Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

John Kerry; Al Gore. Al Kerry; John Gore. Interchangeable goofballs.

What is it about Democrats who have lost elections for President which requires they go overseas and say horrid things about the country they wanted to lead?

John Kerry went to Davos, Switzerland to hobnob with the rich and famous and took that opportunity to say that President George W. Bush has led the US to being a sort of "international pariah."

Kerry said:

"When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy."

To be scrupulously fair to Senator Kerry, he has some standing to say that. He is the US Senate's current champion of duplicity and hypocrisy and - as this appearance demonstrates again - terrible messages, so he knows what he's talking about.

John Kerry was a member of the US Senate when, in 1997, it voted 95-0 to send a resolution to the President (that would be President CLINTON not Bush) that it would not approve the Kyoto treaty because it was so badly flawed.

Second. On the AIDS in Africa business, Nicholas Kristof, wrote a piece in the NY Times in July of 2005 stating:

"Mr. Bush has done much more for Africa than Bill Clinton ever did, increasing the money actually spent for aid there by two-thirds so far, and setting in motion an eventual tripling of aid for Africa."

In his State of the Union address last week, the President paid tribute to the Congress (of which Kerry is a member) saying:

[B]ecause you funded our Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the number of people receiving life-saving drugs [in Africa] has grown from 50,000 to more than 800,000 in three short years.

So, John Kerry - how to put this gently - lied.

Last summer it was just a botched joke. This winter it's a botched Senator.

Another failed candidate for President, Al Gore, did essentially the same thing about a year ago in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah Economic Forum.

According to an AP report, Gore said the, "U.S. government committed 'terrible abuses' against Arabs after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and that most Americans did not support such treatment."

Reporter Jim Krane wrote, "Gore said Arabs had been 'indiscriminately rounded up' and held in 'unforgivable' conditions."

As I related in MULLINGS last February: The Arab News, in its piece reported by Hasan Hatrash, showed Gore playing domestic American politics: "[Gore] said he and his Democratic Party colleagues have opposed illegal detention of Arabs in the United States."

Imagine the wailing and keening of the national press corps if a senior Republican had said either of those things during the reign of Bill Clinton. Every person who had every donated to the Republican party would have been required to answer for them.

The crop of candidates running for the Democratic nomination in 2008 all supported Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004.

The US press corps should, at a minimum, ask Clinton, Obama, Biden, and the rest of them if they agree with Kerry and Gore.

If the Democratic candidates do anything less than condemn their former standard-bearers, then they are guilty of agreeing with the slander.

On a sad and personal note, the Washington bureau chief of the NY Post, Deborah Orin, died yesterday of stomach cancer at the age of 59.

Deb was never a favorite of the Washington press corps because - in spite of having graduated from Harvard, and studying at the Sorbonne - she never intellectually ran with the crowd.

She was a tenacious reporter and political coverage in America will be diminished by her passing.

On the Secret Decoder Ring page today: Links to the Kerry and Gore foolishness; and a link to the NY Post's obit for Deb Orin. Also a Mullfoto which will help you understand how the news business in Washington works; and a Catchy Caption of the day.

Traitor
Any lawyers out there?

I cannot remember when I have ever heard Sen. John F. Kerry speak positively of this nation, it's people and/or traditions. In my memory, he has consistently voted to radicalize the federal government and judiciary. He has lied before congress regarding soldiers and vets of Viet Nam. This cast a negative view of this formerly great nation around the world. He has consistently degraded our military through votes and speech. He has, during time of war, gone overseas and given aid and comfort to the enemies of this nation, North Vietnamese and Islamofascists. This latest escapade in switzerland is the final straw for me.

Is there no way for a private citizen to bring charges of sedition or treason against the esteemed senator from Massachusetts? It is a cinch that NO govt. agency nor individual will do it.

These arrogant b@st@rds must be shown there are consequences for their actions! A successful trial, conviction and sentencing of this low life pond scum would be a strong message to those who would hide behind an ACLU version of OUR constitution and defeat the republic from within.

john-boy
So john kerry - how to put this gently, lied.

john kerry, how to put this gently, has had plenty of practice.

Can I safely say
That Kerry fought for the country before he fought against it?

Lydia: great idea!
We should at least be able to revoke their citizenship and let them stay wherever they like better that the USA. Goes for politicians, celebrities, and academics.

Al Gore
Considering the fact that North America is in a deep freeze right now -- it's 20 degrees in Orlando and all the Snowbirds and kiddies are freezing their tooshies off at $1500 per week, for Lord's sake -- I expect Al Gore is on suicide watch right now. A few more weeks of this and there goes the Oscar.

"Do not be like those who pray on the street corners so others will see how pious they are. For I say to you, that is their only reward."

Kerry and Gore have received the Sixties Stamp on their brows -- and that is all the reward they will ever get. The waters will close over their heads and they will be gone. But look for them both to show up at the funeral of Fidel Castro if they ever get around to admitting he's actually dead.

Goof balls....kerry, gore
Any government worker, especially congressman who down this country should not be collecting a paycheck from this government. Besides that, kerry doesn't work for it. You don't work, you don't eat. Simply put, period.

Kerry doesn't need to work
because the one job he's good at -- giggolo -- has solved that problem for life.

It's quite simple really
Galen asks:

"What is it about Democrats who have lost elections for President which requires they go overseas and say horrid things about the country they wanted to lead?"

