Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

I've been giving Rev. Jesse Jackson's crude comments about wanting to rip Sen. Barack Obama's private parts off because he's been "talking down to black people" a lot of thought.

It's not that I enjoy paying much attention to Mr. Hymietown. I'd much rather revel in the reality that he's truly yesterday's news, a product of a bygone era of race-baiting, muckraking idiocy.

And while that's probably true, his comments in a Fox News Channel studio the other day catapulted him back into the media spotlight, one of his favorite places in the world. Jesse Jackson is a master of the old expression that it doesn't matter what someone says about you as long as they spell your name right.

By now, you've probably seen the video or heard the audio that features Jackson, in a creepy whisper, say to the man sitting next to him that he wants to turn Obama into a eunuch. He did so while sitting in a TV studio with an earpiece in his ear, a microphone clamped to his body, bright lights shining on him, and a camera staring into his face.

I smell a rat.

A media huckster like Jesse Jackson (it's hard to call the man "reverend" considering what he'd like to do to another man with a pair of garden shears) knows every one of the ins and outs of making a TV appearance. As a Fox News Channel contributor, I've learned most of the tips over the years: look into the camera like it's a good friend; pull your suit jacket down and sit on it so it doesn't bunch up; and most importantly: never, EVER say anything while sitting in that studio that you wouldn't want someone else to hear.

It doesn't matter if one is live on-air or sitting through a commercial break. There aren't any on or off switches on a lapel pin microphone; it is always "hot."

Jesse Jackson has done enough TV appearances to know this simple but important rule.

In fact, one standard form of communication when someone is doing a TV appearance like the one Jackson was doing Sunday morning on "Fox & Friends" is to chat with the producer who is sitting at his or her desk in the master control room in New York. That producer is constantly talking into your earpiece during the breaks, telling you what's coming up, who the anchor is, etc.

Do you really think Jesse Jackson doesn't know all of this? Believe me, he's had those kinds of conversations for many years.

So then we're left with a solitary, logical question: why would he purposely do such a thing?

The answer is painfully obvious. It helps Barack Obama.

Ever since this story first hit the news, pundits have been lining up to announce that this "gaffe" has helped Sen. Obama in a big way. According to Bloomberg.com, a professor at George Mason University, Mark Rozell, said that the Jackson comments help Obama by emphasizing his call for personal responsibility. Another professor, Steffen Schmidt of Iowa State University, said, "This helps Obama make the case that he's not a 'black' leader but just a Democratic candidate for president." And yet another college type, one Professor David Schultz of Hamline University in St. Paul, was quoted in the Bloomberg piece as saying, "Obama should give Jackson...an award for helping his campaign with white voters."

Is it possible that Jesse Jackson is such a media tramp that he'd actually fabricate a situation like this?

You'd better believe he is.

He may not like the fact that Obama has clearly distanced himself from the race-mongering "reverend." But I can promise you that Jesse Jackson isn't going to campaign on behalf of John McCain any time soon. As a self-described, self-proclaimed voice of black Americans, Jackson surely wants Obama to win. So this could have been a devious effort to get middle-of-the-roaders that he knows don't like him to feel better about voting for Obama in November.

For a man who admitted to spitting in white people's food when he was a young man in Greenville, South Carolina, I wouldn't put anything past him.

The final proof that I may be right came when Jackson's own son, Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., did some verbal castrating of his own. "I'm deeply outraged and disappointed in Rev. Jackson's reckless statements about Sen. Barack Obama," he said. "Rev. Jackson?" You mean dear old Dad? Do you think Jesse Jackson, Jr. would be a U.S. congressman were it not for his father?

I can't find a single instance where Jesse, Jr. ever ripped his father to shreds this way. Not one. Move over, Hillary. I think we've got a vast left-wing conspiracy going on here.

People who are desperate for Barack Obama to win the presidency are capable of practically anything. When I talk with callers to my radio show who are Obama supporters, there is a fervor and robot-like support that is chilling. They don't seem to care what Obama says, what he stands for (or doesn't stand for), or even that he can't seem to latch onto a consistent position on just about everything.

They just want him to win.

They need him to win.

And I'll bet the farm that if Jesse Jackson can score some votes for Obama by making a complete jackass out of himself on national TV, well, that's a small price to pay for a President Barack Obama.

Reminds me of Tip O'Neil's
offer to help a senator friend from another state get re-elected. O'Neil(memory) said he would go to his friend's state and stump for him. He said he would either praise his friend, or attack him, whichever would help the most. Slick Willy's put down of Sister Souljah had the same effect of reassuring potential supporters who were put off by his enthusiastic support by prominent black leaders.

SOUNDS VERY PLAUSIBLE
I've mentioned in a couple of other columns over the past few days that the good reverand won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
Mr. Gallagher your observation has a ring of truth to it. I can see Jackson taking a hit like this for Obama. After all, he has the insurance policy of the color of his skin to rectify any gaffe that comes out of his mouth.
I'll go further: if anyone thinks that Obama is a uniter, you can bet the farm that Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Quannel X and every other loudmouth from the race baiting rookery will be given a national spotlight to list their grievances in front of the American people in Obama's 'honest discussion about race' in this country.
We've already seen his 'touchstone speech' hailed by the LLLWM as on the level with the 'I Have a Dream' speech. You know the one. The one where he threw dear ol' Granma under the bus.
You think this guy will unite the nation?
Sure. And I've got a bridge I want to sell you in Brooklyn.

