Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

On July 7, 2004, Mr. Ford met with Professor Wetchler to discuss possible thesis topics. During the meeting, he proposed several topics, one of which was same-sex parenting. Wetchler became visibly agitated with this idea. When he saw this, Mr. Ford stated that he felt as if Wetchler was not allowing him to explore his options fully and that other faculty members thought this was a viable and reasonable research topic. When Wetchler heard this, he immediately ended the meeting saying: “Jeff, if you did this, it would be professional suicide.”

At least two other students were allowed to research thesis topics related to homosexual conduct. Their theses advocated this conduct and treated it as a positive good for individuals and society. The program faculty approved both topics.

Mr. Ford, because of his Mormon faith, would have to choose another topic. And his troubles were far from over.

6. This is a trap! But, without having sufficient time or space, I will answer "yes" but, only in the same sense that you may become a father even though you have a father. Another topic for discussion, I think you may be surprised at the true LDS doctrine, not the garbage that is so often attributed to the LDS by anti-Mormons.

7. Another trap; but that's ok. The LDS doctrine teaches that man is a fallen being, that is, cannot dwell in the presence of God without assistance. Moses, for example, was able to behold God as long as he was "protected" by the Holy Spirit.

Man can not achieve salvation without the assistance of someone who is "perfect" or without sin. That is Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Father. As John says in his epistles, Jesus came in the flesh.

On the day of Pentecost, Peter told those present that to be saved they must:
a. Have faith in Jesus Christ
b. Repent (Change their lives).
c. Be baptized, "by one with authority, such as Peter."
d. Receive the Holy Ghost.
e. Endure to the end of their mortal lives.

Therefore it is necessary to be a Christian in act as well as in spirit. One cannot be saved by simply saying "I believe." We must obey the commandments. That is another false accusation labeled by ant-Mormons.

No one can be saved except through the grace of Jesus Christ, but He has said, "If you love me keep my commandments." His commandments are much more comprehensive than merely saying I believe.

The Bible, while a record of God's relationship with prophets of old, is not the saving power. Obedience and "working" as Christ wants us to do is essential.

Hey!I am certainly more than happy to discuss any subject with anyone as long as it is done without rancor or anger. You did not hurt my feelings; my wife sometimes questions my sensitivity to her feelings and for that I have asked for foregiveness.

I find your questions to be of merit, and I would like to clarify the LDS position. You are certainly free to disagree, obviously!

Sort of off-topic -
1. Is Jesus God?
2. Is the Father God?
3. Is the Holy Spirit God?
4. Are they the same God?
5. Is YHWH the God of Israel the ONLY God EVER?
6. Can any human ever BECOME a God?
7. If you're not RC, can we all say SOLA SCRIPTURA? SOLA FIDE?
Some other articles of faith, ya know? Again, off-topic and no need to answer. It has zero bearing on how you and I can agree with each other in other areas.

1. Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Father and is in fact God the Son, so yes He is a God.

2. The Father of God The Son is certainly The God to whom His Son prayed; He is also the being that Christ said to Mary, "I go to My Father and to your Father, to My God and to your God."

3. The Holy Spirit is the Third Personage of the Godhead; The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. We believe, as was recorded in scripture that The Holy Ghost is a Personage of Spirit. I would like to clarify that in another venue (check my blog later; it's not yet ready).

4. As I mentioned above, there are three personages in the Godhead; they are separate beings but are united in purpose. (Again, more clarification is needed.)

5. Jehovah, was the "pipeline" to God The Father; He was in fact, Jesus Christ who was chosen before the foundation of the earth were laid to be the Savior of mankind. Jehovah ans Jesus are one and the same.