The answer is simple. Gore and Kerry are behaving EXACTLY like the last person who was interested in you romantically and was rejected.

Instead of going around singing your praises, as he/she would do if he/she were your paramour, he/she now goes around telling everyone what a sh*t you are.

This phenomenon is even worse if the rejected one is an ex with whom you've shared your bed. And in the cases of both Kerry and Gore we are talking about exes who have been as close to the Presidency as you can get without being there; very similar to the "sharing the bed" concept.

If you examine their behavior in this light it makes perfect sense; for guys that have no class.

Others?
Surely we must add Jimminy Carter to the list of goofballs!

The one difference
The people of Tennessee already "divorced" Gore; those of Taxachussets haven't yet done so with Kerry (of course, they have an even longer record with Drunken Teddy).

ROUND EM UP!
I'd take my vacation time to ride herd on a liberal traitor round up and process them for exile to Cuba.

Air-dropped from 35,000 ft sans parachute!

The NY Slime headline would read: "STUPID BOMBS dropped on Cuba."

Treason
I would love to see Kerry prosecuted for treason, but since that is unlikely I would settle for having his citizenship and passport revoked. Citizenship can be revoked if he is found to hold office in a foreign country, serve in the armed forces of a country at war with us, or he votes in a foreign election.

svpallava
Good point.

Tennessee dumped because he abandoned his priniples to pursue his amvition to become President.

Before Gore first ran for the Presidency in 1988 he had a near perfect voting record in support of the right to own guns and against abortion.

After he began running for Prez, and subsequently agreed to be Clinton'sVP, his record on these two issues reversed to appease the Democrat Party's base.

As a result, his own home state threw him over in 2000, going for Bush. If Gore could have carried his own home state in 2000 he would have been President.

But the larger point here, and especially as it relates to the article, is that this is what we get too often from Democrat pols because as a party they have no governing principle that overrides their main objective, which is that Democrats must be in power at any and all other cost.

Something about Davos
There must be something in the air or water in Davos, Switzerland that makes people say stupid things. It was at that same Davos symposium that the CNN guy said the American military was purposefully targeting and killing journalists. At least he lost his job. I am in the process of looking for a job. I see LOTS of openings in Massachussetts, but no way I would want to live there. It looks like a lot of other people feel the same. And this is in academia! Sweet irony.

How on earth
did the fine people of Massachussetts see their way clear to elect Mitt Romney after years of sending a lying gigilo traitor and a drunken murderer to the Senate?

I agree
Jimmy Carter should have been added to this list.

These 3 men have done so much harm to our country with their lying bravado. Carter's new book is abominable. Kerry's trip to Switzerland and his verbal spewings prove once again that, thank God, George W. Bush was elected in 2004. Can you imagine where our country would be now if Kerry had been elected? I shudder to think.

Gore is a hypocrite. He sold out his values for the VP seat with Clinton. I have no respect for the man.

It's a sad, sorry state our country is in when the media focuses on these three losers for wisdom and insight.

God help us.

Gotta add Cowboy to the list
Because liberals cannot admit the reason they hate Bush--he is an avowed Christian-- they just blather on and on and try to bring him down with their vile words--well the vile words WILL rebound upon those who spew them. They will wonder what hit them--but my favorite thought is that God WILL show them exactly why they are reaping the whirlwind from their sins!!!
My thoughts toward these vile-spewing persons have to be in line with God's word--in that I must pray for their salvation. I wish I could express the aggravation and frustration they bring---but then I still remind myself that indeed, GOD is their judge--and He is so much wiser than I in bringing about His will. Praise God.

Repeat of idea
I believe!
BDS exists
Bush Derangement Syndrome exists.
Mention Bush and the victim goes into fits.

Known to interfer with rational thought in severe cases.

Goofballs?
I laugh every time a conservative seems puzzled that a liberal lies.

Liberals are experts at lying. That's how they survive. That and redefining words to mean something entirely different than what they have always meant.

Kerry, Gore, Dean, Hitlery--all of the lefties in power do best what liberals do best-obfuscate, lie, accuse conservatives of doing everything they do with contempt of course.

When you have supposed Catholics or other Christians blatantly defying and dissenting from the tenets of the faith they profess, why would anyone trust anything they say? If you can't even be true to your faith and worse, remain a member of the faith community you disparage and try to thwart at every opportunity, what right minded person would trust them? Why would anyone believe anything they said without absolute verification?

FOWG - Private Suit Against Kerry
I don't think there is a way to bring a private criminal suit against Kerry, but you could try to file a Qui Tam suit (brought individually on behalf of the U.S.) for monetary damages. Hit 'em where it hurts - in his wife's pocketbook.

Three Goofballs
It really is a shame that assassination is no longer en vogue.

Kimberly
You are definitely dreaming. If Gore was so good , why didn't he and Clinton get Bin Laden, when they had the chance (8 years) , why didn't Gore enlist Clinton in solving global warming.

Gore and Kerry lost. You want to talk election fraud. In New Mexico , 400 votes appeared magically in a drawer in the county clerks office, just enough to give the state to Kerry.
Kerry and company tried to keep military personnel overseas from voting because thay were afraid most of them would vote for Bush. The media reporting polls closed when they were still open. These are just a few of the problems.

The history goes back to LBJ in Texas. When he ran for office, it was said that the people of Starr county loved him so much that they rose from the dead and voted for him in alphabetical order.
