Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Yesterday, I received the following letter from the European Human Rights Panel demanding an apology for my recent column “How to Bomb a Gay Bath House.” Below this letter, you will read my sincere apology to the EHRP. As usual, no sarcasm is intended:

Mr. Adams we are with the European Human Rights Panel, and this is the letter, by us, which was send to the Chancellor of UNC:

Mr. Chancellor, we are with the European Human Rights Panel, and we have been informed about Dr. Mike S. Adams, who is your emploey [sic]. Dr. Adams is known for his fascist and homophobic attitudes this [sic] are his quotes:

1. Start a website called “Global War on Fags” today.

2. Begin writing essays calling for the cleansing and purification of society via the mass murder of homosexuals.

3. Distribute videos on the website showing the actual murders of homosexuals.

4. Circulate instructions on how to bomb gay bath houses in San Francisco.

5. Circulate a “battle dispatch” to give people specific information on America’s most notorious bath houses.

Does the fact that you are his employer means [sic] that you SUPPORT his attitudes [sic], WE HOPE NOT. We do not want to report your university to the European Commission. But if we do report you, The European Comission [sic] has the right to impose many restrictions on your institution including: banned [sic] on student exchange, banned [sic] on publication of your works in the European union, banned [sic] on your professor [sic] to teache [sic] or even visit the European Union, aloso [sic] the European Union is by law obligated to stop financing all hate spreading institutions, so this gives the European Comission [sic] the power to: banned [sic] all commercial activities in the European Union of companies that are subsidizing [sic] you, knowing that you are a state University the Commission also has the power to banned [sic] the exports of North Carolina to the EU, which are 20% of all of [sic]exports and rising, from 1999 to 2006 – 150,000 new jobs where [sic] open [sic] in this state thanks to European exports. We sincerely hope that this mater [sic] will not come to the European Comissin [sic] or to the European Court of Human Rights, and Adams will apologise.

If not we will have to inform the European Comission [sic] about your conduct and ask the Commission to impose sanctions on your institution and your financiers, we will also take this to both American and the European courts wich [sic] will cost you great amounts of money.

Sincerely yours,
European Human Rights Panel

We hope that you recognise [sic] how unwise your conduct was and how badly [sic] reflects the UNC, and that you will publicly apologise [sic] on your blog?

Sincerely yours,
European Human Rights Panel

Dear European Human Rights Panel:

I have read your letter and was deeply moved – to the point of offering this full and unequivocal apology, which will also be sent to my boss Erskine Bowles:

1. I am sorry that I do not care what my boss Erskine Bowles – a former member of the deeply corrupt Clinton administration – thinks on this or any other matter whatsoever.

2. I am sorry that your spell checker is broken.

3. I am sorry that you think people who are trying to fight European-style socialism are fascists.

4. I am sorry that you lost your dictionary.

5. I am sorry that you suffer from heterophobia.

6. I am sorry that some members of your group suffer from severe intellectual hernia that keeps them from understanding satire.

7. I am sorry that some members of your group really do understand satire and pretend not to in order to engage in political extortion.

8. I am sorry that political extortion has become less effective since Jesse Jackson started playing hide the sausage out of wedlock.

9. I am sorry that in your zeal to defend the gay bath houses in San Francisco, you failed to realize that there are no gay bath houses in San Francisco.

10. I am sorry that you were so offended by my recent column “How to Slaughter an Innocent Unicorn” that you were moved to write a letter of complaint to PETA.

11. I am sorry that some members of your group suffer from severe intellectual hernia that keeps them from understanding that, like San Francisco bath houses, unicorns don’t actually exist.

12. I am sorry that I am afraid of gay unicorns.

13. I am sorry that I cannot apologize on my blog because I do not blog.

14. I am sorry that you failed to understand the point of my satire, which is printed in bold letters below:

The very existence of Western Civilization is threatened by our failure to take Islamic Fascism seriously. To the extent that we give more air time to Ann Coulter’s f-bomb and less to Julio Pino’s pro-Jihadist writings, we endanger ourselves and our children. Political correctness, quite literally, threatens our very existence.

I hope you will enjoy my next column called “How to Murder an Intelligent European Human Rights Activist.” Please don’t consider it a threat. No such thing actually exists.

Dr. Adams can be reached at DrAdams.org when he is not bathing his white unicorn inside a gay bath house in San Francisco while eating good sushi and listening to a good song written by Yoko Ono.

My philosophy
I've always believed that the easiest way to make a liberal look stupid is to just let them talk. If you want to make a liberal look really stupid, let them talk alongside a conservative. When you publish the letters you receive, you further strengthen my belief in that philosophy. Carry on, good sir.

Dr. Mike, you make me proud to be
a fellow American! Thank you and Godspeed.

huh?
Why are you writing this, Mr. Adams? There's no such organization as the "European Human Rights Panel," as I'm sure you know. So why correspond with some nut who can't spell? And why pretend that said nut is a reliable sample of intelligent European opinion?

It's not Islamic fascism ...
... it's garden variety Islam that's the threat.

See, for example,
http://www.nationalreview.com/script/printpage.p?ref=/comment/london200512160955.asp

or http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/006198.html

Islam isn't really a religion. It's a political movement with goals to bring the whole world under its sway. Appropriately, the word "Islam" means "submission." Not "peace." Or perhaps it means "the peace of submission." But, however you parse the word, it's the end of western freedoms.

A "good" Muslim --- one who's true to his religion --- will give infidels (non Muslims) three choices: Convert to Islam, live subjugated as a dhimmi, or be killed. If Muslims in a society are too few to carry out such a program, they wait until they can pull it off, telling whatever lies are necessary in the process.

Muslims are Nature's way of telling us that multiculturalism is a really stupid idea.

I guess
that Adams isn't planning any vacations in Europe.

