Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

President Obama has repeatedly expressed his concern about our rising unemployment. The worst losses of jobs are in manufacturing, because building autos has gone overseas, and in construction, because the housing industry has tanked.

When Obama announced his stimulus appropriation, he promised millions of "shovel-ready" jobs. Many people worried about increasing the national debt to create government jobs, but his proposal was attractive because it conjured up visions of crews in hard hats repairing our nation's infrastructure, roads, bridges and electrical grids, and building long-needed highways and schools.

We were told that the purpose of this extraordinary deficit spending in the stimulus package was to jolt the economy. We expected the money to be concentrated on the areas that have suffered the steepest decline during this recession, such as the auto industry and housing construction.

But the feminists then demonstrated the death grip they hold over Obama and the leaders of the Democratic Party. The feminists swung into action with noisy accusations that the stimulus discriminated against women because its jobs would go mostly to men.

The feminists had no sympathy with the fact that men were victims of most of the lost jobs because the majority of manufacturing and construction jobs are men's jobs. The segments of our economy dominated by women -- social services, education, health, childcare and welfare -- have actually gained jobs during this recession.

Nevertheless, the feminists demanded that half the stimulus jobs be given to women. The feminists worked to achieve this result by directing the stimulus funds into the types of jobs where women predominate and by allocating at least a third of the spending in manufacturing and construction industries to training women for those men's jobs.

All the feminist organizations joined in the political clatter. They called for a meeting so they could lecture Obama's economic advisers and hurl their demands that the stimulus package create jobs that women like, such as workplace-comfortable inside jobs with air-conditioned offices and carpeted floors.

As one tactic to intimidate Obama administration officials, the feminists successfully insisted that participants in the meeting be seated in a circle without a table between them -- a format that enabled the feminists to be confrontational. The feminists created their own vocabulary to shout at the men, demanding jobs for "human infrastructure" and "human bridges," which were euphemisms for social service, health-care, childcare and librarian jobs.

The feminists were well aware that Obama's chief economist is Larry Summers, the former president of Harvard University, who had already proven himself a pushover for pushy feminists. His embarrassing confrontation with hysterical feminist faculty over academic math and science professorships proved that there is no way to appease the feminists and that apologizing to them only makes matters worse -- they still demanded their pound of flesh and saw to it that he resign.

After working over the administration representatives assigned to get their orders from the feminists, they moved on to lobby Congress to write their demands into the text of the stimulus bill. They succeeded with the compliance of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid after face-to-face meetings, and Obama signed the revised stimulus bill.

A member of Pelosi's staff dared to offer the suggestion that "apron ready" could be the female equivalent of the term "shovel ready." The feminists didn't think that was funny.

Unemployment figures show that men are continuing to lose jobs and that women are getting jobs created by the stimulus bill. The Associated Press reported in June that "social programs get bulk of stimulus cash; state 'shovel-ready' jobs take back seat to spending on health care, welfare."

Obama gave two of his economists the task of calculating the gender ratio of jobs to be created by the stimulus legislation. They reported that women had only 20 percent of jobs lost in the recession but would get 42 percent of stimulus-created jobs.

In Georgia, for example, two-thirds of the $3.9 billion stimulus money will go to existing social programs.

Despite the recent welcome Ricci decision by the Supreme Court against egregious reverse discrimination on the basis of race, the feminists can look forward to Sonia Sotomayor joining the high court and ruling that "empathy" requires reverse discrimination for women. After all, when she was on the Second Circuit, she upheld affirmative action in the Ricci case, and her own words (repeated many times) reveal that she believes a woman's view of the law can be better than a man's.

When are the American people going to wake up to the fact that the feminists are not for equal opportunity or fairness? The feminist movement is for reverse discrimination to give jobs to women and make men, husbands and fathers irrelevant as family providers.

There you have it.
Phyllis, with a straight face, informs us that the problem with the slow response to stimulus money kicking in is...

__________ (insert "feminists")

__________ (insert "gays")

__________ (insert "atheists")

On a socially conservative website, it's always one of these three boogeymen.

