Bush refuses to deny that there is a North American agenda

Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

The three-nation summit at Montebello, Quebec, was held behind closed doors, well guarded behind an intimidating fence and plenty of police, but the news conference that followed on Aug. 21 revealed more than the three heads of state had planned.

President George W. Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Mexican President Felipe Calderon all refused to deny that the Security and Prosperity Partnership is a stepping stone toward a North American Union.

The $64,000 question was posed by Fox News reporter Bret Baier. He asked all three heads of state, "Can you say today that this is not a prelude to a North American Union, similar to a European Union?"

Their response was positively sensational. Not one denied that SPP is leading to a North American Union. The White House transcript of the news conference allows us to assume that the elites of the three countries are, indeed, moving toward North American integration.

Bush insulted the questioner and those who want an answer by accusing them of believing in a "conspiracy." Bush twice said he was "amused" by such speculation, but as Queen Victoria of England famously said, "We are not amused."

Instead of addressing the crux of the question about plans to integrate the three North American countries, Bush resorted to ridicule. He sneered at his critics as "comical," and accused them of engaging in "political scare tactics" and wanting "to frighten our fellow citizens into believing that relations between us are harmful for our respective peoples."

Harper tried to trivialize the Montebello summit. He implied that the SPP meeting was merely about harmonizing different regulations on "jelly beans." Apparently, a Canadian jelly bean manufacturer had demanded standardization of the rules so his company would not have to produce different jelly beans for the United States, which bans a red dye permitted in Canada. Nobody asked: If that's all SPP is about, why such secrecy, and does SPP harmonization mean we must allow food imports using dyes we believe are dangerous?

Harper made everybody laugh when he accused his opponents of speculating that a NAFTA superhighway might go "interplanetary." Harper twice pleaded that SPP was merely a deal he inherited from his predecessor, Paul Martin, the Canadian prime minister who participated in 2005 at the first SPP summit with Bush in Waco, Texas.

Calderon chimed in to brush off what he called "jovial" and "funnier" SPP "myths." Surprise, surprise, he concentrated on demanding that the United States "barriers between ourselves" and put "more investment" in Mexico. Bush also failed to deny, and left hanging, two other parts of the Fox News reporter's well-crafted question: "Are there plans to build some kind of superhighway connecting all three countries?" and what about the "lack of transparency from this partnership?"

Bush couldn't with a straight face deny superhighway plans because Texas has already signed a contract with a Spanish company to build a limited-access, 10-lane toll road from Mexico to Oklahoma. It obviously will not dead-end at the Oklahoma border.

Nor could Bush deny the offensive lack of transparency, which excludes both Congress and the public from all SPP plans. Congress doesn't like to be ignored: 21 Republicans and one freshman Democrat recently sent a joint letter to Bush voicing "serious and growing concerns" and urging him not to "agree to any further movement in connection with the SPP."

The House further manifested its annoyance at the lack of transparency by voting 362-63 to adopt an amendment by Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., to prohibit the use of federal funds to pay for SPP working groups or to create NAFTA superhighways.

Bush pleaded that he believes in "trade," "dialogue," and "working with our neighbors" to "work out common problems." So do we all.

U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Wilkins supported his boss with an interview in an Ottawa newspaper. He ridiculed "conspiracy theories" and used another cheap debating tactic: setting up a straw man that is easy to knock down.

Wilkins implied that the purpose of the three-amigo summit in Montebello was to prevent potential threats "like those posed by pandemic flu or improperly labeled foods, for example, from penetrating our borders."

However, the current threats from pandemic flu and improperly labeled foods come from China, not Canada. The biggest North American threat of "penetrating our borders" comes from people, i.e., illegal immigrants.

As the first big visible step of North American integration, the Bush Transportation Department announced Aug. 17 that it will soon give the go-ahead to allow 100 Mexican trucking companies - with an undetermined number of trucks - to have full access to all U.S. highways and roads. This is an outrageous case of Bush thumbing his nose at the House of Representatives, which voted 411-3 on May 15 to prohibit the entry of Mexican trucks.

Bush The Liar !!!
I can't believe that I voted for this LIAR two times.

If we must have...
...a European Union style North American Union. Why not ask the Brits (also invite Iceland) to ditch their plans to enter the EU and join our North American Union. The Constitution being made a dead letter, how could there be a problem granting them a provisional type statehood based upon our native American Indian tribes so they can keep the Royal family for Great Britain & Canada. They could have about 20-25ish Reps and 8 Senators (England, Scotland, N. Ireland, Wales). Same language is a plus. Oh, and they are so much more along on the road to being assimilated into the Great Caliphate that we would greatly benefit from their experience, although at times it seems they may be having 2nd thoughts about that, and giving them yet another 3rd choice-EU, NAU, Great Caliphate, so many choices- may create a national psychosis.

scumbag traitor
Our president is a traitor. All the top tier candidates are globalists willing to sell out our country and citizens.

what is really pathetic are the morons who defend totally unacceptable candidates. Rudy, Mitt, McCain, and Fred are all on board with the agenda. It is all going on in plain sight and still people remain in denial.

One post said it right. They must be laughing at just how easy it all was. I will wager that the next president, either party, will preside over the end of our country as we know it. The people will not go peacefully and I expect the money power may pull the plug. I expect we will have economic collapse. The fed (private banking cartel) created inflation by flooding market with money. The recession has already started. They are already tightening the money supply. Killing the middle class and redistribution of all the wealth is the point.

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new world order" (one world gov) David Rockefeller

Care to place bets? I expect economic collapse and in the ensuing chaos we will be attacked. The answer will be the NAU. Read the book of Daniel. The ten "kings"/nations are in place before the anti-Christ comes on the scene. (EU is one, NAU is two, etc) when the US goes down we will take the whole world with us. Ez 37/38 isn't far off.

I believe in a pre-Trib rapture, but I think it is going to be pretty bad before then and it's not far away.

Very sad to see what has become of our once great country. righteousness exalts a nation. America deserves judgement.

Unfortunately for the Elite,
there is now a nasty little thing called the internet. The elitists cannot control information anymore, and the gig is up. Great column Ms Schlafy.

The only thing they have left is ridicule and denial, which only makes them seem even MORE suspicious.

OMT, this Spanish company contracted to build the toll road must insure their equiptment and workers. If the losses of equiptment due to "malfunction" or "improper use" were high enough, no insurance company in the world would cover the project. This thing (NAFTA SH) really could be over before it begins.

I'm looking at you, Texas. I just wonder if there are still any MEN in Texas.

What is really scary
is the way the Fox News talking heads took their cue from the three creeps at Montebello. On the Beltway Boys they fell all over themselves pitching one liners ridiculing those of us who do not want a North American Union. Even Charles Krauthammer joined in, sneeringly referring to black helicopters.

What is happening with our government? George Bush just joined the Democrats, open borders advocacy groups, and some Republican Senators in attempting to force amnesty for twenty million aliens in the country illegally. Yes, they tried to FORCE amnesty on the American people.

The politicians are sending us a message. We don't count. They don't care what we think or what we want. Insulting American citizens who voted for them makes no sense. Unless we have reached another stage in a game we didn't know was being played.

Whatch what these traitors do when they go back to Washington. Hold on to your hats. I think the gloves are coming off. The politicians are giving us the kiss off. Oh! Forget your hats. See if you can hold on to your wallets.

Schlafly
sorry abt the typo

Here is another article
Its undeniable yet is by so many.

Amazing how easily we are being changed day by day and so many are unconcerned, or appears to be.
---------

Perhaps it isn't going to be as easy for big government and big business magnates to abusively strip Americans of their homes, their businesses, and their property as they originally thought it would be following the latest Supreme Court ruling on eminent domain. In an analysis published by RenewAmerica not long ago titled "A three pronged attack to bring down America," I dealt to some extent with the Free Trade Agreements NAFTA and CAFTA, and I outlined some of the potential threats involved.

Response to Anna
You did your homework - Good for you. Our President is a traitor as was most of his predicesors. Almost all of our candidates must get supprt from the CFR before their candidancy can move ahead. THese guys have become so entrenched that they can now operate in plain site without even being questioned anymore - It is accepted.

Your'e right on target about the Feds pulling the plug. That national debt is owed to a private banking cartel - the same ones that the central bank of the EU, the Rothchilds, Bilderbergs etc. When a bank calls your loan on your house when you are behind in payments, what do they do?? It's called foreclosure. If the Feds pull the plug your private property rights will be immediately revoked because your property will go into recievership - nationaly.

I agree with you taht I think this next administration will be the one to bring us down - and in the ensuing colapse we will be attacked. That will lead to our counter attack and a ficious second attack on the U.S. that will finish us off.

Why do I believe this. Because in spite of the truth staring every american in the face the publice still goes aong with the same old political song and dance. The second and more imortant reason is that you will not find one single reference to the USA in the book of revelation. And if we be Israels only ally, in order for the whole world coming against her to be fulfilled, we have to be removed from the picture. Look for an increase in Muslims in power in foreign gvmnts like the EU, fllowed by a major oil embargo on the west with some serious threats just before the breakdwn. Oh yeah. Hillary will be in charge and look for Bill to head the UN. I predicted this over fifteen years ago and was thaought a nut. Now it seems more plausable to many.

Typos
Sorry for the typos - I have some sticking keys....

Hey Plumber
I am an insurance agent and you are right about the losses and becoming uninsurable -it happens. Now if they can just just have a few losses to their insurance cmpany we might have slowdown.

Watchman
Just the tires on some of the earthmovers run upwards of $5K to replace.

A construction trailer full of prints and paperwork could take weeks to replace if some careless person casually flicked a cigarette butt in the wrong direction.

Accidents happen and insurance companies hate accidents.

Watchman
It really appears end times events are lining up doesn't it.

I have been studying revelation. I am wondering if the anti-Christ will be Moslem. I expect Ez 37/38 to happen fairly soon. Israel and Iraq will come out on top. Babylon is not included in the countries led by Russia attacking Israel. The period of tribulation begins with the anti-Christ making a peace pact with Israel. The gov and religion of the anti-Christ is the Islamic model. A gov ruler with a prophet "riding his back". The anti-christ is going to come out of the resurrected Roman Empire (EU). HE will subdue three kings (US, CHina, Russia?) to take control. There will be no super powers. I really believe there will be economic collapse in US and that will take care of us. Will we be attacked? Ez 37/38 will kill Russia. I feel we have the most to worry about with China. If the money people inside our own country don't kill us China could. Plus what do they plan to do with the huge military build up going on? Who is threatening them?

US doesn't figure in the book of Revelation. But that makes sense. The church age is about to end. The Tribulation is about judgement, but also Israel's national deliverance.

I think we are going to be here longer than we would like. The bright note is that hard times could bring about revival and a great harvest before the rapture. That is something to get excited about.