Mike, I could not agree more
Political theater designed to show obama as the nice guy, the un-threatening black guy, the one who you want to be friends with, a man like Cosby, a real middle of the road guy and not the marxist we know him to be.

We all know the blacks look to him to be the guy who bitchslaps whitey thanks to his association with wright and that crowd, so now he has to assuage those fears with the middle.

Clinton had his sister souljah moment and it worked, this is the same type of thing and it needs to exposed for the hypocrisy that it is.

my 2 cents
anyone who believes that jj didn't know EXACTLY what he was doing is beyond naive

will this silly little (manufactured) tiff help bo? That depends on how gullible - as in stupid - voters are and THAT is a scary thought

remember "The West Wing" when President Bartlet said "a .22 caliber mind in a .357 caliber world" referring to his (Republican) opponent in the upcoming election, all the while (supposedly) believing that the mic was off?

All right that's silly

sorry

Gift.
JJ's words were a great gift to President-elect Obama.

It will the wind out of a lot sails (you know, those sails made out of white sheets).

2 more cents
With a legitimate black candidate for president for the first time it strikes me that this current foolishness about race on which every pundit of every color and persuasion feels compelled to comment (i.e. favor us unwashed masses with his/her wisdom) is unavoidable, inevitable, etc.

Hopefully we can get through this and put it behind us and with a little bit of luck we can also retire that old favorite "white liberal guilt" at the same time.

No I do NOT consider jesse jackson or al sharpton legitimate candidates

Was Jesse on the grassy knoll too?
Gallagher and all previous commenters. I think you've been popping the paranoia pills. Now,believe me, I don't put anything past the lib politicos, just like they don't put anything past Rove et alia. I just think the 'intentional' theory is too cute by half. Its like trying to read a meaning into Dan Rather's "Kenneth, what is the frequency" phrase: sometimes we all say incredibly stupid and inopportune things, we blurt out what we are thinking, the internal governor on our tongues temporarily fails.

My theory: Jesse had a few pops either in the Green Room or just prior. Did you see the horrified look on the guy (forget his name)interviewing JJ? Looked as if Jesse might have just passed wind.

Race--the Hot Potato
It will be a better country, and a better world, when it's possible to criticize any black without being accused of racism. O'Reilly always uses black spokesmen or women when criticism of Obama is involved, and even Rush uses a black employee to criticize Obama even though I recognize it's part of his satire of the whole race business. Even if Jackson deliberately used this ploy to help Obama he also damaged his own reputation in the process. Excuse me, I forgot: that reputation has been in the gutter for many years now.

Race Card
Somebody had to play it. Why not Jesse?

I watched the episode on TV and found it so contrived it was laughable. Too bad Fox news would not fall into the trap and play the entire clip, which I am sure would have outraged many moderate Americans and really helped Barack push his "centrist" propaganda campaign.

I will not vote for Barack for two reasons:

1. He is a left-wing dingbat
2. He is not even as "slick" as Billy was at the art of manipulation--it's just too easy to see through the smoking mirrors. The only reason that he gets away with all of the BS he spews is that the media lets him.

Message to Obama campaign: if you are going to lie and cheat, at least do a good job of it. You insult my intelligence.

Seawolf
Good morning. And Bwahahahaha. Beat you to Sister Souljah by 10 minutes. Great minds, similar channels, right? :-D

Uncle Max
Mental states like racism, Black Lib Theology, and dislike of garter snakes are not based on logic. Therefore facts have little effect. You can not convince someone to like garter snakes by proving they are harmless, beneficial, fascinating little creatures. Even if Obama gets elected and is a popular successful president, BLT churches will be full of shouting enthusiasts for the foreseeable future. A good black president would certainly be a step in the right direction. I doubt Obama will be the one.

King Liberal
Your enthusiastic uncritical support of Obama puzzles me. I have no idea what he is going to do. In the early days of his candidacy i favored him as an unknown preferable to McCain. As details of his history and associates became known, along with his anti-white gaffes, he lost me. But considering his recent reversals of the positions that won him the candidacy, how can you be so sure he will be a winner if elected?

@Alligator mouth...parakeet @ss...
Jackson is a typical old school black race hustler...need we say more?

Pistol, King L
doesn't care about any of that stuff. Like so many on the left this election has nothing to do with the country. WE GONNA WIN, WE GONNA WIN!! That's it. Kinda sad, huh?

staged
I agree with Mike ... my first thought when I heard was that the comment was completely staged.

Mike
You are definitely smarter than the average bear.

No, Mike
I have no doubt that his remark was sincere. It was also probably inadvertent. For one thing, if purposeful he would have left the "nuts" part out. It would have been more articulate.
You're correct that it helps Obama. For one thing it makes him (falsely) look like he's some individual responsibility guy.

Why your argument is flawed: Rev Jackson is not and never has been someone who would "take one for the team".
Mr. Obama definitely needs someone to keep injecting race, as he's had to do that all by himself for awhile. But Jackson is no self sacrificer.
He's angry. He meant it. It slipped out. It happens all the time, in spite of your vast experience in television studios, you're wrong.

Pistol
You make an excellent point when you ask Obama supporters how they know what he will really do.

They don't.