See, the problem with making a career out of demonizing feminists, as Phyllis has done, is: even when no discernible "feminist" problem exists, you have to make one up, add one into the storyline, stuff a square peg into a round hole.

Phyllis is a dinosaur who is now peddling fake feminist plotlines in order to supply her column commitments. Time to put the old dinosaur to pasture I fear.

Who is the fake, Will?
A tedious, easily toppled strawman argument from another leftist living in his mother's basement. Ms. Schlafly has spent decades in public life, as a conservatrive for values that half of the nation cares about very deeply. Unlike you, she has the courage of her convictions, and is willing to be judged in the public square by putting forth her opinions and evidence thereof. You, on the other hand, make an ad hominem attack on her, use a strawman argument, and do not make any sort of argument or provide any evidence that Schlafly is wrong.

You lack the intellectual courage to make an argument and be judged in the public square, as everyone is. What a coward you are.

Is this the homosexual agenda? Part I
Michael Swift, “Goals of the Homosexual Movement,” Gay Community News, 15-21 February 1987

Quoted in bringing up Boys by Dr James Dobson

We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of your shallow dreams and vulgar lies. We
Shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms, in your sports
Arenas, in your seminaries, in your youth groups, in your movie theater bathrooms, in your army bunkhouses, in your
Truck stops, in your all-male clubs, in your houses of Congress, wherever men are with men together. Your sons
Will become our minions and do our bidding. They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us.

All laws banning homosexual activity will be revoked. Instead legislation shall be passed which engenders love between men. All homosexuals must stand together as brothers; we must be united artistically, philosophically, socially,
Politically, and financially. We will triumph only when we present a common face to the vicious heterosexual enemy.

Is this the homosexual agenda? Part II

The family unit—spawing ground of lies, betrayals, mediocrity, hypocrisy and violence—will be abolished. The
Family unit, which only dampens imagination and curbs free will must be eliminated. Perfect boys will be conceived and grown in the genetic laboratory. They will be bonded together in a communal setting, under the control and instruction of homosexual savants.

All churches who condemn us will be closed. Our only gods are handsome young men. We adhere to a cult of
Beauty, moral and esthetic. All that is ugly and vulgar and banal will be annihilated. Since we are alienated from middle-
Class heterosexual conventions, we are free to live our lives according to the dictates of the pure imagination. For us too
Much is not enough.

We shall be victorious because we are filled with the ferocious bitterness of the oppressed who have been forced to play seemingly bit parts in your dumb, heterosexual shows throughout the ages. We too are capable of firing guns, and manning the barricades of the ultimate revolution.

Tremble, hetero swine, when we appear before you without our masks.

Henry
This column addresses the feminists, not the homosexuals.

ZaWs to the left of me...
Right again, Phyllis! ( You know what a "zaw" is,I think. Check with Bucky.)

Phyllis Should Learn from the Boys..
I have yet to hear Christopher Cox criticize Christopher Dodd.. or Hank Paulson for that matter.. and yet these three stood at or near the apex during the greatest financial debacle in this Country's history.. a multi-trillion dollar fiasco and yet none of them has a harsh word for the other..?!

now Phyllis wants to criticize the "feminists" for the failure of the "stimulus" bill..? She can't think of ANY other reason this bill is a failure..? just curious what she hopes to gain once she is standing on a heap of "feminists"?

the truth is she will gain nothing and women will do far better in this world when they start supporting one another the way the men do.. as it is, strong women like Sarah Palin have to constantly fend for themselves while they are demonized by everyone including their own sex.. and all for the "reward" of being a public servant!..

Wake up Phyllis
"But the feminists then demonstrated the death grip they hold over Obama and the leaders of the Democratic Party"

Phyllis - I really enjoy your columns and appreciate your efforts, but you need to wake up. The feminists hold a death grip on the Dems and the Repubs. That outcome should be expected when you have feminism and chivalry both influencing society.