North American Union
I just read the link that Anna posted. In Case anyone missed it read it. Please notice that the CFR-Council on Foreign Relations is heavily involved in the process and trying to make an end run around our constituional process. Whoops! And you thought these guys had no power.

Also take note that the there are references in the policy to a three prong or Tri-LAteral process to integrating the SPP. Anyone ever hear of the Tri-Lateral Comission? It was Mr. Rockafeller Sr.'s brain child and you are seeing it's fullfilment 70 years later. This is the same Rockafeller that gave us hte land and inspiration fr the U.N.

Take note America. If these guys will pull something so treasonist right before our eyes, yu can bet they have a trump card and are thoroughly entrenched. It's called the Federal Reserve - they hold the county's purse strings.

Bush
Bush is a wierd combination of stupid (we don't want what is good for the country) and evil (carrying water for ones who want to kill our country and have one world gov).

Maybe his is a prop bible like Clintons. He has taken down the party and he will be handing our country over to the next president to finish us off.

Here are some interesting comments...

"Being an outspoken opponent of the Iraq occupation, I didn't know whether to laugh or laugh really hard when George Bush announced that Iraq was Vietnam after all, after literally years of his supporters in the media swearing up, down, left, right, backwards, forwards and sideways that there was absolutely no truth to the analogy. I suppose it's like tigers and man-flesh, once you get accustomed to stabbing your supporters in the back, you start to develop a taste for it. Of course, if I had supporters as blithely and stubbornly stupid as George Bush does, I'd probably be tempted to kick them around contemptuously too.

The president is an interesting political figure in that he clearly has no regard whatsoever for the health of his party. Republicans would be much better off if George Bush had spent his entire two terms doing nothing but molesting interns and issuing meaningless threats while lobbing the occasional cruise missile or two; as incredible as it sounds, Bill Clinton was not only a less destructive president for the nation but was less damaging to his party's future prospects. " Vox

Plumber
You aren't telling me anything new about accidents and insurance companies. By the way, the rumblings have already been going around in my industry and no one wants to insure our southern buddies. But guess what - Thanks to Assigned Risk, insurance companies could be forced to pull from a 'pool' of these mexican transporters and be forced to insure them on american soil. When the claims go up so will all our premiums, while our buddies just head south again with our money. Didn't Rss Perot describe that sucking sound??

Anna
You got the religious model correct - It is an Islamic Economic and religious system. Guess what the Iranian leader thinks he is called to do?? Prepare the way for THEIR Messiah by expanding Islamic influence and attacking Israel.

Take a step back, relax and trust your own mind and perceptions, and trust in the source of yur faith. Even on these blogs you can see how everyone is looking for the LEADER to restore america, it's us not someone else. And I believe it has gone unchallenged for too long.

When I was a child my father told me about and warned me about the CFR and the Trilatteral commission - It set me on a path for truth that was heart breaking for our country but also great for the condition of mankind. If these evils that are Biblical are true - consider the rest. God Bless Baruch Ha Shem

Granny Schlafly
has gone a bit delusional in her old age.

Duh... We have an North American Union
The E.U. is primarily an economic policy agreement between member countries to not allow tariffs on trade between the countries. The E. U. has existed for 50 years.

For many years we've reduced or eliminated trade barriers between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This long term trend was formalized in the 1994 NAFTA. For those with limited math skills - that was 13 years ago. Free and open trade makes sense, and it's been good for all parties. Even for the paranoid wacko conspiracy theorists - it gives them something to talk about.

enemaofthestatusquo, damn you!
--
That notion of yours - offering not only Canada and Mexico but also Great Britain, Iceland (and don't forget Greenland, aka "Kalaallit Nunaat") membership in an enormous North American Confederacy - is seductive as all hell.

I mean, George Orwell thought it was a good idea, didn't he? See his *1984* world map at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1984_fictious_world_map.png

Of course, to get the full effect we'll have to absorb Central and South America as well, but between the catastrophic effects of Hugo Chavez proving (yet again) that Socialism Sucks, and having already become fluent in Spanish...

(What, you think that the Hispanics wetbacking their way into El Norte are smart enough to learn how to speak English?)

...we should have no trouble eventually convincing all those folks who wear guayabera shirts without realizing how it makes 'em look like complete dorks that it's a really great idea to submit to complete Yanqui suzerainity.

Let's hear it for the North American Confederacy, predecessor to the United States of Oceania!

"There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork."

Treason
I am a conservative that believes in returning to our long-standing belief in a moral America. I believe in obedience to the bible, which is something president Bush obviously doesn't. His bypassing the constitution concerning treaties is in violation of his oath of office no matter how he tries get around it. Bush's disobedience to the bible concerning the partitioning of the land of Israel of which God gave the Jew threatens to bring the judgment of God on America. His lack of transparency can only mean one thing and that is he knows what he is up to with this SPP is not acceptable to the American people he was hired to represent. Bush is a traitor pure and simple! I don't know why this is so hard for many to accept but it's true and he needs to be impeached and every member of congress whether Republican or Democrat fired. Until this is done we the people don't have a dog's chance of getting back our country. Maybe you think we have time to play it safe using words but I don’t. The time has come when we must call a spade a spade and get the populace stirred to act.

I cannot believe I'm saying this...
Impeach Bush.

Anna
I think you have it just about right. Biblical precedents abound but those not paying attention will never see it coming or engage in denial. Prepare to be labeled a kook. But being labeled a kook by the likes of Van is a compliment.

BTW, in light of Matt. 24:9, how can you be pre-trib?

If you want the help you need
you will have to wait just a bit more.

Don't worry though, your invitation to the tea party is assured. When it starts, there will be no more denying possible. Now, we are stuck on the 'transport of time' and we fidget. We know we must wait, but it is SO HARD.

I really don't think the coming battle is the "endtimes" foretold in the Bible. It might be. It WILL BE fierce and it will be righteous.

We will fight for our God, our country and our very existence. There will be no 'fence sitters'

brian
The Supremes won't touch it. [See its refusals to review irregularities in passing the Fourteenth for precedence at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution#Controversy_over_ratification]

There are enough Bush appointees and liberals on board today to ensure another hands-off policy.

brian
It's the thought that counts. I haven't voted Democrat since JFK; this is a major departure.

brian
It's the thought that counts.

I haven't voted Democratic since JFK. Saying that was a MAJOR departure for me.

Sorry for the double entry
The system is overly slow this morning...

Forget SPP and NAU...
...what really frightens me is those damned Black Helicopters that keep buzzing my house! Everytime I call the local police they laugh at me!That is proof enough there is a conspiracy going on!Oh,they ain't kidding me none.I'm wise to their conspiracies.I read it in the old testament. What more proof do you want?

Great article Phyllis...
but I fear a vast majority of American households are more interested in the next episode of "Nip-Tuck" than the destiny of their nation.

Almost daily the NAU puppet Michael Medved denies it's emergence while using his remarkable talent of divergence to label NAU opponents as tin-foil hatters and the like.

How can anyone not recognize that trade negotiations (SPP) that have a legal apparatus for dispute, will eventually make the participating countries impotent?

On almost a daily basis our individual states are being blackmailed into federal compliance. How many times have we heard that if the state doesn't do "X" then they won't receive federal funding?

Why are people so blind to see that our federal government will be rendered just as impotent should they fail to follow a SPP mandate?

A real eye opener can be found here:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2699800300274168460

Let's wake up and face the facts people, 50 years of trade negotiations led to the creation of the EU. The US, Canada and Mexico are being fast-tracked into a NAU because of the faulures encountered by the creation of the EU. Yes, the globalist have learned from their prior mistakes.

Has anyone heard of MEFTA? There is a 3rd trade bloc in the creation, yet "Desparate Housewives" seems to be the topic of the day.

Good grief.......

Mark 13:24-26 inclusive, 2Th2:1-12inclusive

How can there be a pre-trib rapture if Christ doesn't appear until after the tribulation?

Brian
It will force the participating countries into compliance. If you see that as a slippery slope then perhaps you're catching on.....

Eventually there will be a taxing authority over the NAU because a governing body will evolve.

NAU
Even if the US and Canada weren't interested in a EU type merger, Mexico certainly is. Presidente Calderon just declared that Mexico does not stop at the border. He's never learned that the US DOES! I'm quite sure the three "amigos" worked out more rules for the NAU, but I think it will be done piecemeal until one day we wake up and find our neighbors to the south standing on our doorsteps with luggage in hand. Oh,sorry, that's already happened, hasn't it? Well, maybe we'll have a little French mixed in with Spanish. Guess who's the great winner in this merger? Let's keep calling Congress to stop this plan that will destroy out country and our way of life.

Another biblical viewpoint
The veracity of the Bible is nearing its crux.

Since all the land from Egypt to the Tigris river was ceded to Israelites by the Abrahamic covenant, the State of Israel must remain in order for the promises of the O.T. to become true.

If Israel is wiped out - as Iran indicated it would like to do - it means a promise of God is not be fulfilled.

If one promise is not fulfilled, how are we expected to rely on the other promises of God?

You may object to Zionism, but it is the key to the fulfillment of God's Word. Yes, there are many Christians who don't think so but personally I think they are on the wrong side of this issue.

I believe that once the one-world government takes shape, the Rapture will come and then the Anti-Christ will be revealed and the seven year peeiod of the Tribulation will begin.

What say you?

Brian I hate to break the news...
this comes from the House in regards to SPP. Virgil Goode adopted the resolution.

"a trilateral arrangement formed without Congressional oversight designed to create regulatory, economic, other institutional structures that facilitate economic, legal and political integration between the U.S., Canada and Mexico."

Only fools or liars claim that SPP will not undermine US sovereignty, merge our monetary system and cause the emergence of a unifying government.

You're in no position to forgive anything.

Mexico
Why would the US consider a severely binding union with Mexico? What could they possibly bring to the table to warrant sovereignty restrictions? Mexico?

Good grief, Charlie Brown.....

What "Union"?
Politicians always begin their careers by saying they want the power to 'make things better'. The very first intent of entrusting power to our OWN politicians was 'to form a more perfect UNION', but once the politicians got power they got 'organized' by dividing the People into 'classes' to be manipulated -- not for the good of the People, but to keep and expand their power.

Since Amendment 11, virtually every Amendment that has passed has been to increase the power and scope of the Federal government -- and hence to benefit those who hold power in government.

The recent House vote on denying federal funds to 'sanctuary' cities passed by a vote of 234 to 189. But it is not the passage but the fact that 189 Members of Congress were against denying funds to cities that protect illegal aliens in violation of federal law.

Earlier, the scamnesty bill was introduced in the Senate. Obviously, a large number of OUR politicians -- and judges -- aren't concerned about American citizens and if they are not, then who do they 'represent' other than themselves?

After politicians worked over the People under our Constitution, they then tried a League of Nations -- an abject failure to be replaced by an even more corrupt and ineffective body. Now they are seeking 'other means' of control -- always chipping away the rights and power and freedom of the People they were SUPPOSED to be protecting -- not only from invaders but also from government itself.

