Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Looks as if April Fool’s Day came early this year.

In a puzzling move, the nation’s first black attorney general decided Wednesday to tackle the pressing issue of … race relations. “We, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race,” Eric Holder announced. “Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards.”

Is that so?

Well, by all means, let’s open this “conversation.” So what did you think of the political cartoon in the New York Post recently? The drawing shows two cops who’ve just shot a chimp. “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill,” the officers say.

The art plays off the story of a chimp that recently went crazy in Connecticut (where many Post readers live). It attacked a woman and was shot dead by police. But some, of course, see the cartoon as a racist attack on Holder’s boss.

“Being that the stimulus bill has been the first legislative victory of President Barack Obama (the first African American president) and has become synonymous with him it is not a reach to wonder are they inferring that a monkey wrote the last bill?” serial race-baiter Al Sharpton complained in a statement.

That comment is absurd. Everyone knows Obama didn’t actually write the “stimulus” bill; he outsourced that task to Congress. Besides, the newspaper’s editor-in-chief explained, the cartoon “broadly mocks Washington’s efforts to revive the economy. Again, Al Sharpton reveals himself as nothing more than a publicity opportunist.”

So: there was a brief conversation on race. Was that what the country needed?

Sure, sociology professor Michael Eric Dyson told CNN. “We still lack a great deal of integrity and background and honesty about race and perhaps if we had more forthright conversations about race, we wouldn’t have to have these subterranean discourses that really are more malevolent.”

But, the anchor asked, what if a white person insisted the Post’s cartoon wasn’t racist? “They might be ignorant,” the Georgetown professor responded. “Openness doesn’t mean that you’re going to be right. Just because you’re willing to be honest doesn’t mean that we have to say that you’re right. It means that we’re willing to expose our ignorance and give that on the altar of conversation so that all of us can be better by it.”

In other words, in this context a “conversation” on race means listening to blacks telling whites what would be acceptable to say or even think, lest we be “ignorant.” Great.

Back to Holder, who’s supposed to be the country’s “top cop.” Instead he’s concerned with just whom Americans are hanging around with. “Saturdays and Sundays, America in the year 2009 does not in some ways differ significantly from the country that existed almost 50 years ago,” Holder claimed. But that’s incorrect.

The untold story of race relations in the United States is how much things have improved, not how bad things are. Let’s look at Holder’s window of 50 years. In 1959, (within living memory for many Americans) there were segregated restaurants in many states. Blacks had only been allowed to play major league baseball for 12 years and NBA basketball for nine. The idea of blacks and whites playing golf together on courses in the south seemed absurd. Today it’s routine.

In fact, today when the issue of race comes up, it’s often because someone is nakedly trying to use it to advance a political position. A few weeks back Roland Burris and some fellow Illinois Democrats held a news conference to explain why Burris deserved a seat in Congress. “There are no African-Americans in the U.S. Senate,” warned Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush ominously.

Indeed there weren’t -- simply because our supposedly racist country had just elected a black man out of the Senate and made him president.

Perhaps Holder was simply following in the satirical footsteps of The Onion. “African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America,” the mock newspaper wrote immediately after the election. “The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it.”

So, April Fool. Unless he was kidding, Eric Holder is the real joke here.

FUNNY
When Obama was running for POTUS, many blacks and the MSM said it would be a giant step to end racism. Rushbo said it would get worse, because anybody who spoke out against the administration would be labeled a racist.
30 days later, guess who was right!

Talking About Race
We've been having a conversation about race in this country my entire life and I am 57 years old. As long as I can remember we have been talking about race. I think it's about time we quit talking about race and moved on to other things, like, how can we get back to real, Constitutional, republican (with a little "r") government. Besides, any time a white person says something in this "conversation" that black people and leftists don't like, he is branded a racist, thus effectively ending any attempt to "converse."