ANTIteenmommas
"he fails to realize that his ignorant readers actually take his words at face value and use his rhetoric as a reason to hunt down and kill innocent people just because they are gay"

Only ignorant people like you do ignorant things like that. The rest of Mike's "ignorant" readers are the hard working conservative people in this country who do not go on welfare or food stamps because we are too proud (not ignorant) to take money from other hard working people. You are so full of donkey $hit that you drip brown when you walk. Get a freakin' clue !

Sushi
I would like to say that the real victim here is the Sushi, which is very good and should not be lambblasted by Dr. Adams.

We really need to focus on the big issues here.

Shadowsbane

I agree with you, Sushi is the real victim.

The enemy of rights' activists is US
“Liberals and respectable conservatives say there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.”

“The Netherlands and Belgium are more crowded than Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.”

“Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.”

“What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?”

“How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem? I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?”

“And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?”

“But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.”

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

“Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.”

ANTIteenmommas
Show me some evidence that even ONE of Mike Adams' readers have committed a crime similar to the one you have outlined.

Ahhhh Satire
While finding the title "How to Bomb A Gay Bathhouse" a wee bit disturbing, the content drew similarities to either rligious Islamic writings or rants from Kent State Jihadist professors. I believe it was dang near Swiftian (Swiftuesque? Swiftistic? English Professors, help a brother out)in its proportions. To take writings on a comment site featuring Dr Adams (or any author for that mattter) without proper checking of facts dooms one to ridicule and intellectual idiocy. Keep up the good work Doctor. Pax Vobiscum.

What?
There's no such thing as unicorns?????

confused
I'm confused by folks like ANTIteenmommas who seem to think that conservatives smart enough to log onto the internet, find Townhall, and read Dr. Adams satire are stupid enough to actually go out and kill gays. I'm confused that she seems to think Adams should be censored (no, she never said that but it is implied) so that we all don't do what we've never done.

I'm futher confused that when libs go on television (much more accessible to ignorant, gullible masses) and talk about all manner of torture, maiming and even killing of conservatives there is no outrage, no cautionary "Please do not try this at home" warning, or no "Just kidding" by the ranter. Maybe ANTIteenmommas only outrage is if gays are killed - she would be just fine with any and all conservatives being killed.

Wow. It didn't take long to...
...hit the gutter.

The topic of this series of columns is Militant Islamism, by the way.

But as long as the discussion has veered off course, I like to say for the record that Christian conservatives routinely denounce and condemn the violent actions against gays which antiteenmommas described. The fact that liberals also condemn them is great.

All of this is part
of the Pino thread. I think Mike knows that anytime you attack the Homo lifestyle lobby you will get a vicious attack back, even when your attack was nothing more than satire to show that there is a double standard.

I fully expected to see a confession that last week's column about the KKK at Wilmington was satire also, but I guess the reaction to his "Gay Bathhouse" column comes first to give more time for the left to react to his KKK column.

my 2 cents
Something is technically wrong with the TH website.

Tyler - I agree with you - just let 'em talk and sooner or later they'll make fools of themselves. In that light some of the other responses to Adams' piece are in that category.

In Re Let them speak for themselves - Occasionally I have made references to a site called MEMRI (WWW.MEMRI.ORG) and a few days ago they had a real beaut - SD #1503.

Too funny Dr. Adams
I love satire. How come I get it and the libs don't. Must be that heterophobia or herniated brain syndrome that all moonbats suffer from?

Enough about liberal oxygen-thieves.....

PS Nice job Gunny and all who participated.

Maybe next time Jane and Cindy will think twice before defacing our sacred grounds. Semper Fi and Hoo-ah to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually geo
he did the black version of the satire on Friday. You are so easy!

Gunny
I was with the GOE in DC, too. It was awesome. I'm so glad I was there in person so that I know firsthand that we absolutely outnumbered the anti-America bunch. My husband's a VN vet but couldn't make it to the march. My son's getting ready for his third deployment. I'm glad I had a chance to support the troops.

Back to Mike's column, it was a great satire. Seems the only ones who don't recognize it as such are the liberals. And, as the first poster noted, we only have to let them talk and they show their confusion. antiteenmommas does it every time. Keep up the good work Mike. PP

Geo
This conservative doesn't hate gays, but he does believe that homosexual activity is immoral. Tolerance, which I have, dictates that I put up with behavior I consider immoral, however I am under no obligation to affirm it as being otherwise. It's more accurate to say that militant gays have done their best to promote hatred of Christianity. The gay activist extremists have certainly produced significant levels of "vicious hate propaganda" against Christians.

Al
"...And why pretend that said nut is a reliable sample of intelligent European opinion?..."

Who's pretending?

Geo is tolerant
Geo has "tolerance", as reflected in this sentence

"This Adams creature would never have posted the column had the target been black church and jewish home"

"This Adams creature" reflects Geo's tolerance. One day, I hope I will be so tolerant.

I'll be back later, I have to find a gay bathouse to bomb. Its my duty as a conservative apparently.

This guy is too funny!
Sadly, the reactions are way too predictable. On an article about how utterly stupid this email was, the conversation has morphed into an attack on conservatives that know that homosexual behavior is immoral. It doesn't take much for the pro-gay people and the anti-Christian people to turn something simple into a gay rights, Christain bashing extravaganza.

BTW, I have new articles up on my blog. Check them out when time permits.

ANTIteenmommas
"...they should be entitled to the rights guaranteed in the Constitution to pursue happiness in the form of the legal protections of a civil union/marriage."

Please tell me where I will find this in the Constitution of the United States.

Geo
Fiddler correctly wrote that gay activist extremists have no tolerance. If Christians do not bow to every aspect of the gay lifestyle, they are called homophobic. Do not confuse consitency with hatred. Christians ask that people use tact with regard to sex. Straight or homosexual, they ask that your sexual experiences be kept in the bedroom. Christians do not care about your sexual preference until you stick it in the public arena and demand acceptance. Asking for the slightest amount of respect for children does not equate to hatred.

