Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?


The U.S. Department of Justice seal bears a Latin phrase: "Qui Pro Domina Justitia Sequitur." The motto refers to the attorney general, "who prosecutes on behalf of Lady Justice." But under President Barack Obama's politically corrupt DOJ, Lady Justice is getting the shaft.

To wit: Let's examine the uproar over Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to protect hate-mongering thugs who harassed and bullied precinct workers and voters on Election Day in Philadelphia. Oh, wait. There's been no uproar. Let me tell you why.

Two weeks ago, in a highly unusual move, Holder dismissed default judgments his department had won against two of three defendants charged with violating the Voting Rights Act. On Nov. 4, 2008, a billy club-wielding militant in military-style boots and beret stood outside a Philly polling location with a similarly dressed partner. Citizen journalists from the Pennsylvania-based blog Election Journal captured the menacing duo on video. One of the watchdogs observed: "I think it might be a little intimidating that you have a stick in your hand."

That was an understatement. Witness Bartle Bull, a Democratic lawyer who organized for Bobby Kennedy and worked for the civil rights movement in Mississippi, signed a sworn affidavit decrying the Election Day brutishness. Serving as a poll watcher that day, he called the behavior of Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson "the most blatant form of voter discrimination I have encountered in my life."

One of them, Bull reported, taunted poll observers: "You are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."

If the pair had been dressed in white sheets, pandemonium would have broken loose. But the ebony-clad thugs were members of the New Black Panther Party who had been dispatched by Malcolm X wannabe Malik Shabazz to "guard" the polls. Translation: Protect them from scrutiny. Shield them from sunlight. Keep independent voters and observers out.

Who is Malik Shabazz? The bespectacled race hustler grabbed the spotlight in the weeks after the September 11 terrorist attacks by defending Osama bin Laden, blaming President Bush for 9/11, bashing Israel and blasting our Founding Fathers as "snakes." His group also infamously rallied behind the Duke University lacrosse rape hoaxer. And on the day before the presidential election last fall, one of Shabazz's "field marshals," Minister Najee Muhammad, held a "black power" rally promising to send his forces to polls across the country "to ensure that the enemy does not sabotage the black vote."

The Bush DOJ filed suit against Malik Shabazz, Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson in early January 2009. None of the defendants filed an answer to the lawsuit, putting them all into default. Instead of taking the default judgment that DOJ is entitled to against all of the defendants, the Obama team fully dismissed the lawsuits against Malik Shabazz and Jackson. Jackson, you should know, is an elected member of the Philadelphia Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher. Witness Greg Lugones told me, "Obama campaign operatives were on site throughout the entire episode."

Former Justice Department official and voting rights scholar Hans Van Spakovsky added: "I have never heard of the Department dismissing a case it has already won by default. They have … sent the message that hurling racial epithets and slurs at voters and intimidating and threatening voters at the polls is fine with the Holder Justice Department -- at least if you are African-American. I seriously doubt that would have happened if the races had been reversed in this case."

Exactly. And the harassment was aimed not just at voters, but at white poll workers trying to ensure a fair and lawful process in a city infamous for machine politics and street money pollution.

Who are the racial cowards, Holder?

On the heels of this voter intimidation protection plan, the Obama Justice Department issued another decision that undermines electoral integrity -- but bolsters Democratic voter drives. The department this week denied the state of Georgia the ability to enact strict citizenship voter verification rules previously approved by two federal courts. As Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel explained: "DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to register non-citizens to vote in Georgia's elections, and the state has no ability to verify an applicant's citizenship status or whether the individual even exists."

On top of all that, Holder recently politicized the legal review process involving the contentious issue of D.C. voting rights. After careful study, the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) issued an opinion that a House bill on the matter was unconstitutional. Holder, who supports D.C. voting rights along with Obama, overrode his staff lawyers' ruling -- and simply ordered up an alternative opinion that fit the White House agenda.

Lady Justice is now protected by a security force armed with billy clubs and lawyers who serve the cause of protecting the re-election of Barack Obama over the rule of law.

Tip of the iceberg...
One day soon I hope the American people will wake up and realize what exactly is happening to our country. This is a progressive destruction of our values and our safety as a nation by the liberal left unequaled by any other time in history. Conservative historians (truthful) will show how our nation is being destroyed from the inside by our liberal, godless leaders in the years to come (if we still have a country).
Eric Holder is a disgrace to our nation and his words and actions are inexcusible. Ms Malkin exposes the horrible truth to this voter intimidation incident that would have provoked riots in the streets had it involved whites in the suspect roles. God help us, we need it.

