Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

With reports circulating of its imminent demise, The New York Times announced in January that it had found a white knight.

Sort of. For the knight in question, who already owns 6 percent of the sinking Times and was investing $250 million in notes carrying 14 percent interest, was Carlos Slim. Reputedly the richest man in the world, taking the title from Bill Gates in 2007, Carlos is not so highly regarded in his own country.

In Mexico, according to Forbes, "the media and the masses long have held a sneaking suspicion that there is something shady about Slim. He is described as a rapacious monopolist who built his empire on cozy ties to Mexican presidents ... ."

For this column, however, the issue is not how Carlos bought up the Mexican telephone monopoly, but whether this Big Enchilada has bought up Andrew Rosenthal's editorial page.

For, two weeks after Carlos' bailout cash arrived, Rosenthal's page launched a hysterical attack on the patriots' movement that seeks to halt the invasion of the United States from Mexico.

Targets: my sister Bay; our American Cause foundation and its executive director, Marcus Epstein; Peter Brimelow, the author of a seminal work on U.S. immigration, "Alien Nation"; Jim Pinkerton of Fox News, a White House aide to Bush I; Fox's Bill O'Reilly; and this writer.

In the Times' editorial, "Return of the Nativists," Brimelow is said to run an "extremist Website" (VDARE.com) where he and I post "musings about racial dilution and the perils facing white people." Pinkerton was behind the "racist Willie Horton ads." Epstein holds "white-supremacist" views. And we all are into "racialist extremism" and "Latino-bashing," which calls to mind "the days of the Know-Nothings and the Klan."

Racism "is all around us," wails the Times. And the nation has a "perpetual need for vigilance," even in this new "age of Obama."

What occasioned this wilding attack? A news conference at the National Press Club, where the Times reporter failed to show, and release of a dry report by Epstein that contends that GOP defeats in 2008 had nothing to do with the strong stand most Republicans took for border security.

The Times calls the report "nonsense." But the case is open and shut. Of 26 House Republicans who lost, Epstein found only one who was a strong border-control candidate defeated by a pro-amnesty Democrat. In every other GOP defeat, either the Democrat was tough on amnesty and border security or the Republican was wimpish.

That John McCain, who led the effort to put illegal aliens on a path to citizenship, got less than a third of the Hispanic vote shows that being pro-amnesty does not necessarily win the Hispanic vote. And the 70 percent of New Yorkers who rejected Eliot Spitzer's proposal to give driver's licenses to illegals, forcing Hillary Clinton to abandon her own governor, should tell even the obtuse Times which way the wind is blowing.

But rather than argue with us, the Times chose to slime us as racists and white supremacists. This is of a piece with the Times' sliming of the Californian electorate that voted against state recognition of homosexual marriage. To the Times, that 52-48 vote meant "right-wing forces, led by the Mormon Church," had "enshrined bigotry in the state's Constitution."

Both diatribes reveal much about the fall of a great newspaper and the degeneration of a political philosophy that was once hegemonic in America. Liberalism has hardened into an ideology, a rabid religion that anathematizes any and all heretics.

To the Times' editorial writers, dissent from orthodoxy on illegal aliens or gay rights can only be explained by bigotry, hatred, racism or xenophobia in the hearts of the dissidents. To oppose the Times' agenda on social or moral issues is ascribed to mental illness or moral sickness.

Yet, as these negative views on homosexual marriage and illegal immigration remain mainstream views, the Times comes off, as it did in Sunday's sophomoric editorial, as loathing Middle America.

In its own mind, the Times is battling heroically the forces of hatred. Can it not, by rereading its own words, see the hatred in its own heart?

As Christ Himself said, Andrew, "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."

Let it be said. There is nothing wrong about Americans fighting to preserve the culture and country they grew up in. That is what patriotic conservatism is all about. And if the Times can understand and support the right of native tribes like the Navajo and Apache to preserve their unique character and culture, why this viral hatred of those of us who wish to preserve the Western and Christian character of America?

Why does the Times want to see our America destroyed? From what poisoned well comes this hatred of the America we love?

Correction--should have read they would not agree.

"I like your posts. My Nigerian nephew-in-law, my Philipino son-in-law and my Korean neice-in-law also all concur."

I bet--unless they were mad--they would agree with his support to cease all immigration for 20 years and his crying over non-white immigration.