Race?
There is only one race, the human race. Genetic variance between 2 individuals is about 2%. The racial characteristics (eye shape, color, etc) make up 6% of that 2%, or 0.012%, which is obviously insignificant. The man who published a book about the survivability of the favored races 150 years ago was Charles Darwin.
We are all one people unless you believe the basic tenets of Darwin. (and the caving of Christians to blend their belief with pseudo science has only exacerbated the race problem)

Race? correction
my math was off...
.06x.02=.12%, still insignificant

Alan
Of course the true racist believe in the tenets of Darwin. That's why they took such offense with that cartoon of the cops shooting that chimpanze. They believe that man evolved from chimps and...well, we have all seen their drawings in our text books which explain evolution. It is the reason Hitler thought the white race was fully evolved and superior.

Racism Screamed At Every Chance

Louisiana has an Indian-American Governor. My Congressman is a Vietnamese-American. When both said that they disapproved of THE stimulus bill (read: not A stimulus), the de rigeur African-American pastors in NOLA came out and called both men RACISTS.

The bottom line seems to be that, if you don't agree with every single issue that African-Americans agree with, then you are racist, even if you are a minority.

It is just this sort of race-baiting that devalues real racial issues.

Which group really are the "cowards"?

It's interesting that on the day following the inciteful rhetoric of our erstwhile Attorney General, that such an uproar would ensue about some perceived racism alleged to have been shown in a political cartoon which played off the rampage of a wild chimpanzee, in which police officers, after putting down the rampaging chimp, are quoted as saying, "Looks like now they'll have to get someone else to write the next stimulus bill."

The very idea that this would bring out the usual chorus of race-hustlers, race-baiters, and racism whiners; all claiming that this was a racist attack against Barack Hussein Obama, is what exemplifies the barriers blacks themselves have put up to block any serious and meaningful attempts for anyone to even attempt to broach a discussion of race with members of the so-called "black community."

Are we so thin-skinned as to not have the courage, ourselves, to make a distinction between an insult to the writers of the "stimulus" [Nancy Pelosi,Harry Reid, and Congress] and Barack Obama [who as far as what has been submitted into evidence, so far, has never written anything but two self-aggrandizing narcissistic tomes about what it was like to be conflicted as a mixed-race child]?

Are not the real cowards the group of left-leaning blacks who predictably play the race card, making an opportunity to do so, when none exists in the first place?

How can anyone broach the subject of race and responsibility when all they're ever met with is a hysterical response from black people and their so-called leaders, whenever any subject is broached which upsets our comfort-level with being perceived as perpetual victims of the very "racism" we use to excuse our own cowardice in taking a responsible approach to getting our own houses in order?

Prejudice in America
The hatred coming out of washington especially from the Obama administration and his community advocacy groups are nothing more than diversity practicing Jim Crow tactics. Racism is the tool that used to defraud the United States and oppress minorities. Welfare and the hatred by the social workers, religious based charities, and civil servants for financial gain. Eliminate all tax-exemptions, all tax-deductions, and the oppressors would flee. ACORN, INSTITUTE FOR JUSTICE, ACLU, NAACP, LULAC, PLANNED PARENTHOOD, GLAD, and all the other domestic terrorist organizations would leave the United States and find them a socialist home. Stop all lawsuit abuse and hold advocacy legal representatives accountable for defrauding the federal government. Use the same formula that the witness protection program use and have the victim appear before Congress including audits and DNA test of all involved as required by federal statute.

By all means, let's have the
conversation - because due to the fear, adulation and cowardice the MSM had for BO, he was neither vetted for the most important post in the land, or handled with the same thorougness as a white candidate.

So great - we have the first affirmative action president who is really a socialist chicago thug intent on stealing every last penny from hard-working and honest Americans.

But that attitude is racist.

Before Barack Obama
I could, with clear conscience, say, that I was not a racist. As I have watched the race card used repeatedly by both Obama and the Democrats as a tool of intimidation, I can no longer make that claim.

Eric Holder is just the latest manifestation of that observation and it offends me deeply. If that defines me as a racist, so be it. I do not and will not accept any attempt to cow me into politically correct submission.

Tucker's defense of the cartoon is dumb.
Tucker claims that "Everyone knows Obama didn’t actually write the “stimulus” bill; he outsourced that task to Congress". No, everyone does not know the difference, and it's quite easy to plant guilt-by-association links, which the cartoon does.

Tucker also claims that "Besides, the newspaper’s editor-in-chief explained, the cartoon “broadly mocks Washington’s efforts to revive the economy". This excuse is beyond dumb - it's not racist because the editor says it's not.