Adams' wealth would exceed that of...
Bill Gates' and George Soros' combined if he indeed located a good Yoko Ono song and sold it on e-Bay.

ALL
One last shameless blog plug.

I just posted Nee's in-depth report on the scumbaggery she and I witnessed. A MUST read to counter the libscum lies emanating from the Pizz Stream Media outlets (CNNABCCBSNBCMNCBRUETERSAP)

antiteenmommas
Not to parse an issue, but if you are going to try to appear as a well-read person, you had better do it correctly. Swift's satire was not of "the Irish eating their babies" but of "absentee English landlords eating Irish babies". Of course this is not germane to the article of Dr. Adams but don't try to appear as some superior being here to enlighten all of the ignorant, knuckle-dragging conservatives without checking your facts. Also, bringing in your personal proclivities for self-satisfaction was completely unnecessary.
To all: Despite the personal relationship you may feel you have with the author of this article, he is at least due the respect of being referred to by his proper title. I have corresponded with him in the past and referred to him as Dr. Adams or Professor Adams. To do otherwise shows not only a lack of respect but also a lack of proper upbringing.

My word, Fletch
It's not often we see such a thorough beating handed out here.

Well done.

Spelling defense
There's not much exuse for most of the poor spelling by my European neighbours, but words like "regognise" and "apologise" are spelled with an S not a Z in the UK. And seeing as most of their correspondence is presumably with the UK that's why their spell check isn't set up for US spelling. Plus I'd like to see any of you lot write a letter in a foreign language and not make spelling mistakes...

Adam's main point was boldfaced
But he's wrong. It's not Islamic fascism, it's garden variety Islam that's the threat.

See, for example,

And is the boldest way, if not the best,
To tell men freely of their foulest faults;
To laugh at their vain deeds and vainer thoughts."

europeons...
I expect as much from EuroPEONS.

Thanks Fletch
For pointing out the obvious - that this is made up off the top of Mike Adams' head. I should have spotted it. Shame on me. I've met one or two punters who work for the EU - without exception their English has been impeccable. Better than mine!

An aside about Pino
EB was on the Bob Frantz radio show in Ohio today. And he must've attracted some attention because I got a ton of hits from Kent State and Cleveland, Ohio looking for the screen shots I posted yesterday of the Global War blog and the site tracker leading directly back to the history department. Maybe local attention will force KSU to respond (with something other than a denial).

FYI Post is linked in an earlier comment.

EHRP
EHRP is a small NGO based in Eastern Europe, in Budapest, working for gay rights. They do not work for the EU. This is all I know folks!

MA - Best Ever
This has got to go down as Mike's best ever column. He owes a great dept of appreciation to the EU for serving as a perfect foil. They prove themselves to be asinine, almost beyond belief.

The danger is, they may prove to be this generation’s inquisitors. Prepare to believe, the earth is flat.

Satire is a beautiful thing
Great satire Mike. You should get a job working for SNL. Oh wait....that's a lib show. Er...I mean Fox's new 1/2 Hour News Hour....

You might finally get to meet Ann.

Perverts..
Homosexuals Nero, Hitler, & Reno murdered civilians by barbequing them.

Homosexuals Davis Don Carpenter (38) and Joshua Macabe Brown (22) raped & murdered 13 year old Jesse Dirkhising.

(While an employee of USWest I had to deal with these agressive perverts. They accuse anyone who disapproves of their perverted subhumna behaviors as being hate-mongers, while they themselves are so full of hate that the words spewing from their lips remind one of speaches given by their fellow homosexual Adolph Hitler.)

wise man
Tyler, you are wise beyond your years...

anti-socialist
Homophobic subhuman rednecks Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney murdered Matthew Shepard in Wyoming Oct 7, 1998 because he was gay.

According to McKinney, Shepard asked them for a ride home. Subsequently, Shepard was robbed, severely beaten, tied to a fence in a remote, rural area and left to die. McKinney and Henderson also found out his address, intending to burglarize his home. Shepard was discovered by a bicyclist 18 hours later, still alive but unconscious.

He was pronounced dead at 12:53 a.m. on October 12 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins[4][5][6][7]. Police arrested McKinney and Henderson shortly thereafter, finding the bloody gun as well as the victim's shoes and wallet in their truck.[8] The two men had attempted to get their girlfriends to provide alibis.

Hate is wrong, satire is funny.

ANTIteenmommas
Do you also blame spoons for Rosie O'Donnell being fat and rock music games for teen violence/suicide?

How about a little personal responsibility? Blame the criminals for the crimes, not Dr. Adams for using satire to make a point.

SamIAm
Thank you for the compliment, but do you mind me asking how you know 'my years'?

life, liberty, pursuit of happiness
Sorry, but the key word there is "pursuit" not guarantee. Marriage is between and man and a woman, nothing else.

Homosexuality is immoral, if you believe in the Bible. It's deviant sexual behavior no matter whether you believe in creation or evolution.

Gay people should never be abused nor discriminated against for being different but let's not pretend it's normal or moral behavior and let's not blame Dr. Adams for making a point.

I would also not support any bad satire
So you think gays should be able to marry but Dr. Mike Adams can't have his guaranteed free speech?

Good luck with *that* delusion too...

Getting past Sheppard.
No, we can't and we shouldn't. You're right it was unforgivable I'd go as far as evil but like the holocaust, we can't get past it. We can't get past racism or homophobia until they no longer exist, which may be a while.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," -- George Santayana

ANTIteenmommas
You say this country needs more tolerance. Why don't you start by tolerating the views of people that consider homosexuality to be immoral? People aren't going to take you seriously if you don't tolerate intolerance. Think about it.

