Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

The New York Times broke the story of the year Monday afternoon:

"[New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer … has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month, according to a law enforcement official and a person briefed on the investigation."

New York Governor Elliot Spitzer has a new first name: John.

Federal wiretaps on a high-end prostitution ring known as "Emperor's Club VIP" led to four arrests last week on charges stemming from a 1910 law known - onomatopoeiacally - as the Mann Act, which makes it a federal crime to (again, according to the NYT) "transport a person across state lines for the purpose of prostitution."

Several of the wiretaps captured a communication from a man who was identified in the Federal complaint as "Client Number Nine."

Client Number Nine is Elliot Spitzer.

Client Number Nine got caught looking for a little Love Potion Number 9 at the Mayflower Hotel in Your Nation's Capital on the night of February 13.

I don't know much about this stuff, but don't you think he must be wondering who were Clients 1-8?

I couldn't care less if Elliot Spitzer goes to professionals to - as we used to say during the Great Depression - get his ashes hauled. What the press corps needs to focus on - FIXATE on - is the matter of hypocrisy.

Elliot Spitzer is a hypocrite.

Elliot Spitzer, as New York Attorney General saw himself as Elliot Ness, rooting out wealthy and powerful evildoers where ever they might be. Elliot Ness, as far as I know, did not occasionally slip into a Speakeasy for a glass or two. Spiderman doesn't shoplift from candy stores.

According to news reports the high-end prostitution ring was known as the Emperor's Club. According to those same reports, prostitutes charged as much as $3,100 per hour.

I have a fairly active imagination, but even if A LOT of Beach Volleyball were involved, I can't think of anything which would be worth $3,100 per hour.

According to Reuters, the complaint describes "six telephone calls between Client 9 and one of the defendants that were intercepted by wiretaps between February 12 and 13."

It seems the john was a little tardy in sending along the deposit so the defendants told Client Number 9 that it might be a good idea to bring along an additional $1,500 to leave as a credit balance against future action "to avoid further payment issues."

You an read this stuff as well as I can, but this being a Presidential election year there are implications. Political implications. Inasmuch as Elliot Spitzer has been a supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton it has really BIG political implications.

If I were advising the Republican Party of New York, I would grab news accounts of Spitzer raising money for and/or campaigning with every Democrat in the State. I would demand that every one of those candidates (who are now, because of the political tsunami in New York in 2006, public officials) give back whatever money was raised with Spitzer's aid back to the donors or to charity.

You may remember that Hillary Clinton first supported, then opposed, then supported, then opposed again Spitzer's plan to give illegal aliens New York State drivers' licenses. And she did that all within the same question at one debate.

As for Republicans in New York? They should hire Martha Reeves and the Vandellas to travel up and down Broadway singing, "Dancing in the Street."

As for me? Forget everything bad I've ever written about the New York Times.

Spitzer for VP???
On Hill-Billary's ticket would solve the Dem "Experience" issue...

Spitzer has just proven he has what it takes to be a Clintonian-style President...
He can answer the Phone at 3a.m. (at least we'll know who is calling)
and then Slick-Willie Jr can hang around & be mentored by the Master who can spend the next 8 years teaching Spitzer how to be black.

W/O=

A LOT??
Rich,

It depends on your definition of "A LOT" when it comes to the subject of my favorite spectator sport, beach volleyball! That said, I'm not too proud to admit I'm enjoying watching a egotistical jerk like Spitzer go down (so to speak) in flames. Like his mentors, he thought power was his birthright and he was above the law. I'm with the NY-GOP, "Spitzer, resign or we'll impeach your sorry arse."

my 2 cents
you can't make this kind of stuff up. And to think that the nyt broke the story.

We are SO unworthy

Whose on first

Actually,I think the NY Sun broke it first.

schadenfraude
Well, hypocrisy like this should be held up to the light of day. I heartily dislike Spitzer but I will not feel any joy in his downfall (in this manner). I feel quite sorry for his family and hope that he can find forgiveness and peace eventually. Sorry, guys, it's just the Christian thing to do.

Hypocrisy not the main issue
Spitzer's hypocrisy is between him and God, not for us to judge.