Unless we throw the bums out – beginning with the 189 – I presume that in a few years we will be forced to bow toward Mecca and pray in Spanish.

IMPEACH BUSH BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
Anyone who thinks there is no reason to impeach Bush has not been paying attention. The fact that he has done everything in his power to allow open borders, from removing the national guard and imprisoning border patrol agents to pushing hard for the Comprehensive Immigration Bill. That alone is reason enough for impeachment. He has done this despite polls that show over and over that the AMERICAN people do NOT want to Legalize Lawbreakers. He is aided and abetted by the media which along with the Chamber of Commerce has their own agenda. The one and only reason to desire turning the USA into a third world country is the North American Union. As far as I am concerned his agenda is blatant set-up for his North American Union.

here it is on W.H. stationary

Presidente Jorge the Quisling-In-Chief is quite simply a CFR style Rockefeller Republican/RINO globalist. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth, then had hot and cold runnin' obsequious Mexican servants, so he sees no reason why Middle America opposes the Reconquista. The Bush ilk do not shop at Wal-Mart where hordes jabber in spanish; their children's schools are not sullied by ILLEGALS and bilingual "education"; they do not see the emergency rooms overwhelmed with indigent ILLEGALS pushing out ILLEGAL, illegitimate babies we unfortunately call new Americans. The remote rich LIKE their cheap ILLEGAL domestic help, and their country clubs are well tended by same.

We are in a fight for the very survival of America-- her heritage, culture, and socio-economic well-being. Today's America CANNOT assimilate millions of indigent, undereducated, willfully culturally and ethnically disparate. Join the righteous struggle to save America. We MUST INSIST that the pols enforce EXISTING laws and answer to the > 70% of Americans who solidly want enforcement as an absolute priority:

Medved
Medved does not believe in the conspiracy. Medved was invited to the White House. Medved had someone on his show for an hour to deny such a conspiracy. The denial was so specific, something like "I personally have not drawn up any documents that would result in a North American Trade Organization similar to the EEC", that one was left wondering if it is coming about. No one gives a damm whether this particular gentleman has written a specific document. We were wondering whether the three countries and the three leaders were planning it. Maybe the guy from the Commerce Department does not know that in corporate planning, secrecy is number one, and the leaders don't always let everyone on the ladder know what is happening until all the ducks are lined up. Then again, maybe he does know, and that was the reason for his strangely worded denial.

SPP Conspiracy
If one is to buy into this conspiracy theory, there are two points that I feel need to be addressed.
First: Exactly what is the gain to the conspirators?
Two: Does anyone really believe that the hacks we have elected (the majority of whom seem to have the mental accumen of a hamster)could EVER keep their mouths shut about anything?
I agree that the overall appearance stinks, but the proof is yet to be exposed. I hope to high heaven that you are wrong.

Townhall
Townhall just ate my posting.

Sorry
Sorry about the double posting. You post and don't see it. You post and don't see it. You give up and they both appear.

This morning
on Fox news, they said that President Calderon of Mexico is having a presidential snit over the United States deporting Mexicans back to Mexico. He was screaming about our immigration laws, and get this, he said "Mexico doesn't end at it's borders"
They were to discuss it further, but then the news came out that Bush was in Iraq, and that took over the news.
I'm waiting to hear if Lou Dobbs reports on it.

Take over of Canada and Mexico
Both have raw materials and fuels in abundance. Mexico has a large supply of labor. The ultimate "manifest destiny" is simply to take over both countries.

What is Ms. Sclafly thinking????????????
Bush has claimed the power to hold American citizens without trial, the ability to spy on Americans without warrant, and the ability to abrogate the Geneva conventions without consulting the courts or congress and you don't trust him to meet with the prime minister of Canada and the President of Mexico?

How can you possibly object to a supper highway that links Canada, the United States and Mexico. These three countries engage in a tremendous amount of trade with each other. What could be possibly wrong with a highway which would make this trade more efficient. Though, I would prefer more rail links myself.

As for the truckers, they are guaranteed entry to the US under a treaty that was ratified by the Senate. The time to fight this was during the ratification process.

Anti-immigrant forces continually talk about rule of law. But, apparently they believe in the rule of law only when it applies to someone else. If the US does not fulfill its treaty obligations than foreign governments will not feel bound to fulfill theirs.

Thanks for the link. An excerpt:

Rep. Duncan Hunter's amendment (H.R. 3074) to the Transportation Appropriations Act "prohibiting the use of federal funds for participation in working groups under the Security and Prosperity Partnership, including the creation of the NAFTA Super Highway" passed the house on July 24, 2007 by an overwhelming bi-partisan majority of 362-63!

If Duncan Hunter is at the forefront to try to halt the "evolution by stealth" mentioned in this article, then he has my full support for president.

This subject is like Watergate

Anything can be stonewalled.
Deniel, but why would anyone deny the plain events we all are aware of?

Many many many border issues going on today.
Millions of illegals coming in with the knowledge there is no strong will to stop them from coming.

Both democrats and republicans working together with the President to allow it legally, trying to pass Ex Post Facto Law, and is plainly unconstitutional.

There is a tremedous battle going on in Texas against something about a road, that is going to take 584,000 acres of prime Texas land, by private citizens being kicked out so something can be built. Lets just call it a road.

Which road would do one thing only.
Allow American Ports to be by-passed so merchandise can be brought in throug Mexico.

Gotta be something to this as the President has worked very hard to gain "legally" the right of Mexicans to have full access to American roads.

A super rich corporation from Spain is investing billions to see it happen.

11-12 States are passing law against something concerning this road.

Colleges like Arizona State are offering courses in how to integrate the USA, Mexico and Canada.

Something is happening, and not even openly discussed in either the medai or Congress.

Does leave it wide open to ask some questions doesn't it.

Treason
This is nothing less than treason started by Bush 41, conntinued by Clinton, pushed even more by Bush 43. That no presidential candidate but Tancrado has repuidiated it is evidence that it will continue no matter who is elected president.

This stuff didn't ...
start to happen just yesterday, or even a lifetime ago. The folks warning about this were scoffed at, and there remain many scoffers and those who are indifferent.

The remaining objectives ...
Control the food ...
Control Energy ....
Disarm the masses ....

Not a whit of difference twixt these folks and Adolpf or Stalin. They are dealing with a different audience in a different time, so they wear business suits.

someone asked
Someone who posted asked what the purpose or goals of the three amigos would be. The answer : the new world order.

.....the Rapture will come and then the Anti-Christ will be revealed and the seven year peeiod of the Tribulation will begin.

Mark 13:24-26 inclusive, 2Th2:1-12inclusive

How can there be a pre-trib rapture if Christ doesn't appear until AFTER the tribulation? AFTER the wicked one is revealed.

Read Eze 13 pay close attention to verse 20, God is AGAINST the fly away doctrine.

Not my words, His.

Let us just call this Rio Grande Gate
Anyone in America unaware of Mexican (mostly) citizens in our country?
Anyone in America unaware they are not obeying the law to come?
Can anyone deny there is plans and on-going taking of property from citizens for some road the Federal Government wants so as to allow Mexican trucks to haul merchandise into the USA?

The American people have spoken, we want the borders closed down and this invasion stopped, and the law enforced as it is.

Can anyone say the President is listening to the voice of the citizens?

If not, then who is he listening to?
Must be another voice he litens to, but whose?

The evidence points to commercial interests, and that is the highest priority, and trumps the law as it reads and the will of the people.

Then if this priority is what drives the words and actions of the Federal Government, why do they not just say that?

Why not just say it for what it is?

The voice of commerce must take precedence over all law and the will of the American Citizens.
Commerce is more important than any national border, or national unification United under something written 231 years ago.

If making money is the purpose of government, passing laws and ignoring laws that hinder commerce, then why not just tell it as it is?

American citizens do not need to think for themselves, we all need to just accept the premise that making money trumps all other issues.

If the President would just put it into words like this, then each get to vote on it, it could be settled democratically.
He does seem to promote the "idea" of democracy at different times, so whats the problem using that idea in such as this?

I call it Rio Grande Gate
Deny deny deny
Stonewall it

Making money
Trade
Commerce
Industrial expansion

The driving issues the entire United States Government is designed for , right?

To be the partner of businessmen.

And as the Old World Kings and Queens backed the Merchants of their day, sending them off to explore the world, looking for gold and silver, and any merchandise to enrich the Kingdom.

Course when the US Government was formed, it was said to be to represent people, not commerce.

I guess after trying that for a few hundred years, its been found to be second to what the Old World push for Trade thought most imporatant.

So busines and government have entered into an agreement to work together and form a "more perfect union".

Re 6:6 -
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

1Ti 6:10 -
For the love of money is the root of all evil:

I sincerely think money making is somehow involved in the SPP, would not surprise me at all.

And if a few millions of American Citizens lose out, it is the thought that counts, others get a blessing.

We have a North American Union
It's called NAFTA (as one other poster pointed out).

If, one day, North America becomes a nation, I predict it will be an enlarged United States of America. We have Constitutional procedures for adding states to the Union, Mexico and Canada don't.

So, if this happens, Canadian provinces and Mexican states will join the union as Alaska and Hawaii did.

Nothing unconstitutional there.

Conspiracy theorists should worry about the real conspiracies being run by Islamofascist terrorists.

Orwellian analogies...
...Dear SJ Doc; my intent was to both show the similarities to Orwell's 1984 (which I have on another occasion here or on another site, called a How-To manual for Socialist revolution), and also advocate that if we must have a NAU, then adding the UK along with Canada will add 80 million people of the English tradition which may eventually backfire on the globalist since almost all tendencies toward true freedom since the begin of Christianity have come from the English tradition, NOtice the Orwellian map at your link above. Oceania is the English and the western hemisphere Hispanics, who also have a tendency to want freedom but have so often failed to attain and keep it. Oh, but the Queen will be required to wear a burqa.

Rather than debate pre, mid, and post trib, I was more interested in comments regarding one's opinion as to the maintaining of Israel's sovereignty under the threat of anniliation by its enemies.

Based upon the Abrahamic Covenant: if Israel, in fact, is annililated, can one continue to believe in the veracity of the Bible which includes the Tribulation period?

Your reference to the Mark 13:24-26 passage (also Matt. 24:29-30; Luke 21:25-27), implies Jesus is talking about his Second Coming after the Tribulation which is the third sign he discussed in the Matthew verses.

As Schlafly was, in a roundabout way, talking about a "one-world government" and with Iran threatening to do what it is talking about, I believe it fits into prophecy as long as Israel maintains is statehood.

Such wisdom

To think anyone would ever pass a law about this subject that is unknown to men and governments.

If its an open conspiracy does that mean its unquestionable?

Must be what it is to see such wisdom from folks like The left is evil.