Geo
Sorry for the delay. I was out beating up gays. You either didn't read my post or you are so frought with venom that you refused to acknowledge it. You assumed things I never have said or thought. My support for marraige between a man and a women in no way displays hatred toward gays. There is a historic reason and a larger reason why I believe society is better served to leave marriage defined as it is. I demand nothing from gays. Are you telling me that if I do not wish that children be subjected to classifying people according to their sexual preferences, that I hate those peole.
You assume too much. read your vile post. You assumed way too much. You know too little.

Nonsense...
I don't tolerate intolerance. That's just an excuse the intolerant try to use to justify their hate. To "accept" intolerance is to perpetuate it. I may not agree much with ANTIteenmommas but we certainly do need more tolerance.

you forgot to apologize for..
their disappointment that joining a union didn't yield what was promised. Please-please send them a new spell checker... the union led education system doesn't seem to be working out very well. As they are most assuredly Godless, the responsiblity falls on you to render aid.

AntiTeenMommas...
You are quickly taking over the title of stupidest liberal troll here at TH! Great job!

So you believe that the Constitution guarantees happiness? Wow! Interesting perspective! Did you ride the short bus or the really short bus to school when you were a child? Or this morning?

The Constitution must also guarantee life since life is listed before the "pursuit" of happiness. You must be wholly against abortion then right? (I ask tongue in cheek because I am sure that you are more concerned about "woman's rights" than the life of unborn children. Just a guess.)

Fletch
"And Patriot's take is absolutely right. There is no "right" to marriage (even through some twisted reading of the Deaclaration's reference to the "pursuit of happiness") ANYWHERE. Personally, I couldn't care less whta you do with another consenting adult, but the right of a religious person NOT to recognize a homosexual "marriage" IS one that is explicitly protected by the Bill of Rights - no coincidentally in the VERY FIRST item on the list."

Wrong. Go back and review the SCOTUS case that overturned the Virginia law banning inter-racial marriage in 1967. The majority opinion stated that marriage is a fundamental human right. Apparently, some things are so basic that the Founders didn't feel the need to spell them out for you. Also, English Common Law is different from continental European legal theory, because English Law pesumes EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY FORBIDDEN!!!! European models assume that the State grants you rights at it's discetion, instead of rights being derived from Divine Providence, or Nature. That is why under our legal system, marriage is an established right already derived from Common Law. Bill O'Reilly can rant all he wants to about marriage being a privilage, and Judge Napoitano tried to correct him to no avail. It is a RIGHT! The Constitution doesn't specifically say you have a right to breathe oxygen, either, but we take it for granted. The Founders assumed we could figure some things out for ourselves.

Patriot...you are actually intolerant!
Gay activist are intolerant of traditional marriage. By taking your advise, we shouldn't accept or listen to their position because that would be promoting their "hatred" and "intolerance".

Do you see just how silly your position is?

Fletch
You have a right to disagree but *I* used Sheppard as an example because it demonstrates, perfectly, how the hate is on all sides and it's just as evil either way. Homophobia is wrong just as Nazism, socialism, terrorism and racism are wrong. I don't think it's "over-the-top" to bring up Sheppard when homophobes post other "over-the-top" hate spews.

jander
I suggest you re-read my comments. I'm not for gay marriage, I've already explained my position. Just because marriage is between a man and a woman doesn't mean homophobia is acceptable. Those aren't mutually exclusive opinions.

Good luck...

tyler
GLBT people have no choice but to "tolerate" people who hate them, or mock them, or tell them they are going to h*ll etc etc. What's your point? Are you saying you should be able to say anything YOU want with no critisism for it? I don't see gay people generally being in a position of power to harass conservative Christians. GLBT people make up 5-8% of the population. Conservative Chriatians are easily 3 to 4 times that number. It is balderdash to claim that there is a tolerance problem directed towards Christians from the GLBT community. They may not like YOU per se, but what could they do about it? GLBT people, in the other hand, are still subject to violence and murder (and it is nowhere near as rare as you think!), harrasment at work, firing from employment and discrimination in housing, legal affairs, and a myriad of other problems you don't face. The arguments put out by Christian denialists that homosexuality or gender identity disorder are CHOSEN, are plainly preposterous. Nobody would ever CHOOSE to have this much trouble, but there it is.

Matthew Sheppard wasn't alone...
Here is some testimony from Alabama regarding anti-gay violence...

From Pam's House Blend:

http://www.pamspaulding.com/weblog/2004/12/out-mag-is-alabama-really-worst-place.html

Anyplace else in 2004 America, gay people—and even some straight ones—would be shocked, outraged, and bellowing for justice if two gay men had been killed in less than two weeks. In Alabama we just numbly reassemble for another candlelight vigil on the marble steps of the bleached-white state capitol, right near the spot where Gov. George C. Wallace hollered, “Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” On particularly awful occasions, like this double-murder summer, as many as 65 of us will show up. The few, the brave, the homo-bamians. We stand here wondering how many more of us are going to get burned like witches, struggling to keep the candle wax from dripping onto our hands and pants, glancing nervously over our shoulders whenever a muffler-free pickup truck goes roaring by on its five-foot tires. You just know they’re going to holler something creative like “F*ggots burn in hell!” You just hope they’re not hanging around waiting when you walk back to your car.

My virgin vigil came just a few months after I’d arrived in town. Despite the grim occasion, I found myself looking forward to it in a strange way—at least I’d get to see some of my fellow homo-bamians in the flesh. Since the vigil was commemorating the third anniversary of Billy Jack Gaither’s murder, I figured there’d be quite a crowd. Gaither’s slaughter in February 1999 was one of the nastiest hate crimes in recent history. Just up the road in rural Coosa County, the 39-year-old was slashed with a pocketknife, beaten with an ax handle, and burned on a pile of tires by two guys who did the deed because “he was qu**r.”

A dozen people showed up for Gaither’s vigil. Slumping away afterward, forlornly chewing the wax off my fingers, I couldn’t help wondering, Is there something in the water down here that rendered gay people spineless, speechless, gutless?

