Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

When the assassination of John F. Kennedy horrified a nation, Black Muslim Minister Malcolm X declared it payback for America's violence in the world, a case of "chickens coming home to roost."

"Being an old farm boy myself," said Malcolm, "chickens coming home to roost never did make me sad, they've always made me glad."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright surely had Malcolm's words in mind when, the Sunday after the 9-11 massacre of 3,000 Americans, he declared this, too, was a case of "America's chickens ... coming home to roost."

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

So Wright told his congregation on Sept. 16, 2001.

In a sermon delivered at the Howard University chapel on Jan. 15, 2006, reports Ron Kessler of NewsMax, Wright "blamed America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs and creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president." Wright told the Howard students:

"Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run. No black man will ever be considered for president ... and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body.

"America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. ... We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. ... We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against (Fidel) Castro and (Muammar) Ghadhafi. ... We put (Nelson) Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority, and believe it more than we believe in God.

"We started the AIDS virus. ... We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty." Thus did the Rev. Wright conclude.

This virulent strain of anti-Americanism and Afroracism has long fed the rage, resentment and paranoia in precincts of black America, which manifests itself in the horrendous (and hidden) statistics of black-on-white crime in America. Nothing exceptional there.

What is exceptional is that Wright is the spiritual father of Barack Obama, the pastor, teacher and mentor who brought Barack into the church, married him and Michelle, baptized their children and has been a confidant to the man who would be America's president.

For 20 years, Barack has attended Wright's church, listened to his weekly sermons, entertained him in his home. Yet, says Barack, he never heard any racist rants at church, nor was he aware that Wright held so poisoned a view of his country.

Sorry, that is not credible. Wright is a famous preacher in black America, and Barack's denial he was aware of his views marks him down either as a dissembler or a man so obtuse he ought not be a security guard at Wal-Mart, let alone president of the United States.

It is easy now to understand why Michelle Obama, before Barack began to win, had never once been proud of her country. Who could be proud of the America that lives in the malignant imagination of the Rev. Wright?

Barack has now moved to separate himself from Wright's rants and removed him from the campaign roster. And he will likely be forced, with anguish, to turn his back on, repudiate, and reject his beloved friend and teacher.

But it is too late for that. For Wright has, for millions of Americans, filled in the blanks about Barack. Wright tells us the kind of company Barack keeps, the kind of men he holds close, the kind of attitudes and beliefs he finds acceptable, if not congenial.

That Wright is a revered preacher in black America also tells us that, far from coming together, we Americans are further apart than we were in the 1950s, when Negroes could be described as Christian, conservative and patriotic. Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad did not speak for black America then. Roy Wilkins, Whitney Young and Dr. Martin Luther King did. But Jeremiah Wright makes Stokely Carmichael and Rap Brown sound like the Mills Brothers.

Truly, the Democratic Party is now headed for a train wreck. Though Barack seems likely to win more pledged delegates than Hillary, the super-delegates will have to decide whether they want to offer America a nominee whose pastor and mentor embodies the anti-white racism and anti-Americanism that has ever brought the patriotic blood of Middle America to a boil. Wright is not the sort of fellow you want to bring with you into "Deer Hunter" Country.

OK, so now we know
that Obama is a racist and a hypocrite. Where does taht leave us? The alternatives are the lizard queen and the Constitution-shredder McCain. It's sad what it's come to. This once-great nation is on its way out if we can't choose leaders with any more substance than these.

McAmnesty's Religion Flip
I know Sidney McAmnesty met with the late pastor Fallwell at the start of his campaign last year, a "cleric" I heard say on a radio program that Jews cannot go to heaven, and that God does not hear the prayers of Jews. Sidney also met this year with pastor Hagee for backing, and he is an outspoken hater of Catholics and Jews. Recently McAmnesty switched from Episcopalian (my sect) to Baptist. Did Falwell and Hagee offer him the "convert or die politically" option? I would like a full report on the religious background and religious political supporters of McAmnesty, and you might as well throw in the sanctity of Edmund-Hillary for complete coverage.

Myths that Destroy
So a Harvard education leads you to believe that AIDs was a massive U.S. plot to destroy African American people. If Barack Obama believes the nonsense that his pastor Wright spews he should ask for the return of his tuition money. What kind of a president would he make when he won't even dispute the illogical and irrational rantings of race hustlers like Rev. Wright? Mr. Obama unfortunately has assumed the role of racist enabler in order to guarantee he's down with the black community. It's a sad commentary on the myths that continue to cripple the African American communities and the "highly educated" brothers and sisters who have escaped but still buy into this mythology.