Our current social norm is for females to be scrapping for the spoils of political battles, and males still trying to protect and make the womenfolk happy.

This is a crazy world we have created.

Dear Ms. Schlafly
While I admire and appreciate you views, I must comment on the "Shovel Ready" Jobs. As far as I'm concerned the feminists can have all the "Shovel Ready" jobs. They are going to need a lot of shovels to scoop up the fecies that Obama is dishing out.

Dear Ms. Schlafly

Wow Will
For weeks now you've acted like a jilted bride left at the alter. Oh, I forgot, you can't get married in California. And I thought Obama was going to help you....at least, that's what you said. Tsk...tsk...maybe you should put your energy and anger towards those who truly deceived you.

One complaint
Though I understand the purpose of the article was to criticize "feminism", I think it's probably a little bit of a stretch to write as if the Obama administration only complied because they were brow-beaten into doing so. I'm sure they were more then happy to sacrifice the economic well being of Americans at the altar of diversity.

will is just mad
because the pet store didn't tell him, that a Gerbils first instinct is to run away.

What this brand of feminist needs
is to be rounded up and dropped off on an uninhabited place with no food, clothing, or shelter. Then they would be required harness their collective intellect, skill, and strength to actually deal with dire circumstances. I do not think demanding, complaining, and whining will be useful tactics in this context- which is all most of those stupid cows have the skills to do at this time. Reality is and always has been the best teacher; we've taken to either bending it or disposing of it altogether.

Will
You didn't read Phyllis's article- not a word. She does not now nor does she ever "demonize"; the specific examples of behaviors of some groups does that well enough on its own. Phyllis simply reports and comments on actual events and behaviors

I think you have demonized older people , "put the old dinosaur out to pasture". Caught ya profiling!

BTW- in my field there are plenty of unrealistic ladies who identify themselves as "feminists" (constantly) who are the first to complain that men hold "a disproportionate amount of jobs in construction" (this complaint last Thursday was the topic at lunch), but they themselves cannot even change a tire, a simple plumbing fixture, window replacement, etc... They are also the first ones to scream (I do mean scream if the guys are late) for maintenance men to move a desk across a room that can easily be slid by one person. Indulged women (indulged anyone, really) are annoying and tiresome.

One woman who this country needs now...
Sarah Palin is our best chance as a focal point of Conservative leadership for America and we as concerned conservative citizens must protect her image from the Main Stream Media's torrent of hate.

What the main stream media is trying to do is to diminish Sarah Palin's reputation to a point that we are denied a leader in the Conservative movement in America.

For those of you that think the main stream media can't destroy a person if they are strong enough, look what the Democrats and the MSM did to George W. Bush over the last eight years.

If we let them do that to Sarah Palin we will never have a person we can rally around and knock the Washington ruling political class out of their positions of power. That of course is why they have been attacking her 24/7 since last august.
And just in case it wasn't obvious, we need her NOW, not for the 2012 election. If we don't put the fear of death into the current bunch of sitting politicans in Washington, right now, they will have totally bankrupted this country long before the election of 2012.

Stand up for Sarah Palin and don't let the drip, drip, drip of hatred that so obviously brainwashed the population against George W.Bush be used again against her.
Act now and save this country from the left, before it is too late. We need a spokesman and a leader and Sarah Palin is what God has sent us.

Take it and help push it forward. Counter every attempt of a liberal talking head to diminish her and shove it right in their faces.

The coming civil rights movement
Since the early 1980's, American society has been attacking everything male. Schlafly has it right here, affirmative retribution is far more about benefiting white middle/upper class women than either minorities or the disadvantaged.

In some states, higher education is now 60% female (and rising), in many communities the girls go to college while the boys go to jail.

There are a variety of mens' issues - child custody/support divorce/restraining orders, etc. With the male unemployment rate hovering 2-4% higher than the female one, with women being trained for and given jobs instead of more qualified men, the current economic condition will be the "Kent State" that sparks the smoldering discontent into an actual movement.