Tangledad
Pat isn't just against illegal immigration--but immigration, especially non-white immigration which would include your wife. And yes--looking at Pat's stance on the issue it does draw one to the conclusion that he is a racist.

Dad...again
"Buying American is nationalism..."

What it is actually is economic stupidity. Buying products based where they are made is a foolish economic choice. Spending an extra dollar on an American product over a comparable Chinese product does you no favors. That is a dollar you can no longer invest, save or spend on another product--perhaps one made in the US.

Tanglelad
If Pat had his way, your Korean wife would have stayed in Korea. How does supporting Pat's basically racist stance on immigration favor you (who I assume you would rather have her inside the US) or her (who I assume would rather be in the US than there). He doesn't look all that well on your kids either as he'd consider them part of the destruction of the white race immigration has caused.

Tangledad
"Or when my half-breed daughters refuse to list their races, the school lists them as asian anyway, and tells them its because they'll get more benefits."

My school district has multiracial and your children's school admins are right. Asians in general don't get much benefits from Affirmative Action because they in general are just too successful and thus not given its benefits. Before Proposition 209 was passed in California, it was Asians--especially Asian males that were getting the short end of the stick--which is odd why Asian "civil rights" organizations opposed it.

But in general, the advice is sound. As Asians still as a minority get more benefits than whites.

All I can say In wish I was her lawyer because if she so desired I'd expect she could be a fairly well off woman once she sued the city and the police department. Sadly, she can't sue the officers personally as they are immune, but she can hit the department and the town.

"But Pat Buchanan Talks Like a Racist
I have been watching Pat Buchanan on TV for years. Currently he is on the McLaughlin Report and often appears on The Rachel Maddow Show. He always sounds like a racist, certainly an isolationist."

So, not wanting America to become a third world country for the benefit of Wall Street plutocrats and wanting America to go overseas to kill people for the profits for the above people is "racism"?

I reckon that makes me a "racist" and you, dear Lilly, an idiot. I bet you cannot even define "racism".

inthemajority,

First of all, learn how to spell Pat's last name. Here's a hint. It is attached to the column.

"Wasn't Buchanon past of our current fiasco? Doesn't Buchanon understand that the Republican way of life, i.e., I got mine, now go get yours, cannot be sustained, and eventually even Joe the plumber has to go on the dole?"

He has been speaking out against globalization for years. Have any of your heros? Of course not. You would know this if you read Pat's columns on a regular basis. Instead, the rest of us get a knee jerk reaction from you.

This Is Nothing New!
The Times has always been pro-amnesty. In fact, the Times makes John McCain look like Jim Gilchrist. Their pro-amnesty stance has little to do with Carlos Slim, and everything to do with keeping the Dems perpetually in power. Liberals, like the idiots at the Times, know that illegal aliens generally flock to entitlement programs. The Democrat party is the party of entitlements. Therefore, if illegals are allowed to attain citizenship, they will always vote to wash the hand that feeds them. Thus, the Dems will always remain in power, and the Republicans will be a fleeting memory. If criminal aliens ever gain amnesty, God help us all!

Fox News, going down
That 8+ Billion loss must be because nobody watches Fox anymore. Or wait, maybe it's the Bush economy.

Maybe TH-ers need to get their stories straight. Is it the ideology of Fox that is causing their demise, or the Bush economy, or is Rupert losing his mind? According to Con logic, it must be one of these.

Wasn't Buchanon past of our current fiasco? Doesn't Buchanon understand that the Republican way of life, i.e., I got mine, now go get yours, cannot be sustained, and eventually even Joe the plumber has to go on the dole?

When Was The Last Time You Bought 1?
I can't remember the last time I bought a NYTimes newspaper. I don't visit their website very often, except to confirm what others say was printed (see it with my own eyes). Not a dime of my $ for the disrespect of my intellect. Do they really think most Americans are truly dumb? Well, Obama won, so that may be the case...

Gunny
We got a taste of that in the 90's, with clintons jackboots going after a six year old
in Florida, Elian Gonzalez; and lets not forget WACO.

"THEY" are uneducated
"Why does the Times want to see our America destroyed? From what poisoned well comes this hatred of the America we love?"

The basic issue is a lack of education. They're uneducated, "they" don't know what REAL racism is. This country is a model for the rest of the world to follow, not the cesspool they portray us to be. "They" have no knowledge of political science and what it is that caused early humans to form societies. They are throwing out the best of America because they don't get it.."they" don't understand. You can blame the Democrats for that too...no parents in their right mind would have their kids in public school today. I rejected public schools for my kids in 1980 when my oldest began her educational journey.