A couple of days later I started to catch a clue about why Alabama remains, in the opinion of longtime gay activist Ken Baker, “clearly the nation’s most closeted state.” The then–chief justice of the Alabama supreme court, Roy Moore, a likely candidate for governor in 2006, chose to celebrate the Gaither anniversary by spitting out the ugliest display of judicial homophobia in decades. Moore, best known for installing a washing machine–size Ten Commandments monument in the entrance to the state’s judicial building, tacked a 14-page “special concurrence” onto a decision denying a lesbian mother custody of her children. In it, Alabama’s highest judicial officer declared homosexuality “abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature.” Gay sex, he wrote, is “an act so heinous that it defies one’s ability to describe it,” an “inherent evil” that “should never be tolerated.” And if homo-bamians continued to insist on fornicating? The state might have to use force, Moore wrote, wielding a biblical “power of the sword” to root out this evil once and for all.

“All he didn’t do was hand out the rope,” says Baker. No need for that; rope is always in plentiful supply for Alabama’s homophobes—literally and figuratively. There’s the literal rope that bound 18-year-old Scotty Joe Weaver, the first of this summer’s victims, to a chair in his trailer in rural Pine Grove, where he was beaten, strangled, stabbed, mutilated, and partially decapitated over a period of several hours. His body was then dumped in the woods and set on fire, just like Gaither’s. Then there’s the rhetorical rope that led the accused killer of 40-year-old Roderick George, shot in the head while reportedly cruising downtown Montgomery, to matter-of-factly inform police he’d done the deed because George “made inappropriate sexual advances.” He probably figured the cops would give him a pat on the back and send him home. Hadn’t he done what Alabamians are supposed to do when they’re confronted with an “inherent evil” that “should never be tolerated”?

It must have been quite a shock for him to find himself charged with murder. But at least he can rest assured that if a jury convicts him, there will be no hate-crimes enhancements tacked on to his sentence. The state’s hate-crimes statute makes no mention of sexual orientation. Which means that when the FBI’s hate-crimes stats come out next year, Scotty Joe Weaver and Roderick George will not be counted.

GLBT people make up 5-8%
True that, which verifies my contention that homosexuality is sexually deviant behavior no matter whether you believe in creation or evolution. Marriage is between a man and a woman not only because it's moral but also because it's natural. Let's not try to claim a deviation of 5-8% is normal even if you want to try to argue the morality. Regardless of the desires of gay people to marry and divorce, it doesn't mean that Dr. Adams can't use satire to make a point.

His point is that people should be equally concerned about Dr. Pino's dangerous, anti-American, REAL hate spews as they are when gays, blacks, unicorns or even gay black unicorns are mentioned in satire.

See the difference?

Patriot
"Let's not try to claim a deviation of 5-8% is normal even if you want to try to argue the morality."

Huh? You may as well claim that cerebral palsey and autism are deviant as well. There are statistical minorities within any population, and whether or not you believe in evolution...you must admit that God (however you define Him, if at all) has allowed a profoundly imperfect biological system to operate. Should we forbid other "deviant" populations from marriage as well? Nazi eugenicists would surely applaud.

Fletch
I accept, of course, but there's really no need. Misunderstandings happen. Thank you for the correction, none the less. I agree that accepting Dr. Adam's satire being dependent on the end of crimes by individuals or groups, against gays, is irrational.

There are other restrictions on marriage. Age, mental competency, bloodlines, species and plurality. There's a reason that the majority of the world agrees that marriage is between a man and a woman, it's just naturally the way is.

cerebral palsey and autism are deviant
Those are diseases, are you claiming homosexuality is a disease now? I've already stated that gay people should never be abused or discriminated against but that doesn't make them normal nor moral. God gave us free will.

Keep trying...

fletch
"celtic-dragon. Alas, no, I was not wrong. The problem with your analysis is not that marriage, in the context used in the Virginia case, isn't a right not to be interfered with by the state. the problem is that, contrary to the ruling of the Massachusetts court, "marriage" has a specific meaning in history, English, and LAW (particularly probate and insurance law) that is well established and entails the joining of man and woman."

Yes, you were wrong in the plain sense of your statement, although you seem to have amemded it in your last post. Please observe that i did in any way refer or argue on behalf of gay marriage in my post to you. I was arguing that marriage of itself is, in fact, a recognized right within American and English legal tradition. Acceptance of gay marriage, as well as that of inter-racial marriage, is simply an extension of what has been a fundamental and recognized right for centuries. I know perfectly well that the Founders would be agast at gay marriage. They weren't too keen on women's sufferage, either. Standards do evolve, and we need not try to recreate the social conditions of 18th century America to still be faithful to our Constitution. The Founders did recognize that we would a very different country as years passed, and they made our system of laws and law-making flexible enough to deal with it.

"cerebral palsey and autism are deviant
Those are diseases, are you claiming homosexuality is a disease now?"

I shall be charitable and assume that you really are so obtuse and uninformed as to be unaware of the social and moral stigma attached to the word "deviant". Otherwise, you would be presenting yourself as a cretin of the first order to knowingly chatagorize people with CP, autism or other disorders as deviants. Homosexuality is a statistical minority. That we attach any moral negativity to it is nothing more then a broken social construct we have inherited. We also used to think black people were inherantly disordered because of Cain in the Book of Genesis. Most people don't believe that anymore, nor do they believe that eating shrimp constitutes an abomination, or that a rapist should be able to pay off the father of his victem and marry her to avoid punishment.

Aware...
I'm quite aware of the social stigma attached to the scientific word deviant but it changes nothing and the statistics bear that up.

I never said that "cerebral palsey and autism" are deviants, you just insinuated that along with your desperate Hitler insult, like typical liberals, you can't debate the facts, whether creation nor evolution.