Why had I not heard any of this?
Great article, I had not heard this but that's really not supprising with the Obama sycophant propaganda machine (MSM) churning out nothing but BS.

will - CA @ 12:20 AM
Will's coment: "See, the problem with making a career out of demonizing feminists, as Phyllis has done, is: even when no discernible "feminist" problem exists."

Well, Will, have you ever worked with or supervised any of these demanding feminists?
I have and most of them expect special treatment and are pushing to other employees. They think their ovaries are testicles.

I once hired a gay man for a sales position. He came to work one morning with make up on his face, eye shadow, rouge and lipstick. I told him to wash his face before he met with the public. He must have thought his testicles were ovaries.

Having owned three different buisnesses I've seen it all in the work place and the problem does exist. I was a big supporter of the women's movement in the 1960's, but many have become extremist today. It is not a matter of demonizing any group, it is a matter of reality.

Nickel
I agreex with your post. When Sarah is mentioned in my place of employment, there are invariably groans and the shaking of heads. When pressed, no one- and I do mean NO ONE- can point to a single thing negative about her that they weren't told to think by others! Not one person can point to her record as governor and complain. What I hear is: "She's only a governor of a nothing state", "She was in a beauty contest" (yeah- for college tuition), "Tina Fey made her look dumb", and "She kills wolves for fun". When I point out her executive record, its "Well, its only Alaska". When I point out Alaska's energy and strategic importance, I get the dumb goat look.

People don't know WHY they don't like her, just as many don't know WHY they voted for Obama. I go from the angle of illustrating how they've been told what to think and provoke discomfort with having been so gullible.

Wacko Shafly
This is the biggest hunk of Baloney. You never heard of this cause it never happened. As to Shafly going back to the 60's she has held the same conspiratorial view that the Feminist movement is out to take over America. There are a lot of special interests sloshing out their but Feminists fighting to make sure the stimulas money went to jobs for women just does not meet the smell test.

Yes, money in the stimulas when to the states who did lobby for money to save teachers fire fighters and police jobs, but any suggestion that oraganized femistist were behind this is just plain stupid.

There are a lot of reasons to question the wisdom is the stimulas but this is the dumest one I ever heard.

oldsocialworker
Here is one. She claimed to be opposed to the bridge to know where when in fact she was in favor of it until it was clear that it would not happen anyway. She did everything in her power to get every dollar she could from the Federal Government and then claimed to be against pork barrel spending. She was called out on this point several times and continued to tell a lie about it in speech after speech during the campaign. Please explain this contradiction between her stated beliefs and her record on an issue central to he views as a conservative.

Nickel
I would like you hear defend Palin's quitting her job as governor of Alaska in her first term. Politics is brusing look at what Hillary Clinton had to put up with from the far right but she did not quit. Palin had delusions of grandeur but was not willing to do the hard work. And like so many other conservatives when things get hard and when you screw up easier to blame the media then yourself.

As to GWB it seems that many conservatives don't share your view. They see him as a weak and ineffectual President that is responsible for the demise of their movement. You give the press too much credit.

Ms. Shafly
I read about this in the Weekly Standered also. The sad fack is that this is our country as a whole. Give me money for being an american. My folks died, give me some money. I have a baby and I'm 14-20, give me money. Yep we need more money spent on this. The "one" promased change, and now you are getting it.
Kirk

Collectivism trumps Reason
Liberals only understand the concept of group achievement. They couch everything in the language of collectivism. Thus, any inequality (whether justified or not) between any groups, racial gender or class, must be eliminated because that represents the ultimate evil. Reason, merit, and fairness are of no importance compared to the collective's good. Feminists harbor these intentions, using scare tactics and fallacious claims of discrimination as their weapons of choice. The most impressive feminist achievement: turning half the population (females) into a MINORITY?!?

I blog about similar issues from a conservative viewpoint at my blog: http://www.onestdv.blogspot.com

oldsocialworker
I enjoy your posts so much! I get the same reaction from my kids's friends moms about Sarah Palin. Especially the ones who work in education and social services. They actually spit her name out of their mouths when we talk about her but they just can't articulate why they, individually don't like her. They sound like the media talking points that circulate ad nauseum on the major news networks.