The cartoon is obviously racist. The Editor-in-Chief (in the least) should be fired. Remember that this came out of the NY Post, a far right-wing rag owned by Murdoch. One step to the right of Fox News. Of course it's racist.

This is Townhall's third dumb article arguing against Holder's idea of having a conversation. These writers must be absolutely desperate.

Sure, let's have the conversation and trying being less racist.

Lack of Science Education
Tell Sharpton a chimp is not a monkey.

All Hail Dr. Douglas
The great scholar speaks, so that is the end.

Your characterization of the Post as a "far right wing rag" exposes your bigotry. Considering your past posts I would take the opinion of the chimp before yours.

...
President Bush was portrayed as everything from a donkey (get it...jack-a**) to a chimp on many occasions. It's a time honored tradition in this country to be able to criticize the President. It shows how much freedom we have and don't have to fear government retribution. One of my biggest feas about the elction of Obama is what we are seeing already. He's unasailiable! YOu can't critizize him for fear of...you guessed it...retribution! This is incredibly dangerous! What mindset are we creating in this man who's never be the leader of anything important? That he is beyond reproach? Unchecked power is dangerous and power that everybody just bows down to doesn't work out too well. Why is a leader who can't be criticized because he holds a gun to your head that much different from one who can't be critiziced for fear of losing one's livlihood? What's more is Bush can be portrayed as a chimp why not Obama? If blacks are really ready to step up to the plate why are their psyches so weak? A monkey is used as an example of not fully developed human. Blacks really shouldn't be so insecure about this unless they're secretly scared they are closer to chimps right? I mean really..why let this ridiculous notion have any amo? The more blacks get "offended" by something silly like this the more power they are giving to the notion.

respect
With this administration, we can lower the terror threat to the last level. This country has become so ridiculous, the terrorists are laughing so hard they won't be able to carry out another attack.

What Is There to Talk About?
It seems that no matter how far we go to correct past mistakes it will never be enough.

None of us were alive when slaves were owned in this country. None of us fought in the Civil War. None of us are responsible for the selling of slaves or for freeing them.

Affirmative action has more than made up for disadvantages of the black race for blacks who wish to pursue prosperity. It has been pushed so far that as a result we now have an unknown and unqualified president, at best; a communist, at worst. We are all going to pay for this mistake as our economy fails.

I guess we will have to take comfort that America overcame racism enough to elect a black man president. After all, that matters more to the MSM and some of the voters than the consequences we are facing.

Who the Chimp represents is revealed..
Dr. Douglas

No way...
If we were honest about race, we'd have to discuss black on black crime, the black on black murder rate, the rate of domestic violence among blacks, the fact that blacks disprortionately represent the prison population because blacks commit crime at a disproportionate rate, the high rate of single mothers and low rate of intact families among blacks, the high rate of blacks on welfare and entitlement programs, the low graduation rate among black high school and college students, and blacks would eventually have to face the fact that it's their own fault and have to stop blaming "whitey" for all their problems. After all, it's not "whitey" driving down to the 'hood and knockin' over the liquor store or selling crack.

Take the Mirror Test
I suggest that everyone (including the Attorney General) take a close look in a mirror and study carefully what particular shade of skin they see on the face in the mirror; and while doing so, ask themselves if the color of that skin or any other color of skin - or eyes or hair for that matter - is really of any significance whatsoever, or whether, in fact, the real issue of concern is about what goes on inside the skull in the brain that is currently looking at the face in the mirror as well as in other human brains – the intelligence, knowledge, judgment, determination, character, experience, work ethic, integrity, language skills, learning ability, trustworthiness, personality and all the other qualities and capabilities related to a particular human brain.
Racial discrimination is illegal in our country and if instances of racial discrimination are taking place the Attorney General needs to see that such cases are prosecuted. Otherwise, perhaps we can agree– as Martin Luther King pointed out – that it is not the color of one’s skin but the content of one’s character that is important, and refocus our attention on the many significant problems we currently face, and put our brains to work on things that actually do matter.

Right on
DanNV #11. Well said - every word is true. I am so sick of hearing about race and racism. The only racists in this country are black, and I have had it up to my ears with their whining and complaining.