No justice no peace?

Well, when the king is wicked, so are all of his servants.

We now have anarchy coming from the WH and peace is not possible under a criminal gang.

Are We Having the Discussion Mr. Holder?
Dear Mr. Holder:

You said America needed to have a discussion on race. Is the current discussion regarding a supreme court nominee a good start? How about your actions as Attorney General and how you look the other way when race is involved?

What is your opinion regarding Latina judges v. white ones? What about other minority judges v. white ones? What about the Ricci case? I'm sure there are more 'race' issues we could talk about, but this is a good start. I eagerly await your reply.

Malcolm X was a better, braver man than Malik Shabazz. He ultimately LEFT the Nation of Islam, rejecting its racism and anti-Semitism. He was murdered for that.

Thread Carefully Michelle.
I love this hard hitting stuff Michelle, keep up the great work but thread lightly with Mr. Holder-that racial chip on his shoulder is huge, and the fact that he has a little power now makes him slightly dangerous. That dismissal of the suit filed against the "ghetto meows" or the new black panther party and overriding his staff's opinion on D.C voting rights is just Mr. Holder's way of flexing his political muscle.
He want's to have a national discourse on race as long as all us Blacks are allowed to forever
play the victim card and all the white folks, especially liberals, continue to apologise ad nauseum and give us special privileges such as Affirmative Action and the eventual piece-de- resistance "Reparations".
With all the BS going on in this Administration I would'nt be too surprised if that peaceful muslim who shot our soldiers outside the recruiting center in Arkansas gets off.
Hey remember the O.J. Simpson verdict-Yeah.

But I can see no other way to bring it to light because I have seen no news articles about it lately. It is a resolution called H.R. 40. The slavery reparations bill. I find it confusing. There are many Americans of African Decent, and Americans of European decent that had absolutely no part in slavery in the United States of America. So should the Congress decide that reparations should be paid, how do the intend to do this fairly and equally. I mean come on there are surely Americans of African decent who have ancestors who sold their one kind into that slavery living here, so will they get money for just being black when they may have ancestors who were on the wrong side of the slave trade?

Ignore his rulings!
Georgia should grow some ba!!s like Texas and declare their state's soveriegnty to determine their own voting laws. Holder won't be able to enforce his mandates except through the courts. It is the Supreme Court that will decide if Georgia can require citizen proof and not Comrade Holder. He will lose in the end if the states just stand up to him.

In addition, the governor can petition the state's senators and congressmen to pressure the president and his cabinet with loss of support on other issues if Holder continues to get out of line.

This is rediculous! If they are hating being here so much, why not go back to the wonderful African country their ancestors came from? Most of the time it was other Africans who sold Africans from rival tribes to the slave traders. Few, ;if any, were from the U.S. or the Colonies of England. No one who is alive now had anything to do with this. So, why doe people who are not guilty of this expected to repay people who were never subjegated to this? Government support
of the Philadelphia poll abuse by the Black Panthers is tyranny. Raw, naked,blatant tyranny. Moreover, it is tyranny in the most sensitive area of representative government, the ability to take peaceful legal action against tyrannical abuse. When peaceful legal action is made impossible, what is left?

Obama has talked about a new government security force with powers and arms equal to the military. Is this an example? What color are the new uniforms?

What I do not understand is the level of surprise that is expressed both by commentators and respondents. Take a dispassionate look at what has happened. Voter fraud and embezzlement by ACORN, an organisation for which Obama once worked as a lawyer, no Federal Investigation by the Administration - or apparently interest. The replacement senator for Obama's seat apparently involved in a pay to play scam, but seated by the Majority Leader apparently without due scrutiny. Franken apparently deeply involved in voter fraud involving ACORN activists, DoJ interest in this vital senate race NIL (how would it have been if the incumbent Republican had won?). How many Tax cheats have been appointed to the White House and the Cabinet, have they been pursued by the DoJ - NO! How many have come from the totally discredited Chicago/Illinois machine politics?