Meanwhile back at the point...
The stated purpose of the Stimulus Bill was to spend lots of money (all earned by the people who would not be spending it) in ways that would increase long-term employment, improve the value of American corporations, and thereby reverse the horrendous slide of the stock market.

How are we all doing since the Bill was signed into law by President B.O.?

Since the implementation of the Stimulus Law, our nation has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs each month, GM and Chrysler and a great many banks have declared bankruptcy and become government property, the stock market has continued to wallow in the doldrums, and the money is gone. All of it. A trillion -- that's one thousand thousand thousand thousand dollars -- is gone.

That's no surprise, if half the jobs money in the bill went to areas of the economy that did not need stimulus money. (That, gentle souls, was the point of Phyllis' article; a claim which has thus far remained unrefuted -- the money was deliberately wasted in order to make political hay.)

Leading Democrats, despite the Executive Department asking them very nicely not to, have now called the upcoming Cap and Trade bill a "job-killer."

I wonder:

Harry Truman's desktop sign said "The Buck Stops Here." Perhaps the sign on President B.O.'s desk should read "The Buck Stops Breathing Here."

JMO51
There is no response that can be offered, because you have taken information about Sarah Palin from sources that agree with your basic ideology and now call it truth-especially cute is the bridge to "know where":). You then take these assumed truths and attempt to put others on the defensive to defend why so and so (in this case, Sarah Palin) did thus and such.

In all jobs that require tough decision making and ever-changing circumstances, new information emerges and decisions that were at one time suitable have to be modified or changed altogether. It simply suits your worldview to assign nefarious motivations to Sarah Palin when she has been in such positions.

So- no matter what information is presented to defend what you beieve Sarah did- it will be filtered through the court of your head where the judgement has already been made, the verdict in, and sentence passed: no new information need apply.

I notice your little neuro-court system is off to the races about Sarah's resignation. The fact is, none of us have enough information regarding her motivation, but you are somehow confident that you know she cut and run. Just because you think something, JMO, doesn't make it so.

I give up
Liberals, you win. Where do I sign up for a handout?

JM051
You attack this article but show no signs of reading it. Your atrocious spelling is very annoying-- please use spell check. Your baseless and unsupported allegations about Palin and the stimulus bill are just ridiculous. Try to use fact check of some sort.

The whole matter was covered in the Weekly Standard with proof, citations, and quotes from the people involved. In truth, 80% of the lost jobs in this recession were males. Yet the stimulus provides massive and disproportionate aid to women. He knows where is voters are.

Feminists and
metro-sexual wuss males(I lament the loss of real men in our society)have almost completely feminized our culture. BTW, the percentage of men who have lost jobs far exceeds that of women.

Results oriented...
American is a results oriented country. It always has been. Oftentimes the means of achievement is overshadowed by the results attained. For example, a doctor can make six figures per year in income. People seem to forget that they also had to do well in high school in order to get into a good college. They had to spend 8 years of grad and post grad time in college, plus years of internship and rounds. They had to take out 250,000+ in loans (more often than not). They don't actually get into profit til their late 40s.
Sometimes the only way to control the results is by controlling the opportunity of attaining them. The problem is there are too many different factors to consider when trying to do that. So be it feminists or minorities trying to control these results standards are being lowered for those not willing to sacrifice in order to acheive.

PlanoBlue
Schlafly and I post facts. You post insults. Well, everybody has to do what they do best.

stop and think
Does it matter how successful or not special advocacy groups bicker over who gets to eat how much first?

Isn't it more important to sense that the monstrous stimulus bill has not started enough shovel ready or anything else to make a difference?

Isn't it time to realize that if you want people to get money to spend and cause demand that takes jobs to fill, the easiest way is to let Uncle Sam borrow money and stop taxing us! We end up owing half as much because half of the money doesn't go to creating more bureacrats to tell us how they want to control spending of our money!

We need a new election to promote change?