I'm sorry...
that you don't seem to be able to tell the difference.
Look, ...even if you think about it...you still don't see the difference???

Buchanan usually is too PC concerned to actually state uncomfortable facts, and again he straddles the "black on white" crime stats that 13% of the population forces on our society, but at least he mentions it.

The democrat party has been selling this concept for the 45 years that I have been politically aware.
Blacks, women, gays, union members, have been segregated out of the groups of voters and promised their "far share" of my lively hood in the form of my taxes redistributed to more worthy citizens. Now maybe, they have gone too far. Ironic isn't it...??

McCain's stock just went WAY UP.
Buchanan has it about right.

Obama's speech on race is scheduled later today.

I just don't see Obama's speech undoing the damage. The comments by Wright are out there. Not even the P.C. media can sugarcoat them.

I think Obama's bid for the presidency is over.

Just like Buchanan, I too thought again of the remarks by Michelle Obama, once the disclosures of Wright's hatred for the United States and the white race came to light.

"Jeremiah Wright makes Stokely Carmichael and Rap Brown sound like the Mills Brothers".

Had to chuckle at that.

So this probably means Hillary wins the Democratic nomination.

And the extreme anger by the black community over what they falsely perceive as just another "put-down" of a black brother, may well depress the voter turnout this November among that constituency.

Should help McCain.

The economy is McCain's Achilles Heel now.

Only an extremely severe recession, or outright depression, could derail McCain this fall.

Obama's association with Wright demonstrates such a severe lack of judgment as to make him unsuitable for president. That, along with Hillary's high negatives, should help McCain.

I would not go so far as to say this is the Hand of "Divine Providence" intervening here in our Beloved Republic. Ahem. Just kidding.

But the election is now McCain's to lose.

Iowa PatN
I'm going to defend the dead Jerry Falwell. He was explaining that Jews had rejected Jesus and that Jesus is the only way to God or Heaven. The first prayer God hears from any of us is the one asking Jesus to forgive our sins, so if a Jew is not a Messianic Jew (Christian now) he cannot pray to God and be heard. Where does that put him at death? You can figure it out. One day, though, the eyes of the Jews will be opened and they will realize Jesus is the Messiah they are waiting for and will accept Him and be welcomed into heaven. Simple as that.

As to Hagee, I honestly never heard of him until this year and still don't know much about him, but I can tell you there will be plenty of Catholics in heaven. And this is coming from a Baptist.

See Obama himself
telling us in 52 seconds how he will disarm America:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl32Y7wDVDs

For Jeanette
I know at least four Catholics who are in heaven now:
(1) Mother Teresa
(2) Joseph Bernadine
(3) St. Francis of Assisi (sp?)
(4) Father Arulraja (a Tamil Catholic priest who worked with Oriya tribals; murdered around the same time as Rev. Graham Staines and his sons, like the Staineses by Hindu fanatics)

Another who will also be there is Piyush "Bobby" Jindal (his story gives me hope--unfortunately however, not method--of witnessing gospel to ABCD's).

What all this means to me....
The Right Honorable Mr. Obama is entitles to his views. I think he will have a hard time selling america on the fact that he embraced this man for 20 years but never heard the poisonous words he spewed. Now when every american sees the calm face and even tones of Mr. Obama they will wonder what roils beneath the surface. I, for one, don't want a president who harbors a secret agenda....whether that agenda is racial payback or transforming our free market society into another failed socialist experiment. What is truly important is that this current controversy will keep the left at each others throats for the next several months and could destroy the Democratic party entirely.

