Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Since Democrats think us Republicans are all a bunch of ogres, why don’t I just give them what they want: Boy, that Michael J. Fox character sure does have some nerve, doesn’t he? I mean, the guy deserves to suffer from Parkinson’s disease since he’s a Hollywood liberal. He probably wants to twitch and jerk around when on camera. Matter of fact, he probably likes having Parkinson’s. It keeps him in the limelight. And while we’re on the subject, I really wish people like him would just stop whining about their problems. We all have problems.

That pretty much sums up what liberals think about us, right? We’re just a bunch of mean-spirited jerks that have no compassion, no sympathy; no understanding of what it means to suffer physical adversity or personal tragedy.

Obviously, that’s not the case at all. Everyone’s heart goes out to people like Fox. The embryonic stem cell research debate that was re-ignited by his political campaign ads for Democrats has nothing to do with whether or not he took his medications before filming the ads. In fact, it really doesn’t have anything to do with Michael J. Fox at all.

The real tragedy is how this issue has been completely distorted by passionate people who believe that embryonic stem cell research is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Listen, I’m no scientist or doctor. I’m not really sure if embryonic stem cell research can lead to cures for diseases. But I certainly know what I believe, and like millions of fellow taxpaying Americans, I believe that life begins at conception. No one who believes that life begins at conception would approve of destroying embryos while conducting research.

Unlike the perception that liberals have of folks like me, I understand that not everyone believes that life begins at conception. And I’m certainly capable of realizing that if one doesn’t believe life begins at conception, one would have no problem with embryonic stem cell research.

But for those of us who are pro-life, it’s totally unreasonable to expect us to pay for it. And that’s all this entire debate is about. It’s simply about the federal funding. It really isn’t about stem cell research; there’s plenty of stem cell research going on in America today. It just needs to stay in the private sector. We don’t want to fund euthanasia, we don’t want to fund abortion, and we don’t want to fund embryonic stem cell research.

One more word about the Michael J. Fox controversy: Ann Coulter was the first person to bravely point out what she calls the “doctrine of infallibility” of the left. Liberals love the idea of taking a sympathetic figure like Michael J. Fox, turning him into a political activist, and practically daring anyone to say anything critical of him. After all, what kind of cruel, vicious person criticizes a person with Parkinson’s, right?

She wrote about this devious and manipulative strategy in her book, “Godless”, when referring to the four 9/11 widows from New Jersey who became Democratic Party activists. All she said was that when these types of people make a decision to enter the political arena, it’s almost infantile to expect that their views are off-limits.

Rush Limbaugh attempted to say the same thing after his criticism of Michael J. Fox. In fact, I think Rush even used the word, “infallibility” in explaining his on-air remarks.

But the mainstream media isn’t about to pass up a nice potshot at Limbaugh. Just like Ann Coulter is constantly portrayed as some kind of vicious shrew, Rush was described as a mean conservative who didn’t care one whit about Michael J. Fox and his condition. After having worked with Rush at WABC in New York for a couple of years and getting the chance to know him a bit, I know that nothing is further from the truth.

But truth won’t get in the way of a good old fashioned conservative-bashing by the media elite.

So since they don’t really care about what’s true and what isn’t, I guess I’ll get back to business: I like to steal candy from little children. I pull the wings off flies. I push little old ladies out of the way…………

Why harvest eggs?

.....mountainrose....

.....I don't see why eggs would have to be harvested to produce embryos for reaseach...Planned Parenthood produces millions of fetusus every year...wouldn't the next logical step be to sell these aborted fetuses to research labs?...

......that way Planned Parenthood could collect money on both ends of the abortion...follow the money.....COLOSSUS