I've noticed that they wax euphoric, and outline a host of things he'll do, but they are mostly voicing their own fantasies.
Part of the cleverness of his campaign is that it encourages that.

CON - smells like the staged Rev. Wright
My daughter who has worked on campaigns - emailed me immediately and said: That is a Chicago politics staged CON game to get Obama white votes.

One clue is how chummy Jackson is socially with the Obamas - Michelle grew up playing at Jackson's home.

OMG - the Obama campaign/Axelrod will do anything to deceive the American voters.

I am ashamed of Fox - they were used big time. And, never smelled a rat.

Thank you, Mike!
There is no doubt in my mind this was staged. Couple everything you mention with the fact that Obama forgave him WAY too quickly, and it smells like a whole sewer full of rats. Do you really think Obama would have been so quick to forgive of anyone on the other side of the aisle? Sure, he would evenetually have said the words "I forgive you," though he would have found the most condescending manner in which to do so. But before that he would have milked the story for all the political juice it was worth. The only thing new about this kind of politician is the extent of his audacity in consistently insulting the intelligence of the American people. Given that insulting the intelligence of the American people has been a mainstay of liberal politics since time immemorial, that sentence should speak volumes.

Pistol and Chopper John
King Lib likes Obama because Obama gives him that feely-good, hopeful feeling. It's what the libs do; they vote based on emotion, not the issues.

Anyway, what other reason is there for someone to vote for Obama? I can't think of any.

No, It Can't Be. It's not possible!
that a politician would try to manipulate public opinion. How dare he!

After he is elected, Obama will probably fly a fighter jet into Kennedy and shake hands with Jackson in front of a big sign that says "mission accomplished."

Gerald
What is this trash about insulting the intelligence of American voters? It is obviously impossible.

Obama is a liar, fraud, and betrayer
He dumps anything or anyone is his way. Friends for 30 years? Gone. Church of 20 years? Gone.
Leftist krap? Now substituted by *tested* center blather.

No one can tell me he/she knows a thing about the person they want to invest with the greatest power any single person in the entire history of the world can acquire.

I wouldn't vote for him for dog catcher if you paid me a million tax free. I'd figure he's be gassing animals on one side of the stage, as he proclaimed non-euthanasia policies on the other.

Like Kerry, who voted for the war before he voted against it, Obamanation just voted for the FISA bill he had consistently voted against (and for the amendments to cripple it). He's not a flip-flopper, he's just a liar.

Race card tag team
What's ironic though is that some folks - as Barack likes to call the gun-toting Bible clutchers - will now vote for Obama because in their twisted world Jesse's attack on Barack somehow means that Barack is different than Jesse - maybe even the post-racial guy he pretends to be.

They have already forgotten that just a couple of weeks ago Barack played the race card on Republicans and anyone who would dare criticize him when he said, “They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

B. Hussein Obama knows the race card and he can play it as well as Jesse Jackson - the maestro of race baiting - ever has!

GALLAGHER

I think you are spot on!

GALLAGHER
Knowing the machinations of Jesse in the Peoples
Republic of Illinois, I posted pretty much the same conclusions on Reagan's column before reading this one.

yep a left wing conspiracy

on one hand i have heard over and over even on this thread that obama is stupid and naiive,

but today he is so clever that he used fox news to garner white votes.

if that is true, he is the most brilliant politician in history and needs to be elected immediately.

On the other hand
Wow, this yahoo makes an interesting point, for a change. I am cynical enough to think it just might have been a deliberate plant. Then again it could be a situation of JJ having a brain freeze and truly forgetting where he was. Anybody here ever leave a bathroom and forget to zip your fly?

a vote for Obama...
is now a vote for Jesse....you know he will take credit-did you hear his "apology"-

After Barack was forced to sit at the foot of Lord Bubba, what shakedown will Jesse have under his sleeve????

I don't think Jackson had
helping Oblahma in mind. He was just being himself, but soon caught on to the fact that the media (even the LSM who fawned over him TWO DECADES AGO) consider him as waaaaaaaaay past expiry (the apology was due to this latter).

christian lib
again the delusional comes forward to provide his usual lip service for b hussein.

Obviously those who see b hussein as your new messiah sent to save us from ourselves will never open your eyes to the fact he is just a total reincarnation of the slickster from arkansas.

In b hussein we have the same type of clinton politician that morphs into what ever his audience needs to see and hear. B hussein is driven by his ambition to assume power and nothing else.

The left will never understand they are mearly stooges to advance another status quo politician who has already pledged his loyalty to all the usual special interest groups the dims cater to.

B hussein only understand that no matter what the problem he will find another govt solution for. But with no history of any govt program that was so successful it closed shop, the left still believes the govt is a cureall for everything they have enabled to make worse.

But christianlib, ex religious lib remains blind to the reality of who b hussein is but will still line up and give him his vote and then happily stand by and smile with glee with b hussein reaches into his pocket to take more of his income to reward the lay abouts the dims reward while continuing to punish the producers.

B hussein is only another snakeoil salesman and christianlib and his fellows are lapping up the nonsense that b hussein is peddling.