You never answered my question, are you now claiming that homosexuality is a disease? First you tried to insinuate that because gays exists that God must approve but you failed to acknowledge free will. You still fail to understand that homosexuality is deviant behavior even in nature, whereas diseases just happen.

God also warned us not to associate with women that wore earrings but when you try to take things literally, you fail to understand that only prostitutes wore them, back in the day, so what was meant was not to frequent a house of ill repute. The Bible also addresses homosexuality so not matter where you try to come from it's immoral and/or unnatural. That's the definition of deviant.

Maybe you can explain this to me then, as you seem to have stated in your last post...

"cerebral palsey and autism are deviant"

You would be well advised to use another term, then, such as "anomolous", or "statistically marginal". Also, I did not call you a "Nazi", nor did I infer you to be one in any way. You read that in yourself, as the question was rhetorical and plainly meant to be answered negatively...unless you really do believe that autistic and other differential persons really should be denied the right of marriage. I didn't presume you would answer in the affirmative. Additionally, I am not a liberal, and never have been. You assume overmuch, methinks. If your definition of a liberal is simply someone who disagrees with you on a single issue, then you need to evaluate what it really means to be a "conservative", if indeed that is what you call yourself.

"You may as well claim that cerebral palsey and autism are deviant as well."
You ALSO said that the "Nazi eugenicists would surely applaud."

Keep trying to dig your way out, we've all seen these tactics before. If people don't agree with gays on marriage we're called Hitler or otherwise associated with Nazi's.

I'll take your "advise" into consideration but I'm perfectly happy with the accurate term deviant.

Lastly, I never said you were a liberal, I said "LIKE typical liberals"

Good luck...

You are partially correct in stating that perverts don't deserve to be murdered - so long as they keep to themselves. Those who molest children do deserve to die as do those who commit murder themselves.

You misrepresented Shepard's death as it was the result of robbery. Also, he was an antagonist - an obnoxious idiot who loved to offend people. Were a white person killed for offending a black person, the death would have been justified due to "hate speech". Shepard should have been silenced for his hate speech (though not by death).

anti-socialist
I'm completely correct, homophobes are scum.

I didn't misrepresent anything, I even linked the wikipedia page. I also don't care what Sheppard might have said, he didn't deserve to be treated the way he was but the redneck homophobes got off light with 2 consecutive life sentences each. Too bad one is eligible for parole. They should have been executed, THAT would have been justice.

Left-handedness is the same as homosexuality? Moral relativists are a joke. Who said "righties" were superior? :D

"I'm not sure why you hate lesbians except because we don't want to sleep with the likes of you- tough s*it."

HAHAHA, typical angry liberal, see what she's been reduced to? I don't hate gays or lesbians. I live in the second largest gay community in California. I have a lot of gay friends. I'm the one here saying they shouldn't be abused or discriminated against but as I proved, no matter whether you believe in creation or evolution, homosexuality is a deviant behavior and, if the truth hurts, seek the shelter of your delusions elsewhere.

I win! ;)

ANTIteenmommas
It is clear from your ranting that you a a real man hater and out of your tiny little mind. What happened to you?Your Daddy never loved you?Perhaps you didn't even know who he was.

What do you know of biology?Probably nothing.I do.There is no(zero) scientific support for the inheritance of gayness. There is no "gay gene".This may not be the case forever, but certainly is at present. It would appear to be entirely environmental.I have nothing at all against gay people- they can't live together,do whatever they want, they just cannot call it marriage.Marriage is not a "right".I do not know where you get this notion.

To be honest...
The male sex organ of all plants and animals is there for the spreading of seed and the female sex organ for receiving. This has absolutely nothing to do with marriage but it is nature. When homosexual deviation occur, this goes against nature and therefore is accurately called deviant behavior. That takes care of evolution.

Morally speaking, the Bible is clear and I wont bother quoting but it's accurately called deviant behavior. That takes care of creation.

Personally, I don't care what gay or straight people do but "marriage" is about a man and a woman and no matter how much the truth hurts, homosexuality is a deviant behavior. They shouldn't be abused or discriminated against but let's not try to claim it's normal or moral.

I agree that there shouldn't be special treatment either but as Dr. Adams points out, where's the outrage over islamofacist indoctrination by an anti-American jihadist professor compared to the indignation when gay black unicorns are mentioned, in satire, to prove a point?

See, the deluded militant lesbians claim they have an imaginary right to marriage but at the same time they claim that Dr. Adams has no REAL and PROTECTED right to free speech. They have their panties in a wad over satire but liberals selective moral outrage ends when it's anti-American. Pathetic delusions.

Celtic and antiTeen
You missed the point of what I said, so let me elaborate. The definition of tolerance in leftist camps today is very skewed, much like the definition of 'liberal'. Tolerance is now meant to mean acceptance of all views no matter how preposterous they are. However, what isn't tolerated is people who don't share this same view on tolerance. In other words, intolerance is not tolerated. They're tolerant of everybody who shares their views. This, by definition, is the opposite of tolerance.

If the gay community wants to be treated like the rest of us, perhaps they should start acting like the rest of us. Quit shoving your differences down our throat with parades and posters and festivals. Just be gay and be quiet. I can't recall a single heterosexual parade in which people marched to bring attention to their heterosexuality. As long as the gay community continues to celebrate their differences with heterosexuals rather than their similarities, they will be recognized because of their differences.

celtic-dragon
If marriage is a fundamental right, why are licenses required and a legal ceremony? Clearly, there are some basic qualifications required in order to marry. Wanting to marry someone of the same sex or more than one person are disqualifications.

European Human Rights Panel?
Mr. Adams, how dare you assault the integrity of the European Human Rights Panel. Europeans have done more for human rights that you ever will.

Take the following examples:

1. Roman Emperor Nero and his creative solutions to efficient energy use.
2. The European Patriot Act - aka The Spanish Inquisition
3. Women's Rights...to be burned at stake (ala Joan of Arc)
4. Promoting Rights of the Accused...via the guillotine
5. Helping with population control...ala 3rd Reich

I hope you see the contributions that the European Human Rights Panel hopes to continue and give them the respect they are due.