To daisylane
We do have that candidate. Her name is Sarah Palin! She's the whole package with style AND substance. I think she could be the USA's Margaret Thatcher.

NY Times propaganda Rag
I think we should be just as tough as Mexico is on their southern border with illegal aliens. Only Americans are put on the defensive for protecting its system of government and enforcing its laws. The more that they scream "racism" in response to our wanting to have order and lawfulness, the more we should be concerned with their motives and their loyalty to this country. Reasonable, patriotic people understand that we must enforcee our laws and protect our borders, rather than accept chaos. Beware of their true intentions.
Also, with the advent of the internet, we all should consider the devastating effects of newspapers and magazines like the NY Times & US magazine have on the environment. We have the ability to express our First Amendment rights electronically, like we have here. Therefore, I have no reservation to say it is time to be environmentally conscious and stop paying for print media.
Think about the trees that would be saved, as well as the energy consumed printing, circulating, recycling and disposing of such a wasteful and irrelevant rag like the NY Times.

Originalist
Pay no attention to "lilly." She is a ridiculous creature who thinks that the little anecdotes of her history are life lessons for all humanity.

If you simply think of her as one of those tedious old women who sit around nursing homes complaining of their ailments and telling the same tiresome stories about their fat untalented grandchildren, you'll not have to waste another moment of your valuable time on earth on her or her pointless fables.

Speaking Out
The subject of illegal immigration and our own catering to them MUST BE DISCUSSED and Pat has always had the courage to speak plainly.

It is the liberals of America who have labeled anyone who is not willing to bend over and grab the ankles as "RACISTS".

It's just a manipulative tool, nothing more. It is no more than a way to shut up your opponents. Point your finger and accuse. Kind of like the Muslims that threaten violence if you don't convert.

However, if we speak intelligently and fearlessly, the focus will stop being at the ends of their fingers. And those who were confused before will be no longer.

Please write about this
Our brave troops being electrocuted -

"Defense contractor KBR Inc. has been awarded a $35 million Pentagon contract involving major electrical work, even as it is under criminal investigation in the electrocution deaths of at least two U.S. soldiers in Iraq."

This is no longer America
My friend's wife is Korean. She ended up, due to a neighborhood dispute, being arrested and taken downtown for interagation. She has been a citizen of America for over 40 years, yet because she did not have a passport nor was she carrying her citizenship papers, they threatened to put her in detention and deport her. This despite the fact that she had a valid driver's license and a military dependent's ID. Their reply was that they couldn't trust anyone and they had to have proof. They finally, after four hours of grilling, got the info they needed from their computer, and apologized. My friends, if we don't do something to stop this liberal fascist trend in our country, we will all be facing the same Gestapo treatment. And liberalism is supposed to equate to Utopia. Riiiiight.

Tangletad
I like your posts. My Nigerian nephew-in-law, my Philipino son-in-law and my Korean neice-in-law also all concur.

The hottest i ever saw anybody get on the subject of illegal immigration was a lady of Jamaican extraction who had spent years and thousands becoming an American citizen. Guess whether she favored amnesty for illegal aliens.

The best Buchanan ever
Paragraph after paragraph stated well the truths that have divided our country.

The only hope is that the twisted mind sets of people like those who run the times, like thr trolls who come on here and have the crazy arrogance to believe they can read my mind and tell me my motivations for holding conservative views. I prefer fiscal responsibility because i am morally bankrupt!!! I favor recognition of merit because i am a bigot? I abhor abortion because i am a misoginist? I am a typical greedy mean-spirited white person, bitterly clinging to my guns, bible and racism?

I know lots of Democrats. I married one. None of them hold the views above. Who are these people who wield so much politically correct power, who dominate the MSM? What do they really want?

Well-meaning fluff-heads buy into their stuff. Hollywood is a prime example. Germany was turned from a militant trouble-maker into the most sedate and cautious of European powers by the misery of 2 gruesomely lost wars. Misery and crisis can return the most self-deluded fool to reality. Maybe it will happen here.