Never any evil from the right.

if these stories are true concerning his support for this organization are true it would appear that he is determined to have no positive legacy whatsoever. It was alledged during his first run for the presidentcy that he had a tendency to lose focus and actually got bored with any job he held for very long. It appears this is what is plaguing his administration at this time. It seems he has no concern about illegals and protecting our borders. One must truly wonder how his thought proecesses are operating at this time but he seems more concerned which appeazing mexico than representing the best interests of mexico. But congress won't address the illegal problem at this time so at least we can hope no scamnesty will get enacted. But the country has endured poor presidents in the past and we will survive the final 15 months of bush. It's too bad he has entered retirement before his term of office expires

I don't think Eze. 13:20 should be allowed to stand on its own as a denunciation of the Rapture. Jesus and the Apostle Paul spend too much time discussing it as a "real-time" event.

One must distinguish between the Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming: two different events entirely. One is before the Tribulation period, the other is after.

1 Cor. 15:51-52 states emphatically that: "we all shall not sleep" meaning all will not die. He continues, "but we shall all be changed." This occurs at the last trumpet: "for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible."

All this has to do with the Rapture of the Church.

A good source that I use is "The Footsteps of the Messiah" by Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum.

If there were such a thing
As a conspiracy, how wonderfully the idea of left v right could actually divide people.

All it would take to divide people is to make the issues of speech, religion, the press, and the Bill of Rights for individuals, a left right issue.

If everyone agreed with such basics, be no possibilty for "divide and conquer".

And just think, if the Federal Government itself all spoke the same thing to protect each individual rights, we might find Unity again.

Who can work for change with all agreeing?

Get with it, we must have every issue divided in left right arguments.

The column's first paragraph:
"The three-nation summit... was... well guarded behind an intimidating fence"

Nice to know that Bush can actually find a use for a fence after all.

It's called leveling the playing field.
The only problem with it is that the American taxpayer will be the ones doing the leveling, and when it's finally finished, the U.S. will be a third world nation. Mexico is a welfare state of the U.S., always has been and will alway remain so. The U.S. will go broke trying to raise Mexico to an economically functional state. It'll never happen.

But remember.
The Mexican truckers will only be doing the jobs American truckers won't do--like driving trucks.

BrianR
We all now know fences do not work, nor a police force to stop anyone from climbing over, under or through a fence.

The news we are not told is how those protestors all got in anyway and the police force and fence could not stop it

America's Future
In 2008 we must make the candidates address border security and immigration enforcement.
20-30 million citizens of other countries are in our country illegally, 55% from Mexico, most of the rest from other Central and South American countries. Let's not ignore the leftward voting trends of these countries. It is notable that they picked May Day, an old communist day of celebration for their marches.

Most of what you hear about this issue is political propaganda that tries to convince you to give up your country without a fight, including on Fox News. The big money players are all on board the cheap labor express, they care not that American citizens do not want another amnesty. We know the last one resulted in 10 times the number of illegal aliens and a general disregard of our laws. The next one will be equally successful.

We need Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, not reform. We need to restore respect for the law and the faith of the American people that their government is not selling them out. Amnesty for the illegal aliens is also amnesty for the corrupt companies who have been employing them. Money trumps everything, including love of country. Multi-nationals have no loyalty to country by definition, they see us as a market, not a nation. They see people as workers, documented or undocumented, no difference. If they can't send the work to where the labor is cheaper, then they want to bring the cheap labor here. Citizenship is meaningless.

If we love our Constitution and our representative Republic and we intend to keep it we must not surrender our sovereignty or abandon the rule of law. Profits must not supercede security. We should not create a new path to citizenship. We have a path to citizenship, more generous than any other country, illegal aliens have ignored it and bad choices do have consequences.

in his state of the union address calderon says they will defend mexicans whewreever they find them. Our protecting our borders is unacceptable but more importantly unless mexico finds new oil souces they will run out of oil in 9 years. That sound like similar pronouncements made by the peanut man. But assuming calderon is correct I guess we can expect the other 85 million to head north all with the blessings and encoiuragement of the mexican govt. Fortunately president bush won't be in power to further enable the illegals

Sonny
You stick to your guns Sonny, and when the dust settles, we'll have our answer.

Just a note in parting, there was no rapture theory until the early 1830's.

Level the playing feild
Would seem to indicate someone must step down, as one steps up.

Just give and take isn't it.
Very few men are wise enough to know which ones come down and which ones step up.

Marx knew
All peasants in Russia who joined the communist party, stepped up very nicely.

In fact they stepped up so high above the citizens, one could think they lived high and mighty and brought everyone else with them to greater levels of happiness, as we all can see going on in all communist, socialist nations.

Everyone is so blessed in Cuba and China too.

Well, TalentScout
I didn't see anything about protesters, but if there were, then the question in my mind would be: were they libs? Or conservatives? Interesting where we've reached a stage in this country where that question can actually be asked with a straight face.

BTW, as to Calderon's squawking about border enforcement at our southern border, does anyone other than me find his complaints hypocritical, since Mexico enforces absolutely draconian laws and procedures to secure their OWN southern border?

Just asking.....

motleycrue
but don't forget the teamsters are opposed to these trucks coming into america. Unless the mexican drivers are experienced gang members they probably won't be ready when they encounter teamster thugs. These mexicans will make the stupid mistake of getting between a dog and his meat. Perhaps the teamsters will send a message that our govt seems unwilling to voice.

... I don't get to the Conspiracy Conclusion from the August 21 press conference, and the Bret Baier question cited here.

Bush has been unusually committed, even more so than other presidents, to not responding to cheap accusations. It is obvious from the full transcript that he saw Baier's question in that light.

Avoiding being backed into freighted denials, or into what are effectively policy statements couched in other people's terms, is what politicians do. Not being drawn into responding on other people's terms is Political Communication 101.

Sorry, Phyllis. More evidence of failure to give counter-evidence is not convincing.

if we enforced our borders and deal with illegals ala mexico we would have no illegals. Those on the left however will have no part in that action. How can you show compassion if you deal harsely with those breaking our laws and stealing our social services. It would seem that the left is in a mad rush to surrender all our values as well as out sovreignty

Brian
Impeach Bush on the grounds that he isn't securing the border. Article 4 Section IV.

Militant Leftist,

Do we have a Treaty with Mexico other than the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo? What is it? NAFTA is an "agreement", not a treaty.

The new port in Kansas City is actually Mexican Territory. Goods coming up the NAFTA SH in Mexican trucks will go through Mexican Customs in KC, not US Customs on the border as is currently the case, and then shipped to locations across the US and Canada.

Certain highways (like I-70) will be expanded for "Ports to Plains". The ability to do this was paved by the SCOTUS' Kelo decision.

So let's see:
-we gave land in the center of the country to Mexico,

-Mexicans take over another industry US citizens won't do (trucking),

-inspections of goods doesn't occur, if at all, until the trucks make it to the heartland of the country. And even then, we have to rely on foreigners to keep us safe. I wonder how many of those trucks will be full of people/illegals (we'll never know).

-and a strip of land that is a football field in width and 1500 miles long will be eminently domained from land owners along 1-35. All so that you can have better access to lead-laden Chinese toys and poisoned dog food.

Yeah, wildwest
No kidding!

The whole issue is just so rank with hypocrisy. The smell makes a chicken farm seem like a bouquet of roses.

Sometimes things make since,
sometimes they don't. (pun)

Why would the 3 leaders of 3 large countries meet to discuss “harmonizing regulations” with regard to the red dye used in jelly beans?

Why wouldn't the jelly bean manufacturer just produce a product that meets the regulations of all 3 countries (or states within a country) as automakers have done for many years?

As for the NAU,

IF it is just some conspiracy why take actions that feed into the concept such as;

* the attempted granting of amnesty to illegal aliens
* plans to build (one section at a time) a main thoroughfare when we already have an existing interstate highway system (which in many places in is in desperate need of maintenance and repair)
* allowing foreign nationals to operate trucks inside our borders, who may or may not even qualify for licensing per our nations laws and regulations, even after the House clearly opposed the plan

I'm not one that easily buys into a conspiracy. I tend to think things through and look at all the facts and evidence before I believe in anything. That being said, I do thing there is something going on. Actions speak louder than words, and the actions are adding up enough to make me ask questions about why they are taking place.

I have no problem with trade, and doing so with our closest neighbors makes since, but the trade deals should not trump any national sovereignty. If we are going to allow foreign nationals to operate trucks in the U.S. they should be required to speak English and pass a CDL test given by one of the states just as a citizen is required to do if he or she wanted to be a truck driver.

The plans in Texas to build a new limited access highway should be scrapped and the funds used to repair, maintain, and if need be expand the existing interstate highway system.

I'm watching the issues closely, as everyone should, and I will take action as a voter (or if need be as a citizen) to protect U.S. interests and sovereignty.

Brian
I think some of the news reports called the people "protestors".

So since that judgment is in the right of the press to make, they must be protestors and not concerned citizens for meetings and agreements behind closed doors.

Really unimportant stuff when those three get together.

For myself I would not calle them "protestors", nothing to protest is there.

Before you all go Dems
Remember Billary also went for NAFTA. The problem becomes one of borders they wont be any makes a bad problem worse. Where is Ron when we need him. We probably need a contitutioal amendment along the lines that the constitution trumps any treaty. That would throw a wrench in this nonsense.

Good question for candidates
Where they stand on issue. Of course that dosent mean they will stand on anything.

Think thats bad look at this
Bush just handed the World Trade Orginization and the UN control over response proceedures in case of an epidemic in this country. Read this.

No ports, no roads and no truckers in the USA?

Well, that makes a lot of pre-tribers wrong I guess.

I think of the Rapture more of a Promise of God rather than a theory and an essential part of prophecy.

There are many, many parts of the Bible that weren't "revealed" until after 1830. Since many events have to transpire before the Rapture, maybe the Holy Spirit saw no point in revealing them earlier as they would not have been recognized anyway.

Reading the Bible reveals there are hermenutical horizons whereby there are new revealations that we are being made aware of on an on-going basis.

As for me, I'll go along with the blessed hope that God doesn't leave us all, "in the dust" to go through the Tribulation. It will be too nasty of a period of time to expect to survive it in your skin.

The Big Picture
The only way we are going to get a North American Union is if the electorate is diluted enough to approve it. And that nicely explains why Bush/the federal government have thrown in with Mexico on the issue of illegal immigration. Bush is doing everything he can to increase imnmigration from Mexico, because that will diminish our national identity and make a North American Union more possible.

Our nation's days are numbered unless we can stop this madness. California already is lost.

Talk Radio
Talk radio isn't ALL talking about this.......GG Liddy is but neither Rush nor Sean has mentioned it. Rush was very much in favor of NAFTA....don't know where Sean stood on that but both of them has been invited to the White House so..............???????????

How the heck can you people (TOWN HALL) put animated ad's next to articles and expect people to read them. This only confirms that you probably DO NOT read your website.