But nothing matters to christian lib. He will blindly follow his new messiah all the while denying he is nothing more than a sheep on his way to b hussein's slaughterhouse

bart
you might want to adress the point of the article before attacking me.

do you believe that jackson made those statements on purpose to help obama?

second, i have said repeatedly over the past 6 months that it doesn't matter to me who wins, mccain or obama.

they are both socially liberal and support most of my positions.

in fact my preference is to have split government, i am wary when one party has the congress and presidency.

so before you start telling me what i think please read my posts.

but you seem to be so blindly partisan that rather than deal with my posts objectively you simply stereotype me.

that is so intellectually dishonest.

christianlib
you stereotype yourself by continuing to post the old liberal mantra and your blind obedience to the left.

Of course jackson was well aware of where he was and what he was doing. This race hustler has manipulated the press for decades and knows his way around the media better than those paid to put out the news.

The longer the campaign goes on the more b hussein will morph into something where he will state he believes in everything but stands for nothing.

bart
lets see

i am pro-life (is that the liberal mantra)
i am for drilling (is that the liberal mantra)
i am for charter schools (is that the liberal mantra)

now more importantly just what is "the liberal mantra"

there are 50 million liberals in this country from union members, to blue collar workers, to classical liberals.

do you think they all think and act alike?

that would be a pretty simplistic and illogical position to take.

but then you seem to be emotion based in your philosophy rather than logic and fact based.

Pistol
Touche, my friend. Touche.

King Lib, how pathetic that
you are back to comparing Obama and Rev Wright to McCain and Rev. Hagee...please show facts and proof that McCain sat in Hagee's church (Cornerstone Church in San Antonio) for 20 years. Please show proof that McCain donated money in the form of tithes to Cornerstone Church. Please show proof that Rev. Hagee baptized McCain's children or married he and Cindy. If you can't show proof, you are just a lot of hot air. The Rev. Wright issue is not dead...Jesse Jackson's lame attempt to deflect criticism related to Wright is transparent and you, KL, are a fool if you think your trolling in Townhall is changing anyone's opinion of your weak candidate.

King Liberal
I asked why you are so certain of what Obama will do. Instead you shift to where am i and why? I am no fan of McCain and have no plans to vote for him, any talk of him and his policy is merely red herring. Obama seems to be in a profoundly fluid situation. His previouos record of being the most liberal senator is consistent with his narrow Illinois constituency. He may revert to this philosophy. On the other hand, he is seeking to win the aproval of a national constituency which is not based in South Chicago. Will he now support limited abortion, staying in Iraq until advised by local military commad it is time to leave, the 2nd amendment? If he stays with his ultra lib policies, will they backfire, threaten a second term and move him to the right? You criticize my knowlege of his past. This has nothing to do with what Obama is going to do if he gets to the WH. Time will tell. History indicates your confidence in your ability to predict the future is misplaced.

Obama The 'Magic Negro'
From the LA Times in March of '07.

"He's there to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest."

Here's the rest of it...
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-ehrenstein19mar19 ,0,5335087.story

Ferraro was absolutely right, by the way. She voiced exactly what Hillary's campaign and her supporters knew but tried not to say.

Jackson knows it too and was playing his part as advocate of the "dangerous, highly sexualized black man" in the game of turning Obama into a "Magic Negro".

king moron
how many days must you return for your daily beating and to continue posting you usual brand of stupidity.

You remain just another of the die hard obama morons who will never take a good look to see he stands for nothing but promoting himself and his hateful as their way to punish america for the hatred they learned worshipping at the feet of all the leftists they sought out to be their mentors.

Wright, farrakhan, tillman, fleger as well as the rantings of alinsky make him closer to be a commie than anyone who will stand up for america.

But in king moron we see another angry black who thinks that his dream of socialism is coming where he can continue to reside on the handouts he already receives from being the typical dim whosae vote is always for sale for his continued residence on the entitlment gravy train.

robin
lets assume for the moment that trinity church is everything you think it is.

then you assume obama must be racist.

using your logic, orrin hatch, harry ried and mitt romney must be racist also.

the mormon church had institutionalized racism until 1978 and the church doctrine was that blacks were an inferior race and any mormon who married a black should be killed.

now hatch, reid and romney all attended this church for decades BEFORE church changed its racist policies.

so just like obama they did not leave a church that was racist and were taught (as children and young adults) by church orthodoxy that blacks were inferior.

now i do not believe that hatch, reid or romney is racist although they attended a racist church.

i believe the same about obama.

christianlib
Please elaborate on how the LDS church is racist. If you're referring to the priesthood issue, I can understand that. But be advised, Joseph Smith was against slavery. How many members of other Christian churches had slaves. I'm not aware of any LDS who owned slaves. We are taught to serve each other and treat each other as children of God. Now, not one person on this earth today is perfect, but we are trying.

This is a perfect example of how J. Jackson made a great living off of the race issue. He doesn't want the "victim" and race issue to go away since it provides him with fame and fortune and all the celebrity it comes with.

ChristianLib
Assuming what you say about LDS is true, which I do not concede, by the way, then one must look at the individual histories of Hatch, Reid and Romney. I have lifelong friends who are Mormons and they have never practiced racism and, in fact, one of my white friends is married to a black man and they are both Mormons. At any rate, in discussing Obama's relationship with Trinity, which is the subject, I do not believe he could listen to the rantings of the hateful Rev Wright for 20 years without having some agreement. If he didn't agree with the Rev Wright but agreed with the statement of faith of Trinity, then one would need to look at that, which I did. I also reviewed the tenets of Black Liberation Theology and found that Trinity's statement of faith as listed on their web site coincides with James Cone's outline. Therefore, if Obama disagreed with Rev Wright, he would have disagreed with the statement of faith of the church and any reasonable person would not stay in a church whose very statement of faith contradicted his own beliefs. He is not going to get a pass on this, King Lib. This will come back in the fall. By the way, this isn't whining...this is debating. Nice name calling when you have no real response.