Barack Obama
In his books, Barack Obama has told the story of the family into which he was born; about a father from Kenya whom he barely knew, who left when Barack was age 2, and about his white American mother from Kansas who along with his father was a college student at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. By age 6, young Barack was already living in Jakarta with his mother and his Indonesian step father before moving back to Hawaii at age 10, to be raised by his maternal grandparents when his mother and her second husband divorced. His "birthright," says Senator Obama, was that he was given love, a good education, and hope.
Over the years Barack Obama had bonding experiences with white and black relatives and with Asian family members amidst an understandable struggle to find his own identity. The opportunity that Hawaii offered him to experience a variety of cultures in a climate of mutual respect became an integral part of his world view and is the basis for the values that he holds most dear.
Barack's Mother was an agnostic or an atheist and he was raised in a non religious atmosphere by his mother and grandparents. Barack Obama has said that Pastor Wright "brought him to Jesus" and he was always very grateful to him for that. Wright also married Barack and Michelle. It’s not hard to understand how Barack Obama who grew up without a father may have overlooked some of Jeremiah Wright's short comings much like one does with the flaws of a member of one’s own family. But Barack Obama has repudiated Wright's comments and clearly loves America. Just read the last page of his book "The audacity of Hope" published in 2006. Remember, Barack Obama is the candidate for president, not Jeremiah Wright.

Maybe Mr Obama
is like many other Christian men, and sleeps during the sermon.

Jessie Junior

Jessie Jackson Jr. was on this station in Chicago this morning. The two goofs on this station didn't even question his argument for Obama. He basically said all black churches preach this stuff. Blacks are just blowing off steam from all the racist hatred they experience the other 6 days of the week. This is a good thing to have a debate on.
I gotta say this would be like trying to have a conversation with al-Qaida. I don't believe you can reason with crazy's.

I support McCain but,
Listening to the darkside MSNBC this
morning. I was shocked to hear them still demanding Hillary get out of the race. They are saying the numbers will never add up for her. MSNBC needs to stop lying for Obama.
Florida may give only Hillary 1/2 of their delegates that would be over 100 delegates. They may have a do over in Michigan. Blue collar working class state. Looks real good for Hillary. Hillary will win in a landslide in Pennsylvania. Then you've got Indiana and I don't know all the other states after that. But Hillary is positioned very good to win the nomination.
MSNBC needs to stop the lying for Obama.

Poor Malcolm 10
Chickens come home to roost. You know, the people who use that usually experience it first hand. Malcolm 10's chickens came home to roost in the form of Mr. elijah Muhammed.

If you want to understand the black radical goofiness, read jack Cashill's book Suckerpunched about Cassius Clay. How this guy became an American hero is a joke. He may have done some good things once his brains were totally scrambled but you will find no more of a racially divisive force in American history. Of course, White Libs loved him so the media gave him a pass, even though he called for the execution of interracial couples, impregnated and married a 17 year old when he was 31, and basically split black America with his attacks on Joe frazier.

No doubt Howard Cosell's man love of Ali gave him a pass when he called a black dude a monkey on Monday night football. If rush did that, the liberal masses with torches would have come to his estate. Ah well, what do you expect?

Gaydar
I have been gifted with gaydar.
One of the main difference of Obama's church and one of the few differences from Louis Farrakhan's church is they do not preach against gays. In fact they welcome them into the church.
Now take a good look at Obama's pastor.
He's definitely got the pinky action going. He's definitely a primper. Loves dancing and swaying on the pulpuit.
Loves wearing bright peacock colors.
Ok I'll say it the old man's gay. And don't give me that crap that he's married with children. This guys flaming.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

New Parody
Don't you think Obama knows? Based on Sweet Home Chicago. I invite you to visit my blog!

Never seen any worse bondage
In history of the world than what this man is a slave to.

So Wright told his congregation on Sept. 16, 2001.

His own hatred is a worse taskmaster than any plantation owner could display or use against him.
This is the sort of hate that causes warfare and murder, he preaches murder not salvation.

The saddest of it all is this man is called "christian".

Showing how the devil himself can speak and hold peoples attention who also must be a lover of murder themselves.

This man is the enemy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a satanic mole and a devils dick.

ex-Wyomingite
- "There are some that just can't get past McCain. I've such good news for you, though. The Constitution will survive a McCain presidency. If you'd like to see Constitutional shredding of the first order, go study the actions of Abraham Lincoln. For somewhat less egregious examples, have a look at Jefferson and the Louisana Purchase, Polk and the Mexican War, FDR and practically everything, Theodore Roosevelt and Panama, Grant and practically everything, Reagan and Nicaragua."

Thank you for posting REAL American history, not what we are taught in school. Most people would be shocked to discover the truth about Lincoln, Roosevelt, Wilson, the Civil War, the 14th Amendment, etc.