JOBS
Oh so now it is men'as jobs and women's jobs?!?!
Wasn't the original battle cry for EQUALITY; women could do anything a man could do?!?! OH, I see, it's because women don't want to go into combat like Canadian women!!!

R W

Cats & Dogs

From the my very first experiences with the criminal court system as a law student, I can tell you that a defense attorney wants cat lovers on the jury.

Dog owners will, almost always, convict.

Cat owners will, almost always, aquit. They always whine when males get into trouble. I have often wondered where the Hell were all of the family members waited until a young man got into trouble before they became hysterical.

Women are hardest on other women. They very often will condemn the rape victim and acquit the rapist.

Wow
I've not seen this reported elsewhere. Good stuff. btw, which minority group is for fairness? Isn't "fairness" code for "me first"? For example, how are reparations fair?

The reason you haven't seen this
"reported elsewhere" is that it comes entirely from Ms. Phyl's imagination. She probably doesn't wear pants, so I'll just say "liar, liar, panties on fire."

For 30 years now she's been the world's most mysoginistic women. Never did get that sex change operation into a male, so she retaliates by denigrating women and trying to force them back to the days when they were powerless, creatures waiting for their men to take care of them. Hmmm -- just like the Taliban do today.

Time to retire, Phyl -- you're way, way past your prime and your ideas and opinions are archaic and useless.

Mrs. Schlafly
I wanted to say that I truly appreciate you and the work you do to restore sanity to the fabric of America. The haters want you to go away, and I hope you never go away. Sarah Palin has done a lot to expose 21st Century Feminism just like the Book, "Green Hell" has exposed the dreams and aspirations of the Liberals and the Moderates. Please keep writing and do not let the haters discourage you. Until the American People return to the values that made this country great, a Mrs. Schlafly will always be needed. I hope that is one of the reasons Sarah Palin resigned as Gov. of Alaska. I hope when these man haters run you off to the pasture as some stated to bake cakes and quilt, Sarah will be right there to take your place.

When will they wake up?
When they repent for their sins and pray that God Almighty will deliver us from our enemies.

This "Velociraptor" of truth will never go away and is in fact bearing down on all those who love lies.

PlanoBlue
"Well, aren't you and Mrs. Shoo Fly special?"

Yes.

The issue is examined at length in the 7/6 issue I think) of the Weekly Standard. The sources for it are cited, and the information is correct, unless you can show otherwise.

Is a denial that the information exists the best you can do? Pretty weak.

PlanoBlue
What does Sarah Palin have to do with the subject, which the disproportionate stimulus jobs targeted by women at the behest of feminists?

The only possible reason is that you can't deal with the original subject, and desperately hope to change it to a subject you are more comfortable with-- Palin bashing.

PlanoBlue
"Quitty McQuitsalot You betcha I dig Bible Spice bashing, just like a lot of REPUBLICANS........there, and also." How delightfully incoherent. Exactly how old are you, Scooter?

JMO51

"I would like you hear defend Palin's quitting her job as governor of Alaska in her first term."

Obama quit his job in the senate after only one year in his first term. What's the difference?

PlanoBlue
Ahhh! A change in tactics! Keep on bashing Palin (who I don't particularly support) and add personal insults to make it an insult match!

You'll do anything to avoid addressing the subject, which is how Obama targeted a disproportionate number of stimulus jobs for women at the behest of the feminists. You're so afraid of that topic you'll even do a Jim Carrey imitation to get out of it. That's some scared, Scooter.

ei
Try reading the Weekly Standard . They had this in the last issue. I also believe it is on Power Line blog. Try checking something out before you say it’s a lie.
Kirk

Bob C
The difference is that the “one” became POTUS, and we are a lesser country for it.
Kirk

Eh, Wee Cup
Schlafly does not cover everything so her whole article is useless?

Okay.

Your post does not cover everything she wrote, therefore your post covers even less of the subject.

Your post by your standards...

Kirk
I don't care what his reason was. He quit his job as a United States Senator after serving only one of the six years he was elected to serve.