Antiteenmommas
The focus of marriage is not, nor has it ever been, about adults. The basic purpose of it- something that has evolved culturally- is to provide a stable environment to raise a family by forg a bond between man and woman. Marriage matters much more to children than adults. They are its main beneficiaries. Most societies favor the one man-one woman version of marriage.

Marriage is a deeply ingrained social custom not a fundamental right. Any society has a vested interest in providing the best environment possible for raising the next generation. We have decided that this is the "nuclear family", and that it is best not to meddle with this concept too much.

As you are a biologist, you know that histones give stability to the overall structure of DNA and chromatin. They are so important as to be essentially the same in all eukaryotes. No significant mutations over millions of years. Why? Because they are so vital for the survival and procreation of the cell that even a small dysfunction or single mutation is likely to prove fatal.

Apply this to marriage. Marriage and the family are the essential building blocks/histones which give stability to the organism(society). If it/they are significantly compromised, the entire society will show marked dysfunction, which is what we have been witnessing for the last several decades.

In answer to tyler:

'GLBT people have no choice but to "tolerate" people who hate them, or mock them, or tell them they are going to h*ll etc etc. Nobody would ever CHOOSE to have this much trouble, but there it is."

This is non-sensical lying trash and you know it. We all realize by now that you are full-time dissembling leftist propagandist who simply takes the opposing view regardless the conservative argument, facts be damned.

Gays have to 'tolerate' - that's why they're shoving their agenda down school kids throats, why they scream bloody murder whenever someone of stature utters a religious based homo objection, why people like super gay Elton john proposes religion be banned, why college campuses have become centers for the gay agenda thought police, and why you're here getting in everyone's face for having the temerity to support an anti-gay view.

And you don't harass Christians? Why the leftist gay defenders have basically declared war on Christianity, denouncing its mere expression outside a Church as a crime. You've forced many Christian sects to accept the gay agenda to the point that the internal schisms are destroying some of them altogether - which is really what you hope to accomplish.

Just because the non-gays have the numbers doesn't keep you from sanctimoniously yelling ten times as loud.

One thing about you C-D is that you are an ideologically driven liar. Most don't answer you because it's generally a waste of time. I just wanted to let you know that you are quite transparent, and your motives are obvious. Here we must tolerate you but don't try to sell the laughable lie that gays and their agenda are tolerant.

That's what the left does...
That's what they do. Lie, twist, insinuate, indoctrinate. If you don't agree with the liberal agenda, they call you a Nazi or hate-monger all the while spewing their own brand of hate. Socialists cant have morality around or they can't enslave the free. They can't take over unless deviants are accepted as normal.

Regardless, they keep dragging this off-topic because they can't argue fact and reason with anything but emotion and delusion. As I sad before, hate is wrong, satire is funny.

Same Sex Marriage Argument - long post
Waring - Long Post but no cut and paste

An examination of mariage and whether or not same sex couple are being denied a benefit.

Historically marriage has been the joining of one man and one woman in a social and legal contract for the purpose of creating a family and raising children. In some societies the joining involves one man and multiple women (polygamy). In still more rare circumstances the contract involves one woman and multiple men (polyandry). Only in the most recent times has the issue of creating a marriage between same sex parties arisen. In ancient times when same sex relationships were more common than today, there is no evidence that same sex marriage was contemplated. Same sex marriage is an outgrowth of the PC culture of today and the promotion of perpetual victim-hood which enables civil lawyers to make a living.

In the United States there are two avenues for marriage. Both involve civil authorities. In the most common form of marriage, a couple is married under the auspices of a church and the marriage is recognized by the State via a License. Under the other form, the marriage is only recognized by the State via license or common law union. The involvement of the civil authorities in marriage via a license occurred in England in 1753 with the Marriage Act of 1753. This was carried over to America who was then still under British law. Previous to this act the government was involved in marriage strictly through common law marriage known then as “Fleet Marriages”.

The argument today by the advocates of same sex marriage are that they are being denied a civil right (right to marriage) and this imposes some burden on their relationship. This begs two questions, one – is marriage a civil right and two – does denial of this social contract represent a burden on its adherents.

A civil right historically in the US is any one of the rights described in the Constitution. Marriage is not described in the Constitution at all, therefore to be included as a “right” one would have to say that it is one enshrined by the 10th amendment via the rights retained by the States or the people. The 10th amendment has received short shrift by the Supreme Court since the war between the States, however, other arguments can be made. At the time of the Constitution what were the laws for marriage in the US? Did they recognize same sex marriage? The answer to that is that the laws regarding who could be married were pretty much the same then as they are now. Based on that, one could say that via the 10th amendment, there was no inherent right to same sex marriage since in 1789 they were not recognized by the States.

The second question involves the “burden” imposed by denial of this social contract. What benefits are derived from the State recognizing marriage? The primary legal benefits are two; the first being a contact reguarding ownership of property and support and the second being current US tax code which lowers the tax rate for married couples when only one works. The first benefit was designed to provide for the raising of children by providing financial security to the one responsible for raising the children. Basically this brings lawyers into play for any downstream divorce procedings. It is likely that there will be no children in a same sex marriage, therefore the only thing one gains here is the introduction of lawyers.

The second issue invloves tax status. There was no difference in Federal Tax status for married and unmarried people until 1948 when the present system was originated. But is the curent system a benefit for married couples? The answer is, only if one person has income and the other does not. This is an outgrowth of the so-called progressive nature of out income tax in which the tax rate increases exponetially as total income increases.

Observe the following tax liabilities using the 2006 Tax tables.

Single taxpayer with 2 dependents earning 50,000.00 – taxes 3251.

Married taxpayer with 3 dependents earning 50,000.00 – taxes 2669.