However, I do disagree with you on the precarious position of our beloved Constitution and United States. I feel that we are much closer to completely going off the deep end than we have ever been before. The federal gov't just keeps growing larger, with more programs and power... and less control being left in the hands of the lowly states.

I feel that one more big-government President (which McCain, thankfully, is not), coupled with a big-government legislature could topple the long-leaning tower of freedom.

Obama
The difference between McCain reaching out to the GOP's religious nutcases and Obama's is this. The fat boy from San Antonio (aka Hagee), Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, that nutcase up in Ohio who said things about Islam, etc--none of them are McCain's preacher, none married him and his wife or baptized his children nor did he attend Liberty Baptist or Cornerstone Church for 20 years--McCain rubbed elbows with Falwell and Hagee to court favor with the religious nuts out there--in other words to pander and is not this a job requirement of those seeking elective office--pandering?

Obama entered this church years before he was seeking office and can't be seen as simply pandering to the religious nutcases and black racists to gain office.

But tarring Obama with Wright won't work--those that are concerned won't vote for Obama anyway and those that will don't care what his insane pastor says. Attack Obama for what he says, not what Wright says. Attack Obama for his plans once president, not what Wright said about Hiroshima. Attacking Obama by pointing out Wright's insanity is a losing strategy.

why they linger in poverty
This is a perfect example of why other minorities hae flurished while blacks have stayed behind the curve. All this preaching about why they are a victim of the mean white man. Wright has poisoned the minds of thousands of Chicago blacks who believe the world is against them and they can't succeed, leading to a failure mentality. They have the highest rate of unwed mothers leading to unsupervised children and a lack of respect for educational opportunities. (Dont worry I'm going to the NBA)
The largest minority in the Ivy league are Asians, who have a high repect for both family and education.

Don't you think
the Democrat Party had some responsibility to examine Obama's political ideology?

rohi
Does this sound like anything you know? He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

It is one of the indictments against the Crown in the Declaration of Independence, sounds a good bit like the US today does it not?

Victim borrowing from victim
Hey, I thought Whitey invented AIDS to kill off the gays. I'd be pretty pissed if another minority was stealing one of my claims to victimhood. How do we define the upcoming war between a race and a sexual proclivity? Oh the humanity.

Read these books
Jmag:

Who Prospers?: How Cultural Values Shape Economic and Political Success By Lawrence Harrison (1993) and Culture Matters How Values Shape Human Progress by Lawrence E. Harrison and Samuel Huntington (2000). In the first work, he argues that culture matters as it relates to economic success--Asians from the Confucian culture sphere prosper due to strong family ties and belief in education. Wright and others will claim racism as the reason blacks fail, but look at immigrants from the West Indies and Africa, which Harrison points out do much better than native born American blacks and who also place a high value on education and we would assume would face the same "racist" environment as their native born peers.

Though maybe it is a result of post tramatic stress syndrome brought on by slavery---5 generations removed.

Right wing anti-American pastors
Frank Schaeffer, son of highly influential Religious Right figure Francis Schaeffer, writes (h/t FPL-Dan):

When Senator Obama's preacher thundered about racism and injustice Obama suffered smear-by-association. But when my late father -- Religious Right leader Francis Schaeffer -- denounced America and even called for the violent overthrow of the US government, he was invited to lunch with presidents Ford, Reagan and Bush, Sr.
He goes on to chronicle his father's long history of extreme "America-hating" statements, ones which never caused Republicans to repudiate him, and says: "Every Sunday thousands of right wing white preachers (following in my father's footsteps) rail against America's sins from tens of thousands of pulpits."

Yet Schaeffer, like hordes of similar, America-hating white Christian ministers, are celebrated as cherished figures among the very same right-wing faction feigning such outrage and offense over Wright's far more mild statements. White, right-wing Christian evangelical rage against America is understandable, respectable, and noble. Liberal black Christian anger towards America is scary, subversive, and despicable.

From today's Salon.com

McCain
Has McCain ever worked for anyone other than the Federal government?

What would make anyone think he was opposed to a bigger federal role in our lives? Because he said so?

I seem to remember similar rhetoric from one RR. What did we get?

PAT
In England, we having a saying,I think by Gladstone:"Never listen to the person on your shoulder, it is insanity".There is a rather large context, in which this quote fits.If your not "BRITISH",I'll understand.