NYT..is junk and should be thrown out
Like all trash the best place for the NYT is the rubbish bin.
My California liberal stepmother once told me that the NYT was her homepage on her computer and was proud of it.."her "path" to enlightnment" I told her she's an idiot and luckily I haven't had to put up with her spews since. She won't visit me anymore or at least avoids it if at all possible...I easily can live with this estrangement.

Pat's right, we need to clamp down and put AMERICA first and foremost and get back to the founders ideals.
No more "tolerance or political correctness" they're a plague, like the black death.
No more being submissive and passive... time to get our dander up and resurect this land of ours or it'll be forever lost

DON'T TREAD ON ME! was the warning on the Gadsden Flag and we need to rally behind it!

I have listened to Pat numerous times and he never was racist. So I dont believe she was ever the object of anti-hispanic prejudice.

Collins, Specter & Snowe just SOLD OUT..

BREAKING NEWS:

Senators Collins, Specter & Snowe just sold the United States out. Calling them "RINOs" is an insult to RINOs.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D966EEQ80&show_arti cle=1

WASHINGTON (AP) - With job losses soaring nationwide, Senate Democrats reached agreement with KEY REPUBLICANS Friday night on an economic stimulus measure at the heart of President Barack Obama's plan for combatting the worst recession in decades. "The American people want us to work together. They don't want to see us dividing along partisan lines on the most serious crisis confronting our country," said SEN. SUSAN COLLINS of Maine, one of two GOP senators who signaled support for the bill.

Officials put the cost of the measure at $780 billion in tax cuts and new spending combined. No details were immediately available, and there appeared to be some confusion even among senators about the price tag as floor debate continued late into the night.

The agreement capped a tense day of backroom negotiations in which Senate Majority Leader HARRY REID, joined by White House chief of staff RAHM EMANUEL, sought to attract the support of enough Republicans to give the measure the needed 60-vote majority.