Pilgrim - you have made an excellent point. Let's do it!

The democrats believe and preach evolution - so there you have it, folks. The NY Post's cartoon simply reinforced their position. So what's the beef?

Racism
Would someone please give the definition of "Racism?" The word has been so misused and over-used it has no meaning at all.

I submit
that anyone that though this was a racist cartoon is a racist themselves.
When I heard the description of the cartoon and the punch line I immediately thought, "A chimp COULD write a better stimulus". Is that racist? I think not....it had absolutely nothing to do with Obama...he didn't write the bill.
Congratulations go to Dr. Douglas for achieving the position of Dr. Racist. Why is this an obviously racist cartoon? What does a chimp have to do with Obama? Who wrote the bill? YOU associated the chimp with Obama....therefore YOU are the racist.

What White Racism?
Everytime a white person DARES to point out that many times the societal problems of blacks are (even partly) the responsibility of the blacks themselves, the race-baiters come flooding out of the woodwork! What happened when Bill Cosby (correctly) challenged blacks to better their own neighborhoods and themselves? The race-baiters never appeared and he was all but ignored! How about when Queen Latifah stated (because of past racism) blacks COULDN'T be racists?
I think this has less to do about racism and more about the double standard liberals (including the AG) want to apply, to our society, in order to control free speech. "Good for me, but NOT for thee!" "Do as I say, not as I do!" are a couple of phrases that come to mind.

Oh, No.
An Attorney General worse than Janet Reno.

Hard to be worse than Reno
Know why I don't want to talk race? I am SICK of it. And why I don't hang with blacks on the weekend? I am TIRED of learning about the latest multicultural theory or how racist we are for enjoying classical music. Or for criticizing liberals. My friends and I joke about the Left all the time.

Forget these people. Find freedomland. Make it here or start it somewhere else again. Though this nation has apparently failed.

One more thing
All the middle class blacks I know work for and love govt. So it is taken as a personal threat to them whenever one criticizes govt. Again, I say forget them.

I speak from experience...
Just over a year ago I attempted to have a conversation with a black colleague in the higher education field regarding the acceptable use of the "n" word in black culture. This conversation was off-campus during non-working hours. You guessed it, I was labeled a racist and this "coward" decided it was best to inform the spineless president of the college. Instead of suggesting that this employee attempt to work it out with me, he informed my supervisor and I was forced to apologize and was reprimanded. So much for open dialogue.

Its time to put up or shut up
So OK Mr Holder, and all who agree with him about the lack of candor across racial lines. When was the last time you said what was really in your heart without regard to race? Did you express your real opinion about OJ's aquittal? Are you ashamed of pols like Kwame Kilpatrick and Kool Kash Jefferson or do you support them? And when was the last time you expressed and defended your gut level opinions to a white person without fear of subtle retaliation? Its more than charity that starts at home. The bible remarks about motes and beams. The truth is people keep their mouths shut because they fear the results of candor which all too often are ostracism from their own race and damage from someone else's.

what some people don't realize
every time the non white scream your racial it just drives another wedge in the crack & starts up the whirlwind again! Why don't they clean up their own house first.Remember leadership by example but this is a long forgotten message.Yeah I know it's all my fault they didn't complete high school,it's my fault because they couldn't go to MIT & it's my fault their parents seperated.

Holder
Holder opened up a real sore. He is a joke. His background of pardons for Clinton should have excluded him from his position. He needs to stop using the position to comment on race. He is another one of Obama's jokes.

Typical
Liberal Progressive? Only if you believe going backward is progressing. Everything about the left is an affront and abomination to the common sense approach to problem solving. This dust-up over a cartoon is just the latest example. With the left, everything and anything which doesn't comport with their notion of utopian living is either racial hatred or injustice. Anything which doesn't comport to their extremely narrow and narcissistic ideal is percieved as a brutality and assault by a lower intelligence upon their so much higher standard for human existence. Well, I for one am done even trying to entertain their notions of the ideal for human existence. It's not only petty, it mandates all others become prostrate before "their?" ideas of what is right and just. This means no questions, no conversation, no incredulity. I refuse. I wish to remain a free human being, respectful of the rights of others as long as those others are respectful of my rights. I refuse to conform to some perfect standard as defined by the race-baiters, the haters, the ivory-towered eggheads, those who would and continue to make excuses for the abominable behavior of others. I'll certainly talk about the human condition with anyone else interested in having that conversation. What I won't do is be lectured to by anyone who first has to qualify his/her remarks about another race by saying, "you have to understand where they came from!" Nope! We're here, and we're NOW!