Again for those who don't get it
Pandering to wackos is one thing..Francis Schaeffer was not the pastor of Ford, Reagan or Bush 41 now was he? Nor is Hagee McCain's.

But Obama is pandering to the nutcases that like Wright, but this is HIS pastor and has been for 20 years. That is a big difference, but again, attack Obama for who he is, what he says and what he plans to do, not because he likes to go to church headed by an insane person.

Wright preaches hate
And a complete ignorance of America.

Wright says:
"Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run. No black man will ever be considered for president ... and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body."
--------------

Racism did not start in America, it dates back in time long before there was an America.
And it exists cause of people like this man himself.

He errs/lies thinking slavery came after there was an America or a United States Government, and this ignorance is accepted by the dumbed down people among us.

Slavery was made possible by black Africans who sold their own race to white/brown men.
Bible calls menstealers.
A crime originating with Africans, not Americans.
Or
Arabs, Portuguese, Spaniards and British.
America did not even exist when this all began.

Slavery had become legal in the American British Colonies in 1705, not 1776 when America was born.

And America was born in the idea all men are created equal.
Which we strive for and this man is the enemy of himself.

It took a Civil War to end slavery, words would not do it.
It had become a way of life due to it made merchants rich.

Americans paid the price to end it by their blood.
Cost to the British who brought it into American British Colonies, was words.

Cost the Spaniards and the Portuguese nothing but words, the most productive of all slave traders.
More slaves had been taken to the Carribean Islands than came to the British Colonies of America.

This man Wright cares nothing about peace or truth, cause he is filled with hate and murder and preaches that.

Not letting go of the past but bringing it into today with lies is the cause of evil men like this man Wright.
A truly wicked individual
He is for evil and not good.
And Obama is just like him, but slick in the use of words is all to cover his own hatred for America.
This man will not be my President

Proud Liberal help me out
Proud Liberal, can you explain your moniker to me? I'm writing a book trying to understand how the liberal mind functions.

There was recently a psychiatrist that found Liberalism is a mental problem (see second story on Yeticon.com) and Savage clearly points out that liberalism is a mental disorder. His list of 18,987,087,870 examples is still a little short for other liberals to come to their senses. Still, people with schizophrenia or manic depression or bipolar disorder don't claim to be proud of their conditions. So, what makes a liberal proud?

This may sound condescending, and it should to a small degree, but it is also for informational purposes. A list of 5 things would be appreciated, 10 would be better. Any other liberals, or former liberals want to help out, please chime in. I hope to make you anonymously famous when the book becomes a best seller.

Great article Patrick...
it looks like we true American's had better "lock n' load" and get ready to defend ourselves!!!! Sadder yet is the following senario: Neither Hillary nor Hussein will have a lock on the nomination at the demoncratic convention and up steps Algore, with a frenzied bunch of conventioners shouting his name and it's bye-bye Hill and Huss and hello Algo (may God have Mercy on us all). :(

can we get barney too?
To the roman - I would love this scenario. I was hoping someone like barney frank would get into this too. Then we'd have all three victim classes - blacks/women/queens - vying for who's been most oppressed and Gore saying CO2 turns blacks white women into men and queens into straights and if we don't fix it in the next 8 years, we're doomed to a country of white males only. Yikes!!!!

Just the facts
1) On Sunday September 16, 2001 BO's Pastor Wright gives a "White America had it coming!!!" sermon about the terrorist attacks of 5 days before.

2) BO comes back to hear more.

3) He's been coming back for 6 1/2 years since then so it is fair to conclude that the Pastor's statements can't upset him THAT much.

4) January 15, 2006 - Wright says America is responsible for the AIDS epidemic.

5) bo STILL comes back to hear more.

6) bo is the favorite of Moveon.org the organization that called General David Petraeus a traitor in a newpaper ad 6 months ago.

Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts.

Pull this Clown off the state
refatsew whinnied:

"But Barack Obama has repudiated Wright's comments and clearly loves America. Just read the last page of his book "The audacity of Hope" published in 2006"

You drive-by Lib trolls are hilarious.

The only America Obambi loves is BLACK America. As others have pointed out, an autobiography is subjective...

FACTS please! If he loves the U.S. so much, how come it took until now to "convince" his wife to be proud of America? I guess he lacks diplomacy/persuasion skills, huh? Oops, aren't those Presidential skills?