I don't care what Sarah Palin's reason is either. She quit after serving only two of four years. She gave her notice and that's that.

Everyone has the right to quit their job. I've done it to better myself and so have most of us who work for a living. So to all the whiney little halfwits like JMO51 who're mewling like little kittens, I say shut the phuque up. It's none of your damned business.

PianoBlue

"I've been on DK which is so much funnier than this web-site."

You've got THAT right. You have a firm grasp of the obvious.

PianoBlue

The difference between you and me is that you're so easily amused you really think you're amusing. I find you about as funny as a rotting corpse. I didn't find snarky, infantile clowns like you funny when I was in high school, never mind now that I'm an adult.

And apparently you DON'T have a firm grasp of the obvious. DK is a joke, but it's not funny.

PIANO BLUE
I've read your frustration and angst posted here on townhall.

SARAH PALIN - she should go back to the kitchen and keep her mouth shut.

Phyllis Schlafly - She needs to stand away from the typewriter because she doesn't know what she is talking about.

Townhall - should be shut down for the good of all Liberals. Too much stress for them.

Did I get it right? Feel better now?

I Normally Like Phyllis' Columns
And it's no exception this time, save for the beginning and the end.

"President Obama has repeatedly expressed his concern about our rising unemployment."

Sorry, Phyllis, but he hasn't. Unless by "expressed" you mean "half-heartedly faked."

The truth is that Obama doesn't give a rat's about unemployment, about people's wealth evaporating, about citizens getting impoverished or even about our country remaining safe. He made it abundantly clear in the last few months that he watches all this with detached amusement.

As long as he can implement his sophomoric agenda of a starry-eyed marxist whose understanding of the world was formed by radical books, batty pastors and unrepentant terrorists--as long as he can do all this, the rest of us are nothing but enablers to be cajoled at best and enemies to be silenced at worst.

"When are the American people going to wake up to the fact that the feminists are not for equal opportunity or fairness?"

Well, Phyllis, this is going to happen at the same time that we wake up to realize that Islam is not a peaceful religion, that waterbording is not the same as willful torture, that the second amendment is not about goose-hunting, that the first is not about banning religion and sanctifying abortion, that the Democratic party is not the party of the "little people" and that Liberalism is a self-destructive mental disorder.

Given who we have just elected, I'm not optimistic about this taking place any time soon.

I encountered you on the Giles thread this weekend and have concluded that you are one unhappy dude/dudette.
Perhaps your seratonin levels are too low and your endorphines are MIA.
You claim to be amused here on TH, but if that were true, you would have no need to mention it because it would be obvious. The only thing that is obvious to me is the fact that you have anger issues coupled with a gigantic chip that is festering atop your shoulder blade.
I want to help you get rid of your unacknowledged pain, so if a vicious name calling attack on me for writing this comment to you will relieve you, then by all means, have at it. Get it all out PlanoBlue.
Also, consider getting hooked up with a good health care professional and get some meds for your seratonin and endorphine levels. Alcohol just depletes them, so get the meds, okay?

Now you're getting shrill and even more incoherent and irrational than usual.

Bub bye, imbecile. And always remember, we can't miss you if you don't stay away.

Guys
don't feed the trolls, and they won't come back. It's a pity that these threads get bogged down by a handful of morons who don't know their purple lips from their big ears.

PIANO BLUE
I am so happy that you have found a place to get your laughs. I like to see people who are happy and the constitution provides for your right of the pursuit of happiness.

Yeah, you're right. We are suckers. The United States is full of suckers who don't stand up and tell everyone what is going on in Washington DC, how our liberties are being eroded, how we will all be paying double taxes with the DEMS agenda, how our constitution is stepped on with 20 Czars and the Rule of LAW was broken when Inspector General Walpin was fired, how congress dosen't want to investigate the fraudulent ACORN, and the possibility of the USA going broke if the energy bill and Healthcare are passed. Yes, we are suckers for once believing there were honest Democrats who were true patriots and make sure the USA would not go the way of California.

