true: when they rushed to the mike to distance themselves, and ask for his resignation of, from that paragon of moral turpitude, Larry Craig.

steward
you keep neglecting the two biggest criminals that got more free passes than most of the rest combined. The clintons have perfected the gathering of bribes and the selling of influence. The pennies collected by various senators and congressmen pale by comparison to the millions of dollars paid to the clintons to curry their favor.

Response to Wildwest
You are right. My error. I have neglected the POTUS. I'll now correct that error. Thanks

Bush Family members who have profited from the war

Neil Mallon Bush the younger brother of the President, infamous for his involvement in the Silverado S and L scandal, has been hired by Crest Investment Company as a consultant for $60,000 per year The company describes itself by saying: (We) are a unique company that was created specifically with the aim (to) take advantage of business opportunities in the Middle East following the conclusion of the U.S.-led war in Iraq.
William H.T. ("Bucky") Bush, an uncle of George W. Bush. Bucky received consulting fees of $2,500 a month

William H.T. Bush, a trustee for one of Halliburton's top 10 shareholders

Vice President Cheney, the former CEO of Halliburton, still has between $18 million and $87 million invested in Halliburton stock.
Former president George H.W. Bush only recently resigned as a board member of the Carlyle Group, $676.5 million in contracts.
Marvin P. Bush, the youngest brother of George W. Bush, shares an interest in federal contracts held by companies in his firm's portfolio. And an $80 million Iraq contract

Response to "No Burka for Me"
I can prove my facts. (Actually anyone can. Go to the GAO. Yes, I am "reaching" I hope I always do.

steward
you still ignore the clintons. Or do you somehow believe the millions they have squirreled away was honestly acquired? Obviously you are incapable of seeing the clinton's as the criminals they are.

Response to "No Burka for Me"
You're welcome. I'm glad you caught the literary reference. For the rest:
"Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?”
-Robert Browning

Response to Wildwest
Obviously

Hsu
Anyone who can't spot one of these Asian bozos showing up with a lot of dough and just tripping all over himself to get photographed with the bigwigs deserves whatever humiliation follows. Hsu is a caricature of himself. When will Asian mothers learn to make men of their sons?

Wow Steward, you forgot a few

Wildwest-
Excellent list of cities!

New Jersey is supposedly a blue state, but when you look at the county/town breakdown, it is the counties with our largest cities that are blue (with the towns around the cities being red). Of course, our high crime areas are all dem controlled. The excuse for the crime and corruption? Well, NOT personal values and behaviors, if that is what youu guessed. Its MONEY! Yes- those suburbanites have money, that is why their lives are better. Nevermind that most of the red county people prioritize education/job training and work over procreating and partying; that never gets mentioned.

ASK NOT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND REAL CORRUPTION AND THE MEANS TO WALK ON THE BACKS OF OTHER TO SHOW YOUR GRATITUDE, REMEMBER THIS:

THE CLINTON'S ARE NOT YET DONE RAPING AMERICA FOR ALL IT'S DONE TO THEM.....

Richard H. Collins -- REPENT!!
Mr. Collins, how dare you question the infinite wisdom of Hillary Clinton! Don't you know you can go to hell for that?

Well, that's what the liberal media seems to believe, anyway.