For Akagi....
...who still doesn't get it.

You sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

Obambi should be disqualified on his basis of judgement alone, e.g., by the company he keeps. This is his pastor, his friend, and his MENTOR.

This is the BEST he can do for a MENTOR?

'nuff said. We don't need YoMama making any decisions for America.

To Jerabaub:
"The economy is McCain's Achilles Heel now.
Only an extremely severe recession, or outright depression, could derail McCain this fall."

Today's news highlighted the issues of most importance to voters. Number 1 was the economy. Number 2 was health care. McCain glibly announced he knows nothing of the economy, and he has never really even discussed health care in any depth whatsoever. Iraq and terrorism were numbers 3 and 5, respectively -- and we already know most Americans want us out of Iraq. So any idea where we're headed? Hint: It doesn't rhyme with McSpain.

One Problem in Pastor to the President
Dear Mr. Buchanan:

You let me down, quite much.

I have been a long time and faithful reader, supporter and ardent fan of you. I read every single article posted on the Internet written by you, appreciate and cheer them viscerally, and agree with you on almost every bit of idea.

But how could you write seemingly favorably and approvingly about MLK? Such of adulterer, wife-beater, communist sympathizer and shameless phony model he's being! To ingratiate and curry favor with the black community which you have so dauntlessly, honestly and rightfully remonstrated and still seems to be doing just exactly that in this very article? It's too hard to imagine that.

In one candid word, what a wrong-headed, mind-boggling and morale-dampening instance you've generated by citing MLK in a favorable light!

Perfect
Pat nailed it. Obama's speech was just that, a speech. Contrived to excuse his pastor for his hate of America and to excuse Obama for warming the pews in a church of hate for 20 years. The speech will be praised for its silkiness, for its delivery, but in the end condemned for its acceptance of what most white Americans loath about the reverse racism of some minorities. Obama has put himself in the position of siding with the likes of H. Rap Brown, Stokley Carmichael, and the 3 thugs that murdered the young women at Auburn University and the University of North Carolina. Hate mongers all. Obama is squarely on the wrong side; there are millions of wonderful Black people that love America, serve in the Armed Forces, and raise their children to pursue the American dream. Their hero is the Rev Martin Luther King Jr. while I fear Obama kneels at the altar of Malcolm X.

Right Nipponer
Allow me to respond on Mr. Buchanan's behalf. I can see his point of view, as well as yours. MLK had many failings as a human being. But as the icon of the Civil Rights movement, he represents a philosophy. I believe Mr. Buchanan means to point out that the philosophy he represents is one of peaceful, Christian harmony and charity. The Civil Rights Movement was not based on hate, violence, or Islam. It was not, as this new Afro-centric movement is, anti-American.

MLK promoted the axiom "Hate the sin, love the sinner." He could deplore racial inequities without condemning his fellow citizens. Lacking such a foundation, he would have realized no support from decent people, black or white.

The fear today is that there are few decent people in these so-called "churches", where the leaders spew a virulent hatred that threatens to infect the black community and divide them forever from any sense of brotherhood with the rest of mankind.

With respect to how Obama rose
to frontrunner status, it was an inside job. The church to which he belongs has been vocal and its beliefs well-known and knowable from the beginning. The MSM has served its function as prostitute to the power-mongers who have ordained that McCain will be king, if he doesn't have a stroke or mental meltdown first.

This is a first rate circus being provided in the tradition of the Ceasars. Anything to keep the masses distracted. There are Hillary and Obama bruised and bloodied from the fray, neither a fit opponent to the flawed, little traitor that "they" have chosen.

God is in his heaven, however, and you know what they say about mice and men. I predict that all their manipulating will be in vain, and this country will yet be restored.

Ron Paul 2008.

well said Laurie
Laurie your 1:31 post is very true IMO. To me, the civil rights movement died with King. Once it became radicalized by the Marxist types that's all she wrote. Jackson, Sharpie, Elijah mohammed, Malcom 10 (for awhile) Mohammed Ali (history had judged him way to kindly), Calypso Louie destroyed kings work and message. The Panthers and their ilk, along with a lot of radical 60's Jews (Fay Stender, weathermen - I know, not all were Jewish but many were). David Horowitz details all this stuff in Destructive generation. The effects are still felt today and will likely for our life times. The 60's unfortunately are alive and well. Now I know why the South park kids were so afraid of the hippies.