Iran will not succeed at wiping Israel off the map. They are determined to try, but it won't happen.

I certainly hope Bush is not stupid enough to bomb Iran. You never know. Russia and China are doing military maneuvers together. Russia keeps making a lot of threats about American imperialism. (I guess like him claiming Russia owns the North pole?) Russia and China are not going to sit by and let us bomb Iran. (read "America Alone" by M. Steyn? He says it is the weaknesses of our enemies that are greatest threat. Russia is dying country and what will they do on way out to try to reassert power. R. seems to be trying to get control over energy.)

I think Israel will have to go it alone. Read Joel Rosenbergs "Epicenter". Will that trigger EZ 38/39? Russia is going to lead a coalition against Israel. No one comes to their aid which makes me think we are already out of commission. IT is clearly not nuclear, but God is going to show HIS glory! Russia will be knocked out.

I have read several opinions about when it will happen, but the bible says Israel will be burning the weapons for 7 yrs. The tribulation only lasts 7 years. So it has to be at the very beginning or before. I agree with Lehaye's and Rosenbergs opinion. All the super powers have to be knocked out for the anti-christ to take over and we know there has to be a rearrangement of the ME for Iraq/Babylon to come out on top.

Babylon is not included in the attack. This would certainly set the stage for the peace pact anti-Christ will make with Israel. We already know gov of anti-Christ will be in Babylon.

I don't know exactly how it will all come about, but you can see the pieces forming. I feel certain it is close.

At some point, the congressional
GOP will have to rein this sitting President in, and read him the constitution!.......His executive order back in March o7, also shows his lack of respect for congress.(Dictator of continuety).....Never, have I seen such power grabs by the executive branch!

pretrib
I don't have time to go over it verse by verse.

Look at "Things to Come" by J.Dwight Pentecost. He breaks it down bit by bit for pretrib, mid, and post.

I also liked Tim Lehaye's "Revelation Unveiled".

Ever heard of Zola Levitt?

He is a Messianic Jew and he wrote a booklet called "The Seven Feasts of Israel". The feasts, "forecast the entire career of the Messiah, the Jews, the Church, and even the other nations. He foresaw the tribulation period in all its agony, the presence of the Jew and the gentile together in the church, and even the detail of leaving the corners of the fields for sustenance for the poor, including His Son and His disciples"

There are only three feasts left, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. Trumpets "unquestionably represents the Rapture"

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:16-17

...We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we sahll be changed. 1 Cor 15:51-52

"the seven feasts reassure us about a pre-trib Rapture. Surely the entire system would be wrecked if the Chruch were not to be rewarded at Trumpets, but would have to put in an unwarranted Day of Atonement with unbelieving Israel in the tribulation period."

It does not make sense that those born again, whose sins are covered by the blood of Christ already would have to go through the judgement of the tribulation. We are not appointed for judgement any more.

Medved = the Ultimate Shill
Michael Medved is the ultimate shill. I can't comprehend that anyone still reads or listens to him.

I can't believe that mortgage broken is paying Medved to promote him. I've got to believe a lot more TH readers can't stand him than like him.

Stormy Bush & WTO/UN
Unless you can get a real news article, I believe this is a total bogus rumor or fabrication. Think about it, they are all behind closed doors, we don't even know what they are talking about and suddenly we know that Bush has signed over the U.S. to the WTO and UN? Pffftt!

More than just an interesting post. I guess it is the commentary you have added.

We obviously have lots of opinions from which to choose. That is part of the fun, I suppose.

As for me, I just enjoy observing how God is orchestrating events to bring them to the conclusions he desires.

I just came back from a three day prophecy conference conducted by Dave Hunt in Bend, Oregon. He spoke mainly from his new book, "Judgment Day". I have known Dave for over 20 years and I have found him to be a "strict constructionist" regarding the Word of God. His book is a "good read" and I highly recommend it.

time for the revolution
What would happen if 10 million taxpayers did not file their taxes (those who were underwithheld and owed money on April 15th). Could the government lock up 10 million people?
Take it one step further and call a (non-union) general strike to last two weeks. This strike would have to involve ALL public workers as well as those in private industry.
Would this get their attention??
The alternatives could be very unpleasant.
the soapbox--no response
the ballot box--no results

Laura Ingraham
I too am sick of "conservative" pundits totally ignoring what is going on. This should be the ultimate question every candidate should answer!

Are you committed to protect and defend the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, the constitution of the USA, and work for the welfare of American citizens!!! (not merge the gov with corporate interests, which by the way is Fascism.)

Laura Ingraham had Jerome Corsi on her program the other day. He IS ON IT! She read his book and it was on her website. It is about time. To talk about the illegal problem while ignoring the creation of the NAU is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Illegals are the symptom, the NAU is the DISEASE!!

I don't bother to listen to Sean any more. I am sick of the simplistic we are good, they are bad scenario. The support for this agenda is bi-partisan. Republicans need to be called out and exposed for their support of a treasonous agenda. When you think of what they got, and how they squandered it all. Rockefeller Republicans control the party now.

By the way they did vote against the trucking thing. It went down by an overwhelming majority. Bush is ignoring this and starting the "trial" run anyway.

He is a uniter. We all hate him now. I absolutely despise him now. We the people are supposed to be willing to kill ourselves for the people who own him. Mexico isn't going up, we are going down. He actually acts surprised we would act up.

Duncan HUnter is the man.

I too look to the bible as ultimate authority.

John McArthur has just come out with a book on Revelation. He is a strict constructionist.

I don't know how all the pieces will slot into place. But it is happening.

I wish I had written down the quote, but one of the top globalist guys was saying they would have it one way or another. By force if necessary. "America's Financial Reckoning Day" is written by a Christian. (don't agree with all his endtimes thoughts) We are already past all the numbers where other countries have had currency collapse. It is just a confidence game at this point. I don't think the people will go peacefully. Imagine if all the amnesty protesters knew what was really going on. WND is offering a DVD called the "Money Masters". It is worth looking at also.

I am really wondering if the big money will pull the plug themselves. Americans will never accept willingly the destruction of our country. We will be the biggest loser of all.

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new world order" David Rockefeller.

I am pretty sure Joel Rosenberg is a Christian. I would highly recommend his book "Epicenter"

It is shocking to me to see them trying to create this "new world order". We already know how the story ends. As Babylon burns..."terrified at her torment, they will stand far off...the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more...The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn and cry out: ...in one hour such great wealth had been brought to ruin!" Rev 18

God will have the last word!

Want to convince me this is real?
Show me the highway.

There isn't any way to hide the continuous swatch cut by earth-moving equipment when a highway is being built. It's visible from the air. It can be traced on a map. Rights-of-way have to be obtained, so there's always a legal trail.

So far, I have not been convinced that there exists any such thing as a burgeoning North American Union plan. If anybody here wants to convince me that it's real, SHOW ME THE HIGHWAY.

Show it on a map. Show me pictures of the construction. Show me how the pieces will connect.

That's my price, and it's a very, very low price. A highway doesn't really prove the NAU plan exists, but until I see at least that much, I'm sounding the BS Detector. Until I see the road, I don't believe there's any such plan to create a seamless North American Union.

swath.
Not "swatch." Swath. Bleah.

Not To Worry...
...the Duncan "Build the Fence" Hunter campaign is starting to gain BIG momentum. Huge win on Saturday at the TX Straw Poll. He absolutely trounced the other GOP candidates.

His greatest need is cash. Unlike the "big 3" he's getting "zero" U.S. Chamber/WSJ dollars. In fact they're most likely trying to starve him out. And the MSM, even Fox, is blanking him out. Shame on Fox news.

Send Hunter $20. Bucks. $20. BUCKS!! You bunch of tight wads! Its not going to break you. He needs our help. His bank account is the lowest of all the GOP candidates. DD

Babylon in Prophecy
A few years ago I went to a 16 week teaching on Daniel and Revelation taught by a pastor in KCMO. In his teaching, I learned that Babylon will never be rebuilt (and God said it wouldn't be rebuilt). Babylon in Revelation is symbolic of man's (with Satan) rebellion against God. He also teaches the World Religion will be a bastardization of the Roman Catholic church. It is the only church that has the infrastructure in place now. It will accept parts of all religions, except, of course Christianity. The anti-Christ won't be a friend to the muslims and will fight against them. Jordan, Syria, and I believe Egypt will not sign treaties with the anti-Christ. In fact, there will be a time they will come to Israel's aid against the anti-Christ. Anyway, there will be a Gov't Babylon, a financial Babylon, and the religious Babylon. But none of they have to do with ancient Babylon, except for the symbolism of rebelling against God. Also, it is not true there was no teaching of a pre-trib rapture before 1830. It is in the New Testament. There was a church that thought they had missed it, due to a phony letter written by a Paul imposter. The real Paul set them straight. Also, God promised He would keep His church out of the tribulation. He did not say he would help us through it, He would keep us out of it. If we go through it, either we aren't right with Christ, or God lied. Since God isn't One who would lie, we have to make sure we are right with Christ.

Fox news/Rupert Murdoch
just looked it up online. Rupert is member of CFR. Think that has something to do with his station freezing out Hunter who is critical of CFR policies.

Globalists own all the other top tier candidates.

Stop trading with Mexico
Then they wouldn't need to build any 10 lane super highways! I don't trust any of our political people anymore. I certainly won't be voting for any of them that are in there now. I believe we would be better off putting a farmer into the white house. If they can run a farm they can run a country! I think this crap about needing millions to run for office should be done away with?

It used to be you could do things by shaking hands an the man was as good as his hand shake now you have to kiss everyone's A--! to do anything. It isn't what you know anymore it's who you know! You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours!! Ring a bell!

We certainly can't believe any of what our political people say! They have been lying for years. Too much for control and GREED!!

Before any highway can be built, it has to have plans, property and surveys, all being done now.
Construction is due to start in 2008.

http://www.nascocorridor.com/new_home_page/NASCO%20Op-Ed%20Melvin.pdf

Now all one needs to understand is how a plan can be presented in innocent sounding words, but the plan is real.

Just read the above link.

Then check out the firestorm this is causing in Texas politics and not reported by any major media outlets

Nafta super highway
It isn't to trade with Mexico. China is going to stop offloading on the west coast and instead unload their containers at deep water port in Mexico. Then Mexican trucks will ship them into the country on the highway.

they let the cat out of the bag and then back pedalled. Jerome Corsi has published pictures that were on original website.

Americans make too much money. Heard about the inland port in Kansas that Mexico is going to run? Mexico is so patently corrupt. They already caught a container filled with guns (from china) destined for street gangs in LA. China is going to set up hightech sensors. (would that be the same China that just hacked into the Pentagon and shot down a satelite?)

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53287

When I see pictures of that highway into the heartland of our country I cringe. We will have no idea what will be coming into our country. Our traitorous president is going to hire the fox to guard the hen house. They could get anything set up.