The real issue is his neglect of duty and receiving benefits from a criminal enterprise. As a prosecutor, he had a duty to uphold the law and prosecute the people involved in this prostitution ring. He also had a duty to refuse to accept any illicit gifts from anybody.

Don't let the sexual element of this story obscure the serious crimes and negligence committed by this powerful figure.

"Schadenfreude", actually
Forgive me for the correct, Enterprise (CVN-65), but it's actually "Schadenfreude", German for joy ("Freude", as in Schiller's "Ode an die Freude")at the damages ("Schaden") others suffer.

I agree with you about not revelling in his downfall. But as I just posted in the comments to Michael Medved's blog on the topic, I think he should be executed, or given the chance to take his own life. We've grown too soft.

Hillary delenda est.

Gaylen doth protest too much
I dont remember ever seeing mr Gaylen write anything about the abject hypocrisy of David Vitter or Larry Craig on this site. Aren\t those two losers still in office on the GOP side?? Yupper sure are. And didn\t the GOP causcus give Mr. Vitter a Standing ovation upon his return to DC?? um yeah, they sure did. So can anyone explain how and why the GOP and mr Gaylen are bitching to have the Gov, of NY resign.??? He most likely will, Vitter and cRAIG certainly wont. Luckily, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, and Rick Renzi wont have that option as they are smashing rocks in thier local penitentiaries. Oh yeah, dont forget scooter libby. RUle of law my arse.

Hoezing the Hoez
In an apparant case of poetic justice, a political "ho" got hoisted on his own petard.

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, was caught figuratively this past week with his pants down as he conspired to hook up with a pro in Washington DC.

"Political Hoez in Washington? So what?!" many are tempted to say.

However, Mr. Spitzer was well known for his persecution of prostitution during his tenure as New York Attorney General. According to some sources, the man would ruin the lives of otherwise decent men by aggressively going after them, and causing their names to be made public before there was a case against them.

Then in true hypocritical style, he not only saw a pro himself, but transported her across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

This is a federal offense, so Mr. Spitzer is seriously up the proverbial creek.

While some people are trying to psychoanalize Spitzer to figure out why he succumbed to temptation, I instead believe that the man is a hypocrite in the truest sense of the word, and believes that he is above the law.

It is no surprise to see the almost celebratory response from all corners, as this political hoe gets hoezed.

$3,000.00 a "pop?"

Surely I am in the wrong business.

Fleetw1978 - Larry Craig
In case you haven't heard, Republicans called for Larry Craig to go away, and it is he who is clinging to his job for dear life.

While trysting with a fellow amatuer in a toilet is disgusting and illegal, Senator Craig was not caught "in the act," but only playing footsie under the stall.

Governor Spitzer, on the other hand committed a federal offense by transporting this high priced call girl across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

When money is exchanged, the crime goes beyond public indecency, and becomes a more serious crime. Add the federal offense, and well, the political hoe is hoezed.

Mountain Rose
My sentiments exactly...either that, or my husband's been getting a great deal.

What we really want to know is this:
Exactly what does one get for $3000 an hour?

I Understand That Spitzer
paid for four hours of service, but let the woman leave after two hours.

Lets see 1 hour 50 minutes for the viagra to kick in 3 minutes to get undressed and dressed, which leaves 7 minutes to complete the act.

Just how expensive did this end up, considering the future costs of his whoremongering this is probably the most expensive call ever.

I haven't seen "onomatopoeia" since
grade school! Kind of like my college calculus classes -- used them once in the real world. :)

And to those calling for Spitzer's resignation, I must ask: Why is David Vitter still in the United States Senate?

If you don't think a man who has visited prostitutes is fit for public office, why is one of your own in the United States Senate?

And if you actually think David Vitter shouldn't be in the Senate, please direct us to where and when you have called publicly for his resignation. It should have come on the very day that the story broke, if you're actually concerned about such things.

And what about this guy: http://www.knowyourcourts.com/Nottingham/Nottingham.htm? This federal judge -- appointed by Bush #41 -- makes Spitzer seem like the epitome of sanity and reason.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3/8/63620/75575/868/ 472039

How about some intellectual consistency here?

lets bottle this knowledge....
Eliot states that he will work on "re-gaining the trust of his family"!
When that happens, please share that knowledge; as we can all use this sifted wisdom!
---the "strategy" needs to be public--and may translate into...nevermind...
CAN ONE WIFE JUST WALK.....just one---
Can a feminist chime in????