Sept 16, 2001
On the Sunday following 9/11, millions of Americans flocked to their churches in an effort to make sense of that atrocity. People who rarely or never went to church went that particular day, and I am certain that the sermon is etched in their memories forever.

Obama expects us to believe that he has no idea what his pastor said that day of all days. More striking, this pastor used the sermon as an excuse to attack America say the chickens had come home to roost. And Obama heard nothing of this? He wasn't curious about how his spiritual advisor saw the defining event of our time?

He had to know about his pastor's anti-American views.

Schaeffer
Can anyone give me the quote where Francis Schaeffer calls for the overthrow of the US Government?

And I don't want his son's version of events, I want to know where and when Schaeffer publicly called for the overthrow of the US Government. I have never come across anything of the sort in his writings, but maybe I missed something.

He's not being truthful
There's no way Obama could hang around that church so long and not realize the pastor is the worst kind of racist. Obama should bow out now. He's not even fit for the Senate.

So now the Demos are stuck with screaming momma Hillary. She even outdoes Howard Dean in his finest moment.

To use a southern expression, J. Wright has pissed in the grits.

Angry White Men
RUSH, BECK, MEDVED, HANNITY....
The new race hustlers have shown their true colors. The talking points that they stood by for so long are now coming back in spades to haunt them. They have beat to death J.Wrights comments and blasted Obama in an attempt to paint him as an angry black man. The truth in the matter is the they have given us a glimpse of the angry white man who is reacting to the winds of change. Its sad to watch them waste so much time and energy on what someone had said about things that had directly had nothing to do with Obama. I digress, the real issue isn't J Wright, Rush, Beck, Medved, Hannity, Sharpton, Jackson, or Obama. It the "fray"! What is the fray? Melanin, color, or race. Obama has attempted to stay above the fray but the possiblilty of a unifier would hamper or destroy any progress made by white race hustlers such as the clan mentioned above. They have just as much to loose as Sharpton and Jackson. There viewers drink the same Kool-aid as they do- i should no i am unfortunately one of them. But after the last week of bombastic comments from them and wright I have found myself wondering. What if we put all of these instigators on a ship and launch them to Neverland where they can live out there race baited fantasies all day long. We don't need more Demagogues, Hustlers, or Preachers. We need a thinking populace whose willing to acknowledge the sins of the father and stop pimping out others (Listeners, Families, or Viewers) in attempt to satisfy your own self serving agenda. Just like a slave master!

I don't get it
Wits, i have no idea what in the heck you just said, but did you say spades? Shame on you!

I am NOT a liberal,but I can give five reasons how they think.1.Icare 2.I want. 3.I wish. 4.I feel.5.I'm Always Right.

hard to argue
Yo jax, you know all of the first 4 wold be OK, but when you throw number 5 in the mix that's where things get dangerous.....very dangerous.

Obama on Imus
"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude." - Barack Obama on the Imus scandal

Wits07
Well, that was a whole lot of nothing. Sober up and try again.

once again, respect and decency returns
to the political office which represents these United States of my America!

I have not felt this proud of my country in a very long time.

Thank You! Dear God!

Can't work -
People are going to vote for Obama, not his pastor. Most of these preachers, white and black, who have notoriety, get caught saying bizarre or offensive things. Conservative outrage over this won't carry water long. National Review Online today had a whole team of its writers commenting about this. But if denouncing Obama or Clinton is all they can do, rather than promote McCain, failure is inevitable. Obama will be bad as president, but I can't help believing McCain or Clinton will be worse. And I can't name their pastors.

hypocrisy
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright surely had Malcolm's words in mind when, the Sunday after the 9-11 massacre of 3,000 Americans, he declared this, too, was a case of "America's chickens ... coming home to roost." "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

Okay, now all you Christian sheeple explain to me how this is different than your beloved bigot Farwell blaming 911 on feminists, homosexuals and pagans.

I can give five reasons how conservatives think:

1.I don't care about anyone but me.

2.I want money. Lots of money. Now!

3.I judge others. A lot!

4.I don't think. Instead, I parrot lines from Fox News pundits.

5.I'm Always Right.

Christian ministers
were given the directive from Jesus to "preach the gospel to every creature" - nothing more. The Rev. Wright is nothing but a rabble-rouser, as are so many others.