In addition to COLLINS, Sen. ARLEN SPECTER, R-Pa., said he would vote for the bill. Sen. OLYMPIA SNOWE, R-Maine, remained uncommitted." (cap emphasis mine)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks to these three SELL-OUTS (Collins, Specter and Snowe), a few years from now, our country will be forced to default on its debt obligations.
That’ll be after hyper-inflation has destroyed the value of our currency.
These 3 Traitors have enabled the Leftocrats to BORROW nearly a TRILLION DOLLARS, and flush it down the toilet on wasteful pet pork projects.
A trillion dollars.
That’s 1,000,000,000,000.00
If any of these three American Traitors (Senators Collins, Specter and Snowe) happen to be YOUR Senator, please, FIRE THEM.
So What?
If NYT can't find financing through normal banking channels, then they need a Carlos Slim to finance their deficits at that outrageous "Shylockian" interest rate of 14%. I find no threat present from Slim as Pat failed to mention that Slim acquired Preferred B shares which have no voting power. Preferred A does and it is all controlled by the owning Sulzberger family who are reluctant to give them up. So I doubt at this point in time that Slim has any influence on the Time's editorial views. It's business as usual for the Times.
Carlos Slim
I suspect that he loves America.
And I could bet that he wants to control more of it.
New Focus
It's past time waiting for the demise of the liberal media.
It isn't going to happen. These places aren't going to go belly-up anytime soon, nor are they going to be objective. They haven't been in their history, and there's no use hoping for it now.
Solzhenitsyn spoke at length of the corruptness and span of the power of the media, and the journalists therein. He also spoke of their tactics.
I suggest, if anyone really wants an in-depth analysis of why this country is in the toilet, to read "A World Split Apart".
There isn't any Hannity or Limbaugh nincompoopery in Solzhenitsyn's lecturing. It is dead-on, cogent, and quite a testament.
You won't be sorry for reading it, and, once done, you may decide that these targets are not worth wasting more ammo on anymore.
Save the Trees
The Times should voluntary go out of business to save all the trees it wastes tearing down America.
Tanglelad CRUSHES Lilly
OUCH! Lilly, don't be so open minded that your brain falls out. Nevermind, too late!
NY Times
The NY Times is like a rabid dog that has heard it's death knell, and tries to infect as many as it can. Goodbye, NY Times you won't be missed.
nee Salim
His parents migrated from Lebanon. He is married to a Mexican-Lebonese woman.
Salim, Slim, Slimey... take your pick.
Unlike Publius at #14, I'd like to see the NYTimes suffer long & painfully -- maybe even going over to the other side & admitting its faults, and finally begging, before it expires.
And I would hope that Salim & the family that owns the Times go down equally hard. It couldn't happen to more deserving folks!
FeedFwd
Our trade deficit with China would not be affected by a Fair Tax although I would certainly welcome it.
It is what it is because of 'a profit now, who cares about America tomorrow' attitude from both parties and corporations.
"Let's try this." is not a good foreign policy.
Lilly
I am white.
Tell me which is more racist:
When my Korean wife complains to me that the person behind the counter at the DMV got angry with her when he could not be understood, because he didn't bother to learn english as she did.
Or when my half-breed daughters refuse to list their races, the school lists them as asian anyway, and tells them its because they'll get more benefits.
My Mexican brother-in-law and my Mexican son-in-law says illegals give him a bad name.
My black cousin says the over-sexualization in black culture repulses her.
My Philippino son-in-law says racism is far greater in minorities than the white people of America.
Do you not recognize that controlling our borders, unifying our language and keeping the control of our economy out of the hands of foreign theocracies, socialist, communists and the like is good isolationism?
And that forcing english speaking children to learn spanish is bad.
Or that it's bad for a country that rests right on our border to remain in third-world status where perverts flock to have sex with 10 year old sex-slaves because it is run by a horribly corrupt autocracy?
If not, then I'd have to say that it is actually your attitude that is a particular brand to be avoided.
the key word is VOLUNTARY...
I would never use patriotism as a slur and I respect anybody who wants to buy American for whatever reason. Historically, Americans have been more industrious, innovative, and productive than anybody in the world. It really didn't matter if other countries manufactured products using cheap or slave labor. It still wouldn't if our own government didn't put in place so may hurdles and disincentives to buy American. Protectionism is a dangerous weapon. There is no reason for manufacturers elsewhere or their governments not to react in kind to protectionist measures. It insulates our own manufacturing base from the rigors of competition and can lead to fewer and poorer choices, higher prices and lower quality.
One answer that would make our own manufacturers more competitive is to replace income, payroll, and capital gains taxes with the Fair Tax. Then imports would be put on the same footing, tax wise as our own domestic suppliers. The pendulum swung, for many reasons, to buying strictly on cost. A few poisonings later, and we are all a bit more value conscious than price conscious.
This is not an issue that is simple enough to cover in a few sound bites. There is the "shrinking of the world" due to travel and communication technologies and their impact on financial markets. There is the issue of comparative advantage and the confusion it creates when you look at the global economy superficially. There is the effects of illegal immigration and legal immigration of people who refuse to assimilate. There is the education problem... not to put too fine an edge on it, but too many Americans are just too stupid or ignorant for words.
New York ObamaTimes
May its end be swift and decisive. Good riddance.
Liberal Fascist Racism
By far the biggest problem in America with regard to racism is the anti-European-American racism of the liberal fascists, represented in America by the democrat party. There is nothing more racist than advocating and promoting the invasion of America by foreigners who have no intention of assimilating. What the liberal fascists call "xenophobia" is simply an honorable desire not to be overrun by invaders. There is nothing more racist than government policies which give preference to people based on skin color, and the only such policies in place are those instituted by the liberal fascists. Pat Buchanan has been the target of the most vile racism witnessed in America since the days of slavery. He is an honorable man who expresses forbidden thoughts - he idea that European-Americans should be treated fairly by the government that they built and that they pay for.