Typical????
One has to wonder how many more of these self-righteous punks are still in high places living off of the taxpayer's money while engaging in hypocrisy. I believe that the list would be quite large, truth be told. And after all, they unfortunately will eventually walk away with full health coverage, a great bank account, sheep that still feel sorry for them, and the taxpayers are the ones left with lighter wallets.

Look at it this way
all you liberal loons out there...David Vitter is little more than an answer for Slick Willie Clinton... Some might say payback, but then again, Vitter never broke any federal laws (Spitzer) or LIED UNDER OATH so the Republicans still haven't come close to the Dems for a lack of ethics or morality.
As far as I know Dick Morris is still a FDem, just Anti-Clinton.
Ted the Swimmer Kennedy (RE-elected ENDLESSLY)
Barney 'call-boy-ring' Frank (multiple RE-ELECT)
Gerry 'page-child molester' Studds (RE-ELECTED)
And THAT is just ONE STATE!!!!

W/O=

Why No Govt Seizure of Assets?
I recall reading some years back about a family whose very expensive boat was seized and sold at police auction because their teenage son left a few joints in the seat cushions - unbeknownst to the parents.

I also remember hearing about a Michigan family whose car was seized when the husband solicited a prostitute on the street, while driving the car.

Perhaps some of you genius attorneys can enlighten me as to why the good Governor has not had his bank account seized. After all, it was used as a means to convey money to a criminal enterprise.

But you don't really have to be a genius to figure that one out, now do you? Hypocrites with government backed power never have to pay the piper like the rest of us ordinary citizens. They get to demagogue and grandstand with impunity, while the rest of have to live with their asinine policy initiatives: like police seizures of private property without due process.

When will Americans demand responsible government? If we ever wake up, we can make politics less attractive to the power worshipers like Spitzer, and the Clintonistas of the world. And improve all our lives in the bargain.

There Is A Client #10 in Chicago!
Yes there is...only it hasn'nt been discovered yet exactly who our public official Client #10 from Chicago is yet.

You know, I just smell the Clintons all over this one. Okay, let's put on our tin foil hats together, shall we, and I'll explain my thoughts as to why:

We all know the Clinton Machine digs dirt and scandal and has a network of private investigators on the payroll.

I think they were tracing this story themselves, realized there are high profile escorts with a number of politicians. One traces to Chicago...you do the math. Having uncovered the governor is a good start to this.

But what we're talking about in Illinois is who is #10 from Chicago. Hmm.....

Okay, tinfoil hat off.

He's not a hypocrite
He is a Democrat.

Only Republicans can be hypocrites. Didn't you get the memo?

Hmmmm
Maybe I'm wrong about Hillary willing to shoot herself in the foot to win the war against Obama, but who's to say.

I'm just very curious about client #10 from Chicago.

Also, why is his wife standing by his side? What is it about dirty politicians with their hands up every skirt, and the wife supports him?

I just don't get it.

IT'S BEEN FUNNY
watching the liberals spin this whole mess as being a 'private matter.'
None of the moonbats have touched or even want to mention about what this is all about:
Wire Fraud
Illegal Money Transfer
Money Laundering.
Just like the same moonbats never touch or even mention about the Lewinsky matter.
Perjury
Subourning Perjury
There are even transcripts coming out over the wires of Spitzer phone calls setting up his trysts and discussion about diverting monies to QBA Corporation - I'm not sure of the spelling- which is looking more and more like a shell company to launder money "just like always."
It is becoming more and more apparent that this creep has been doing this for many years and what brought this attention to himself was Spitzers transfering these monies from government and corporate accounts set up in other names except his.
As far as David Vitter, his name turned up on a list of a woman of what my grandmother would call 'dubious virtue.'
If he did engage in this sleazy behavior at least he was smart about it and used cash.
Another ironic thing I have noticed today along with other posters on Townhall:
How the fangs and long knives of the moonbats come out when the perverts and homosexuals turn out to be Republicans.
Talk about hypocrisy.
Spitzer brought this on himself. Like the guys on Wall Street, I'm enjoying the show.

Doro (1:47 post) you win hands down
"...my husband's been getting a great deal"

Without a doubt the funniest line of the day.