I have a degre in all the areas you mentioned. Currently I am working on Toenail Fungus Redirection, Boil Lancing and Wart Replacement and Rehabilitation.
It was very astute of you to root canal your way into my areas of experise. I am so happy to see you exercising your creative talents. We are making progress here. Keep up the good work!

gayle
You're a Wart Replacement expert? Can you replace Plano with someone sane?

PlanoBlue
Thanks so much for noticing that I am getting the hang of it__which reminds me,I also have a degree in Well Hung Literally, which specializes in giving people just enough rope with which to hang themselves. It's really satisfying work. We'll do more tomorrow.

Robert
You ask if I could use my Wart Replacement expertise to replace Plano with someone sane. I think it is too late for the Compound W applications. Perhaps a combination of Uric Acid & Sulpher would do the trick. I'll need to consult my notes in that class for this case.

Feminists are not real women
Look at how they treated Paula Jones and Sarah Palin. And if that gets their flannel shirts and boxer shorts in a knot, tough s**t.

PlanoBlue
Is that the best you can do Plano? Come on, let it all hang out, sweetie. Paleo-cons against transvestites? My understanding is that they just don't like to go against transvestites.

gayle
"Perhaps a combination of Uric Acid & Sulphur " Yessss. . . I'd go with the acid, gayle.

Piano Glue
You are a freaking idiot, my dog makes more sense than you. Get your hands out of your pants boy! Stand up straight! Wipe that smile off yor face.....

PlanoBlue
I thought we were having fun here Plano, and you had to ruin it with an unbelievably puerile comment.
How can we make any progress when you won't do your part? Now get some rest, try a little jog in the morning to get those endorphines activated and perhaps your brain will be able to maintain some coherency. You can do it Plano!
Nighty-nite.

I WANT my man to have the freakin' job.
Here's the rub: if you're going to have one parent in a family unemployed, it should be the mother. Sorry. Men are better suited to work outside the home, women to raising the babies. It's not enculturation, it's not the patriarchy, it's not bible-thumpers -- it is Mother Nature. We give birth, our genetic survival is wrapped in the one child per year or two we have, and therefore we are more suited by nature to raise the kids.

We're not all single women out here, and it would be nice if someone paid attention to the issues of wife/mothers as well as the single moms and career women.

That doesn't mean I don't work; I do, and hard. But I also recognize that the natural role of breadwinner falls to my husband, and it's part of his psyche as well as his nature. A man who can't earn a living for his family will feel less of a man -- may do bad things -- and may ultimately become exactly the kind of a-hole hardcore feminists think all men are.

So go on, tell me I'm a woman traitor or whatever. I know I'm right, and nothing anyone says can shake that.

PLANO @ 5:45

Plano, Plano, Plano,

You are sick, sick, sick.

Thank goodness a majority of men in Texas are REAL MEN, not Girlie men like you.
That is, if you are of the male gender at all.
If not, there is another name for you and it rhymes with witch.
But then again, you could be both.

PLANO BLUE
The hour is late, enough of this nonsense.

Run along and play now. Hasta La Vista, Hombre.

You're right Phyllis Schlafly!
The fact is, feminists lobbied successfully to divert a very large portion of the stimulus to their agendas. It took a very large portion away from the most harmed portion of the workforce. Men!

So, don't begrudge we men, women. We resent that there is less of the pie to recover our jobs. For decades women's rights and perceptions have been that they must have some kind of ceiling to which they are not allowed to penetrate. Really? Tell that to Oprah!

It's ludicrous to keep on the same old story after proof is shown that salaries for women are not as insufficient as claimed to be. It's also wrong to claim that there are programs targeted just to men, and therefore discriminate against women. That does not justifty arguments that predominently male vocations discriminate against women. Women do not, by and large actively seek construction jobs. But, men would seek the hugely beneficial government jobs that women predominate in, even teaching, if it could be shown that men would actually obtain some proportional hiring.

I think reverse discrimination is a very valid discussion to this topic.