Look at Foreign Policy. He appointed Hilary as Sec. of State then took away much of her department by appointing Special Envoy's to just about every part of the world - question what is left for her to do? Now he hangs Israel out to dry and virtually invites Iran and Syria to attack and for Palestinian terrorists to intensify their attacks. He also opened the door for Iran to produce a Nuclear weapon increasing the possibility of such a weapon finding it's way into the hands of terrorists and a pre-emptive Nuclear attack on Israel by Iran or vice versa.

I cannot help but feel that since the inauguration America has become less democratic and the world a more dangerous place. It is of course more than possible that I am wrong, and I pray to God that I am.

We need to fix the problem
Voter fraud is endemic to many political centers (Boston, Chicago, Philly are just a couple of examples) where the problem has persisted for decades. So long, in fact, that many "insiders" have come to believe it is their right to exploit the system.

The only way to fix the problem is for all citizens to assert their sovereignty at every opportunity at the local level. Insist that identification be required to register to vote and to cast a vote. Insist that voter fraud be treated as political corruption - which it is.(Perhaps we should require the same for political candidates, what say you Barry?)

I am for paper ballots and tight controls. Maybe we need to require that poll workers be selected in a manner similar to juries. We need to find some way to reengage the public. We are all becoming lambs being led to the slaughter and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

If this trend continues...
... Warren G. Harding and Ulysses S. Gran will end up being called two of the four or five greatest Presidents ever. Historians had ranked them toward (or in Harding's case AT) the bottom of the pile, mainly based on the corruption within their administrations (which, of course, never involved them personally.) Since the mid '90s (Hmmm, I wonder why), Historians have at least revisited Harding's case and declared him "Underrated," noting that Harding, himself, was a competent administrator and leader, but he simply chose poorly for some of his Cabinet positions. Since Historians are going to want to put Mr. Bill and Barack Hus-Change Obama at or near the top of the list of Presidents when all is said and done, They won't be able to - while keeping the appearance of nonpartisanship - without putting scandal-riddled Republicans in the same category.

On the other hand, if the Obama Administration continues on its current path for the next 3 years, 8 months, 17 Days, 5 Hours, 42 Minutes, and 8 Seconds, he could end up surpassing Jimmy Carter and even James Buchannan as the worst ever, given his own bumbling AND the corruption within his administration.

What is being cashed in on these days?
Fear is BIG business these days and the dems know and are cashing in on it. Get on the phone to your local gov't officials and bombard them with your rejection of their fear tactics and tell them it wont work toward your votes. Hmmmm, if not, could our voting rights be the next to go? Not in my house.

Just Another Day
In about two weeks I will be officially bald! I still have a clump or two of what was once a full head of hair. Thanks Michelle for keeping the focus on these issues as they would go completely unnoticed in the MSM. This type of judicial prejudice is perhaps the biggest threat to our democracy. It is sad and frustrating that in only 5 months I have come to expect the worst in our elected and appointed officials. My worst fears are being realized daily and I am absolutely horrified at the pace of policy making and what it will mean for our futures. Where is the outrage! I have never believed in CHANGE more than I do now. Can we vote these bums out in 18 months…YES WE CAN! So long as the elections are open and free from coercion and thuggery. Wake up CRACKERS! Before it’s too late.

Obama and ACORN against Voter ID

Barack Obama sued the State of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to get the state to comply with the federal “Motor Voter Law” law which Republican Governor Jim Edgar correctly argued would invite voter fraud, partly because government officers registering new voters are “under orders not to ask anyone for identification or proof of citizenship.”

ACORN has been prominent in the fight against photo I.D. for voting and other means of voter identification.

ACORN specifically sought out Obama to represent them in the lawsuit.

Obama an ACORN Trainer

While in Chicago Barack Obama worked with an Alinsky group DCP (Developing Communities Project) as well as 'Project Vote', both groups were created by Saul Alinsky.

Barack Obama also worked for another Alinsky foundation, the IAF (Industrial Areas Foundation) whose project “Citizens USA” helped over 1 million Illegal Aliens obtain citizenship.

ACORN was founded by Wade Rathke, an associate of Bill Ayers in the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) - a well known American terrorism group.

Barack Obama became a 'Trainer' for ACORN and used the Alinsky book "Rules for Radicals" as his textbook.

"Rules for Radicals" states that 'Community Organizers' are primarily 'Agitators', who must fan the flames of resentment in a community and the latest hostilities to a point of overt expression.