White Lib Fantasyland
"Like a comic-book superhero, Obama is there to help, out of the sheer goodness of a heart we need not know or understand. For as with all Magic Negroes, the less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes. If he were real, white America couldn't project all its fantasies of curative black benevolence on him."

christianlib and King Lib
christianlib.

Point of order. Don't assume all union people are liberal voters. You're making a serious stereotype. Think "Bradley Effect." The union goombah's might tell you that it's true, but it isn't.

obtw. I think Christian and liberal (as defined in the dictionary) are an oxymoron.

King Lib:

Please learn to spell! Also, ad-hominem personal attacks speak volumes about the person speaking.

King Liberal
First, let's see if i can write something with fewer mistakes. I promise to edit this before, not after i submit.
Please leave McCain out of this. He has nothing to do with what Obama will do if elected.
You mention giving Obama some wiggle room. This is my point, Sir. How far will he wiggle? How far is ok with you? Historically, candidates from both left and right try to capture the middle, as you note. However, the woods are full of elected people who said one thing and do another. Both Bushes did this and it cost them dearly with conservatives who do not put much stock in identity politics. I can forgive McCain for being a "moderate" in many areas, but i will not vote for the author of McCain/Feingold or for any politician that supports cheap amnesty for illegal immigrants. Obama has said both that he will unilaterally and quickly get our troops out of Iraq, and that he will follow the advice of field commanders. Which will he do, or don't you care? Does his record tell you what he will do? Not to put too fine a point on it, but i don't know know. After watching racists like LBJ, George Wallace, and Robt Byrd switch "principles" as prescribed by abetting their careers. and "conservatives" who then voted for record pork and earmark bills, i remain suspicious of moving lips on our politicians.

Poor Jesse...
...duped once again into speaking what he really feels.

Is Fox News Racist?

HP-”Not only are they smearing Michelle Obama with racist stereotypes, but then they offer a feeble apology that they believe gives them the right to slander her again,” the group says in a press release. “FOX’s long history of racism is nothing new, but it has been particularly egregious when it comes to their coverage of the Obamas. Racism and fearmongering have no place in our country or its politics, despite what FOX would have you believe.”

Trinity Church
"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

"Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System."

Fox News Racist?
Nothing on that video clip indicated "racism" on the part of Fox News. Funny thing is that most of the sound bites and images were seen on the alpha networks as well. The "lynchmob" mentality isn't coming from Republicans or from Fox, but from the transparent campaign to turn the Obamas into sympathetic figures so that guilt-ridden white liberals will swoon at their feet.

Democrats have a long History of Racism
Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Franklin Roosevelt, the long time hero and standard bearer of the Democrat Party, headed up and implemented one of the most horrible racist policies of the 20th Century – the Japanese Internment Camps during World War II.

Hugo Black: A former Democrat Senator from Alabama and liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice appointed by FDR, Hugo Black had a lengthy history of hate group activism. Black was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's and gained his legal fame defending Klansmen under prosecution for racial murders.

Senator Robert Byrd, D-WV: Throughout the 1960's, Byrd was was one of the staunchest opponents to civil rights in the U.S. Senate. Byrd’s racist history drew attention recently when he went on national television and repeatedly used the n-word, one of the most vicious racial slurs in existence, in an appearance on national television. Byrd uttered the slur on Fox News Sunday with Tony Snow on March 5, 2001.

Senator Ernest Hollings, D-SC: Hollings is liberal Democrat Senator from South Carolina who is also notorious for his use of racial slurs. He rose out of the Democrat Party's segregationist wing in the 1960's as governor of South Carolina. While in office as governor, Hollings personally led the opposition to lunch counter integration in his state.

Liberal Racism
Jesse Jackson: Jackson was the featured prime time speaker at the 2000 Democrat Convention. Jackson has a history of using anti-Semitic slurs and derogatorily calling New York City “Hymietown.” Jackson, a prominent self proclaimed "civil rights leader," is himself guilty of the same bigotry he dishonestly purports to oppose.

Dan Rather: stated on the air, refering to CBS, that "they got the Buckwheats" and made him cover the Condit scandal. The term "Buckwheat" is considered an offensive racial stereotype that stems from an easily frightened black character named "Buckwheat" on the Little Rascals comedies.

Andrew Cuomo: Cuomo, Bill Clinton's former Housing Secretary and a prominent Democrat political player in New York, was tape recorded using racially inflamatory rhetoric to build opposition to a potential Democrat primary opponent while speaking to a Democrat group. Cuomo stated that voting for his rival for the New York Democrat gubernatorial nomination Carl McCall, who is black, would create a "racial contract" between Black and Hispanic Democrats "and that can't happen."