I sure hope MY wife doesn't catch wind of this or I might have to start cleaning the house.

Idiot Spunktzer is a moron
His wife is a mega-babe.

She's hot enough to be a conservative political columnist.

I say we start recruiting her to our side.

Most Expensive
$3100 per hour for four hours is not nearly the final tab. Wait until the divorce is over.

That piece of ... action ... will likely cost him a helluva lot more than that.

I hope everyone remembers this the next time some politician comes by to shake hands. I can guarantee I would NEVER shake that hand.

You don't know where it has been!

A DESPERATE CRY FOR HELP
Yup, you read right. That is the newest angle in the Eliot Spitzer sleaze fest.
According to a pyschologist on Fox News, Eliot Spitzer, a man with wealth, power and everything he could want at his fingertips may, in fact, be the 'loneliest man in the room'
AWWWWWWWWW!!!
I guess crushing and threating opponents and their families could no longer suffice for this 'Sheriff of Wall Street.'
I guess busting prostitution rings didn't float his boat anymore.
He had to start patronizing them.
If this is a 'desperate cry for help' -aren't they all- this pig has been screaming at the top of his lungs for almost ten years.

???
Well, I guess it's official. I'm the only person in the whole country who just doesn't care about this, although I do feel very sorry for his wife. Far as I can tell, she did nothing to deserve this. CVN65, thanks for being a voice of reason and moderation in this discussion. Schadenfreude's a great word, but really nothing to be proud of.

Clients #1 through #8 (and beyond)
Bloomberg.com and other media have done some checking into the rest of the clientele of Emperors Club VIP, Spitzer's VERY upscale escort service:

-- 92% of their members are "CEOs or owners" of large companies.

-- Average annual income of their members is over $1 million a year.

-- 9.3% of their members are retired CEOs of corporations.

-- 77% of their members are art collectors (so Emperors Club VIP offers their own service to buy and sell original art for their members).

Folks, it looks like we've found the secret headquarters of the World Conspiracy of The Powerful Elites here. It's not the Bilderbergers, it's not the Project for a New American Century, it's not the World Trade Organization, and it's not the Trilateral Commission.

No, all the world's richest and most powerful men get together at: a whorehouse.
We should have guessed that's what it would turn out to be.

for largecaliber
largecaliber asks: "Just how expensive did this end up"

Sources are telling the NY Post and WNBC-TV in New York that Spitzer had been a client of Emperors Club VIP for at least six months, and he had been employing prostitutes from various services for up to six years before that.

Evidently he has spent over $100,000 on upscale call girls over the last six years.

CALLING DR. PHIL!! CALLING DR. PHIL!!
Gimme' a fu@#in' break.
I don't know how many of you are posting from the New York area but obviously you have no idea how this guy has operated throughout his career.
He has used phone taps and wire taps and intercepted email to threaten and bully and intimidate his opponents all the way from being Assistant AG to AG right up to the Governors mansion.
And he was doing this long before 9/11 and after the passing of the Patriot Act he increased the scope of his operations and modus operandi.
But of course he was using it against evil captalsts and not terrorist cells so, whatever.
Not only that, he had been using his clout for years to cut sweetheart deals for his father, the multi-millionaire real estate developer.
And while I have some sympathy for his wife, how the hel! do any of you know what was going on between them?
According to the latest information coming out he has been doing this for YEARS!!!
He spent upwards of $100K!!!
He was sneaking around using shell corporations to hide his activities.
For the last time:
Wire Fraud
Illegal bank transfers
Money laundering.
Schadenfraude is a great word. And so apt for this situation.

Please do not use "John"
The proper term is "two-timing hoe-bag sleazy putz."

I understand that "John" glides off the tongue and the pen, but few Johns would pay more than a movie and a dinner ... and never through dummy corporations.

Thank you.

Trust a Democrat
$5000 for two hours? Trust a Democrat to waste so much dough on social programs. He could have lived in a Bangkok brothel for a month with that much money.
Don't ask me how I know that information. :)

Well now,
Mr. Spitzer client #9 then how high do the nos. go?
What is Bubba clinton's # and are there any senators of very high profile on the list?

I have a feeling...
That after all of this is over and the legal bills are settled, the tax payers of New York are going to know what it feels like to be a $5,000 hooker.