The 'Community Organizers' must search and find any controversial issues and stir up dissatisfaction and discontentment in the community.

Alinsky taught that 'Truth' is relative and constantly changing and values are relative.

Barack Obama taught ACORN students using the Alinsky book 'Rules for Radicals' which had the following dedication:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer" Saul Alinsky

I will say it, Eric Holder let those men go because they are the same race as he is.
The State of Georgia does not have to listen to the Federal government in regards to ID check at polling places. Since when do we let bureaucrats run the country and trample on States rights. It is not unreasonable to ask someone to prove who they are.

A POINT OVERLOOKED
Muslims deny or severely restrict the 'rights' of women, who are subject to and used as chattels or property by Muslim men.
Muslim supporters, then, following suit, would have NO REGARD for 'LADY JUSTICE' or do anything on HER behalf.

And NOW that We the People have been TOLD that America "IS NOT a Chritian Nation" but IS the "largest Muslim Country in the World", LADY JUSTICE is merely a 'symbol' to be COVERED UP, no different than the 'symbols' covered up by our government before barry spoke at Georgetown.

Most of us already knew that we're in serious trouble... but day by day we're realizing just HOW MUCH trouble we're REALLY in.

President Obama and MR. Holder do not even care that the ‘new’ black panthers are openly militant and intimidating, I think they encourage it. All to circumvent congress and the people, on constitutional matters such as legal citizens only voting; be they Black, White, Hispanic or whatever race or religion you would think a man of mixed race would seek a balance of all races and govern from the center as Martin Luther King Jr. espoused. As I remember my history he was for fairness for all and changing the system peacefully and legally not by force or intimidation as the lack panthers of the 60’s and now believe. Not through selective enforcement of law but by repeal of law via congress or public support.

In his trip to the Middle East I think the president is letting his true Muslim beliefs show through. I hope this is a sign that he understands the radicals and can deal with them rather than he believes as they do that we as a country should not be top dog any more, since he has done everything right to devalue the dolor so that gold is near 1000 an ounce. And our heavy manufacturing is nearly dead, as whiteness Hummer and other car brads bought by foreign manufactures. We are clearly in a period

... of rampant lawlessness by government in the United States. Our federal government is now carefully funneling us down the path toward another revolution that they plan will dissolve the U.S. Constitution and make America a lowly third rate country.

This is planned part of the destruction of our nationality as an independent nation.

The presidential part of the Executive Branch is thoroughly corrupt, worse than under the Clinton administration. Only the military component of the Executive Branch is still true to America and the Constitution, and they are conflicted because of the evil leadership from POTUS.

We all know the Legislative Branch is corrupt, and the corruption involves both major parties. It's so bad that the small number of lawful and conscientious Senators and Congressmen are basically impotent to help bring our country back into a state of lawfulness. The good guys are just outnumbered by the bad guys.

And the Judicial Branch - what can you say about them except that they have totally given up their role as watchdogs over the other two branches. Truly pathetic.

For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010.

We should listen, because I believe this has a very real possibility of happening.

If the United States does 'fall apart' it will surely be the death knell of a once great nation, and will make the communists and religious fanatics of the world very happy.

So we, the voters, are just continually being screwed by our own government, and we need to consider seriously dissolving this government in favor of a new government with a constitution including even tighter controls.

I was a poll watcher for the election.
We had to attend 2 meetings with an attorney and learn quite a lot of election law in order to ensure fairness across the board. One of the main themes was, if we had reason to challenge someone's credentials, we had to be very careful not to be intimidating. I believe had I arrived dressed as these 2 fools were and with a stick, the election officials would have had me arrested immediately, yet these clowns were allowed to stand there scaring and harrasing good people excercising their rights.

What occured in this case should have resulted in some jail time for these 2 thugs, it sure would have if 2 white guys pulled a stunt like that, isn't that what the civil rights act was all about Mr holder?

So, the message goes out..."get in their faces" as Il Duce recommended in the campaign, they did and others will and this administration will back them rather than the law.

Holder is a disgrace, his actions during the clinton admin should have precluded any job in gov't, yet he's Il Duce's hatchet man.

Rather than a post racial candidate, this clown and his minions are in the pay back whitey business, you don't listen to a guy like wright for 20 years if you disagree with him.
You don't hang out with avowed communists if you disagree with them and you don't spend a million dollars to keep your records from public scrutiny if you have nothing to hide.