Obama is a chimp, GW was a chimp
I have seen the e-mails portraying GW morphing into a chimp. I laughed. I saw the cartoon that ostensibly shows Obama as a chimp, and even though I read it that CONGRESS was a bunch of monkees, I laughed. As Scott from Ca. correctly points out, part of what makes this country great is the ability of the people to comment on our representatives. Actually it goes a step further, we are supposed to be able to INFLUENCE our leaders. We haven't been able to influence these people for years now, its called "pandering to your base." We can't express our displeasure either? This is the REAL bad news. Not that some overly sensitive person with a grievance who can't handle political satire.

Look at the Geese....
Things racial are complicated indeed but more by the manipulators of race than the actual citizenry . In my experience , I began dating interracially in the early 1970's , as soon as college provided me a dating pool with those to whom I was most attracted....African-American women .It should be noted that this was in Birmingham,Alabama . This proclivity educated me to many things a person of my melanin deficiency are normally unaware. This being said , having married interracially and living true to my nature all of this time , I have seen a ton of positive change in many things racial. Sure there are some knuckleheads out there with primitive attitudes, but they are now in the minority. The point is that we are on a journey whose final destination is not yet realized. So let's keep on moving forward. It seems to me as though our nations " Top Cop" might want to do his part by focusing on criminal threats to the entire population rather than lecture us about a subject we know more of than he realizes.

We are all racists...
In one of Dear Leaders appointees thinks we are racist cowards who are we to question the wisdom of Dear Leader.

He is going to take care of all of us.

You First, Holder
OK, Mr. Holder. Let's have that conversation. Let's start with you. Why don't you start by explaining the bigotry between some lighter-skinned African Americans, such as yourself and Mr. Obama, and those with darker skin. Your comments were undoubtedly intended as a teachable moment for hopelessly racist, white, Republican America, but I want to see you squirm as you attempt to convince me that you harbor no bigotry for darker-skinned African Americans.

What do you think of that idea, Dr. Dougass, you ignorant pantload.

A Distinction
In the middle of your article, Rich, you state that "The untold story of race relations in the United States is how much things have improved. . ." I differ. It's ". . .how much things have changed. . ."

This administration...
I fear that this administration is going to set-back race relations drastically, if such comments as came out of Holder continue. Perhaps in some parts of the country race relations could improve...I don't know that for certain. But if Holder and others similar to him in this administration continue making such comments or anything close to his, then I fear that whatever race-relation divisions still exist, will only become wider. Mr. Holder, some things are left better unsaid, or at perhaps be rephrased!

Obama has failed every Judgment Test

Selecting Tax Cheats for the Obama cabinet.

An Attorney General who thinks American Citizens are 'Cowards'.

Rod Blagojevich - whom Obama campaigned for and endorsed - is just one of the many 'Nefarious' characters which Barack Obama has aligned himself.

Tony Rezko - convicted felon - and Obama had several business dealings.

Obama started his political career in the home of Bill Ayers - unrepentant terrorist.

Ali Abunimah head of a radical Palestanian group received contributions from Obama.

Barack Obama chose his Mentor and spiritual adviser, Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright.

The list seems endless - read about more of them on my blog.

The only consistency Barack Obama has shown in his career is 'Bad Judgment'.

Race
Whoever gets from designated point "A" to point "B" the fastest, using the agreed upon form of locomotion. Let the discussion begin.