Billy McKinney: Former Democrat State Representative Billy McKinney of Georgia, who is also the father of former Democrat congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of the same state. During his daughter's failed 2002 reelection bid, McKinney appeared on television where he blamed his daughter's difficulties on a Jewish conspiracy. McKinney unleashed a string of anti-semitic sentiments, stating "This is all about the Jews" and spelling out "J-E-W-S." McKinney lost his own seat in a runoff a few weeks later.

DNC Hosted Klan Meeting
The Democrat Party and the Ku Klux Klan: Aside from the multiple Klan members who have served in elected capacity within the high ranks of the Democrat Party, the political party itself has a lengthy but often overlooked history of involvement with the Ku Klux Klan.

Though it has been all but forgotten by the media, the Democrat National Convention of 1924 was host to one of the largest Klan gatherings in American history.

More of a mini-series
I think J.Jackson's remark and Obama's reaction was very much planned ahead and staged. I also believe the whole Rev. Wright thing was the first part of their "mini-series". I am adding a previous post of mine.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008
Reverand Jeremiah Wright, long time friend and mentor of Sen. Barack Hussein Obama.

Barack Obama denies previous knowledge of his pastor/mentor/friends radical and racist remarks/beliefs and, until recently, Sen. Obama remained committed to their relationship. Only after the, what I believe to be, poorly produced mini-series of late April and early May did the Senator feel his pastor had gone overboard. I find it very difficult to believe a person (and spouse) could sit in 20 years of church services and not know what the pastor was all about. Not to mention the 20 years of close friendship and mentoring from said pastor.
Due to a geographical move I have been in attendance at my current church for only 4 years. During this time our original pastor left and a new one took over along with, in most part, a new staff. There has never been any question about what any of them stand for nor what their political views or commitment to this country are.
I believe both Rev. Wrights speeches and the overboard rants and gyrations at the NAACP convention and the National Press Club in Washington and then Senator Obamas empahtic denial of the good Rev. was all staged! A very poorly produced mini-series to give some credibility back to the Obamas. I know there will be people who disagree, maybe think I’m nuts, but there have been people who have done a lot more to gain a lot less then the U.S.Presidential nomination. And what real friend would not do whatever necessary to help his friend (gain the White House)!

After all is said and done, the elections are over, we will know.

article from Human Events.com

Obama is claiming on his campaign website that he possesses "values straight from the Kansas heartland."

And the Obama campaign recently announced their "Joshua Project" which, according to the Obama campaign, is the "campaign's outreach to young people of faith. There's unprecedented energy and excitement for Obama among young evangelicals and Catholics. The Joshua Generation project will tap into that excitement and provide young people of faith opportunities to stand up for their values and move the campaign forward."

(Myself) originally being from Nebr., I know that Obama DOES NOT posess values from any part of the Bible Belt.

Considering his purpose for The Joshua Generation project, how it is stated above, would this not be a violation of separation of church and state?

Something's missing...
The part of the Jackson quote that everyone's missing is the "talking down to black people."

Snobama doesn't talk down just to black people, he talks down to everybody!

2 questions
1) Is there anyone who believes that jj didn't know the mic was hot when he made the remark?

2) Is there anyone who believes bo when he claims that he didn't know about wright's post 9/11 sermon even though he wasn't there?

which leads to the 3rd question

are there enough people out there who are dumb enough to fall for bo's routine?

Lawdy Lawdy I sure hopes not!

Obama's new ad
The script:

MAN: Oh man — he's starting already ...

WOMAN: What now, honey?

MAN: John McCain. He's got new ads attacking Barack Obama on taxes.

WOMAN: Well, that's not new. Bush, McCain, Karl Rove — that's how those guys work.

MAN: Oh yeah, but this is shameful. He's just makin' stuff up.

WOMAN: Yeah?

MAN: But get this. Independent sources are putting McCain in his place. I went to FactCheck.org. They said, quote, "It's not true."

WOMAN: Huh.

MAN: And look what Time says. Quote, "It makes sense that McCain is returning to the old playbook. But that doesn't mean he can just make up his own facts." End Quote.

WOMAN: Yowza! So what's the truth?

MAN: Obama's plan cuts taxes on the middle class — and won't raise taxes on anybody making less than two hundred fifty thousand a year. But McCain wants billions in new corporate tax breaks ... and no way to pay for it.

WOMAN: Hmm. Sounds like George Bush all over again.

MAN: Guess that's why they say: John McCain — McSame as Bush!

WOMAN: Uh-huh.

Voiceover: On taxes, get the facts. Visit BarackObama.com.

Obama: I'm Barack Obama, candidate for president, and I approve this message.

Hooray, now the rappers and hood.
What could be better than the filth talking rapper coming out for Brother O and bringing De Hood into play. Now we are in the real world talking trash. With such mental giants supporting Brother O, McCain does not need to spend any more money.

Don Jones

Mikes
point makes sense to me. Wouldn't put anything past those con men. Nice talk from a Reverend
just like the nice talk from the pulpit of TUCC, from the reverend so called Jeremiah Wright.
I wondered about it when I heard what Jesse Jr
said of his father. My first thought was it wasn't very respectful, regardless of what his father said. You don't publicly reprimand yourf
father and you don't refer to him as a stranger
Reverend Jackson, rather than "my father". Who ever wrote the script wasn't too bright there.

Jackson: narcissist
Mike, what have you been smoking? Don't become a rightwing nutter. For decades Jesse Jackson has shown he is all about Jesse Jackson. He is not going to knowingly risk his leadership position (such as it is) or civil rights legacy for such a short-term gain for someone else.