FeedFwd
Nationalism is only bad if you attach socialism to it, such as National Socialist German Workers' Party.
Buying American is nationalism as are many other patriotic policies. But it's been turned into a dirty word.
Isolationism, or rather, the reasonable protectionism Pat has long called for is no more difficult to discredit than fatherhood. All you have to do is point at Homer Simpson and other bad examples that actually don't represent the extent.
We send our money and go into debt to countries that want to destroy us. China, Venezuela, middle east. Pat would stop that. Even if we let the rest of the chips fall where they may, it would be a universe of difference.
Our present "Global Citizen" policies are going to friggin kill us as a power and a nation. It's already underway.
Run again Pat. I'm behind you.
But Pat Buchanan Talks Like a Racist
I have been watching Pat Buchanan on TV for years. Currently he is on the McLaughlin Report and often appears on The Rachel Maddow Show. He always sounds like a racist, certainly an isolationist. And his sister is worse. This controversy reminds me of when Linda Chavez pointed out that saying "the sound of the Spanish language makes me sick" (I am paraphrasing) has nothing to do with violation of our borders---it is pure and simple xenophobia. Conservatives landed on her neck. Look. I am not Hispanic, do not even look Hispanic, have had ancestors here for >300 years, but I speak Spanish because as a child I learned it when living abroad---and several times I have been the object of anti-Hispanic prejudice from people who have advised me to go back to my own country or have assumed I was the maid---because they heard me speaking Spanish. That does show a certain attitude, and it's not a nice one. Buchanan is the natural leader of people with such an attitude.
The man
Buchanan is the best. We would hardly have any of the problems we are having today if we elected him when he ran for pres.
Tangledad...
Mr Buchanan is a good guy and all of those things you said are more or less true. But he does look at the world through glasses colored by nationalism. That isn't necessarily bad, we could use more nationalism, but it does lead to some questionable arguments, especially in the economic realm.
................
A few days ago I mistakenly said the NYSlimes took a loan at 14% from an oil sheik. My mistake, it was a Mexican tycoon.
Preach On Brother
I and my multi-ethnic family have been calling for Pat to be President for almost 20 years.
They slapped him with the racist brand long ago because they knew he was a heavy hitter. Break right through that label Pat.
Pat has what no other candidate in decades has had:
A superior command of American and world history.
A superior command of the American and world economy.
A solid moral foundation to which he is willing to be held accountable to.
A solid understanding of people and cultures.
A profound love for America and her people.
A desire to protect America first.
A willingness to benefit others.
An astounding understanding of leftist ideology and strategy.
Fearlessness.
Preach on brother. Preach on.
RE: Let It Go
As the wise man once said " If the toilet is clogged, plunge it and let it go." Precisely the possible future fate of the New York Times, once the trend setting icon of a distinguished class of media and now, laced with scandal ridden writers with made up stories; a lie-at-all cost source choosing to denegrate the people who dare disagree or have opposing viewpoints; an acerbic critic with no boundries for reason or fact; and a glorified, unqualified voice for the likes of the Al Franken's of the world. When all else fails "yell racisim" a sure attention getter. Though I often disagree with Pat B, he's right on with this one.
Am I missing something?
Pat is saying that in order to survive, the ny times took money from a guy who expects them to slant the news in a certain direction. It sure adds up that way.
So why isn't this getting more coverage?
Why no condemnation for the Navajo?
...because the Navajo way of life is no threat to the folks of the NY Times. The Navajo Creed will never mention abortion, drugs, sexual restraint, or anything other than being nice to Mother Earth.
They know that Christianity is our past, is our present, but may not necessarily be our future. They want to loosen the bonds that restrain us, not realizing that those chords are lifelines. They're tired and bored with what they don't hold, appreciate, or revere. Thus, they're the ones who will find themselves on the ash-heap of history. How many times does it have to happen to their cohorts before they learn?
The end of civilization?
Do civilizations hit a peak and then self-destruct? Why are we committing cultural suicide? Why are supposedly intelligent people in America (liberals) hell-bent on turning the U.S. into a third-world country?
I suspect it is more about power than ideology. Third-worlders overwhelmingly vote Democrat, the party that has been hijacked by leftists. Democrats care nothing about preserving America, only power for themselves. But to the extent that leftists do think about America, it is only to hate it. These people are sick, not to mention evil.
Where's our rock star candidate?
You're absolutely right, Pat.
The only answer: we need our own rock-star candidate, our own cultural icon, our own 'brand,' who can articulate staunch conservatism, assimilation, tight border control, patriotism, non-hyphenated Americanism, the works. We need our own conservative Britney or Paris or Lindsey.
In this age of celebrity, that's the only way to drown out the voices of the liberal media.
Because deep down, we know most Americans are still conservative at heart.
I hope.
NYT, a Dinosaur Still Trying to Survive
Thanks, Pat, you're beginning to return to your best role, that of a leader of American conservatives. Like thousands of others I no longer read the NYT. The paper is run--and read--by blithering idiots.
It's like an old friend who you used to admire and respect but were forced to change your mind because you saw he was descending into total dementia.
Are newspapers going the way of the classic buggy whip? It's time their owners took a time out and considered a complete makeover of their mission and their content.
Perhaps only small community newspapers can survive based on local advertisers. What we don't want to see is newspapers subsidized by the Obama government. Oh, wait, he doesn't have to subsidize them. They have had his back ever since he announced his candidacy.