ERIC HOLDER--A USEFUL TOOL!
***
Eric Holder is another liberal political hack spouting more socialist / communist C**P about the U.S.A.
***
Our country was not and is not perfect. However, many brave Americans of all races and ethnic groups fought against slavery and discrimination and won! President Obama's election proves this.
***
Some examples are President Lincoln, President Truman, President Eisenhower, President Johnson. The soldiers who guarded the Black students who entered "Whites only" schools in the south. The Federal courts who protected Black speech, voting, and education rights. The FBI agents who put the KKK members into prison for their crimes.
***
Don't forget the brave Black and White Americans who marched for civil rights at the risk of their lives. And the mainly White voters who supported unbiased politicians for high office.
***
Holder should shut up and see the strengths of our country.

Rocketman

Barack Obama is CEO of the US

Liberals claim that the CEO's of failed companies should be harshly punished.

Liberals believe that CEO's of large companies shouldn't fly in private jets.

Liberals think CEO's should only have a $1 a year salary.

Liberals want CEO's to NOT party on Government money.

Liberals insist that anything that is wrong in ANY company is ultimately the fault of the CEO.

Will Liberals apply that same system on Barack Obama?

After All the Caucasians
are Extinct,or Killed Off- in about 50 or so years, give or take, We will Still be Reviled, for all the Ills of the Planet. Even after the Advent of "The Black Planet",["The Source" (Hip-Hop magazine)]and Everything is controlled by Minorities, Everything Wrong will still be the Fault of the Evil White Race, no matter how LONG after the Extinction!!

ERIC "THE COWARD" HOLDER!
Let me tell you what made me angry about this speech!

The word “coward” is not applicable when applied to an American.

The word “coward” has no place in the American history.

We are a nation of men/women of courage and perseverance who have fought more than one war on many fronts.

One of them was the civil rights front. Many strong “white” men/women went to bat for the black man when he was being put down. Many of them gave their lives for that cause.

Many wars were fought before we even became a great nation…so that we could be free from tyranny of another nation that sought to enslave us.

Another war was fought to free black men/women who were in enslavement because their own people in their own countries in Africa freely sold them on the open market for money.

Do not ever use the word “coward” when speaking of Americans…that word doesn’t even apply!

In addition, Eric Holder is race baiting…something that is extremely unattractive to someone who is to “head up” our justice department.

He should be fired…immediately!

===============================

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE SOCIALIST “REIGN OF BARRY HUSSEIN” AND HIS ILL INFORMED, UNINFORMED FOOLISH FOLLOWERS

"RACE-PROTECTED COCOONS"
“There are no African-Americans in the U.S. Senate,” warned Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush ominously. Ironically, Rush knocked Obama out of his first run for congress!

The AG, Eric Holder said, "Even when people mix at the workplace or after work social events, Holder argued, many Americans in their free time are still segregated inside what he called "race-protected cocoons."

This is the only statement that made any sense whatsoever! However, the AG is calling all in the military cowards!

That does NOT make any sense. “COWARDS” do NOT volunteer for military service and place their lives in jeopardy 24/365 for their country!

There is nothing wrong with "race-protected cocoons"! We have different life styles, languages and cultures! YOU, nor anyone else can force people to associate with one another.

After spending 30 years in the military and stationed round the world I can testify that personnel of different races do form into "race-protected cocoons" when they are on liberty and in the messhalls.

There are some in the military of all races who have the "COURAGE" to go on liberty and dine together...because they are pals!

However, ALL of us are ALWAYS together on the battlefield fighting, covering each other’s back, bleeding and dying for our country!

While I have 'FREEDOM of SPEECH' I will tell you the MAIN REASON the blacks AND whites in America are angry is your 'stinking thinking' that welfare will solve the problem of poor, uneducated minorities who depend on the government for everything.

You and president Obama are "THE MAN" now! Why do you not force the uneducated to get an education so they can become productive citizens instead of living on the dole forever. This Sir, is the main reason! We are NOT racists! We are angry!

The Rohrshak test
Why is it that when liberals saw a picture of a chimpanzee, they automatically thought of Barack Hussein Obama?

Cowards
Eric Holder's words are not very well chosen for a man of his appointed position and one who desires to talk about race relations. First, he comes across to me as a bully, calling others "cowards" in order to intimidate rather than to reach. It is ludicrous to attempt to have a dialogue with another after calling him names! Get serious! Secondly, this is the oft-used manner of blacks who take the position of victim rather than give credit to the blacks who have forged a trail upwards and the whites who opened doors of opportunity to others regardless of race or ethnicity. The US has been and continues to be a place of opportunity to all who are willing to work, even to EH.