This is the most baseless article I've ever seen on Townhall and it should be an embarrassment to rational thinking conservatives. Its true because it could be? Since when did Townhall became conspiracy central?

Obama's Cohones
Jesse Jackson was right but really Obama has no cohones -

Spitting in the Face of the Camera
It matters not if Jesse Jackson spit in the soup of a white man because some white man probably spit in his soup, too, but it does matter if you spit in the face of the camera. I don't think he would have gone as far as to say that he'd like to rip off Obama's private parts if he knew the mics were on, but I doubt that he has any remorse about it, either, because it's just a saying lots of guys use which isn't nice - but they do say it in the locker rooms, I'd imagine. I think Jackson doesn't believe that Obama gives a hoot about prejudice since Obama projects that it doesn't exist any longer - now that's a real reason that I could understand Jackson's feelings because prejudice is alive and well along with bigotry despite what the controled media wants to project in favor of elitist Obama who lacks experience and compassion on those issues related to the other half of his race and minorities who suffer discrimination in many areas, even today!

Absolutely!
The thought hit me the minute I heard the "gaffe"!!! jj has always been and will always be a total fraud, and causes the African American race more damage than the KKK itself. I sure am glad that I'm not the only one who thinks that it was exactly what it sounded like (a total sham!)

obama and clergy
If Obama is the 'fresh face' of tomorrow, am not sure he wants the good reverend supporting his campaign. Remember he already has the black vote, so Jesse really can't do much for him, unless you think jesse can bring in some 'bitter land' people into Obamanation LOL!

Disabled Vet and Lapelle Pin - hello?
Obama likes to use staged performances to make a point that is hurting him politically. Remember the disabled vet who gave him the lapelle pin - I am assuming it's the one he is wearing in an effort to portray 'false patriotism'????? It's not Jesse, it's Obama who is the performer, and his record that keeps changing every month is becoming tiresome so he needs to create a distraction of being 'attacked' so that he can generate some excitment. Let's face it - the change and sound judgment tour ended very poorly considering Clinton won the popular vote LOL! and now the man does not have a coherent message to keep the flock in line....expect more drama from Obama because that is all the substance he has - drama filled life experiences, and not in a good way. BTW - does anyone believe when Obama says 'it's out time' he means ALL people?

Sharon, i agree - it was staged but
it backfired because Obama's favorability never recovered and infact it affected Oprah's ratings by over 30 points (down). Americans are smart and they can see through Hussein as clearly as they saw through Kerry. McCain will be the next president.

Sarah
Oprah's ratings are down 30%??? Really? Since when? Do you suppose her base viewership, which has to include a lot of Hillary supporters, is leaving because she supported Obama instead of Hillary? I notice she dropped Obama very quickly after those first insensitive remarks by his wife and then himself. Maybe she had got some feedback from her fans.

Comments
When this was aired on O'Reilly - the next morning on MSNBC (the all Obama all morning and all night cable channel) as the group discussion wore on and on and on - I wondered to myself (self, this is strange so strange why are they continuing in this manner - one would think THEY would give up on that stuff), then the panel conversation began to indicate that - for Obama - this was a favorable incident. Took a ton of bricks - but I got it!!! What's next???

It was an act.
The first thing I thought of when I saw Jesse’s actions, it's a setup! When he thrust out his hand pretending to grab Obama’s nuts you could see he was playing for the camera.

Jesse Jackson
"photoshopped" this bit and finally someone has stated the truth.

The American public is being bamboozled (again) by slick PR companies. Obama gains from JJ's "comments"; Mr. & Mrs. Obama wanted to appear to put space between themselves and the perennial race-baiting types like Jackson.

I wonder what the quid pro quo is for Jackson? A cabinet position or an ad hoc ceremonial sinecure?

OBAMA MARKETED LIKE A BAR OF SOAP

.....It was obvious to me when I saw the JJ spot that he knew that he was being heard ...so my question was ...if it was deliberate then why? ...this article answers my question ...

.....The powers (Soros) that are trying to get Obama into the White House are marketing him like a new brand of soap ...the pseudo Presidential Seal on his podium ...the acceptance speech at a collusium instead of the Convention Hall ...the planned speech at the Brandeburg gate ...all designed to sell "President" Obama ...

.....Now JJ falling on his sword for the cause ...it's all a big con game and there's a quid pro quo in there for JJ down the road .....COLOSSUS

Agree and disagree
I agree it helped Obama, who would LIKE people to believe that he's post racial. I don't believe it for a minute. He uses race every chance he gets. He listened to BLT for 20 years. He married a full-on BLT woman. It's only for appearance. When he preaches individual responsibility it's as big a lie as his centrism on anything else.

But I also believe that JJ would never, repeat NEVER fall on the sword.
He's jealous, and he unwittingly gave Obama a plum. It was as big a gaffe as hymietown.

EXACTLY !
This is exactly what I thought when I first heard this - the first thing that jumped into my head. I couldn't for the life of me understand how the news-radio guys - her in Chicago! - couldn't see through this act.

Since then I've been scouring the web to find someone who'd point out the obvious. That these guts are more devious than we can imagine. They've learned well from the Clintons but have left them in their dust.