Why do we have three branches of gov.
Why do we have a judicial branch if the Obama executive branch can with a wave of their hand undo the rulings of two federal courts with regards to the voter identifications laws in Georgia? This administration has no respect for our constitution and the rule of law. If there was a need to appeal the ruling of the federal courts should that not have been an issue to take before the supreme court? Instead Obama's henchmen assert their authority. If I was the governor or attorney general of Georgia I would insist that law be enforced. The federal DOJ is overstepping their jurisdiction.

You have yet to point out a single "lie" in this or any other Malkin column. Certainly if all she does is spew an endless stream of "lies," you should at least be able to provide ONE example, no?

Actually, I've listened closely to his ideas. But they are not his ideas at all. They are the same tired, old ideas that have been tried numerous times throughout history with uniformly disastrous results. But I'm sure they'll work this time.

Ignore the twits like Terry
and start thinking about how we, as conservatives, can make our voices heard. My husband and I watch Glenn Beck in the afternoon (5PM EST). Right now he is touring the U.S. and getting some huge audiences and great feedback.

I can only hope that more charismatic people like him, begin to do the same. Remember, please, that numbers count and that is why the thugs were at the voting both.

Next election, I am driving anyone who needs a lift to the voting booth and walking them through the door.

Over the last two centuries plus, American men and women have fought and died to protect the greatest nation ever to grace the earth. They have made great sacrifices for their children and grandchildren...us. Now, we, the beneficiaries of those sacrifices, sit idly on our hands and watch as a 3rd world thug, Barack Hussein Obama, dismantles and destroys everything our fathers fought to establish. His every act is corrupt. His appointees are corrupt. He seizes whole industries and "fires" private industry CEOs. He GIVES the majority of GM stock to the UAW union...by what authority??? His organization, ACORN, has corrupted the election process...do you believe there will EVER be another fair election? His militant black Attorney General dismisses charges against the Black Panthers who intimidated voters in Philadelphia. Obama travels the world, trashing this country to willing ears overseas. He abandons Israel, in favor of his Muslim brothers. He has US troops training "Palestinians" in Jordan to attack Israel right now. Everything Obama does is corrupt, unconstitutional, and anti-American.
When will we stop him? When? After it is too late? It is time to call upon the US military to remove this corrupt dictator and restore the Republic. If the military will not do it, and forget the flaccid Republicans, saving our nation falls to us. By 2010, it will be too late.

Since race is obviously so much on your mind,and keeping that "angry edge of yours" is so important a part of your day, I'm sure if you actually VIEW THE VIDEO and use your imagination to visualize two "white crackers" in front of the polling place with baseball-bats and confederate flags on their T-shirts (insteda of new Black Panthers) you might have a "reverse racial" perspective of why these New Black Panthers were so offensive. Would they have been equally less offensive to you if they were the the new KKK?

When it come to the black panthers and the KKK the differences in their over-all racial intoleranc are only by nuance and activities.

When will Obama worshippers admit...

According to Barack Obama himself, were we to *not* pass his stimulus bill, and simply continue on the Bush course, the unemployment rate right now would have risen to 8.4%. He states a little more than a week following the passage of his stimulus bill that because the bill was passed, the average unemployment rate for the year would be about 8.1%, and that by the end of the year it would be below 8%. Well, the unemployment rate right now is 9.4% and continuing to SKYROCKET out of control. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer stated openly that if Obama continues on his current course and raises taxes on businesses, that he would send thousands of more jobs overseas. We've already lost 3 million jobs under Obama. Verdict: EPIC FAIL!

Since Obama has taken office, he's betrayed our allies in eastern Europe by conspiring with the Russians to reignite the Cold War, he's snubbed our allies in Israel by stating that he'll take Iran's side if Israel attempts to thwart any Iranian nuclear strike -- going so far as to say that Iran has the RIGHT to a nuclear arsenal, the North Koreans, knowing that Obama would do NOTHING, has launched a missile at Japan and detonated a nuclear warhead, he has done NOTHING as the Chinese have been attacking our navy vessals, allowed Somali pirates to take an American captian hostage for about a week, became the first US president to bow to a foreign monarch, and has kissed up to enemies of the United States who want us dead.