They won't be laying over and playing dead in the heartland. Read the link I posted earlier. They don't give a rip about security if a dollar is to be made. Goldwater said they have no ideology.

Traitors are running our country and they make me sick.

Tin Foil Hat Brigades
Are you people freaking serious. Do you actually listen to yourselves talk. This is the biggest nonsense I've ever heard. I've always thought Townhall had reasoned discussions and commentary. This shoots a great big hole in that thought. These comments are something I'd see on Daily Kos and DU. Why don't you go post there, you'd make as much sense as those freaks do.

While NASCO claims
The I-35 highway in Texas is all they refer to as it exists, property is being taken over in Texas by imminent domain, Kelo decision came at just the right time.

quote:
On March 11, 2005, a "Comprehensive Development Agreement" was signed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to build the "TTC-35 High Priority Corridor" parallel to Interstate 35. The contracting party involved a limited partnership formed between Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a publically listed company headquartered in Spain, owned by the Madrid-based Groupo Ferrovial, and a San Antonio-based construction company, Zachry Construction Corp.

AUSTIN - A two-year moratorium on private toll roads that won preliminary approval Tuesday in the House would put the brakes on the Trans-Texas Corridor, a superhighway that a private firm received a contract for earlier this year.

"I don't have time to go over it verse by verse."

Reminds me of what the five wise maidens say. After a while it does get to be too esoteric to fill anyone in on it in a short amount of time, doesn't it?

"It does not make sense that those born again, whose sins are covered by the blood of Christ already would have to go through the judgment of the tribulation. We are not appointed for judgment any more."

It is clear that when the time period is mentioned there is a divide between the first half of the period and the second half, wouldn't you say? The problem you may be encountering is in assuming that the wraths in both halves are the same and from the same Person. We will never endure His wrath, that is true, but tell the brethren in China, for example, that we will not experience the other's wrath and you are likely to get quizzical looks.

Dear brian, you are naive
Brian, Wrong you are...Bush had his buddy Johnny Sutton prosecute Ramos and Compean, both border patrol agents. And his allowing open borders is an affront to ALL Americans- not just republicans! I am an Independant. If you don't recognize when your country is being turned into a third world nation then you are part of the problem. Those Americans wearing blinders are helping Bush push his agenda through, so no thanks to you if the country retains it's sovreigntry.

I agree with you. Where do these folks come from??

I would react to conspiracy theorists almost exactly as Bush did, except I'd be more sarcastic.

Addressing the CTs with these questions: If a greatly expanded United States of America came into being, what would be wrong with it? You'd think adding stars to the flag was the most horrible of horrible things.

If you are old enough to remember when Alaska and Hawaii joined the Union, weren't you proud that they did so and that we accepted them as free and equal members of the Union? Our non-colonial expansionist policy is (or should be) the wonder of the world.

If this isn't abuse of power
What is it?

Property protections were dashed with the veto of an eminent domain bill TxDOT didn't like. Another bill that would have required TxDOT to consider using existing highway routes for future TTC routes was struck down. Alaska and Hawaii
Were added to the United States of America by Ratifying the US Constitution as their Law for the nation, and speak english.

The NAU on the other hand does not come close to making a Mexico or Canada States United under one US Constitution.

Blather on with apples and oranges and the patriots are going to fight this globalist take-over.

John Hawkins says no conspiracy here
"Now, why respond again? What's the point? Well unfortunately, a lot of conservatives consider this conspiracy theory to be so preposterous that they believe it's beneath them to even bother discussing it, and that leaves Corsi and his ilk to dominate the debate. And since there are a lot of conservatives being taken in by this North American Union nonsense, somebody has got to step up to the plate.

Of course, once you decide to respond to a conspiracy theory, you have a very basic problem: the people who believe in this theory didn't reason their way into it, so it's extremely difficult to use reason to convince them that there's nothing to it. In this case, from what I've seen, most people who buy into the NAU conspiracy theory have done so because they're understandably upset about Bush's outrageous position on illegal immigration or because they've heard a few big conservative names like Corsi, Phyllis Schlafly, Michael Savage, Lou Dobbs or Joseph Farah talk about it as if it were reality. Then, they see that we're cooperating with our neighbors on certain issues (which is something that we're always doing) and they leap to the conclusion that we're in the middle of some far ranging plot when nothing could be further from the truth."

Just agreeing with you government needs no checks, and we have no need for any laws about conspiracies.

They never have happened according to you and others here.

It was a waste of time to pass all those laws against conspiracies.

quote ( I love mocking the mockers)

The Sherman Antitrust Act (Sherman Act[1], July 2, 1890, ch. 647, 26 Stat. 209, 15 U.S.C. § 1-7), was the first United States government action to limit monopolies, and is the oldest of all U.S. antitrust laws.

The Sherman Act provides: "Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal".

[2] The Act also provides: "Every person who shall monopolize, or attempt to monopolize, or combine or conspire with any other person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, shall be deemed guilty of a felony

More words of wisdom from Hawkins
"However, not one of the advocates of this conspiracy theory mentioned above has ever produced one single solitary piece of evidence that shows anyone in the Bush Administration is working on an “Amero” or actually merging the U.S. into Canada or Mexico, because there is no such evidence. In fact, that's one of the most striking things about this conspiracy: it's supposedly a grandiose plot that the Bush Administration is engaged in, yet no one from the Bush Administration is ever tied to any of the "evidence," such as it is, that's offered. For example:

A think tank called the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) had a task force that put out a report called "Building A North American Community." If you read through the report, contrary to what you've heard said time and time again by NAU conspiracy theorists, you'll find that it does not call for a "North American Union." Moreover, the CFR itself doesn't even take official positions on foreign policy issues because its members have a wide variety of different opinions on the issues. So, there's no cabal of globalists sitting around at the Council on Foreign Relations, rubbing their hands together sinisterly, and plotting to sell us out to Canada or Mexico—but even if there were, so what? Think tanks champion all sorts of ideas, good and bad; it doesn't necessarily follow that they're implemented by the government."

I'm a Madisonian, therefore
"Just agreeing with you government needs no checks, and we have no need for any laws about conspiracies."

...your statement is ridiculous. Not only does government need checks and balances, it has checks and balances. Read the Federalists, and learn some American political science.

Yet more wisdom from Hawkins
"Then there's Robert Pastor, a liberal university professor and globalist, who has talked about an Amero in one of his books and served as a co-chair of the task force that produced the "Building A North American Community" report. Newsflash: I've talked to Pastor and he denies talking to the Bush Administration about any sort of North American Union. Furthermore, he says that to the best of his knowledge they're not working on any such thing. He also noted that the Amero was one of three ideas he floated in one of his books, that he wasn't married to it, and again, to the best of his knowledge, nobody in the Bush Administration is working on it. In addition, Pastor has this to say about the idea of a North American Union:

'Each of the proposals I have laid out represent (sic) more than just small steps. But it doesn’t represent a leap to a North American Union or even to some confederation of any kind. I don’t think either is plausible, necessary or even helpful to contemplate at this stage.'

Even if Pastor had said exactly the opposite and called for a North American Union to be formed tomorrow, so what? He doesn't work for Bush. It's like having a Communist professor screaming that Lenin was right and we should become a Communist nation tomorrow and then having people like Jerome Corsi go, "See? George Bush is converting America to Communism!" It makes no sense."

You guessed it, more Hawkins
"Next up is NASCO and the Trans-Texas corridor. NASCO is a business organization that promotes businesses up and down a certain stretch of highway in the U.S., Mexico and Canada and they do support the building of the Trans-Texas Corridor. However, NASCO isn't affiliated with the Bush Administration, nor were they formed to promote any sort of North American Union. You can like NASCO or not, you can be for or against the Trans-Texas Corridor, but understand that neither project has anything to do with a plot to merge the United States with Mexico or Canada.

Then there's the Security and Prosperity Partnership. The SPP works under the Commerce Department and they are working on increasing cooperation between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada on a variety of issues (which is something we're always doing). However, again, despite what you may have heard, the SPP is not based on the "Building A North American Community" report. Furthermore, they're not working on an Amero or a North American Union. They say so right on their own website:

'The cooperative efforts under the SPP, which can be found in detail at http://www.spp.gov, seek to make the United States, Canada and Mexico open to legitimate trade and closed to terrorism and crime. It does not change our courts or legislative processes and respects the sovereignty of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The SPP in no way, shape or form considers the creation of a European Union-like structure or a common currency. The SPP does not attempt to modify our sovereignty or currency or change the American system of government designed by our Founding Fathers.'"

tin hatters?
I guess it is less painful to believe the delusion that things will remain the same. The North American Union does not add Mexico and Canada as states! The US constitution will be scrapped. Imagine the US, Canada and Mexico are bodies of water. Change the borders to only the outer perimeter. It all levels DOWN. By design the US will be the loser. Big money/Big power does not care. It will not hurt them. The middle class, the backbone of this country will be destroyed. BY DESIGN

Wonder how our new courts and laws are going to turn out?

And finally...
In honor of the U.S. Open, folks, that's Game, Set, Match.

Hawkins over CTs 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.

Or, to folks in Rio Linda, this is known as a Bee-Eye-Itch Slapping. :)

"With the North American Union conspiracy theory, nobody ever talks about how this could practically be brought about when it would be almost universally opposed by the American people and would likely require a Constitutional Convention to pull off. Presumably, people like Jerome Corsi believe that there will just be a press conference one day announcing the changeover to an Amero and introducing us to our new Canadian and Mexican overlords—actually, these conspiracy theorists never really think that far ahead and they hope that you don't either. They don't want you to consider that there have been no leaks from the Bush Administration about this conspiracy even though thousands of people would have to know about it, that the mainstream media, which would love nothing better than to beat Bush over the head with something like this if it existed, isn't discussing this issue, that the citizens of Canada and Mexico wouldn't go along with a NAU -- you could go on and on.

This is what the conspiracy theorists don't want you to realize because once you get out of the weeds and stop talking about roads, obscure reports, and professors, it becomes obvious that this conspiracy theory doesn't hold water. But, people like Corsi have gone too far out on a limb to ever admit that. So, they'll keep on insisting that the Bush Administration is about to implement a North American Union until Bush is out of office and then they'll try to take credit for preventing the implementation of a non-existent plot rather than admit that they didn't have the slightest idea what they were talking about."

Anna
"I guess it is less painful to believe the delusion that things will remain the same. The North American Union does not add Mexico and Canada as states!"

My point was IF there ever is a North American nation, it WILL come about when Canadian provinces and Mexican states INDIVIDUALLY join the Union.

The North American Union, as you and your fellow CTs imagine it, will NOT come into being for the reasons Hawkins (see several of my posts above) outlined.

Another conspiracy theory shot down in its prime. Boo hoo. :)

Anna
"you may prefer SNL...Denial is not just a river in Egypt."