About Vitter
"Beastie Boy writes:
And to those calling for Spitzer's resignation, I must ask: Why is David Vitter still in the United States Senate?
If you don't think a man who has visited prostitutes is fit for public office, why is one of your own in the United States Senate?"

Being a senator has limited powers; anything he does or tries to do requires the
co-operation of the majority of the senate. Check and balance.
I still think Vitter should be booted.
A governor on the other hand has almost unlimited powers, especially in la enforcement.
He is the #1 law enforcer of the state.
The people of the state voted him in;
They hired him to do that job.
In Spitzer's case he knowingly and willfully broke one or more of the laws he was hired to enforce. I think he should be impeached.
It's like if department store hires a cop to run the security department, then he's caught shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of goods.
What would the Manger of that store do?

B-Boy
Isn't Vitter from the same state where voters RE-Elected a Dem Mayor who left them high and not very dry as Hurricane Katrina ripped their city to shreds? Remember the pictures of those flooded school buses that could have been used to get people to safety before the floods came?
And Nagin is still the Mayor there?

It is up to the voters...Vitter should be gone, but short of applying pressure (which has been done) there isn't much Republicans in Congress can do to get him out.

Now...about Ted Kennedy, the 'alleged' drunken womanizer who killed a young woman...why is he still in the Senate AND a DEMOCRAT LEADER to boot???

W/O=

Aloupekos
I read on Yahoo News last night that Spitzer gets his wealth from his family; his father was (or still is, I don't know) a successful Manhattan real estate developer. Doesn't that mean "Capitalist"? And, the last I heard, townhall folk are all for the accumulation of personal wealth and the use of it for personal fun. At least, every time I venture an opinion that it's immoral for a CEO to be paid $50 million a year and spend $500 a day at a golf resort when local children can't afford to go to the dentist, I'm told that's Communist reasoning. So say what you like about the hypocrisy of a legendary crime fighter contributing to an illegal sex outfit. Say what you like about the expression on his poor wife's face. I'll probably agree with you. But forget the complaint that a wealthy man spent his own money---or prepare to defend why that child with a toothache can't go to the dentist.

Dredd
A major lawyer (I couldn't place his name but have often seen him consulting on TV) Monday evening was pointing out that we are the only Western nation in which this story "would not have been on page 26". We're also the nation that impeached a president because he was fellated in his office. Is it that we're so moral? Sure---that's why our president just vetoed a ban on torture. No wonder the rest of the world laughs at us.

The old saying about prostitutes...
" $ writes: Tuesday, March, 11, 2008 1:49 PM
What we really want to know is this:
Exactly what does one get for $3000 an hour?"

You know what they say about paying a prostitute. Ultimately you're not so much paying her to perform, as you're actually paying her to leave, afterwards.

Altho, one might be a bit less eager for one of those Emperor's Club girls to finish up & go, than say f'rinstance the pasty-faced crackhead who thumbed a ride & then offered some "lip service" for an engraved portrait of Andy Jackson.

Lilly Liar
Excuse me, your hero Bill was impeached for lying under oath to a grand jury. You know, L-Y-I-N-G. The same thing you consistently do.

Mountain Rose
You are right that Repuublicans called for the resignation of Larry Craig. But those same Republicans defended Bill (Mr Morality) Bennett after it came to light that he is a compulsive gambler. And they defended Rush (Mr Send-Those-Junkies-To-Jail-Forever) Limbaugh when the news broke that he was doing all kinds of illegal things to obtain controlled substances to which he was addicted. So it sounds as if Republicans are re-e-ea-lly hung up on sex, but don't much care what else people do.

$... You asked -
"What we really want to know is this:
Exactly what does one get for $3000 an hour?"

A whole bunch of publicity is the obvious answer.

W/O=

Lilly
WE do seek a higher moral standard than other nations. It is the reason this nation has been a great nation.

Democrats like yourself have a much lower standard of decency and vote for gutter politicians(like bill clinton), and that is why others laugh at us. It also brings this country down to the level of a banana republic.

Lilly, I'll type this slow...
OK, Lilly, I know you say you were an English teacher, so try to understand:

CRI MI NAL. As in Fraud, illegal bank transfers, etc...