Married taxpayer with 3 dependents earning 50,000.00 each – taxes 12066.

Single no dependent – 6987 + single two dependent 3251 = 10,208

Marriage penaly = 1858.

Since the large majority of married couple now have both working, the financial benefit of the tax law is negative. Based on this there is more benefit from remaining single. Note that if the dependents are removed, as is likely with same sex marriage, the penalty will be even worse since higher tax brackets would come into play.

Based on the above, the argument for same sex marriage is largely specious since there are no benefits and only negatives gained for the participants in same sex marriages.

You got it schmuck! Mostly because of people like you who want to cram their lifestyly down my throat. I don't give a rat's behind what you do in the privacy of your own home, but when you want to dictate to me and mine what is moral or immoral I draw the line.

Pokin' another of your fellow freaks of nature in the pooper is indeed SICK! There is no other explanation for it. Sucking on your buddy's salami is just as sick! Why is it you want to teach my grandchildren otherwise? It is because deep down all you butt bandits are secretly pedophiles? Or is it because you are afraid your numbers will dwindle without teaching it to another generation?

Nothing you say or do will ever convince me homos are just misunderstood and need me to okay their behavior for the good of society! Nature says you are DEAD WRONG! Which is exactly what you will soon be, as it is impossible for you to reproduce and putting things back into your exit hole is about as unhealthy as you can get!

So just go back to your significant other and cry about the "normal" people being unable to accept you and your perverted thoughts and acts!

Let's not let them drive this off-topic
This isn't about gay marriage it's about how the left accepts anti-American hate spews but goes on the attack if gay black unicorns are even mentioned in satire.

The reason for this is to push the liberal (now called "progressive" because the left turned liberal into a dirty word) agenda. The left has to disarm Americans to turn America into a socialist nation. The left has to get rid of God or they would have to face their own lack of morality. Socialists can't have their hedonistic utopia, if morality and individual rights exist. That's why they constantly attack gun rights, property rights and God. The only things keeping America from turning into a POS euroPEON style socialist nation is the Constitution (which they're fighting with the ACLU) God and patriotic Americans.

Here they come - right on schedule
If the pro-Sodomite and feminist lobbies would only muster half as much energy in defense of America as they expend on lambasting Doc Adams, the war against the Islamo-terrorists would be over already. It is a testament to their narcissistic natures that they can only get riled up when the subject is their own selfish lifestyle and agenda. Killing the unborn? Yawn. Beheading Jews and Christians? Change the channel. Western civilization on the brink? Let’s go see The Vagina Monologues! Illegal immigrants swarming unchecked over our borders? Hey, has anyone seen the pink tutu I was planning on wearing for the gay pride parade

But let the word get out that Adams is being mean to the Sodomites and the war machine cranks up to overdrive in moments. Faxes start humming, bloggers start blogging, spammers start spamming, and lest we forget them, the pro-Sodomizers and Feminazis descend on Townhall like a plague of locusts. Nice.

Liberals
Stupid liberals (I know that's redundant) don't see the big picture on any issue. And when they are wrong as always, their excuse is that they meant well.

Dr. Adams, keep being a thorn in their sides.

There they go, better late than never...
All of antiteenmommas posts are gone, I guess her constant attempts to get around word filters and her hate spews were too much for townhall to take. The left never were very good at rules that apply to them. The collective IQ of the comments section shot up 100 points.

Go Dr. Adams, go!

Apology 12
Dr. Mr. Adams,

You need not fear gay unicorns. ALL unicorns are gay. That is why there are none left. Thank goodness congress did not allow gay unicorn adoption, otherwise we would be knee-deep in gay unicorns.

And no one wants that.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (which I'm not). The term progressive has always been used in context with Socialist ideology. Soviet Union, Vietnam, China, Cuba, the list goes on of nations and leaders who claimed that they were PROGRESSIVE. Finally our Liberal opposition has "come out of the closet" and admitted that they are SOCIALISTS which is the antithesis of our CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC!

Please correct me if I'm wrong
Wikipedia thinks you're wrong.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressivism
" (in the strict or radical sense) aims to establish a fundamentally different society from the one that currently exists in most countries. While there are different schools of socialism, which often tend to have differing views of the ideal socialist society, some general examples of socialist concepts are: The desire to abolish capitalism, to place the means of production under the collective ownership of the people, and to achieve a very high degree of economic and political equality. Socialists argue that capitalism exploits the working class, and they desire for workers to play a vital role in moving society from capitalism to socialism (either by rising up in a revolution or general strike, or by voting en masse for socialist political parties).

In contrast, by definition progressivism aims to achieve gradual social change, and most progressives are outright opposed to any form of radical revolution."

However, they're both on the left side of the political spectrum. Today the liberals that used to call themselves liberal now want to be called progressives because liberal became such a dirty word.

Reading this:
http://www.tysknews.com/Depts/gov_philosophy/socialists.htm

You get the impression that "progressives" and "socialists" have a lot in common, and they do, however communists and socialists don't like to use each other's labels because of the perceived attitude toward religion in society, even though in the 19th century they were used almost interchangeably.

In todays world, progressive and socialist are interchangeable but communism will always be the redheaded-stepchild of socialism, so some of your list wouldn't be considered progressive.

European Human Rights Panel?
The "European Human Rights Panel" appear not to exist, at all, anywhere. Is this a fictitious posting of Dr. Adams?

While your semantics are exceptional, you should look at the factual statements made by each of those nations and individuals.

Communism may be the "red-headed step-child" of Socialism, it is still a form of socialism, whether either side likes to admit it or not. Just like Liberals don't like to admit that they are socialists so instead they use semantics. We all remember that "great" American leader arguing about the definition of the word IS!

Flame (appropriate name)
The "statements" mean what? While they're all related they're not all progressive. Hitler once told the Jews, "Trust me!" Statements mean nothing, I base my life on results.