Automatic acceptance of silliness IS gullibility. Don't lap up whatever is place in front of you.

The real wackos
Are the ones who believe in the laws they support are the only ones important.

The Sherman Act provides: "Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal".

A foreign corporation is given the right to own this toll road for 50 years.
Citizens lose their private property rights so that can be done, and do not even get to vote on it.
And then must pay to use this highway.

How in the world todays youth can possiby think this is the American way is scarey for the idea of either a democracy or as we are, a Republic.

My only question is, is anyone truely this dumb or are they just kidding us all when they think it is not happening?

Highway to Canada a reality
I'm not sure about conspiracies and I haven't read the above comments but I can tell you what I have seen. My family and I went down to the Texas border to go shopping in the Laredo/Nuevo Laredo area in May. I haven't been in two years due to the drug cartel wars that have pretty much shut everything down but I was surprised at the dramatic change in the border at the bridge. The crossover area at the bridge used to be the dead end of I-35 and just some guard houses and a couple of turnstiles but it is now a large "reception" area with banners and signs and planters. What's on the signs? Three flags - Mexican, US and Canadian. Why a Canadian flag on the US/Mexico border? Obviously, the plan is to carry the highway up and on through to Canada or the signs make no sense.

As a Texan, I am not excited about the idea that it will be even easier for drugs to come in with access to a superhighway when we have so much trouble with drugs now that Nuevo Laredo is pretty much a ghost town. There used to be crowds of Americans, including buses of loud, drunk women bussed in from Houston just for the day. No more. As if the Mexicans needed more poverty. The highway will just bring more trouble if we can't control the borders better.

Is there NOTHING we can do???
"As the first big visible step of North American integration, the Bush Transportation Department announced Aug. 17 that it will soon give the go-ahead to allow 100 Mexican trucking companies - with an undetermined number of trucks - to have full access to all U.S. highways and roads. This is an outrageous case of Bush thumbing his nose at the House of Representatives, which voted 411-3 on May 15 to prohibit the entry of Mexican trucks."
==================================

How can we stop this from happening?????

You know, Left
that's an awful lot of effort you put in to convince some that they are kooks. What's your interest in this matter?

NORTH AMERICAN AGENDA
Mrs. Schlafly points out that none of the attendees to this conference would answer the question.
My life's experience has been that people who will not give a direct answer to a direct question MAY be hiding something.
All I can say about it is that, if a North American Union is being planned, I am 100% opposed to it. I, for one, don't want to put the USA in a position of having to consult with Canada and Mexico as to what our foreign policy should be.
President George Washington warned us against such entangling alliances.

Ok, thanks, next question
To those who provided the links to the NAFTA superhighway plans, thank you. Yes, it does exist.

Now, next question:

Why would a free-market conservative object?

Seriously, this seems like a good plan to me. The trade routes to the US interior are shorter this way than shipping from the West Coast, which is where those goods come in today. This will make goods cheaper in the interior. And the thought of bypassing the Longshoremen's Union and the Teamster's Union warms my conservative heart.

Furthermore, I can't see any possible link between building this highway and Congress' reticence to secure the border. We could have an effective border barrier preventing illegal infiltration, and a perfectly acceptable and secure trucking corridor from Mexico's deep-water ports to our interior. They're not incompatible at all.

If all that's in the works is the corridor, I say, bravo capitalism, and build away!

But... I'm open to being convinced that this is a bad idea. Go for it, folks.

MEX., U.S., CAN. - DOWN THE GARDEN PATH
Mexuscan -- has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? The "u" is not a long "u." Note which country is squashed in the middle.

The subject makes me angry.

Illegal immigration and illegal aliens make me angry.

Mexican trucks ("only" 100 carriers, but nobody has said how many trucks) sailing through the U.S. on taxpayer-built roads make me angry. Don't our own trucks tear up the roads enough? Do we need to add Mex-wrecks to the mix?

Practically every politician with whom I need to communicate makes me angry. Some of them don't even bother responding to my inquiries or entreaties but, rather, send me another monthly flyer highlighting their accomplishments (using the term loosely).

NAFTA makes me angry.

The idea of an NAU makes me angry.

Along with about a zillion other voters out there, I am angry. I'd even go so far as to say I'm mad.

Someone sometime back spoke of a "vein of anger" running throughout the nation. I can certainly relate to that.

We are being taken down the garden path without a kiss.

And that makes me angry.

TheLeftIsEvil
It's less a conspiracy than an ideology.

Besides, if there is nothing to it, then this is all fruitless, idle speculation. The actions of the state legislatures in OK and TX trying to stop the NAFTA corridor are meaningless.

And in ten years or so, you and John Hawkins can point to all of us patriots and say, "I told you so".

I hope you two are right.

Follow the money, all you doubters.
Ask yourself, why Mexican truckers instead of Americans? Why Illegals instead of American laborers? Are you so naive as to think major companies will choose patriotism over profits?
It's all about the almighty buck and cheap labor, whether it's Mexican or Chinese. Break organized labor's hold on the American labor force and your profits will skyrocket.

How do you feel about private property rights, eminent domaine, Kelo, and the Tenth Amendment?

Bush - Just Another Sleazy Pol
This guy Bush won by promising the religious right everything, and look what he brings to our country. The rule of law goes out the window. Big spending. Shoddy military strategy. His biggest claim to fame is the war on terror, yet he cannot close down our borders and in fact is openly hostile to same. Bring back Clinton, Bill that is. In terms of impact on the country, it is hard to argue that William Jefferson was any worse than this silly joke named "W". (Jeez, and remember his father's no new taxes and then he raises them -- and yet HE was supposedly "honorable"?) Wake up Republicans, you're gonna lose this time and the character of the party will be tested. Because the Dems ALWAYS win at the tax and spend game.

It may be inconvenient
but what if, we Americans did all we could to
NOT buy any goods/food from Mexico/Canada? I know it's only a small protest and probably won't mean a thing in regards to the bigger picture of the treason. I haven't bought Mexican
produce since NAFTA (I'm not too thrilled with the type of fertilizer used south of the Border, and I don't like Montezuma's revenge imported), and I don't buy Chinese food products or some other Asian exported food/fish that's frozen, and I won't buy anything that say's "distributed by", I buy locally grown produce as much as I can, ditto meats/poultry; and fish from Iceland, New Zealand etc. AS for the toys; I tried not to for awhile, then gave in, but I'm back on
the wagon (with 15 grandkids, 10 under 12 it's not easy.) I guess what I"m saying is a boycott.
Every little protest helps, doesn't it?
Aas for you naysayers..if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then you most certainly are sure it is a duck. I voted twice for Bush and I'm very angry, don't believe anything he says,

Extending the Union to include Mexico would be fantastic for both countries .. good government south of the present border .. a defensible border at Chiapas .. millions of new recruits for the US Military (DOD stats show that Mexican-Americans are the most decorated ethnic group) ... wonderful investment in Mexico to counter a bit of the Far East ..

Yes a bit of ribbons to tie up .. but the integration can be phased in over twenty years ..

Would you folks go for integration then ? Lincoln might even have gone for in 1840 if it had not meant extending slavery ..

There is one explanation......
..for the LeftIsEvil, allen w, brian and the few others continual denial of the obvious. It dawned on me when I started reading things like "...what would be the harm if the NAU was being formed?" within the same post that was trying to ridicule those who do see what's going on. Perhaps they are CFR members themselves?

Only one answer, and a bad one at that
I asked what I thought was a fairly simple question, namely, "What about the NAFTA Superhighway is there for a free-market conservative to object to?"

At 9:51 PM I observed that it seems like a good idea to me, that such a highway would reduce the cost of goods in the US interior, and that it was in no way incompatible with a secure border.

I got one answer, and it was a series of unrelated questions, from The Plumber at 10:28 PM. He asked, "How do you feel about private property rights, eminent domaine, Kelo, and the Tenth Amendment? How about a WoT with wide open borders? What do you think about Plyler vs Doe?"

Answers: I don't see how these relate to the question of whether the NAFTA Superhighway is a good idea from a free-market perspective. You seem to be assuming the entire NAU from the highway, and I'm sorry, one does not follow logically from the other. You can have good roads without joining nations.

But the answers: private property, necessary to our liberties. Eminent domain, limited but unfortunately necessary. Kelo? Bad mistake, is being repealed by legislation as it should. Tenth Amendment, I like it as well as the other 9, but it's sadly been buried by SCOTUS errors allowing overly powerful central govt. WoT with open borders, bad idea, fix it. Plyler, bad idea, fix it.

Now, will somebody please answer the question: as a free-market conservative why is a road connecting us more effective with our trading partners a bad idea?

More effectiveLY
The question was, as a free market conservative, why is a road connecting us more effectiveLY with our trading partners a bad thing?

Robert Pastor, NA Union and the Amero
Robert Pastor, who was one of the authors of the CFR's blueprint, "Building a North American Union", has consistently denied in U.S. interviews that the intention was to create a North American Union.

However, here, in a 2002 presentation to the House of Commons, he said otherwise:
http://www.american.edu/ia/cnas/pdfs/PastorTestimonyCanada.pdf

"Is any of this feasible? Are North Americans prepared to give up their sovereignty? The term “sovereignty” is one of the most widely used, abused and least understood in the diplomatic lexicon. Within the last two decades, the three countries have so completedly redefined the term that one wonders whether any serious policymaker could use it to defend any position."

"The question is whether the people of the three countries are ready for a different relationship, and public opinion surveys suggest that the answer is “yes” and indeed, that the people are way ahead of their leaders. A survey of the attitudes of people in the three countries during the past twenty years demonstrate an extraordinary convergence of values – on personal and family issues as well as public policy."

"The most interesting surveys, however, show a majority of the public in all three countries prepared to join a larger North American country if they thought it would improve their standard of living and environment and not threaten their culture. Mexicans and Canadians do not want to be incorporated into the United States, and they ambivalent about adopting the American dollar, but they are more willing to become part of a single county of North America and of a unified currency, like the “Amero” proposed by Herbert Grubel. The “Amero” would be equivalent of the American dollar"

Neo-con apparatchiks
It is worth noting that all the Fox luminaries, those "former" Trotskyites who are now the voice of the GOP, on cue denied that this is a prelude to an EU-style post-democratic future. It was reminiscent of the immigration talking points repeated ad nauseaum by Chavez, Medved and the like last summer. Beholden to his masters for his meager wages (recall his pathetic defense of the over-the-top guilty Conrad Black), even Mark Steyn prattled on about a conspiracy theory. This is exactly how the EU started: first a coal and steel "community;" then a free trade zone; then free movement of goods and people; then…voila, no more nation-states.

People forget history. Nations have been made and dissolved by the ruling classes for centuries. We live with a false sense of security; a sense that things have always been and always will be thus. We forget that free republics require citizens who are genuinely active, jealous of their sovereignty and their decision-making powers. Those is power have always preferred subjects over citizens. How can we be so presumptions as to believe that what has effectively come to pass in Britain, with its 700 years of independence, cannot happen here?