I see a post ....
..that I sent early this morning has been removed. Looks like "discussions" on race are somewhat limited here at Townhall.

The posting had to do with a racialist site which I had been referred to in the past by a colleague, and its report about a particular method of sadistic murder by black males as committed on white females. I posted it in response to a guy minimizing black crime, and welare as an accepted method of income among many blacks.

As said above, the cite is racialist meaning that it focus's on minority racial issues with a blunt honesty not found in or minimized by the MSM. Apparently it does so to counter baseless liberal claims in regard to the latter's long held "scholarship" that minority social pathologies are caused by whites.

The black murder method was reported in the aforementioned site, and I validated it citing my decades of experience psychologically evaluating black murderers.

Well, so much for honest retort.

That being said, let's just say that the trait among blacks as having, as George Will once wrote, "an exquisite sensitivity in all things racial", tremendous power is exquisitely true. It works for spoiled and maladapted adolescents.

So, today, let it be known that you can discuss race all you want on Townhall, but don't get too specific, especially if a black person calls you a racist or when you counter their other insults with accurate info.

While pondering the above, read this:

http://www.ajc.com/gwinnett/content/metro/atlanta/stories/2 009/02/19/calle_0220.html

Consider...
....some of the traits of an alcoholic or drug addict:

1.They're emotionally sensitive to slights, real or imagined.

2.They have tremendously skewed priorities in spending, values and beliefs, i.e., their lives may be in chaos and those around them are getting hurt, but they involve themselves worldly discussion to include "solutions" to social problems.

3.They're loud and emotional. See also, emotionally immature.

4.Most are very demanding.

5.You have to watch what you say around them or otherwise walk on eggshells in their presence. (See number 1.)

6.They rarely, if ever, take responsibility for their actions.

7.They're outrageously dishonest.

I've evaluated literally thousands of addicts over the years, and the above are some of the dominant traits in the alcoholic or other addict profile.

Which race or culture most harbors the above traits?

"dr" douglas
your stupidity suggests you are white. your racism suggests you are black. are you both?

Convict them first ...
... then let them repent.
Those words were spoken to me as the modus operandi of an ancient Presbyterian minister.

Holder has just spoken "convict them first." Repentance may well come in the form of restrictive legislation governing interpersonal relations where criticism of the views of a person of another race or ethnicity, for any reason legitimate or not, will first be tested as to whether or not it might possibly be motivated by racism.

Instruction?
Holder was talking to his employees when he made the "nation of cowards" assertion. Is this a subtle instruction on how his troops should look at the public when race questions come up?

Legislated...
...conflicts and social promotions would be a good start of a race discussion.

Read this article about an affirmative action promotion and the lawsuit that it spawned. In particular, read the part about the work history of the promoted black over the white candidate.

The truth is, blacks today just don't have to try. Black kids CAN drop out of school, or create mayhem while in class without shame or problems with conscience. They know that they'll be hired or promoted simply by being on the job, and they know liberal politicians at all levels will back them up.

No intelligence or talent required, and you'll still be hired. Just be black or hispanic.

Now, after reading the article, who seriously wants to have a discussion on race?

Well said Incredulous
I loved how you put this:

"Anything which doesn't comport to their extremely narrow and narcissistic ideal is percieved as a brutality and assault by a lower intelligence upon their so much higher standard for human existence."

And, "Everything about the left is an affront and abomination to the common sense approach to problem solving."

Speaking of common sense, is it to much to ask/expect Obama to respond to Holder's devisive comments? Is he speaking for Obama? I think America needs to know, let's talk race, Holder opened up the dialogue.

ENOUGH!
Enough already -- ENOUGH!! It is indicative of the mindset of this administration that someone like Holder has been appointed to his position.
It matters not whether skin color is black, white, or green. What matters is "mindset", and in a chillingly short time, this administration
and this Attorney General have shown themselves
to be not up to the task!