Naive
Well put a sign on my back that says "I'm stupid kick me". I never thought about the possiblity that Jesse Jackson's comments were deliberate and calculated to help Obama. I just thought he had a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease that day. Anything is possible I suppose. This campaign has gotten bad ugly and will get even worse the closer we get to election day. Fasten your seat belts folks. The ride is about to get even bumpier.

Gallagher is hardly a thinker
He's got a theory, but keep in mind the source.

I agree Jackson probably knew he was being overheard. But as always, Gallagher takes a revelation and comes to the completely wrong conclusion.

He wasn't doing it to HELP Obama, he was trying to find a way to get his digs in on the man publically without being seen as disloyal to the movement. He was sending the message "Obama is talking down to you, I wouldn't do that, don't vote for him". If he just came out and said that, then HIS private parts would be the ones at risk from angry blacks hoping for the first "black" president.

Jesse Jackson does not want an Obama win. He wants this half-white interloper into the movement he feels he is the de-facto leader of defeated and sent away asap.

With Jackson it's not about holding power, it's about his own prestige and notariety, and if he can't be president, then that is best maintained as the voice of opposition to the white man. He can't very well complain about institutionalized racism when the president is a black man. When Barack Obama loses the election, it will be because of "racism" and Jesse will be back on top.

Hillary isn't dead yet!
Have you heard that Hillary supporters have raised over $10,000,000 in jsut a couple of weeks and plan to have her entire campaign debt retired by this weekend so that they can dump Obama at the convention?

This is great news for everyone who is sick of SNOBAMA!

Just go to: http://justsaynodeal.com/ for all of the delicious details.

IMO Jesse Jackson should be blackballed.
Harumph....

Rose 1:40 a.m. Reply #69
Obama definitely does NOT project that racism no longer exists. I haven't been able to stomach listening to him for quite awhile, but all his admonitions to us not to bring race into the election process ... gee, his books for heaven's sake! Come on! He isn't post-racial; he did, indeed, need a Sister Souljah moment to calm the white folks who were beginning to wonder which Obama we would get.

The playing and replaying of the clip on all channels effectively shortened any time that might have been devoted to McLame's economic plans, to say nothing of minimizing the story of yellow cake uranium being taken from Iraq to be stored in Canada.

Yellow cake uranium in Iraq?? Whaaaaat? Why, that might mean ... no, no it couldn't ... that Joseph Wilson and Valerie Plame ... no, I can't say it...

Race Hustlers one and all
J. Jackson, Sharpton, Farakhan, Rev. Wright, Obama---All Race Hustlers, and White Haters. Just variations of the same old "Blame Game" that blacks have been taught non-stop by Race Hustlers who make a livelihood out of teaching hate, in the guise of seeking Equality. Blacks have more opportunities than any white in this society today. Look at Obama, he got to go to Harvard by virtue of being black, as an Affirmative Action Quota student, while Blacks who truly qualified by ability, intelligence and test scores were denied, as well as many whites. Un-Qualified Blacks have been going to universities and colleges for 40 plus years based solely on color and not ability.

This has hurt the black race more than anything the white man could have done. It has put people such as Obama in places and positions which he does not deserve based on ability.

So, today, blacks, complete with Entitlements, including being able to go to college without actually preparing for it, and when they do not get what they want, "they yell racism" and the powers that be buckle under and give it to them without question, and never even look at qualification. This gives blacks an unfair and undeserved advantage.

So, it is my contention, that today Blacks do Not Want Equal Rights. They want Un-Equal Rights that favor them. They want special treatment just because they are black.

There will never be true Equality in this Nation until blacks who have every opportunity as any other citizen have to play on an even field without being spotted about a 100 points just because of race. Are blacks perhaps that much inferior that they need the Point Spread, or can they compete on their own abilities, talents, and intellingence, and hard work?

Good question. If I were a black, I would say no to Jesse Jackson, Obama, Sharpton and other Race Hustlers who teach me that I need Special Treatment and That I am A Victim.

That is what a man or woman with integrity, self respect and dignity would tell these Black Race Hustlers Who Are Harming My Race.

Jackson shows that all is not equal.....
Rev. Jesse Jackson revealed to the world exactly what I have been saying for the past 3- 3/4 decades! AFRICAN Americans' are not and do not consider themselves the same as every Black American or just Americans out there no mater what their racial composition.
These are the ones who benefitted from ERA, CRA and you cannot use the `N` word to call a spade a spade.
This is the reason we have laws that destroy basic civil rights, infavor of crorrupted racial Rights.
They slay the language, our laws, customs and besmirtch our heritage. They are the reason the two peoples are at odds. White trash and `N's

digger says: Obama has been to 57 states
and it will soon be 58.
He has degrees but a terrible lack of knowledge and common sense.

Can you imagine him dealing with the head of Iran, that very small country?

He can not possibly run the USA when he does not know history or geography.

He is a Chicago political hack with the backing of some very bad people. One of whom is now in Prison

clowns and fools!
the devil has many clowns working for him! obamascam is making deals with anyone he can to get what he wants, and what he wants is AMERICA! if elected, the fools of AMERICA that are following obama will find that the change is not for the good of this country! obama will talk down to the blacks and whites and what ever other color there is! obama is for obama! wake up folks, he wants to hand AMERICA and ISREAL over to the terriost of the middle east!
