Will Sarah Palin make a run at the GOP Nomination in 2012?

The New York Times is always ready and willing to serve as lead public relations staffers for the open-borders movement. On May Day, the day of mass illegal alien protests across the country, the paper saw fit to print a front-page sob story decrying rising illegal alien deportations.

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, facing intense political pressure to toughen enforcement [read: do their jobs], removed 221,664 illegal immigrants from the country over the last year," the Times reported ominously. That's "an increase of more than 37,000 -- about 20 percent -- over the year before, according to the agency's tally."

221,664. Big number. It certainly sounds like we're getting serious about immigration enforcement, if you believe what the Times tells you.

But you know better than that. It's what the paper didn't tell you on the day of the pro-amnesty demonstrations that provides the truly alarming news. Far from a nation that takes its immigration laws seriously, we remain in a shoddy, dangerous state of immigration non-enforcement nearly six years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks -- chaos that will only worsen if Congress and the White House join hands on a "comprehensive" illegal alien amnesty plan.

In March, the Homeland Security Department's inspector general disclosed that the feds have lost track of 623,292 fugitive illegal aliens. These "absconders" were apprehended by immigration officers, placed in the immigration court system, ordered out of the country and released. Never to be seen again.

221,664 "removed" illegal aliens vs. 623,292 released illegal alien fugitives.

In other words: There are nearly three times as many officially designated illegal alien fugitives freed by the feds as there are illegal aliens who have been removed over the last year.

This inconvenient truth was glossed over by the Times. Continued...

Into the Fish Vat
In my next life, I'm going to appear on Dancing with the Stars with Michelle. She is the ultimate in cuddliness!

Okay, I got bored, and I came up with a bunch of new political jokes. My "challenge" was to take real headlines from TH headlines and make incisive (?) comments on them. I ransacked the "news" articles, the ones nobody reads? You can find my efforts by clicking on my name above. If you don't like them, you can react by sending a $2,000 contribution to Mitt Romeny, who needs it for five trips to Edwards' hair styliest. Here's an example:

"Four Saved from Giant Vat of Fish Feces"
Some liberals will go to any length in their quest for alternative fuels.

can't argue with you
I live in Los Angeles. I am a native of the city, which...in a population of over 4 million, I have become a rare bird.

I worked for the LAPD. I'm taking time off to write, but the forensic photo unit is the sort of environment where the four years I spent with them, seems more like eight.
We are the first responders to any incident.
The Bush administration, post 9/11 has ratcheted up the risks that put Americans at physical and economic risks, more disastrous.
Special Order #40 is a concept that is unworkable now with so many illegals crowded into this city and state. With law enforcement agencies paralyzed to act or INTERACT, the situation is CHAOS.
And THAT is exactly what led to 9/11 happening...'not connecting the dots'!

I sit here, everyday, and listen to the news-car accident here...gang shooting there, domestic homicide...too often, the perp is an illegal alien. Many times over! They tend to be someone who has crossed the border several times AFTER deportation.
This issue effects EVERYTHING!
And in a BAD way!

And our elected leaders insult our intelligence and us to our faces!

Piling millions of people into this country without knowing who they are or where they are, is a dangerous thing to since WE'RE AT WAR!
Are we are war, or aren't we? We need to go into some kind of mode that can keep us independent of foreign products and workers.

Whose safety and quality could be in question.
What really pisses me off is my parents and grandparents survived the indignity and corruption of Jim Crow. I lost ten aunts and uncles in their childhoods, to a racist policy. My family didn't have the right to vote without threat of death sometimes.

And all the other black folks just like them that fought for their basic human rights, THEY FOUGHT AND DEMANDED them from the country that owed it to them, so therefore made the changes to the laws and their own destiny.

I DO NOT appreciate people who CHEATED our laws, organizing against the regulations of immigration and pretending that they aren't cheaters or the harbingers of chaos and danger.

I do NOT appreciate people who say this is about 'fighting for rights', when they don't have the stones, OR the inclination to demand them from their country of origin that owes them.
I'd be the first one to join them in their fight, if they were fighting the right entity.
And waving the right flag in the right place.
It's not about the land, but the organization of it and it's effectivness towards it's citizens and vice versa.
So it doesn't matter where the border is, as far as Mexico is concerned.

And I don't care how off topic this is, but it applies at the insult.
Our elected leaders, and many of the populace here...have been able to amend their state Constitutions, sign the DOMA, apply the DADT...all manner of ways to create chaos and difficulty for gay citizens.

Yet, over and over again, illegal aliens keep getting treated and accomodated like model class.
From the President down, they keep holding illegal aliens in high regard as 'people who just want to work hard and take care of their families
as IF that isn't true of gay citizens?!
Where does ANYONE get off treating gay citizens, any citizens this way...?!

The pressure to keep gay citizens at a distance from the Constitution and Bill of Rights has taken higher priority, than allowing illegal aliens to make a mockery of them.

Dangerous, disgusting...and blatantly disrespectful of high office AND the oaths taken to uphold it's mission for ALL citizens.