Race-baiting
Holder is race-baiting, albeit in a different way than Al Sharpton is race-baiting. Sharpton is doing it for personal gain. It appears that Holder is doing it for political gain.

hail to the chief
Talk race? Impossible to talk race with a black. They see everything in one dimension. blacks are always discriminated against. end of story. Racial parody is non existent, and will always be. The Al sharp ton's, Jesse Jackson, and Rev Wrights of the world will always be there adding their racial fuel to the fire. Hey anyone see basketball great Elgin Baylor is suing his former team owner for being a racist? He coached the professional team for so many years, and now that he was relieved of his duties, he is crying racist? I could go on and on. How come white athletes don't cry racism when you look at College,NFL,NBA are all dominated by black athletes? Pretty damn simple, white athletes have the common sense, and decency to realize that the black athletes in question are the better athlete. End of story. Reverse the situation, and I guarantee their will be lawsuit for racial discrimination. White's are the minority.

Is "diversity" driven racism O.K. ?
While he's being "courageous," maybe our new attorney general can tackle this nagging question about race in America...

How come it's perfectly acceptable that our government, our public colleges and universities, and our nation's businesses will provide preferential treatment to our current President of the United States children (and our new attorney general's, for that matter) over the kids of some poor family that has merely eked out an existence in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains for generations, merely because of the color of their skin?

MMaddox #17
This president's mother is descended from slave-owners, and his father from slave-traders.

Where to From Here??!!
I, like many others who post here regularly, am Retired Military and many more have Honorably served. I would venture few of us had serious Racial problems during service. May I suggest, while agreeing almost totally with most of U, that we all step back, swallow hard, and say 'TO HELL WITH HOLDER" He will come forward with some sort of wishy-washy Bull S&!t and I intend to let it go in one ear, etc.. The BAD part is: Does he BELIEVE what he SAYS?? CHEERS

A MANS COLOUR
The colour of a mans skin means much less to me than his politics. In case no one has noticed we have just elected the most liberal politician in modern history to run our country, he is far to the left of Ted Kennedy and Hitler. This president will do his level best to convert this country to Soviet Russia surendering any honor or integrety along the way. He will not try to protect us from attack from terriosts, he will not try to stop the muslims from attacking Isreal, he will come out on the side of Iran in their fight against Isreal. His lack of experience and his arrogence is going to doom us, I fear for the life of our country.

Racist comments
I think the racist comments from the Attorney General are supposed to take some attention away from the latest boondogle from congress and to point out to people, that are begining to question the stimulus bull, that to do so is racist and the only reason they are questioning this stimulus package is because its the pet project of a Black President, the inference is that if he were white no one would question it. This is only a theory but its as good a theory as any others i have heard so far

john from CA
You think im wrong huh, just look at what he has done so far and what he says hes going to do next, you would have to be a raving lunatic not to see this, i know a lot of his followers are blind to his flaws and naive to his intentions so i suppose this applies to you also, i know you cant stand critical comments about your messiah but thats too bad. I hope you realize that he cant really turn water to wine or walk on water, although i would like to see him try, this would be devestating to you.

John-Calif
U say "--and many others were involved in the Plame affair" Then U go on to mumble about "seek medical help immediately" Well, If Ur still convinced the Lady was, at the time of the *misdeed*, a covert operative, then TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE..
No need to respond..U make my hair hurt, OK??

JT
To help address racism in this country, we need WHITES to take a stand against bullying and race-baiting from the NAACP and Al Sharpton.

Take a stand! Don't be afraid! And please try to understand Al Sharpton and the NAACP do not speak for blacks, but for the democratic party.

This disgraceful behavior will never end until whites in America get some backbone and reject racial bullying from bullies that use race as a weapon!

Screw Him
I wouldn't spend an extra second with the sub humans.

Selective Racism
The significant thing about racism is that blacks can say anything about fellow brothers and sisters or white people but if white people say anything off color about black people, even in a humorous connection, they are accused of racism. Talk to Don Imus about that who has helped more white, and black, kids with cancer than Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson or Holder ever will.

Did a white family step up to the plate and invite Holder to a dinner this weekend?

"Eric Holder" the real racist
As we will find out before long short comings in the present administration must be very carefully couched in sideways english, much like trying to point out short comings or actual sub human practices of Islam, otherwise we will be labeled as bigots or racists. Get used to it, we have four long years to live through this monkey business.