PRO SE CU TOR - Supposed to enforce the law.

Funny, I don't see "Capitalists" arguing that point. If you love social programs so much, why are you here where evil people want to starve you, walk over your children and force you out in the cold? I'm sure you would be happy in Canada (socialized medicine) England (same) or Sweden (socialized everything).

You are just what we used to call a "bum". You produce nothing and have your hand out, and you call other people evil for not filling it.

SteveL
"No, all the world's richest and most powerful men get together at: a whorehouse.
We should have guessed that's what it would turn out to be."

And that would be different from Congress - How?

Answer to my own question
Duh... The folks in CONGRESS are screwing US!

Client #9?

I read on a report that client #10 is a big wig from Chicago!
Just wondering if the "Clinton Machine" stumbled into this investigation?
Or caused it!
Now who could client #10 be?
Hillary's friend Spitzer may just be "collateral damage"

Why did he resign?
Bill Clinton proved you could molest White House interns, lie under oath, and obstruct justice and not only not resign, but the honored as the New York Treason Times "favowitest pwesident in da hole wyde werld".

Ted Kennedy proved you can murder your pregnant mistress, and garner 70% of the Ma$$hole vote every 6 years.

Barney Frank showed you can run a prostitution ring out of your home and continue to be re-elected over and over again.

Heck, the late Gerry Studds even proved you can admit to raping children and still get re-elected 5 times to congress.

Why did he resign? It is doubtless that his getting caught invovled with a prostitution ring will only ADVANCE his political career. After all, since most Democrat voters are themselves felons, they look on criminal behavior as a PLUS.

Perhaps he's going to be named Hillary Clinton's vice president? They certainly would be a perfect match.

lilyliar
Your boy, Slick Willy, was impeached because he was guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. That is an IRREFUTABLE FACT that you could read in the articles of impeachment filed against him in the House of Representatives.

Of course, you being an America-hating fascist, you KNOW you need to LIE over and over again, else NOBODY would buy your BS.

Beowulfe
You should take it easy on sufferheads like lilly A charles.
Their brain, possibly, has been abused.

Lilly
Billy did not get impeached because he "fellated" in his office. He got impeached because he lied under oath. He did not get punished for his little tryst with Monica. His reputation and respect climbed sky high after that. He was put on a pedestal by his democrat friends.

Billy probably has dreams of another intern and other ways to degrade the office of the presidency. He should not be allowed to get within fifty miles of the place.Ditto for his pretend wife.

Lilly = ELIZA Version 2.1
Lilly,

It was a joke. I realize that early generation AI program doesn't understand humor, so you can only respond with gibberish. It may have been a bad joke, but it was a meant to be a joke.
My use of the term "social programs" meant socializing with prostitutes and spending too much money and getting it cheaper and.. Oh, why am I bothering to explain this to a machine?
Jeez, you would think that Soros could get more for his money.

cleaverness_ 12:59
That is right.

Bitter over Vitter?
sans pareil: "Isn't Vitter from the same state where voters RE-Elected a Dem Mayor who left them high and not very dry as Hurricane Katrina ripped their city to shreds?"

Not entirely his fault. Bush had a lot to do with that.

If we judged on performance, how in God's name did you idiots re-elect Bush?

I like that standard

All excellent arguments for impeaching and criminally prosecuting Bush, Cheney, Rice, and Rummy.

You gotta be kidding!

It's his own friggin' money, for cry-iy! The law requires criminal intent; it's hard to defraud yourself.

NO, I'M NOT KIDDING BEASTIE BOY
To move money into a corporation that doesn't exist or a corporation that is a front for another entity.
He was defrauding the government and the State of New York.
Wire Fraud
He was making these transfers on an irregular basis in sums that brought attention of State Regulatory Commision which oversees and keeps track of money transfers from corporation to corporation.
Oh, yeah. None of these corporations that were making the transfers were related to him.
Illegal Money Transfer
This money went into a front corporation with money from other 'ho chasers to be comingled and sent someplace else.
Money Laundering.
You don't know what you're talking about, genius.

The pot calling the kettle...
I notice that Mr. Galen worked as Newt Gingrich's press secretary. I wonder if he condemned his boss's exercises in infidelity or if he held his tongue until he could find a Democrat to criticize. Just asking, Rich.