Anna.....
So you've been studying end times have you?

" I am wondering if the anti-Christ will be Moslem. "

If you go by the biblical definition of anti-Christ, all Muslims are anti-Christs.

"I expect Ez 37/38 to happen fairly soon."

The book of Revelation was written to 7 churches who no longer exists (their lamps exstinguished). But its very ego-centric for you to think that John's warning has direct relevance to you. But IF you studied Revelation, John writing to 7 churches of things that must SOON TAKE place (Rev 1:1, Rev1:3). That John was HIMSELF in the
tribulation (Rev 1:7).

" US doesn't figure in the book of Revelation. But that makes sense. "

One of the few things we agree on. I wish that common sense would carry through on the rest of your exegesis.

"The church age is about to end."

Any scriptural basis for this? No. In fact, its your pre-committment to dispensationalism that forces you to this conclusion.

"The Tribulation is about judgement"

Another thing we agree on. Israel was judged, in 70AD. Romans sacked the temple not leaving one stone left upon another just as Jesus prophesied, and set their standards in the temple as an abomination of desolation.

"but also Israel's national deliverance" Deliverance from what? According to your eschatology, 2/3 of Israel will be destroyed. Count the number of Jews today, and that is worse than the holocaust. Some deliverance.

"before the rapture."
Yet another bogus eschatalogical committment that is has never been believed or thought of before the 1830's in church history.

The non denial argument.
Well if Bush did not deny the NAU then it must be happening. That implies that any denial he made would have been believed by those who think this unification is in the cards.

The president aso did not deny that Elvis was a government agent. Nor did he refute the claims that aliens are mutilating cattle. My point is that a failure to deny something does not make it true. Come on Phyllis, you know better.

The LEFT is evil.....

Thankyou for your responses dealing with this insanity!! Nice to hear a true voice of sanity.

Sonny....
All the land promises were fulfilled. There is one Israel, and the true church is being grafted into her.

The Kingdom of God is here and now, and will continue, not only increasing, but conquering until the the final return of Christ. This does not preclude that there will be nations who require God's judgements (like ours); or that the US may or may not go out of existence.

Dispensational eschatology is on its downward slide, because of its complete and utter failure to deliver what it predicts. Anna will be wrong, too. A book call "Armageddon Now!" documents failure after failure, to the embarassment of dispensationalists. Hal Lindsey has been discredited. John Walvoord has been discredited, Harold Camping has been an embarassment. To list a few: Israel became a nation in 1948. That started the prophetic clock. 1981 should have been the rapture since a generation started at that point. That date has come and gone, with no rapture. I think it was Falwell who claimed that Jesus would return by 2000. 2000 has come and gone.

Interpretting the bible by reading headlines as folks like Anna or someone like Jack VanImpe does, is not what I consider a good witness.

inkling,
"But the answers: private property, necessary to our liberties. Plyler, bad idea, fix it."

A toll road the size that is being proposed cannot be built without a massive land grab. Kelo is the law of the land now, and the actions of states to stifle it are fruitless.

The port in KC is Mexican territory. All goods coming up the NAFTA corridor will go through Mexican customs, NOT US customs, before being shipped to your local Walmart. God only knows how many illegals will make it through that port that will bleed taxpayers dry thanks to decisions like Plyler (also the law of the land).

All so that you can have better(?) access to lead-laden Chinese toys and poisoned dog food.

Don't worry inkling, you'll probably get your superhighway, but none of the things you and I think need to be fixed will be.

PS: A NAFTA tribunal ordered the Bush Administration to start allowing Mexican trucks onto our roadways in 2001. They start rolling this week. Sovereignty? Yeah right.

oops
sorry abt the posts, TH was acting up.

St. Sebastian explains it clearly
The entire game is a long term one. None of the elites believe they are clever enough to shove this down our throats in one whole bite. Just like the creeping socialism that is slowly engulfing the nation, just as our basic rights are slowly being eviscerated, so the one world government agenda will work slowly but inexorably towards its goal.

You had best recognize that both parties are complict in this. The difference is only that the GOP wants the corporations to take the lead because they will produce jobs for the poor around the world. The Dems don't mind that because they see the opportunity for more taxes to spread the welfare mentality around the globe.

In their heart of hearts, these elites believe they know best and they are convinced that in time the NWO will become a reality. Don't think so? Then explain how it is that former SCJ Sandra O'Connor promoted the idea that OUR Constitution should be interpreted in light of the laws of other nations? Where was the outcry from the rest of the elites?

Get this point now, if we elect another of these elites from either party, the end result will be a disaster for the future of the nation and our children, although the kids have been so brainwashed that I doubt if they even sense what is happening. Yes, the world is changing, but remember that the do-gooders want to control your life and everyone elses to build their version of paradise that in reality will become a nightmare.

If you want to take action, visit my website, JOEOLIVAFORPRESIDENT.ORG, and see how we can reclaim the birthright the elites have stolen from us. Thanks, Joe

Hawkins in Disguise?
TheLeftIsEvil

You have proven that you can cut and paste John Hawkins Kool Aid denial.

Dictionary.com defines a conspiracy as; “an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons.”

There is a conspiracy but it is no longer a theory.

If the NAU/SPP does not exist why does the Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007, S.1348, have a provision on page 211, for fast tracking the North American Union inserted in the bill?

"It is the sense of Congress that the United States and Mexico should accelerate the implementation of the Partnership for Prosperity to help generate economic growth and improve the standard of living in Mexico, which will lead to reduced migration," the draft legislation states on page 211 on the version time-stamped May 18, 2007 11:58 p.m." http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55787

John Hawkins, Michael Medved, and TheLeftIsEvil are in denial when the facts are on the Internet for anyone to read. These guys refuse to believe what is happening right in front of them and then attack anyone that has done their homework.

Dr. Jerome Corsi and Judicial Watch have used the FOIA to obtain the proof that the North American Union is being created in secret, behind closed doors and have posted the documents on the Internet for everyone to read.

There is no "conspiracy theory" here, whether about black helicopters or anything else. The evidence that supports the idea of a strategy aimed at ending U.S. sovereignty by creating a borderless world is in print, often by the authors of its own longstanding advocates, for those who can read plain English.

Screaming "conspiracy theory" is nothing more than committing a straw man (an informal fallacy of basic logic).

Ridicule is the last resort of those who have lost the argument, as the skeptics clearly have.

Treason Abounds ~ Gov't Cabal Plots North American Union (NAU)
http://www.stopthenorthamericanunion.com/TreasonAbounds.html

"The SPP.gov website has tried to counter We the People's opposition to the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) by publishing a rebuttal titled: Myths vs. Facts.

Note, item number one on their list which states:

Myth: The SPP was an agreement signed by Presidents Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in Waco, TX, on March 23, 2005.

Fact: The SPP is a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries. The SPP is NOT an agreement nor is it a treaty. In fact, no agreement was EVER signed.

"Their 'fact' does not hold up under scrutiny. It is basically a BALD-FACED LIE! It is propaganda in its boldest form."

"How do I know Because on a Canadian government website there was a statement made and signed by Prime Minister Martin which declares the following:

"on March 23, President Bush, President Fox and I SIGNED the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America that establishes the way forward on our continental agenda for security, prosperity and quality of life."

The above quote can be found on page 2 of 5. It is the last sentence in the sub-section titled Canada in North America in a document signed by PM Paul Martin: http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/cip-pic/ips/ips-overview2-en.asp.

Good job,
ScottyDog!

I just heard Schlafly on a local radio show. Apparently the Mexicans are going to run the port in KC, but US taxpayers will pay for it.

Hawkins, Chief Wiggim
A UFO has a mid-air collision with a meteor over the stadium where the Superbowl is being played, which results in the deaths of thousands of spectators.

Hawkins (Chief Wiggim) shows up on the scene and says, "Move along folks, nothing to see here."

Do you want to be a little more specific? Of the 790 pages, it is a little hard to find something that resembles what you claim on page 211. My copy of S1348 has on page 211 text about detention facilities. Nothing about fast tracking the NAU.

wildwest
Bush is not the whole circus, only the latest ringmaster. Where were you all in 04? He has been the same since the beginning. Oh, I know, you voted for the lesser of the evils presented, right?

The next President, former republican Rodham, will not waver on what is best for you. The only question is what spoon full of sugar she will use to make the medicine go down.

Did you go to the Worldnetdaily article link?

The language was put into the last version that did not get cloture

Sorry Scotty Dog.....
Even the World Net Daily article does not say that.

Here is the quote:

It is the sense of Congress that the United States and Mexico should accelerate the implementation of the Partnership for Prosperity to help generate economic growth and improve the standard of living in Mexico, which will lead to reduced migration," the draft legislation states on page 211 on the version time-stamped May 18, 2007 11:58 p.m.

The problem with Conspiracists, we deal with fuzzy grey conspiracies. When conspiracists do the bait and switch: Bait: We are headed for a North American Union, the end of US currency, the introduction of the Amero, the end of our sovereignty as a nation, the end of the abrogation of the Constitution, and laws and rights which protect us. Switch: Agreements to try to improve economic growth with our biggest trading partners, as part of the larger conspiracy above, I completely lose faith in what you guys are about. Of course, your insults will quickly follow. Sure proof you have no argument.

heresyarch,
If we "conspiracists" are wrong, then there is nothing to worry about, is there? If's just idle speculation, right? You can then say to all of us, "I told you so."

If we are right, does it matter to you?

It's, not "If's"
.

Plumber....
Is this another form of Pascal's wager?

If you conspiracists are wrong, there is a lot to worry about. I hope conservatism is about intellectualism, and realism and not anti-intellectualism...a whole lot of hype that ends up doing more to conservative causes...that conservatives end up getting branded as kooks. Next I worry about the fallacies people believe. I keep reading comments about the dangers of free trade. Jeez people, do a little reading. Start with Thomas Sowell's "Basic Economics". Free trade benefits both parties in the transactions. I hear more calls from the CT side of the isle to set up trade barriers that only harm both trading partners.....all to protect a few jobs at the cost of the larger populace. This is not conservatism....its liberalism. And I really worry when I come to Townhall which has columnists like Sowell and Walter Williams to see posts from readers quoting idiots like Lou Dobbs favorably. So sorry plumber, I have a lot to worry about. This isn't a form of Pascal's wager.

Plumber continued....
Take the free trade. CT dispensationalist Anna claims that our ports will be bypassed for ports in Mexico. I have a hard time believing that can really happen, but let's for argument sake say it can. Is there economic reason for doing so? Is it cheaper? Will the greater American populace get goods to market faster? Is it more secure? None of this is even considered intelligently by Anna. Its just bad news that she doesn't need to sorry about because in a twinkling of an eye, she'll be raptured right out of here before all hell breaks loose, and the beast of revelation takes over.

Get the picture?
